Everyone has their own reasons for entering this market, even if the price drops. If there is no clear investment plan, it is not too strange to make a mistake in the market and lose money. I'm also not too into absolutes, so the recent market movements have given me a lot of opportunities to buy BTC or ETH in a better position than those who are losing money, as I said before. I definitely agree that BTC and ETH seems like the two that will stand for a long time, I add a bit of BNB to that as well. I had over 20 different coins in my portfolio before this fall, and if it was a bull run I would keep them all. Totally agree with you this is not a great time to buy altcoins at all.To be fair I don't think the bear market is over yet one has to be very careful with his funds. Whenever investing in any project proper research should be made to know about the potential of the project because the market condition is bad at the moment. The best thing to do is to wait till it recovers before making investments.

It's not all of the altcoins are having this bad time right now. Polygon is having a great day in past 7 days and has pumped for more than 50% in 7 days which is really amazing considering whole bear market we are currently experiencing these days. This might be just bubble and another dump might happen really soon, just check the market regularly if I can say.

For now we really have to be careful in investing because the market situation is not completely stable, so don't expect the decline when it is at the lowest point and I believe that large dumps will occur again and this will last a very long time as it has happened in the previous year, so to invest you must be ready to bear every risk that exists, but it would be nice for us to monitor the development first for the next.

I am not sure if "large" dumps could occur again. I get that there could be some drops, there is no denying that and I have to say that this is going to be something that is decent and go up soon, and I love that. But at the end off the day, it is not going to be something that is a huge dump, it is going to be something that is doing a bit weird if we see another 50% drop for example.

At anytime makes sense, but we are talking about bear market which means thats its going to be even worse right now for alts, you have to stay your cool and do not really make any mistakes at all. I personally try to avoid getting into alts, and even sell all my low level alts and only stay in top three, thats a lot better. This is because I believe that alts are more volatile than big coins, they could go down more and yes they could go up more too but I can't take that chance. This is why I personally stayed away from the alt world and went with just peak coins. In a bull run, I am careful about them but I can also take that risk because during bull run only a few do badly, or if you invest into a scam one, otherwise they will do fine.

The market at this moment go up and down, you should hold it first because historically, every 4 years BTC must have a significant decline like in 2019. Just hold, for now, don't sell because of FOMO you'll earn back your money when the market recovers, if you lose a little investment for it then so be it. Be sure to do your research before buying anything. Understand, for example, the privacy risks that are associated with certain coins. I think just wait until 2024 BTC to the moon BTC halving has never failed to increase the price of bitcoin.

The decline happened in 2018 and not in 2019, in fact in 2019 we started the year at 3.5k dollars, reached at a peak of 14k, and finished it as a YTD x2 price increase of 7k dollars start. That is what we are looking at if you ask me, it had a drop this year as well, but we are going to eventually go up again.

Or if it is like 2018 then I am expecting even a bigger crash by come November because that is what happened in 2018, where the price was around 6 to 8k and then crashed to under 4k during November.
