Title: KYC casino or no-KYC casino, but with no bonuses/no cashback?
Post by: Wind_FURY on June 23, 2022, 10:48:53 AM
If you were given a choice, would you play regularly in a cryptocurrency casino WITH KYC, and with added benefits like first deposit/welcome bonuses and cashbacks?

Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?

I always prefer to play on KYC Casino, because it has a license, and this mean that there is an higher safety for the users. That casino that doesn't use KYC seems to be place where to put bet only with dirty money. So,

Better to play in casino with KYC and have a sort of safety, and avoid casino that doesn't offer KYC because you won't be never protected.

About bonus, I prefer it always, I usually look only on that site which offer high bonus  ;D

This is a dilemma for me, Actually most of the casino didn't require KYC and offers bonus at the same time but for the sake of discussion given the circumstances that you provided. I will go for the no-KYC casino since I’m not gambling for the bonus so I can skip that part in exchange for KYC just to gamble. Even before, there is no bonus such as cashback and welcome bonus on casino like PD and Bitsler yet thre still a lot of players playing on it because they can freely play without KYC.

In past I may hate KYC because i am more concern about the privacy , but eventually as I go along the time ? then I realized that there is no safest way to gamble but to play in KYC requiring site specially if they are here serving gambler for long years now so i may choose this KYC thing .

I have some privacy life and some non privacy life, what I have noticed about gambling sites is that they will still later request their customers to do KYC, that is normal, even the ones that are not yet common may not have stringent KYC policies, but as they are getting more known, they are also getting known to the government and they have to comply with AML and CTF rules who makes them not to have any other option than to request for KYC from their customers.

I do not have much funds on gambling sites, just like $100, this makes me prefer no KYC gambling sites, but do not let us deceive ourselves, all the gambling sites will still request for KYC later which makye it impossible to play further on no KYC casino sites, but I will prefer no KYC.

Reminds me of the CEX ads I often see on social media. They offer some money (spare change) if you sign up with them and complete KYC verification ;D

Now to the questions, I'm having a hard time because I know there are many casinos that are still offering those incentives and features without forcing KYC upon their users. You just need to reach a certain rank, a number of wager, or other requirements and that's about it. Anyway, I'll probably stick to non-KYC casino if those are the only options gamblers have.

Without KYC for sure. I miss the directbet days. When you didn't even have to register to place a bet. No sane website will bring that option now. They closed down for a reason(matchfixing in some major league), and this is why KYC has become a must for big books to prevent any abuse.

But if you aren't a whale, then you can still enjoy the promos without submitting any personal documents(like stake, cloudbet). This is what I do.

NO-KYC over anything tbh.

I don't care about the promotions if I can't withdraw them just because they think I am a suspicious person and needs to be examined. Fuck KYC.

I'd rather play on a non-KYC & zero promotions casino than playing on a pro-KYC & 100% promotions casino. You may have a good lucky run on a pro-KYC casino but sooner or later they'll want to know who you are and that's when the trouble will begin.

Of course, I would opt for no KYC because I don't have to send any documents to the casino and can protect my privacy. First deposit/welcome bonuses, cashback and other extra gifts are good for us but I guess in crypto casinos, they also give those bonuses so we needn't worry. We can look for crypto casinos that can provide those bonuses and choose which is comfortable for us to play gambling.

Choosing which casino between KYC and No-KYC just because of extra bonuses is stupid IMO.
For me, privacy is more important than the bonuses you are talking about so I'll go with casino without KYC in this case.
I'm not against KYC although I was, I can accept KYC in gambling but I will not do it in non reputable casinos.
As I'm not a big gambler, sending my personal document is not worth the risk.

There are a lot of incidents from casino that leaking there users details including emails and personal info. I’m really not comfortable to send my personal documents that related to gambling because it might backfire to me once it was leaked online since online gambling is not allowed in my country.

My personal documents is more valuable to bonuses in the casino so I will go for the no KYC option this time.

Two choices that are quite difficult, KYC is not a fun thing but bonuses and other prizes are something that players look forward to. I would choose no KYC without a bonus but so far because the casino competition is quite tight, almost all casinos provide bonuses or promos to make their players stay with them and until now I have also been able to find or play on one of the gambling websites that never asked for KYC but still providing a promo that is quite interesting in my opinion.

In that case, would you prefer no-KYC casino, if that is the only difference. My right to privacy and the protection of my personal information are more important to me than bonuses and promotions.

Additionally, I don't believe KYC increases the safety of my funds, as some are proclaiming. There are scam casinos and there are legitimate casinos, and KYC has nothing to do with it. In fact, scam casinos will probably sell your KYC info to third parties.

I don't mind playing in a casino without promo or cash back, as long as I do not reveal my private details.  Honestly, I seldom use promos since it requires certain numbers of wagering for a requirement to cash the winnings out.  I often look at these wagering requirements as a hassle.  I always intend to play in a deposit wager and withdraw when winning pattern and the wagering requirement often hinders this system.  So yeah I don't mind about the bonuses as long as they let me keep my privacy.

I think this question varies on the type of gambler, either an active or a casual gambler; and the amount that they wager regularly.

Personally, I would prefer to choose a casino that requires KYC though offers several signup bonuses, etc. As someone who does not regularly gamble and only gambles only a relatively small amount, I doubt that there would be any harm nor conflict whenever I cash out my earnings even with all the KYC deposits.

If you are someone who gambles large amounts of BTCs in a single bet, it is much preferred to choose a casino that does not require you to present KYC documents for your safety.

I rarely play and bet on online gambling sites that implement the KYC system, most online gambling sites that I play do not require KYC, although some people think the kyc system is good, for me sharing my personal identity is not a good idea.

Of course, I prefer this one.
Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?

Of course I have a reason for that, it's simple, with today's sophisticated technology and the rampant issue of fraud and data sales, for that reason I don't trust the kyc system to be safe for my identity, not a little personal data is stolen and distributed by certain parties or sites, the proof is from gmail or incoming messages from unknown.

For that, I really enjoy betting on online gambling sites that don't have KYC with deposits, cashback, competence and so on.

It's best not to KYC, especially when gambling since we're dealing with our money, especially for crypto online gambling which has the main purpose to restrict people from knowing our identity. So, I choose to gamble on a website that will not require users to do KYC. Also, if these online casinos will try to do something like this that will give priority to KYC users than non-KYC users, then it will impact them greatly as whales and high rollers prepare to keep their identity to themselves.

Probably this kind of question will better fit online casinos that don't involve cryptocurrency and have an offline location so that users will be able to contact and go to their location in case a problem arises.

I will rather go for non-KYC and no bonuses, instead of optioning in for KYC, as long as the casino does not come up with though requirements for non-KYC players. Aside from that am not free with letting my information to a third party so I will remain with the casino that will not demand any form of verification no matter the amount of deposit or withdrawal.

Most of casinos in this forum is KYC casino, even they didn't the KYC until now but they will ask it in the future, who knows? as long as it's on their TOS, it's their right. Most people here expecting to play in no KYC casino, but it's just temporary.

Though I choose no KYC casino and played on KYC casino, but I always keep in mind whenever the casino will ask it.

I would play on a no-KYC casino or those who have a less strict KYC implementations.

Deposit bonuses and cashback are not that important for me since I am not a chronic gambler. Therefore those things are out of the question but I am sure many addicted gamblers depend on these for their quick shot bets when they run out of cash and hence they exist.

Again giving my KYC documents and getting identified with a casino in the future could be bad for any person depending on their local government rules, in that sense I dont think this group will be a large one at all.

After all, the anonymity of crypto gives the advantage to gamblers who want to hide from governments or worse, their spouses. ;D

I'm not going to be a hypocrite when it comes to offerings, but again I'm trying to avoid KYC as much as possible at this point. And ignore promotional cashback offers etc. Since I learned from several casinos where I did KYC, it wasn't worth what I got. Meanwhile, the data is just handed over without any profit. That's why chasing profits and providing up-to-date data is something I try to avoid. Although there are many offers, but we will also usually be asked to increase a certain deposit amount in order to fulfill some promotional requirements. The advantage without KYC is that I only bet according to the minimum funds I have even though I don't get any promotions.

Some people like to get some cashback for their deposits. Not all the people like that.So this was the reason for the casino to enable the cashback to the people who playing casino.

I prefer to be anonymous so be clear with a casino without KYC even though no bonus/cashback is given for me it's not a problem the most important thing I don't provide documents to the casino.

This may be a very difficult choice between the two because with KYC it is clear they want an additional weekly or monthly bonus on the other hand I prefer without KYC even though there is no bonus but the important thing is that my comfort and pleasure is maintained without the documents provided.

But basically even casinos without KYC are now giving a lot of bonuses at cryptocurrency casinos so I'm a bit happy with this even though from that statement it's a bit difficult.

First option, provided that their KYC isn't as invasive and isn't as extensive as those platforms who thinks that every penny coming in to their place is dirty money. More value for my money means a lot more I can do with it and the longer play time that I have in the platform. Also, I need this platform to be as trustworthy as possible, because even active email address are being sold in the dark web for some money, which is the reason why a lot of us here receive spam emails that contain phishing links and other such malware that could infect our pc.

I used to hate KYCs before and as much as possible I was trying to get rid of casinos that require it. But when I played in reputable casino sites, I came across the realization that KYC is important for our security. I would prefer a casino site that requires KYC but would provide me an assurance of safety and security regardless of the bonuses that they offer. As long as we're playing on licensed and trusted casino sites, complying with the KYC isn't risky.

I prefer more privacy over no privacy so for me I would not mind playing in a casino without bonus as long as privacy is the primary concern. If I had no problem with privacy and I could not care much about my personal data available to the casino then surely I would choose to play in a casino with KYC and which gives you bonuses and cashback. It all depends on your priorities, there are casinos that fulfill both of your options,I play on different casinos all of which are with KYC and bonuses, weekly bonuses but as I said if given the option of trusted reputable casino without KYC I would play over there without a doubt, unfortunately such casinos, reputable and trustworthy do not exist yet,all trustworthy ones are with KYC which is normal.

When compared to KYC and non-KYC, the most dominant choice for non-KYC due to privacy factors, gamblers are concerned about KYC feeling that personal data submitted to casino platforms is simply because they want bonus offers or other bonuses offered to convince users to verify KYC, even though the casino is licensed but how to ensure that the KYC pool of all users is not abused in the future?

But regardless of any assumption that the determination of KYC and Non-KYC casinos relies on research from gambling platforms, and I think the non-KYC casino for anonymous accounts doesn't feel any ties to its history as an active gambler.

Personally I would always choose casino that doesn't require any KYC that has no any bonuses, cashback, and other rewards. The reason is simple. I do not want to give any personal documents to anyone online which I do not know personally.
Despite of this, I know that it is rare nowadays for a casino to not ask for KYC since most of them now are regulated. Commonly, they will ask only for KYC once you deposited/withdrawn quite large amount of funds to/from your account.

 ofcourse
Have we all not being monitored by Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and all sorts of applications in our devices already ? Have we not being monitored through our banks and all the other government stated IDs that one uses everytime. Even if I win in a casino I would still need to get that money in my wallet which needs KYC, which is connected to my bank, which means it's all somehow going to come back and bite me if I do anything wrong. Therefore for me personally I don't mind if I need KYC but I would rather not do it since where I live, gambling is legal but where I am from it's not so it would be quite weird to use vpn while having all the KYC done and when you have the option to play in casinos like blackjack.fun, why not ? They don't need a KYC or any sort and can be used with a VPN as well. It's all  relative  might be different for someone else.

Nowadays I believe that most of the casinos require KYC. However, not all of them will ask for it because they are regulated by government. They most commonly ask only once you deposited withdrawn large amount of funds to  from your account.

I would prefer a NON KYC casino even though the bonuses and other benefits may be less in that casino. I can give my KYC data to the casino if i know that they will keep this data secure. Usually, we don't get this guarantee from the casino.
Once you give your personal details, you are at high risk as they can misuse that data and in worse cases can sell your data. You never know what is going on at their end and we should avoid KYC, especially on new casinos.

No KYC and without bonuses.

Simple, because most of the casinos who offer these they using a promotion offer. I don't like promotion offer because they have waggering amount, and the casino using a stupid waggering amount like 40-50x. So they design these to make a user 90% losing, what you need to focus on gambling is your main source winning amount:
- Deposit
- Win
- Cashout fast

All of these to avoid a psychology gambling and you facing a lose situation from wining side.

I always try to find no-kyc casinos. I don't think kyc is mandatory for getting deposit bonus. When a site pays a bonus, it applies to all cases kyc and non-kyc. If you can deposit in any way. But if no-kyc or decentralized gambling site does not provide any kind of bonus. Yet I will choose that. I am not interested to pass kyc

Exactly through kyc, our identity can be sold out such as email and even phone number, this has been the major reason why most gamblers prefer a non-KYC platform. But that is by the way another player.do not mind about they identity will prefer to go for the bonuses since it will allow them the chance to make more winning from their bonus balance.

Incredible. I rarely see people willing to sell their identity for a promise of safety.

No KYC and without bonuses.

+1. That's the only way to go in my opinion. Bonuses are not much of a price to pay for anonymity. People who think otherwise don't know the value of their private data.
I'd of course choose to sacrifice almost anything. All bonuses, referrals, everything. I'd even prefer higher fees with anonymity than lower without it. It's the same with exchanges and everything else for me.

I would choose casino that gives customers a choice to go with or without kyc verification, and bonuses are not very important to me.
Most signup bonuses have special rules and conditions and you will need to roll over your money x amount of times if you want to withdraw it.
If I win a lot of money gambling I would prefer to withdraw it without kyc, but I would accept to send them if they ask me to verify.

Granting a bonus or not really shouldn't affect the KYC process. There are also other ways that a casino can request a KYC from a player. If a player wins more than that much money, a casino will also come up with a KYC of course. But we see more and more that there are players who try to use multiple bonuses for a site, so the KYC for bonus itself is a logical preventive step.

Most gamblers are now privacy conscious and I'd rather prefer going private than in look for bonuses that are kyc demanding of which i consider a waste of time because this is cryptocurrency we are dealing with in placing bet or stake, why shoulduld they require user's data at first place if not for intruding, as for those that has nothing to loose thennthat should be a better option for them but it does not comforms to the ethics in cryptocurrency about decentralization and privacy.

I recon that for me having a casino without a KYC is on one side beneficial, because I do not like giving my personal information away and it is precisely bitcoin and other cryptos that allow me to have at least a little bit of privacy if I choose to. However, I am also aware that I will playing in a casino that has money from other players that may come for illegal business or tax evasion, which creates an uneven playing field to start with.

Not really obsessed with cashbacks, bonus or anything that looks like we make money from nothing but in reality its just a marketing strategy to just land there, KYC is okay as long as its not too personal because with the adoption we also have to come across all those regulations as well so in future we may have to pass KYC for anything related to cryptos which is regulated by the government.

A casino which can be trusted with big deposit and no issues with the withdrawal and bets then I will go for it.

I have no problem with any of the two, kyc has never and will never be a factor for me when deciding which casino to play on.
I don't mind passing kyc verification if the casino offers all the features that I want or love in a casino, like varieties of games to choose from, user friendly interface, a demo mode to experiment playing without fund, easy deposit and fast payout of withdrawals and most important of all, maintaining a good reputation by having a 24/7 customer service that resolve all issues in a timely manner.
This are some of the things I look out for in an online casino, kyc or no kyc is never a factor for me.

I would prefer a casino site that requires KYC but would provide me an assurance of safety and security regardless of the bonuses that they offer. As long as we're playing on licensed and trusted casino sites, complying with the KYC isn't risky.
That's odd because most casinos advertised in this forum are registered in Curacao or other countries less known for their standards and strict implementation of regulations. I would understand your "licensed" statement if it came from countries who are affected by the GDPR like UK or Malta.

I still think that risk is always there once you handed out your information to a third party. Who knows when their servers or system will be breached by hackers?

We can have both no KYC and big bonuses at some casinos. If I could only pick one, then it's no KYC.

^I prefer this.
I am not a fan of bonuses, cashback, or extra rewards because they will be given probably at once and after that, you will never receive any from the casino.
So I prefer non-KYC casinos, we should always care about our privacy and should not reveal it publicly. There are so many gambling casinos that are already trusted especially here in the forum, sometimes it does not matter to me whether KYC or non-KYC casino, as long as it is trusted by most communities, I will go for it.

I would rather play on a non-kyc site because i dont really care with those bonuses in the first place due to those almost impossible kind of requirement which means that im not really that interested.

There's no need to choose in between considering that there are platforms whom doesnt ask out some KYC but still offering bonuses and extra rewards or perks which is really something that you could
see as of todays market.

In general, bonuses and perks arent really something revolutionary for you to be minding off, if you do know the real deal then you will find out sooner or later.

I prefer the second option without a doubt, while the option of receiving bonuses is very attractive and many people will probably prefer it I would choose the second option without even flinching due to the fact that this market is supposed to work like that, governments and their regulations have reduced our levels of privacy everywhere, including this market, so it would be great if we could go back to how gambling worked at the first stages of this market in which casinos did not care at all about asking for your personal information regardless of how much money you won or lost with them.

Realistically, the first option.

No casinos will not get sus when players win big and try to withdraw. Look at Roobet ;)

Perhaps you should be more careful with KYC. It seems to me that your easy-going attitude towards giving strangers your government documents is going to come back to bite you on your behind one day. How this is going to look for you, I cannot say. But if you are entrusting every single online gambling casino that you come across without as much as a single thought to actually researching the reputation and trustworthiness of the casino and the owners then you are just putting yourself at the mercy of scammers and identity thievery.

You should be more careful.

I mostly prefer KYC'ed casinos, even if you don't add the benefits and bonuses that they have. I'm not particularly against it since KYC does help in ensuring that you get a generally good experience with the casino. Ofc checking the casino and it's rep out beforehand is something I'd always do.

The idea of my identity getting out is always a thing, but that's the case as well for other stuff I've KYC'ed on. I just tend to be careful whenever something pops out that seems like it knows me but I have no recollection of doing it.

I still remember someone's post saying that if you follow KYC just to get a new registrant bonus from a gambling site or exchange, it means you are selling your personal data on that gambling site or exchange. so I chose option number 2 (playing in a casino that does not require KYC but provides new sign-up bonuses and cashback).

Exactly my point. By doing KYC, a person is required to hand over bits and pieces of their personal identity to a "trusted party". While this can be a good thing for fraud prevention purposes, it is potentially a very bad thing for privacy. After all, what if you have no idea who that person is, or what their motivations are? How do you know whether you should trust them?
Moreover, if you trust strangers to watch over your digital self, what happens when they get hacked or if they leaked all your personal documents online? What if they just leave a cached copy of your government ID's in a badly configured server?

You can't control whether these things will happen, but you can control whether you hand over your personal information to them. We should be actively opting out, not opt in, to any intrusive personal data collection by various third parties. After all, there is no way to guarantee that the third party won't misuse your information, but at least you can reduce the likelihood of that happening.

It's not directly say any KYC you sent will always got sold, but it's just a possible reason if they can do anything with your KYC. Do you have any idea what they will do with your KYC besides they collect and make sure you're human? If they collect and record it, they can use it and you can't do anything since you have sent it.

But does such a possibility exist in reality? I don't think so, because I am not aware of it and because of what the previous comments say.

In my case in general I also prefer non-KYC, although you would have to weigh the amount of money in bonuses and promotions and if the company is serious.

I think the discussion does not have much future, because apart from being hypothetical, I think in a few years cryptocurrency casinos will require KYC to register, before betting the first satoshi.

I'm not talking about a centralized casino site with just a "promise" that the service will be without KYC "forever". I'm talking about a site like DirectBet. A site that's built directly on top of the Bitcoin blockchain. You don't register an account, you just need your Bitcoin wallet, make a bet, send your Bitcoin, and if you won the site will send your Bitcoin back to you + amount won.

I will choose to play in a casino without KYC, the reason why we are in crypto is because we want to enjoy that kind of privacy or freedom, but look what is happening now, regulators are slowly regulation crypto casinos to be like a fiat casinos.

A welcome bonus can be an advantage in an online casino with KYC, at the same time, many prefer to be in the shadows and not depend on passing the verification procedure, so even the absence of bonuses in a casino without KYC can be an advantage. However, the absence of mandatory KYC may not be safe for the casino itself from the actions of scammers, and this also needs to be borne in mind.

I still prefer to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, with or without the welcome bonuses, cashback and other extra rewards because playing in a casino without KYC can make me anonymous and do not have to bother with verification. Besides that, I do not want to give my identity to other third parties for just playing gambling. So far, I can play anonymous on a casino without KYC so that gives me an easiness to just register using email and password.

Even though bonuses and cashback are great rewards for most gamblers i'd still prefer playing in a casino that doesn't require KYC since i've played with casinos that barely offered any bonuses back then. I wouldn't mind settling for less as long as i'm able to play the same games and the house edge isn't too high. It'd be a bit different if it's on a sportsbook since there are sportsbooks that offer a better experience(markets, streams, promotions, etc) but unfortunately they're requiring KYC.

I think I'd prefer the latter. Given the fact that whatever amount you deposit to your casino wallet, however high a casino offers for its welcome bonus, or however high its cashback percentage is, the point is that all these amounts will still 99.9% end up in the hands of the casino. In the long run, you're gonna lose. But the fact that your personal information is already in the hands of the casino or in the third party that handles its KYC, it means it stays there forever, sold, shared, could be leaked, and so on.

Actually, if any of the gambling casino that has a KYC requirements are much more safer compared to a casino that has no Kyc where it is prone to loss your winning price in the gambling casino. I don't know if you get what I'm talking about, therefore I would rather for a casino with KYC, and I know most of the crypto gamblers will be much in favor with this idea here in this field of business.

Just to clarify, You would rather choose to provide your identification or do the KYC process depending on the security of the online casino and also that has much lesser chance of losing on the platform, am I correct?

There are already various gambling website that offers security and trust to it's clients and gamblers that only requires to do the KYC process depending on your account status or if there is a suspicious activity on the account. Also, if there's a chance that you'll lose your winning price, then probably the gambling site is already a scam.

This will always matter on how reputable they, reputation is much important since if they off bonuses without KYC requirements but their reputation is bit off due to some running accusation on them then I will go to a casino which have KYC without any extra rewards.

Extra rewards is just a bonus and the more important thing there is we enjoy what we play without worrying about things that might put us in harm situation since there are so many scam casino exist everywhere.

I prefer no KYC  with the exception of users that are questionable, reputation is what counts, but it's hard for a casino to do non-KYC if they are licensed and want to be compliant, they also need KYC for users who they think are violating their rules.
KYC now protects both players and casinos, but we are in a Cryptocurrency environment where players want to protect their sensitive information.

Casinos also don't want to lose when they give bonuses or some kind of cashback promo without getting anything. KYC is required as a condition and many people out there agree to join. The bottom line is the reputation of the casino, but most users choose to switch from one casino to another if they really don't like KYC or remain anonymous and ignore various bonus offers.

I don't care about bonuses much since I always can't avail bonuses since what I noticed most on bonuses is you have to deposit an amount that I don't want to deposit. So, I would gamble on a casino that doesn't need you to complete KYC to stay anonymous. I sometimes play on casino with KYC but they only required KYC if you withdraw huge amount or when they think your account activity is suspicious to them. Prefer to gamble with no KYC is my first choice.

Since the no kyc casinos can also turn into a kyc casino, so in effect, we've got no option but just to embrace that situation that they might ask for a kyc.

Whether I care for bonuses or not, it'll still up to the experience that I'll have for that particular casino. So, it's actually situational and everyone has a point on whether while they'll be ok with kyc and why not.

For me, KYCing isn't an issue but the platform where I'm submitting my documents should be legitimate.  That's why I first see how long this platform has been around and what are the reviews of people for that platform. Since KYC verification is necessary everywhere, so I will not try to avoid it but yes I will definitely make sure that I do not give all my confidential data into the hands of scammers.

Regarding bonuses and promotions; I would like to say that where there is a requirement for KYC, it is not for me.

So casinos with KYC. If it's trustworthy.

This is a very intriguing discussion. On one hand, it makes sense to preserve your identity because that's the whole point of gambling with crypto. If you are to gamble providing your ID then there are 10x better fiat casinos and sportsbooks where you can submit your ID and get insane welcome bonuses. At the same time, I understand how easy it is to abuse giveaways if KYC isn't required, especially in crypto casinos where users can withdraw and it's impossible to track them down.

Personally, I'm hesitant to submit my documents online and unless I trust the website 100%, I wouldn't submit my ID.

Then there are people who don't overthink and would hand over their ID without any issues. In fact, there are document sellers online who would sell their personal data, ID, and documents for a small amount. One must remember, that there might be repercussions beyond your imagination and its better to be safe than sorry. You are eventually going to lose the money back the casino owner anyways.

Well this depends on what kind of bonuses, cashbacks and other extra reward that I could get from those casino. One thing is some of the casino I'm currently playing is asking for KYC so what's the difference with choosing the casino that do give extra rewards. But if where absolutely one casino that I can play and don't have any experience on other casinos, I would probably settle and not risk my identity on casino that doesn't ask for KYC. I can regularly play without thinking for the risk of my identity.

Without KYC of course. The last place where i want to send my docs is casino in internet without proper license. Even more, i would consider kyc casino with bonuses very suspicious. Maybe they want to gather personal data as much as they can and later to sell it.

Bonuses (especially that most of them not worthy of that) is not enough to force me KYC.

Ease of use, familiarity and personal preference are the main motivators for people I think.   Also KYC depends where you are in the world, some places it would be a hassle others no problem at all.   Most places do a bonus based off usage anyway so I dont see it has to be a total all or nothing scenario.

That's right! In most casinos bonuses are so small that even if you happen to earn a few bucks it's not worth even trying to get them. Like in some places it's some free rolls or spins, in others it's a welcome or return bonus of like $5 or something. Some others have a deposit bonus... Maybe someone who is really poor would sell his identity for $10 but not me.

If both the choices are with a good reputation I will prefer playing in casinos without KYC, as a gambler, we don't want our sensitive information exposed that is why Cryptocurrency casinos are popular and beating the fiat-based casinos because they are not asking KYC, but we can hardly find casinos with no KYC they always make an exception because of their compliancy and this is also a way to check if one player is cheating the casino.

There are a lot of casinos now switching from non-KYC to implementing KYC casinos. There are a lot of gambling casinos here that switch to a KYC casino.
I think KYC doe not matter to me, as long as the reputation is good I will go for it. I don't usually look at the bonuses and cashback, the reputation is very important because there are some casinos that have a problem when it comes to withdrawal. However, all these scenarios depend on the situation, you can analyze first the casino, and read the ToS and FaQ before putting your money.

Not that much but i've known some which it is totally non-kyc and then suddenly turns out on asking out for some slight personal details which i dont see for it to be an issue if you arent really that a heavy gambler.

Some of them are already fiat based casinos/platforms and just integrated crypto which it is normal that they would really be having that standard KYC manner but still opt out on removing for crypto users.

You could really expect such changes considering that these businesses are centralized which means that they are regulated which do abide on government laws.Sooner or later
we would really be having those kind of changes which we should somewhat anticipate or expect to happen in near future.

well I would rather play in a casino where I wasn't asked to do KYC, if we look at this whole KYC issue in the following way: the customer delivers documents on an anonymous site, with anonymous owners and that also doesn't know where the documents will be kept, so we can clearly see that the client is in a very unfair and uncomfortable position. That's why I think governments should review this KYC issue. I have no problem doing KYC, I just think this whole thing is unfair

I always prefer to play on KYC Casino, because it has a license, and this mean that there is an higher safety for the users.

just look what licenses are issued in which country

Might be better if we will have a poll? So that we can gauge it more.

Personally, and maybe I'm an old school gambler, but I would like to play on a non-KYC casino. At least though they should have been an established one in the gambling industry.

And just like the rest, It doesn't matter if there is a welcome bonus or cash back, don't want to send my personal info just to play on online casinos. Would rather remain private while playing.

From a quick review of this thread, it seems to me that most members are in your camp. The majority would choose a non-KYC casino regardless of the welcome bonus or other benefits.

I agree with that too. Even though I may love some of the popular casinos here, I think it's just in bad taste to push people into a KYC /AML hell when they simply want to enjoy the thrill of the slot. As i said before, I think 90% of the users here just want to play the games and I think the casino should respect that. I understand the risk, but I'm not willing to give up my right to choose to gamble on a website where I can have fun and don't have to deal with pointless security questions and identification.

People are shifting to Cryptocurrency because of the anonymity it provided and much more in casinos, gamblers do not want to get exposed so they are making a shift, that is why Cryptocurrency casinos are beating fiat-based casinos so obviously my choice is no KYC casino, there's always an exception to the rules of non KYC like checking one user who they suspected of abusers and checking the legality of one's player, these two are acceptable, other than that like a registering on the casino that asked a KYC is a big no.

That’s really a hard decision for gamblers to choose the right casino for them.
Let me tell you that for me I don’t really like deposit bonuses and cashbacks. The reason for this is that they put limits and restrictions while announcing these bonuses which is really hard to complete.
I also don’t like giving KYC to the casinos and Crypto’s sole purpose was to remain anonymous.
So if I had to really choose a casino, then I might gonna choose a casino with No KYC and with No deposit bonuses or cashbacks.

Sometimes msot of the casino does not have bonuses to their KYC verified users it is just the safety and security of the users if they have trouble with their transactions at the same time forgot of the password or the account itself, and of course, most of us are dealing with the information security because this is confidential that's why we chose this than the KYC, for me i preferred non-KYC because my information is more valuable than the small amount of money, i just comply with KYC if barely needed that might cause too much trouble to me.

If there are a casino that is legit and proven to be safe to play that not asking for KYC then I will consider this even if they are not offering bonuses and freebies.
But if like some casino that i played on whos suddenly asks for KYC nowadays? then I will continue supporting this and may still play as safe and trusted by me all these years.
That's why we  must always consider KYC everytime because no one can assure us of not will ask in the future .

It will be so good if we get No KYC gambling casinos but with all the bonuses and promotions. Unfortunately such ideal things does not happen in real life.

With all the regulations being enforced by every country on crypto, its hard for the casino's to run without the KYC. Governments wants to control the money laundering and they fear that if casino's are not monitored for the KYC, they will be used in terriosts acts or moving money to criminals etc.

Welcome bonuses are characterized by the fact that very high conditions must be met in order to be able to withdraw them. To tell you the truth, I have never been able to withdraw a welcome bonus. For me, this is not something that makes me happy to do KYC verification. I would surely prefer anonymous cryptocurrency casinos without bonuses more than casinos with bonuses that require KYC verifications.

I don't mind the cashbacks or bonuses, I only play on the reputable gambling websites that we have now. Usually the websites that offer huge bonuses and they promise that you don't need KYC are often a scam. They won't let you withdraw your winnings and just suspend your account without any reason. For completing the KYC verification, I will only do it on the reputable websites. I'll read some review first about their experience doing KYC then I will do mine if the process is not that complicated. I don't think there is a casino now that exist with huge bonuses and doesn't require any KYC.

I should have explained it more when I started the topic, but to get more context I'm thinking about a casino that's built directly on top of Bitcoin or the Lightning Network, like DirectBet. No accounts, no registrations, just Bitcoin transactions. Plus to help preserve censorship-resistance, let's pretend the UI of the hypothetical casino was running on the TOR Network.

Hard doesn't mean impossible, you can check Freebitco.in where this casino doesn't have any complicated rules on their TOS and of course no KYC. The reason why many casinos have mandatory KYC is they're have a license, but the truth is weak gambling license doesn't make anything difference, it will only make the gamblers feel the casino is more serious. In the end all the trustworthiness is depend on the casino, not the license.

I agree, that not all casinos that have no KYC requirements don't mean that they aren't safe to gamble with and our winnings can be in vain in case we would want to withdraw that. Both KYC and non-KYC have their own pros and cons but we don't have to discuss it for now as it's not what the OP asked in this discussion. I on the other hand, also wanted to play at such casinos that don't require some KYC as we'd like some more privacy.

as much as I would love to gamble without KYC, I also love and enjoy first deposit/welcome bonuses, cashback, etc... as a casual gambler with limited funds promotions, events, etc... is a great thing to have to further enjoy gambling on a gambling site. as for the KYC part, most crypto casino doesn't really ask you for KYC right of the bat and would only ask you for it in a certain situation.

In the midst of increasingly aggressive casino competition, of course the government wants to be involved in incoming financial activities so that it enforces KYC rules when casinos apply for licenses so that they can operate more widely. But as is the case nowadays crypto casinos are increasingly being imposed by policy. So some gamblers avoid KYC as much as possible when they don't like it. But there is a waiver that casinos often provide, namely compliance with KYC only when needed for purposes such as large transactions or avoiding fraudulent actions. As a result, the government tries to provide an option that the licensed casinos will agree to.

I have no idea why anyone in their right mind would prefer playing at crypto casinos that require KYC over crypto casinos that don't require KYC when they offer similar benefits. It makes zero sense.

Most gamblers including me shifted from FIAT casinos to crypto casinos primarily due to anonymous gambling. KYC basically nullifies that.

That's what I am saying in my reply before that there are some casinos that won't require KYC when creating an account and only require KYC when you are suspicious and when withdrawing huge amount of funds. That's the kind of casino I gambled and to avoid KYC, I only gamble a small amount of money. I am glad that some casinos are like that compared to other casinos which you have to complete KYC right away when creating an account.

There are several reasons why we don't trust any platform to do KYC. It's a bit of a dilemma when we like a platform and want to play on that platform but need KYC. Although there are actually several levels of KYC, some only require some general data without uploading personal documents, some are very strict with uploading personal identity documents. This is actually quite crucial considering how important self-identity is. And sadly, many good platforms implement KYC

We can try to find other casinos that don't require KYC; luckily, we are in a cryptocurrency that provides facilities to people who want to play gambling without needing KYC. But still, if we can win a lot of money, we can be asked to charge KYC by the casino. As a user, we can choose a casino that does not ask for KYC and we already have many casinos that can give us convenience in playing gambling. So maybe we can choose a casino or two with a good reputation and also don't need KYC.

Yeah, unless and until there are only centralized casino's, we cannot ignore the KYC factor as in most cases it is mandatory. Those casinos which allow you to play without KYC, they also ask for the KYC when you try to withdraw large amounts, so practically its all KYC.

Maybe one day, someone will come up with an idea of a decentralized casino, and then we can have a true experience of non kyc casinos. Until then, we have to complete the rules and regulations of the current casinos.

Yeah, so most of the time it's hard to reach that condition specially for us ordinary gamblers. In paper it really looks like and it could attract a lot of gamblers but we all know that there are a lot of catch behind it so it's better not to chase those and just play along. But for KYC, I agree with that majority, we prefer being anonymous, and we want to protect our online identify as much as possible.

Oh well, everyone has it's own idea of playing, maybe you can go on the argument that in a real based casino's, you also have the option to submit your info like for getting their card for perks or something or simply earning points while playing.

But for online, personally, I prefer not submitting any KYC even on a trusted site. And I guess those trusted sites gain their reputation for having a non-KYC platform.

If you would ask me this question , I would like to choose  Non KYC casino. Because the other option you gave here that bonuses and  offers aren't easy to withdraw they added some terms for withdrawal , And just to meet them, your bonus will go away with the capital you got.  And sometimes if you have good luck, you can get it if you win in gambling.  But in most cases they offer these bonuses to attract people .And people invest in greed but can't withdraw because they can't complete the terms.  For this I support non-kyc casino for choosing even though there is no offer, as it protects your personal information.

You hear the term KYC more and more these days. I don't think it is always a conscious choice of gambling sites to perform a KYC. Sometimes you have to deal with the law and regulations of a certain gambling license and in that case you are also obliged to carry out those checks on the players. But that is not always the case. If you're looking for a casino that doesn't do KYC, you'll have to look at gambling sites that operate without a license or with a license that isn't listed. License of Curacao or Malta is almost always found to KYC.

on my end, it is not about the requirement of kyc that matters most to me. it depends on the reputation itself in the community. are there no existing allegations towards the casino? no unresolved withdrawal complaints or any issues? yes, most casinos that don't require kyc are those without any gambling license. so just ask yourself, do you think you can trust your funds to this type of casino? because sometimes it is better to play on a licensed casino with active thread in the forum because for sure people will help you when you encounter any prob. and also, some of these licensed casinos won't ask KYC if you're just a small roller or don't break any of their ToS.
i guess, at the end of the day, the important thing is if you are confident that the casino won't screw your funds, whether small or big amount.

I’m slowly getting OK withe the KYC thing since until now, I’m still safe from any hackers and scammers so I think its ok for me to play with those casinos who are asking for a KYC, though of course it must be a good casinos before I try playing and giving out my personal information. Many still prefer a KYC free casinos, and many are still with this and of course promotions are part of the casinos already so with KYC or none at all, I believe promotions will still be there.

Even myself wont really be seeing any problems with KYC since im not really hiding something but what matter me the most is to those informations to be leaked out on the internet on which you cant really be sure

on where those informations would really be floating around which is really something a very risky thing for you as a user and this is where most people do really care off or really mind off.

You cant really be sure if the platform would be trusted with those information or not but if you are a person who dont really care out about these probabilities then you wouldnt really
be that much affected.

Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?

Player lists with all information given is stolen from all books because the information is valuable. Most of the time it's stolen and sold to other gambling sites. It makes it easy on them to target potential customers and saves on costs of mass marketing to the general public. If you give credit card information and passport, drivers license or social security number, then there's a definite risk of your information being used for fraud. Casinos in Costa Rica are the safest to keep your information private. After that it would be Curacao.

Still KYC is requirement at the end of the day so there no casino will not require kyc because there are certain instances that you still provide those on none kyc compliant casino. So I guess its better to settle up on trusted casino which require KYC than trying our luck in untrusted casino which doesn't pressure us to submit our own KYC details.
Staying in a trusted casino that requires KYC is an option that can be taken by gamblers and if they are okay staying there, it will not be a problem for them. But most of the gamblers don't want to do KYC for their accounts because they don't use much money to gamble and most of them just have fun in their spare time. But if KYC ends up also being applied to small gamblers, they won't be able to do anything about it and will be forced to comply, especially if they still want to play at that casino site.

For that I say that each person has a different view on KYC. I am not someone who easily does KYC on a gambling site, I will do research first and also see how long the gambling site has been running

getting a bonus from a gambling site even though it requires KYC is something that many gamblers understand, but if it's a new gambling site and also has a bad history, that's should be avoided

Regarding KYC or not, I have seen that until now it has become an eternal debate because everyone has a different view of KYC

I personally have never had a problem with KYC as long as I did it on a trusted gambling site but not all gambling sites that require KYC can be trusted, still doing it on a gambling site that has a good reputation is something that must be done
you are not supposed to have problem in KYC before you done your kyc verification can I see your location is very very important so it is who you that don't know their father without refuse to do kyc verification because who have not heard the issue of verification before or we have not tried to withdraw from our casino platform and it request kyc

The answer is very obvious, I would pick a casino that does not require a KYC, that's the reason why we are in the crypto space so we can live with full privacy, but it seemed like regulators are starting to require casinos for a KYC requirement. Actually, it's not a problem because the market is big, we have plenty of casinos that will give us full privacy and will never ask for KYC, but we should also be aware of the risk as anytime they could leave and we can't go after them.

That's right, we have to be more than careful! I personally don’t like KYC and avoid it whenever I can! Fortunately, there are many casinos that don't have a mandatory KYC, which is in the spirit of crypto I think, freedom of choice, and the right to privacy!
The drama surrounding KYC in crypto casinos has been going on for some time, and several crypto casinos have already introduced mandatory KYC! I don't play there anymore, I opted for casinos where it's not mandatory! No fewer bonuses and promotions than in casinos where KYC is a must!

Maybe OP is asking about KYC from registration in which we knew that there are many of them who does not seek for any verification when we are level one or newly created account.

what you are talking is when the play happened and when the winning comes then this will change the situation and people will be asked for their KYC .

In fact we rarely see the 2nd option, most casinos offer bonuses, cashback, rewards regardless their KYC policy. So basically we are just like imagining for something that may not exist in this gambling industry. It is better if the option is to choose between KYC and non KYC only without any other additional option because KYC is more about privacy. Most gamblers who care about their privacy wont change their mind to play in KYC casino just because of bonuses.

And the majority of the gamblers here in the crypto space will also choose with no KYC, and some will in favor with Kyc. But I wonder why they have Kyc at some casino platforms since the players  is just playing only in the games they have.

There is no problem if you play at a trusted casino because they continue to try to maintain their reputation and will even provide attractive bonuses for you and other members. The bonuses are given so members can feel at home playing there and for KYC, maybe they will ask you to do it, especially if you cross the limits they set beforehand. During this time, we are often asked to do KYC if the withdrawal of money that we make exceeds the limit from the casino. And as long as it's a trusted casino, that's no problem.

For me I don't mind doing a kyc and of course I like it when they have bonuses because to be honest this is also one of the reason why I will wager on a casino. If ever there are no bonuses being offered I think I can easily quit playing a gambling, which is also a good thing I guess? Because there will be no more stress and no more losses for me.

For someone that are allergic with kyc, they will surely go for a non kyc gambling site and they can take it even if there's no bonuses whatsoever being offered. What is interesting is that a no kyc gambling site can still attract players even without bonuses and any other perks but a kyc casino cant possibly do that.

Well, as long as the casino is trusted and safe, I think many people will be happy, especially with the large bonuses given, choosing a trusted KYC casino is not a big problem because some casinos will certainly be trusted for a long time.
Because of that choice you will certainly be happy with KYC, but some still don't want it, this is different but I've also done KYC several times in casinos although now it's not a problem, but I think with no KYC it's much simpler than KYC.

Bonuses are really eye catching and encouraging for players to try a website and play in it. This is because of course, who wouldn't want some bonus that comes along with just playing in a site. This bonuses are given free hence, would they even think twice of playing if there's little to no consequences at all, right. However if KYC will be the topic, the answer would most likely to be divided. Because some people do not really like it, while some people are just fine with it.

I guess, this just boils down on personal preference. We have different taste and we have our reasons why we choose something. For those in favor with KYC, perhaps they are just not bothered with their identity being known by the platform or site. Maybe they aren't really paranoid about privacy and confidentiality. Meanwhile, for those aren't really fond of KYC, maybe they are very much particular about their personal information. Anonymity is important to them and they prefer to just have a good time playing without having a record gambling and the likes. And maybe they just don't like the hassle of undergoing such.

We do have an option regarding this and we shouldn't be limited by other people's opinion. We do us. After all, we have free will.

Well, I for one wanted a casino with no KYC but considering the casino's we have these days. It's somehow hard to find reputable and trusted casino who don't ask for KYC, you know the government keeps on hammering and having a KYC prevents money laundering and other suspected activities that could connect to their casinos. KYC or non-KYC, I'm good with that as long as it's trusted and reputable.

Not only talking about money laundering but also with taxation itself on which they cant just missed on getting benefits out of these platforms and money laundering concern is just a second in line.Fact?

We dont really care most of the time as long we've been comfortable on dealing or hanging out on a particular site or you do know that you are in safe side but dont expect about 100% for those informations
not to leak out since it could be possibly asked out by the government or can really be leaked which are all the probabilities.

Speaking with bonuses and cashbacks in exchange of anonymity then i would prefer that full anonymity because we know on whats the requirement of those bonuses before you
would be finding it to be interesting.

you often hear that casinos are becoming more active because they want to prevent money from being laundered. Since the money comes from Crypto, I've never understood what that has to do with money laundering. If someone deposits $100,000 into an account and they place a bet and win it, they can cash out. then there is no money laundering aspect, is there? Someone who has bad will or wants to convert his bitcoins into money will not do so through a casino. Or he would like to have it paid out in cash. but crypto deposits and withdrawals should not require kyc.

When  the kyc was compulsory for the players playing in casino then,it leads to the reduction in the players. This is because of the players mindset towards casino. When the casino was operated outside the environment. Most of the players will not engaged in this kyc.Other people will try to get some cash back at least for their benefit of the deposit to the game of casino.

Cashback will be considered to be the one of the best option used by the casino to get the investors.Because most people like the extra money or free money for their investment or deposits. The reason was played huge role and they won’t worry about the kyc while considering this cash back.Only few people look to avoid of the kyc connect with their casino.Mostly they won’t avoid of the kyc for the casino. They like to have some funds.

There are basically two reasons why casinos ask for KYC verification, the first one is that if they have a license then they have to comply with the requirements set by the law to maintain that license, which means forcing some of their customers to go through KYC, the second reason is that many hackers and scammers took advantage of casinos and used them as impromptu mixers by depositing dirty coins and then withdrawing clean coins from the casino, so casinos got tired of that and if you use a lot of money when you gamble then you could be hit with a KYC request to avoid something like that.

AML is definitely a reason for KYC which is why I think a one time rollover is acceptable. No KYC and one time rollover is best.

Why do people keep saying that a license helps security of the players? An inside job is where most of the player information is stolen and then sold. Name one time a governing body ruled in favor of a player. I'm sure there are a few but I can't remember any.

that's right, a License will be very important for casinos. it will give confidence to the players. Regarding the bonuses given, I think every casino has its way of making players stay longer at the casino to play. that's what many casinos give to their members. convenience and bonuses that can be obtained. some casinos always update their events every big moment. and they always provide events that involve casino users being happier. Casinos don't want to lose their members, so they offer how members can play as long as possible at the casino.

When a person has been playing in a casino for a long time and has not passed any KYC, then the sudden requirement to reveal his identity will, of course, be extremely unpleasant for him. And by the way, quite a lot of people will leave this casino and start playing in another, where kyc is not required.
Therefore, by introducing kyc, the casino always runs the risk of losing some of its customers. But the player can understand. Many will prefer anonymity when gambling. There are quite a few reasons for this.

And by the way, I do not think that the casino is used as a mixer for laundering dirty cryptocurrencies on a massive and large scale. Of course, individual cases are possible, but large sums cannot be laundered in this way.

Wrong. To identify unique user you don't need any KYC. It will be fine with unique cryptographic token, like ubikey or something similar. Yep, a person can obtain a lot of such keys. But again, person can obtain a lot of docs for KYC purposes. The same problem/

Money laundering is not about converting bitcoin or other crypto to fiat. It's more about exchanging bitcoin/crypto gained illegaly (tainted) with clean coins for which the source can be traced and proved (source of funds).
Imposing a wagering requirement on deposits before being able to withdraw them can reduce such activity but won't solve the problem completely. For example, someone who has $100k worth of bitcoin won't mind completing the wagering requirement and risking to lose x% of that money as long as he will get clean coins. This is one of the reasons why most casinos have this kyc policy.

It will definitely depend on how much Bitcoin/altcoin deposits you're sending TO the casino, and how much you're withdrawing OUT of the casino. For plebs like us, it won't be a problem, we have small deposits/withdrawals. But for those people who deposit $1,000,000 of Bitcoin? I believe the casino's financial security department will start watching the account, and follow its movement more closely.

The bonuses are given so members can feel at home playing there and for KYC, maybe they will ask you to do it, especially if you cross the limits they set beforehand. During this time, we are often asked to do KYC if the withdrawal of money that we make exceeds the limit from the casino. And as long as it's a trusted casino, that's no problem.
well that's what I already mentioned, that I only comply and play in casinos that I fully trust and this is what I do long time now.
there are occasions that I was asked to provide KYC and yes i gave them and my funds was released easily .
sometime it is the system that tell them to seek for KYC and I don't see any problem having that as long as I trust the casinos.

It is not bad for someone to ask and know something. I have asked this question before in another thread and I want to ask it here again since I could not get respond from it there. What is the meaning of KYC in the casino gambling platform?

And to your (OP) question, gambling is Personal choice. So if I am given the opportunity or choice to play casino games regularly, frankly speaking I play it base on the policies of the choice. If the person pays for me I will play because at that time I am not using my personal money to play so I will play regularly but whereby I am to use my personal poket money to play a casino games regularly, I do not think it is possible for me although it might be possible for others but as for CAPITAL NO. That means you are indirectly telling me to sleep the casino hall. Or play it everyday which very bad because gambling is not career or a profession that one can engage everyday. And another thing that can make me to play is regular winning. If I must play regularly then I must win regularly as well. And gamble is always a gamble there is no way one can win Everyday. So where will you have the money to play the game regularly?

but of course those sites are more trustworthy than new sites.
But KYC requiring or not? who cares as long as it has been proven to be legit and paying so lets play on it.

Some of the players don't want to risk their identity just for a small amount of withdrawal of course if you are just a high class person you don't want to leak your information in just a small value. At the same time some of the old gambling platform needs to adopt in the latest security and protocol given to them that's why they need to make an updates regarding with the KYC and now it will depends on them if they will follow those new rules and regulations or they will try to stick with the old fashion way.

Gambling website KYC is really a subjective matter. To some, they are okay with KYC but with reservations and under several conditions just like you are. While some people do not really like it and are totally against the idea of it even if a big time casino is involved. This is mainly because some people still prefer to be anonymous and doesn't want any transaction regarding gambling to reflect on their transaction processes.

Getting the trust of clients of the newly founded casinos will be a tedious task because of course, they still don't have the name and reputation to uphold. Hence, it will be better for these sites to go non-KYC first and then perhaps later transition with requesting KYC once they have made their brand name popular and their website widely played.

This is true, Currently KYC on gambling site that uses cryptocurrency is not mandatory since the regulation about this is still on gray area ...

It's not about cryptocurrencies being unregulated or in a gray area. KYC verification is required at all casinos that want to get a license. Without customer verification, no casino would get a license. Verification is not required only in casinos that do not have a license.

First of all i need a good casino. It can be with or without KYC, it doesn`t matter, but it must protect my private data and my money. If the casino can guarantee it - i`d like to choose a casino with KYC and bonuses. I always say that it looks strange to be afraid of KYC, when you give your data to different services every day.

If they have a bad intention before they open up their business then yes that will likely happen to our kyc and worst is they will close the site together with our funds. It would be safe for all of us to not commit a kyc on a new site before or after we signup (e.g by the time we are now doing a withdrawal) as kyc is more important than any amount because your own identity is at risk there.

We should avoid depositing bigger amounts so that we won't end on a sticky situation like that. For an old casino they can also turn bad but the chance for that to happen is small. If you feel that they are still legit then go ahead and do a kyc if it's really needed.

Well, you made the right choices because it's indeed risky to pass the KYC procedures especially for new sites. In fact, our personal details and other information are still not guaranteed safe even in the most trusted casinos but the risk is somehow minimize because these reputable casinos are betting their name and license on the line so we can somehow say that it's much safer as they are also investing to make our details secured.

currently, I only do KYC on 2 exchanges (local exchange and binance) but none of the gambling sites I am willing to KYC on. non KYC casino is perfect for me.

If it is for the exchange, I think we should follow the rules of the exchange because the government controls the exchange. But if it is a casino, we have the option of gambling on a non-KYC casino site and since we are in crypto and have many non-KYC gambling sites, we can choose several casinos to gamble on.

Crypto gamblers will choose non-KYC casinos but some crypto gamblers belong to the whale who won't mind if somehow the casino requires KYC. Related to the bonus, that will depend on what the gamblers wants.

In that thread, you said airdrop so I guess for airdrop, I'm also not going to KYC just for small money because it's not worth it.

I regret seeing a trend in the world of cryptocurrencies that is gradually increasing - it is an increasing problem to remain anonymous.  But initially anonymity was the most important quality of cryptocurrencies.
And following this trend, now even after a small airdrop, some authors of this airdrop are starting to require KYC.  For many, this becomes an unexpected and unpleasant event.
And by the way, the authors of the airdrop can even reduce their costs because some of the airdrop participants will refuse to undergo KYC.  I think that some cunning airdrop authors even save money on purpose even in cases where you can safely do without KYC.

After the popularity of crypto increased rapidly since 2017 or halving in 2016, it seems the government wants to know more about crypto and earn from crypto by implementing taxes for crypto users. Therefore, the government is trying to implement a policy of asking KYC on the exchange to find out who the exchange members are. The government also wants to get more income from gambling because they see the huge earning potential. And it seems that projects in crypto also want to get data from their investors so they also implement KYC for investors. Where this makes crypto investors less like it and for that, we need to be careful if we want to join airdrop programs that require KYC.

This has been a very clear tendency for some time, governments were interested in knowing the identities of the people investing behind all of those projects and getting those airdrops, and instead of resisting many developers decided to accept it as they also wanted to have that information for their own use so they could keep promoting their coins to those people, they also decided to use that information to try to avoid people abusing their bounties or simply because they wanted to steal that information and sell it, which is why many people have now decided to stay away from altcoins for good.

I believe Macaw.casino is one of the first gambling services that will have a sign up-less feature, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5405538.0

The casino requires the user to make an account for now, but if their schedule for new features are on time, it will be removed and the casino will run everything on top of the Lightning Network. THIS is the ACTUAL point when I opened this topic.

Our questions will be answered when sign up-less feature, and no-KYC are implemented.

I believe, trusted old sites don't gather your personal identifiable information. They use third-party services for KYC, and not just any services, but trusted and reliable ones. There you are checked by robots, not by humans. All your data is encrypted, so even if a leakage happens, you are not in any danger.

But, of course, all this applies to you if you are a regular person, not some big money launderer. There are many thousands of blacklisted people, and what the robots are doing is they are checking whether or not you are in the list. If someone feels he/she can be in the list, then KYC can be a problem for them. For other people it's not.

So, answering the OP's question, I would rather register in a casino with KYC and added benefits than in a no-KYC-no-bonuses one.

I don`t think that this is about casino. I agree that the government wants to get taxes from everything related with cryptocurrencies, but in this situation the easiest way is to get taxes from casino.
Nowadays we give our private data to the huge quantity of organizations but we are afraid of KYC. Why? We hear about stolen data every month at least and it doesn`t change anything in our life.

Today, it looks normal to just pass on with a KYC from the casino where we're playing. But years ago, that was not really a thing and not acceptable for most users since we'll just defend about crypto = decentralization and there's no need for any KYC.
But nowadays, it's not a problem anymore and we do understand that the governments are the one that's requiring this to them and them, they're just passing it on customers.

If there's no other place that you could run then you would really be ending up on complying on whats been asked by these casinos. If they do require KYC then you have to comply on it before you can play but basing
up with the current market today then theres only a few who do imply kyc and the rest are still on that similar situation where you could just simply play without providing those details or simply still that anonymous.
I dont care about bonuses or cashbacks because we do know that they do really set out unrealistic kind of requirements for some gamblers to be successfully able to make profits with  those bonuses.
If  you are lucky enough then good but in most cases, people do lose all of their money before they could able to reach out such threshold or requirement.

I'm very sorry, but I don't like to acknowledge, and help promote a casino/service that mainly uses a forked-shitcoin that claims for itself as the "real Bitcoin", when in truth it's nothing more than a social engineering attack vs. Bitcoin and what it stands for. I started the topic with the context of the possibility of Bitcoin casinos being built on top of the Lightning Network, and what our fellow posters thoughts are about it.

Many untrusted casinos site asking kyc it is true But why would you use an unreliable casino site where there are many trusted sites available on Bitcointalk  and another platform also. If we do not use unreliable sites.  Then there is no question of kyc here. and if we use trusted site then there are no problem for us to pass kyc.

I don’t think the idea is new. I remember I played on casinos like this long time ago but I can’t remember their names. The one I remember very well is directbet.eu. It was all automated and you didn’t have to create an account or anything. You just send the coins to the address and pick your bet and if you win they were depositing back the money you deposited plus your winnings to your original address. They went out of business sadly.

Or would you like to play regularly in a casino, WITHOUT KYC, BUT also without the welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards?
This question is very tempting and it is hard to select between the two options. It depends on what the gambler is looking for whether they are interested in bonuses or just want to gamble on a regular basis. Gambling is mainly for profit and bonus too can help gamblers get what they want  easily without stress. As a gambler that is more interested in my security of my identity, in respective of the bonus I will prefer non KYC casino to KYC casinos with bonuses.

KYC casino , this is safe and always friendly ,because if you are not hiding anything then there is nothing that will hinder you from laying with KYC complying.

Nope not all because there are few untrusted casino requires KYC and its dangerous for us to comply on KYC requirements they ask because we might experience a serious problem we didn't encounter before, that's why I prefer legitimate big casinos when it comes on this discussion and always stick with them because we can be safe from any further exploits to happen. But eventhough we trust them we still need to be careful on other risk since for sure there will be an issue will float on casino we play and we need to prepare on that.
I think that trusted casino must be the first requirement when you start gambling, all bonuses and KYC costs nothing if the scam is possible. And if the casino trusted i don`t see any problems with KYC. The only moment i want to see in any trusted casino with KYC - the gambler must complete KYC before start gambling but not when he decides to withdraw money.

Well perhaps the same on Roobet.
I was there from the first launching on their website and join the signature campaign, they did not require KYC before but after they gained forum users' trust they changed -- and they required users to have KYC and pass documents proof. I think their strategy was right, from no KYC to becoming a KYC casino but first build your trust and reputation first before people trust your company.
Perhaps there is no wrong with KYC if we trust the gambling casino and already built their reputation --but on the new one, never.

It doesn't some sort of strategy, but they're asking level 1 KYC because of the regulation or license that force them to did that. I believe genuine and trusted site wouldn't want to do that since they're aware asking KYC to all customers would make some percentage of their customers will stop using their casino and move to not-strict casino.

If they're don't follow their regulation/license their casino might in trouble, take a look with Binance how they ask their all customers after SEC comes and cooperate with them.

And how you will understand that casino is trusted or scammer ? In the beginning it is difficult to understand whether a casino will be a scammer or not. And now many scammers casinos sell people's data by making KYC requirement.  So I think it is better to avoid the casinos that require kyc in the beginning.  And in the world of cryptocurrency, I think it is better not to have kyc requirement.

Regulation and license are now the main enemy of the anonymity in crypto world. We cant avoid it, now 90% or even more crypto casinos are licensed and most license has a term related to KYC. Sooner or later, KYC will be something mandatory in all online services where money is involved including exchanges. So if you do not want to share your personal documents to online services, better to avoid all online services where money is involved. Avoiding casinos that requires KYC in the beginning is fine but any casino with no KYC in the beginning may ask your document later.

PS. I get phone calls with different spam every day. I think that most of us have the same situation. And i tried to give my data only to trusted companies - banks, headhunters, post. So i think that nothing can defend your privacy nowadays and i don`t care about it - i can`t change it.

Yes, we can not avoid it.
The way countries around the world are trying hard to regulate crypto we can understand that in the coming years, we will be forced to complete our KYC verification to use crypto-related services.

Avoiding casinos that requires KYC in the beginning is fine but any casino with no KYC in the beginning may ask your document later.
True, I have seen many cases when the user tries to withdraw his winnings, he is asked to complete KYC for some reason.

I beg to disagree with your reasons about KYC casino, yes KYC is somehow acceptable especially if we are talking with those casinos that are reputable and trusted but even these casinos cannot guarantee our informations to be safe and it's not about that we hide something that we don't want them to know. You know, our personal informations could leak if those casinos will be hacked along the way.

Hhmm that's an interesting reply, thanks for that. Now I know the real purpose of kyc, and that is, like you said they check if we are among those who are blacklisted but if that is the only thing that they want on why we are required to do a kyc then there is no need for them to keep our kyc data's on their site but they can just delete it right after finding out the results.

I heard they will just store our kyc on a safe place and even if that was encrypted, a good hacker can still access it. People that submit a fake kyc has nothing to worry about. Yes a fake kyc can be possible because you said a kyc process are done by a robot and not by a human.

When do we say a few, how many that could be? We've seen those complaints from different casinos that they've been asked for a KYC when they're about to withdraw because they've been found on their accounts with some suspicious activities and that's what they're asked to do for them to be allowed for the withdrawal. If they will just do it once there for the release of their money, I think after going to another casino, that won't be a big matter to them anymore if asked again.

It just infuriates me that someone I don’t know there, who has nothing to do with me, demands that I introduce myself, and even send him a photo of documents.   :(
Therefore, I do not think that those who once passed KYC in a certain casino will continue to send their documents to everyone without any problems.  And do not forget that any KYC always wastes our time, and this can be a long time if we also have to wait for confirmation.
Rubbish all the same, this KYC is an idiotic procedure invented by the American authorities.

Yes, that's correct. Many gamblers are eventually asked to do KYC by the casino but those gamblers don't want to do it for various reasons. Maybe for small gamblers, that reason is acceptable because they really don't use big money. But if it's the big gamblers who win more money, maybe the casino wants to know who they really are so the casino asks them to KYC. Moreover, if they carry out suspicious activity, the casino will be more strict in monitoring it and may ask for a complete KYC.

Not at all but for some suspicious accounts only, if you're not that of a huge gambler that deposits, withdraw or even got those huge wins that I think wouldn't arise on the casino. Sometimes they don't, other casinos tend to be harsh like freezing it and we've seen that countless times in the past, but yes they begins it by the usual strict monitoring but others tend not to.

What I meant to say is that you've done it once and if ever the new casino where you're playing recently asks you, you'll also comply especially if you've got your funds left. It's true that no one will have it to them being sent if there's no problem but, the actual problem can happen again that they'll ask for random verification and we can't do anything with that. You're right that majority of us don't really like it and we do comply just to take our money and then leave them forever.

Yes, that's correct. Many gamblers are eventually asked to do KYC by the casino but those gamblers don't want to do it for various reasons. They've got their own purpose and no one can skip that, small or big time gamblers, we're all bound to do that if the casino feels that we have to be asked and that's what we don't like because we don't know when it's coming.

To avoid casino suspicion, we better not use too big money, maybe under $50 is enough to have fun at gambling. But don't use $50 for one play because it will cause us to deposit money again if we want to play later. Also, if we win, the casino will probably watch us more closely, which can later trigger unwanted KYC.

They've got their own purpose and no one can skip that, small or big time gamblers, we're all bound to do that if the casino feels that we have to be asked and that's what we don't like because we don't know when it's coming.
As long as we don't cross the limits set by the casino, it looks like our account will be safe and there is no need to do KYC unless the casino applies it randomly to all its member accounts. That will keep all member accounts from being watched by the casino. If that's the case, we can only wait but also look for other casinos that will not apply KYC or impose restrictions on their members.

I just want to say a word in defense of Roobet here. :) I'm sure it wasn't like, "Let's make them register and then ask for KYC later". The site itself doesn't need your personal data, and they would never ask for it themselves. But if at some point the authorities force them to gather KYC data from their users, being a licensed casino they simply have no choice.

This is probably true, they implemented the KYC requirement due to regulatory obligations. However, that still doesn't justify the way they did it. Roobet actively promoted itself as an anonymous casino, it was even highlighted in their ANN on this forum. And suddenly, out of the blue, they decided to force KYC requirements on all their customers. That was, in my opinion, wrong and immoral.

I think you are wrong. No proof of any documents is required for lvl.1 at least (possibly) up to a certain amount of withdrawal. I prefer the way Roobet collects KYC (more precisely Australian regulatory policy). Basically (if it did) the authorities would only ask for collective data for all customers such as a list.

Same here, even if a gambling site has good bonuses but if it will require me to submit the documents for KYC, then that is not a good site for me. We are in the crypto world, so we should know what we are looking here, we like full privacy and that does should only mean no KYC.

Actually most of the trusted crypto casino doesn’t required KYC upfront during registration so you can eliminate it already as first criteria on choosing one but most of them ask it after you register and made deposit when you commit violation to there terms. Maybe you should look on that part.

Bonus is what makes crypto casino unique to each other since as I already explained above. Most of them didn’t require KYC as being crypto casino.

when you first register or create an account, you don't need KYC to make a deposit and start betting. but mostly need KYC when the account gets a big win. and will make a withdrawal.
including suspicious behavior in VPN use and IP address switching. it may require KYC for account recovery so it can be used for games again. I encountered this problem too when changing devices to open the casino and make withdrawals. KYC asked the casino for a security pretext.

I believe that if online casinos are planning efforts for KYC apart from deposit, withdrawal and bonus offers requirements, another attempt is to enforce requirements for VPN users and restrict access to some casino features if not completing KYC. However, online casino accounts have to verify KYC, ultimately many users are very disappointed because casinos have lowered the anonymity factor of users who don't want KYC.

In my opinion it's the other way around: It's fine to know that they want KYC from you from the start, than to find it while you're with your money frozen.

^ How about those casinos that did not require KYC at the beginning but a few months later they will announce that they implement KYC procedure?
All centralized platforms expect that there is KYC and we have nothing to do with that matter, all we have to do is read the ToS and find a review that they are legitimate. Because whether we like it or not, the time will come for all online gambling platforms will implement this KYC since they are all decentralized and there is nothing we can do.

It is the typical case at most times. The casino won't be asking it if you've got no strange activity into your account, you can take a guess what does mean to them.
But usually, it's about the amount that you deposit to them and if it's all of a sudden and it's big, they'll sort of flag that, and if you're about to withdraw, they'll ask you to KYC if you've just used them as a mixer.
If you're gambling for good and you're doing nothing like that, you're clean as you may go and can enjoy.

The discussion here is certainly controversial. because Indeed Most casinos did not require KYC but offered bonuses anyway.I will gamble where there is no KYC because I don't come to play in this casino for offers or bonuses.Although now many gambling casinos without KYC have a large number of players joining the casino they don't care about any bonuses.

Generally KYC is meant for withdrawals. As long as without KYC I can continue to play, I'll spend the money on a few bets. At least I still have some spare money in the casino for entertainment for the next few weeks.
It's not that I won't change my decision by giving up KYC somehow, especially if I win a lot ;D. I have said previously that it's "as much as possible", not a must.

I will gamble where there is no KYC because I don't come to play in this casino for offers or bonuses. Although now many gambling casinos without KYC have a large number of players joining the casino they don't care about any bonuses.
Bonuses are set aside for me when I found a good gambling site that requires no KYC. And I'll prefer to gamble with that casino than a casino that required  many KYC, ill prefer to be Anonymous in the world of gambling so I decided to play in no KYC casino and I think another gambler will want to play in that casino not because There's no hassle in  withdrawal but to remain anonymous as well.

I also have the same view. I would prefer a casino site that will not ask me to comply with their KYC rather than providing bonuses and promotions but will ask me too many personal details. A site that won't ask KYC but will provide good services is already a bonus for me. Anonymity in gambling matters to me.

Not really worth i would say on which you would need to verify yourself for you to get those bonuses? Why not free? Bonuses and promotions shouldnt really be having those kind of terms unless if you are fiat
casino then for sure this would really be standard for a crypto based gambling site then i dont really see on why it would really be that needed.

I'd rather like not to recieve any bonuses or promotions as long i could able to play anonymously without minding or bothering myself that i have sent out some documents or information about my identity
on a particular website.
Also, bonuses are just good for test out and if we do just know the terms and conditions then you would surely say that it isnt really that worth.

Casinos which accept fiat payments can't operate without a licence and they are usually heavily regulated and enforcing kyc to their users is a must (especially for big amounts of money) in order to comply with regulations.
For crypto casinos the situation is a bit different since regulations aren't that strict (depending on the licensing authority). They can accept players without asking them to verify their identity but in case they have many promotions and free bonuses they have no choice but to enforce kyc to prevent abuse and cheating.

Many gamblers are not participating on any bonuses, they really focus on the games and the security of the site. I will also choose the same way but I’m ok with KYC now. I’ve been giving out my personal details and so far I’m safe from any hard simply because I have no money at all online and I do have my secured wallet where I use under a different platform. Well, with gambling its better to have fun privately and maybe this is why KYC is still an issue here.

^ Sometimes I am thinking like this, I am trying not to be afraid of KYC, sometimes I accept a gambling casino that only requires a phone number and email address but if more than that requiring a valid ID or making a video with your ID and the company name which is I am trying to avoid.
It is no fun at all if we have been exposed over the internet so privacy should remain private.
However, each of us has a different approach to KYC, so we respect each other decision of what they like.

because if you are a high roller, more then likely you will be subjected to kyc especially if the casino has gambling license. i believe, most high rollers should expect to undergo the kyc requirements. but for most small rollers, a lot of reputable and with gaming license casinos are offering services without the need to submit your kyc details. check their limits when it comes to submission of kyc, some casinos will only require kyc once your total deposits/withdrawals is $2k or €2k.

Many experienced gamblers are not mostly interested in gambling in KYC casinos because the stress it might cause later when the customer want to withdraw their fund. Many KYC casinos these days are using bonuses to lure gamblers because they know that we are in a decentralized world where everyone wants to hide there identity from the public or not to fall vulnerable to hackers or scammers who may use it against the owners.

Lately, it has become a difficult task to find a kyc-free casino, this is because most casinos' license requires that the casino demand KYC verification from players at some point, and this is why some casinos request KYC when a player wants to withdraw a large amount. But there are still some decentralized casinos that do not require KYC no matter the amount of winning.

That's what has happened to some customers at casinos, especially those that don't have a reputation, because they easily ask us anything and we have to obey their wishes. Any large amount of money in our account will be under their control and maybe they will ask us to do KYC. So if you really want to enjoy the gambling atmosphere, you should also be careful about using money to gamble because you are under the supervision of the casino. It's better to use enough money and not exceed the limits set by the casino so that we don't get into trouble, especially if we don't want to do KYC.

More precisely, the casino has the right to ask for anything including KYC because it has been their supervision all this time and indeed if there is a large amount of funds in our account then it will be immediately suspected because they will conduct strict checks on where the source of the funds is or from a legitimate win or no casino always check with big fund account.
And it's true use as much money as possible that will enjoy your casino, preferably under $ 1000 I think it's quite safe and will not be spied on by the casino.

The welcome bonuses, cashbacks and other extra rewards are all marketing tactics which in the end amount to nothing but peanuts. And even IF you gather all those tiny rewards for years and years, the amount of money you will lose thanks to you being in a gambling atmosphere longer, will heavily outweigh those bonuses and rewards. There is no such thing as a free lunch and people should not be naive enough to believe the opposite.

So obviously I am all for no kyc casinos, that goes without saying. However the downside is that a no kyc casino might be hard to legally persue, should they rugpull and escape with your funds.

KYC casino , this is safe and always friendly ,because if you are not hiding anything then there is nothing that will hinder you from laying with KYC complying.
The I got nothing to hide kind of argument is something that we hear constantly from those that argue that those that do not want to go through know your customer policies are trying to hide something, but I disagree, we all have a right to privacy so asking for the personal information from someone that is just making a few bets here and there when he feels like it is simply wrong, we need to fight for our right to privacy because if we don't then at some point were not going to have any kind of choice at all and you will be obligated to pass those policies before you do anything.

So under any circumstances we must be prepared for KYC requests from online casinos, because casinos can request KYC apart from your explanation above regarding holding high balances in casino accounts, their system can easily track the highest balance of each account, so the casino will contact personally or block/limit withdrawals before completing KYC verification.

I think no one doubts that cryptocurrency casinos should be anonymous, so the vast majority will definitely choose a casino without KYC verification.
Casinos that have a license must require KYC, playing in anonymous casinos, i.e. without a license, is associated with a greater risk. It just depends on how someone trust the casino.

So true. As service providers, they are in charge of all the regulations they make but also need to listen to their members' suggestions and input to develop their place to be even better. The casino reserves the right to supervise any of its members who are suspected of carrying out suspicious activities that could violate their rules. Maybe it's better to spend under $500 to avoid over-crowding from the casino and not to gamble every day because that could set the alarm on them. But beforehand, also prepare yourself if the casino asks you to do KYC at any time because they can ask for it.

I played before in a gambling casino does not allow a KYC and after i win a jackpot with their deposit bonuses and free spins they didn't process their withdrawal and i tried to contract the support because i cant make a process of it and by that they require a KYC to me that's why i make a chat with the support first before making a play with their deposits to make sure that it didn't waste my time to do a KYC again just to withdraw all of my winnings.
