Can we expect any rewards , for participating in them in Q4 2023?

What are the project you wanna test and how do you tends to trust any newly launch project without knowing their true intentions towards their testing service especially altcoin projects.
Whatever you are doing with any altcoin can be seen as gambling because anything could likely happened at the cost of doing the test run.

Talking about trust,  that should be far away from your features for analyzing a potential coin,  we are already at a level where most of the new projects are all aimed and targeted at the hypes like the meme coins development and the rest of what have you,  it clear that in holding on to any of them you have to make up your mind to accept whatever risks that are associated with them and also being able to make up for what I call gambler mindset while holding such coins.

Most of project who have a testing-phase is always respond you, there is no reward/airdrop. It's their policy, even they have a reward/airdrop is always being secret they want the user testing by them self without expect like that.

Most of the time, the user it self who are speculation have some potential airdrop for the project.

It depends. What are the requirements?
Testing it doesn't mean you will be paid instantly. I bet they will need some proof that you really did it because there will be people who will cheat and in the crypto world there are lots of them.
Also, don't expect too much. It's not like this is the era where airdrops are worth it anymore. Most of them are either dust or developers just playing around and in the end, they will just take the money and run with it.
It sounds pessimistic but it's the reality when it comes to bounties and I think this kind of test runs are just like them. Finally, be careful with what you will join in especially if they are requiring you to fill up information to prove your legitimacy. There are chances they will use your info for different bad purposes.

Honestly with the past results of some testnets, users were discourage to do some of these task due to low rewards. Example of these are sei which has a very low value due to massive participants and a very few alloted budget for the testnet. Also the sui which chosen to do a random whitelisting which ignored the testnet users full activity and opted to do a small group of people reward by random lottery. Well some also low class projects giving a false hope and only non valued nfts.

Regarding retrodrops and airdrops I still see some issues:
1. Most of them are not announced in advance and users should proceed with activities only based on rumors and you can't be 100% sure that something wouldn't go wrong. Many airdrop hunters expected a retrodrop from SUI and it ended being a waste of effort once it went public.
2.You need to pay the transaction fee with your own money at the time of activities. And if it is some kind of ETH L2, then these fees can be high, although you cannot be sure that you will not fail on some criteria or the retrodrop will take place at all.

Due to projects that gave rewards to their users who participated on their testnets using their tokens, it simply became a trend and now we've saw projects that are doing it more than ever. Bunch of projects copied it but don't really indicate that they will have an airdrop for users who participated. So it's easy to say to don't expect rewards from them. Though the airdrop rewards nowadays aren't that high anymore compared to the past once and people who tried where demotivated because they experience losses because of mainly the transaction fee spent.

Most projects will never pay anything to their testers. They pay out only every 20 projects, or less often. When you do testnets, be prepared that you will just waste your time and it will not be rewarded in any way. This is a feature of this industry, so don't expect every testnet to be rewarding. New testnets appear every day, and only 10-15 projects get good rewards per year.

Sure, those testers that have done it on a project that became successful later on managed to get some airdrops and rewards from that.

But you can't just hope that all of them are going to be the same. Having a timeframe for these projects is hard to expect to. If you're just for the testing, I think it's a good opportunity because you can add it on your portfolio as seems to be like a QA or project tester.

Indeed, so many projects have been created but the majority of them are worthless. Therefore, I would tell you OP not to expect any rewards from them if ever you participated in their airdrops or bounties as you will just get disappointed. Well, I don't stop you from doing that but as I've said, never expect to much from them either.

Unfortunately most projects are doomed to fail. They look good at first next thing you know they stop making updates. When is the last time we've seen a long term project?

for me I assume that what you are saying doesn't have any root right now because their is no much explanation concerning what your are saying, because nobody understands you base on the kind of project you are emphasise on, in the aspect  of participating in project what really matters is that you have to know that before you venture in any project you have to understand the project before any other like making a requirement of the project.

if what you meant is the retroactive feel free to test the blockchain out but there's no guarantee that you will get anything while all the qualifications aren't even disclosed yet.
after all sometime they might have some ridiculous and abstract qualifications to get whitelisted or receiving an airdrop from them.
even though you have spent massive amounts of money for gas, you'd still more likely to waste it than to earn something afterward.
however if if its testing their test blockchain don't expect too much, few months has passed and none of the project that encourage testing their testnet blockchain give any meaningful rewards.

what project are you referring to? if the project is holding a testnet only without any airdrop allocation it is better to avoid because it is just a waste of time, but if there is an allocation for airdrop there is nothing wrong with trying while it is free, because I am also one of the people who always follow several testnets.

there are actually quite many long term project has been released these time around, the ones with partnership of reputable venture capital that invests million dollars.
project like optimism, sui, arbitrum, and many more are definitely long term l2 project that exists for the sake of solving problem.
its not some random project trying to do the same thing and just trying to grow market capitalization they are solving urgent problem here that is the gas fee of ethereum.
and honestly, there are many other project out there that just as good its just some new altcoins are indeed doomed to fail from the start if they are just fundamentally bad.

When participating in an Airdrop, you shouldn't set too high expectations for a project because there have been many projects that promised but didn't deliver Airdrops to users, a recent example being the SUI project. You can participate in multiple projects at the same time with the mindset that you may not receive anything from the project.

I don't generalize that all of them are just a waste of time but just like the opinion of other members and as an investor, I'm not sure if they are quite fulfilling to try either. Are you referring to a startup project, an existing project on an exchange, or any other type of cryptocurrency test?

If actually you acknowledge that the testing jobs are not always easy and are sometimes complicated for newbies and you also encourage that one should have it more than one. Maybe have to join many testing groups in order to earn more rewards. This simply means that the person will have to take it as a full time job because it will even be more complicated one you are handling such a task with more than 5 projects.
This is actually what gives opportunities for hack because you will need to create many wallets and connect them to different places you may not actually successfully trace when problem arises.
Before anyone will go into such a job, they should verify if it is still worth it at this stage of cryptocurrency evolution.

You should have named those projects where you can test their platform as many members are not aware of this project all I know is if you are testing their testnet you are guaranteed to receive rewards for testing it, I tested a testnet platform all I did was connect my wallet and claim the rewards I did claim the rewards which is their token but unfortunately the project did not take off.
Some of my friends used to do testnet but majority of these projects turned out to be shitcoins, not all platforms that you can test have good potential and some of them ask for KYC, which makes these projects dubious.

I do not expect any profits from them. Too many altcoins already. For example, lovecoin token project - yes, you can receive the airdrop - 100.000 tokens, which value is ~0.0005 USD or even less.

I think you are talking about the testnets. If so, I am the right person to tell about that. You can try out the following testnets for the rewards.

Eg:
1. Zetachain
2. Namada
3. Subspace Network
4. Venom
5. Quai network

You just need to test the dapps and give the feedbacks.

If you join into the project team, you can join as an ambassador or developer. What you can do is fill the application form of the project to appoint as an ambassador. If you want join as a developer, you have to send the CV to the project team. Normally projects are paying stables or project tokens for the ambassadors. you will get good amount of money.

I do not think that you are going to make much money from just helping with testing. You could end up with something that would be worthless tokens, it would definitely raise a lot of questions if you could get tokens because if they do actually believe that their project is that good, they should be distributing some real money, could be btc or eth type of crypto or could be stablecoins as well.

I do not even participate in bounties or airdrops of most projects because I believe that they are going to be worthless and doesn't really worth my time spending on it as well. That should be the most important thing regarding this situation, your time. If you believe that your time doesn't worth anything then you should not be focusing on anything else on this regard neither. That is the most important part.

Most of testnet users not recommending to provide their personal data for KYCs

I have seen a lot of projects with testnet being promoted on social media and I have a lot of friends who are very active doing testnet, these testnet platforms have their own referral program, the only requirement that I don't like about platforms doing testnet is their requirement which requires you to do full KYC, and sometimes not all who did those testnet are qualified to receive a share of the token, it works like a lottery.

Some of these testnets are doing this to steal people's information by asking for KYC, there are many risks involved in doing testnet so be sure you are working testnet on legit projects.

I'm happier when the airdrop gives big prizes to users but doesn't enter the Telegram group information because if anyone finds out there will be a global attack on the airdrop hunter community. now many new projects with advertising rewards community allocation but the results are enough. and but on average the current ecosystem with less than perfect blockchains just follows another trend. different from projects under the auspices of the ethereum erc20 network

Depends on their terms and conditions, some site will offer you a bug hunt reward and some will offer you an airdrop in exchange of some work just to help the site in terms of their promotion. If you are into rewards then don’t wait for next year, start doing some task for the new projects so you can qualify for the reward and who knows, they might give a highest airdrop again and you’re lucky if you are able to participate.

Honestly speaking, the projects which are in testing phase, are generally in the middle of the development. At that stage, the user base and community growth is less. Also due to testing phase, most of the time enough funds are not available to projects to work or develop as per the expectations. In such situations, projects rewards the testers with their own tokens or coins. The price of those then purely depends on the testing, development and user base. So the chances or probability of getting handsome rewards is less.

I'm wondering what project you mean. Do you mean a new crypto project? If yes, then don't expect too much from that. Because, not all new crypto projects will be that successful. Even though they promise everything that is very promising and competent, it is not certain that they will really be able to survive and ultimately be able to consistently be at the top of the project. Because after all, usually if they become a hype project, they will have something called a down phase. So if they can't control it and can't manage it well, then the project will collapse again.

I do not think they are talking about a specific project and instead they are eager to participate in all kind of bounties as they think they will be able to obtain higher profits than on the past, however I am not so sure where his confidence comes from, as even if the halving is getting closer, at the same time the number of projects released should increase as well, so even if the number of projects becoming successful went up, the odds of picking one and participate in their airdrop should remain roughly the same due to the increase on the coins going live.

I don't think the reward for testing is worth waiting for/hoping for, it will make us feel hurt if we have done the task given and even took the time to do the test and the results are zero. If you want to do it, just do it and play the lottery. If you're lucky, you'll get a jackpot from the testnet you follow.

We can't expect too much from new projects. But I have also participated in testnets for several layer 1 altcoins which actually pay test participants. But unfortunately not everyone is lucky because there are always those who don't get a reward even though they have done all the testing tasks. So I think it depends more on luck. So it is also important for us to know or find out who the dev behind the project is so that we can have higher hopes if the dev behind the project already has a good reputation in crypto. Partners are also important to know on a project.

I can see investing on a new projects is in your eyes but am not against investing your money on a new projects but before you invest ensure you do some research to know how strong the teams behind that project they are and how many people are in that particular project before investing your money to test the project.

If you have not tested old projects before, I will advise you to test the old projects to see what is making people to prefer old projects than the new project because people have achieved many reward from the old projects but the new projects, they don't know what it will bring out in the future.

Several new projects with the network they are developing are currently quite busy. it involves several people in the community. Usually, those who are looking for new projects like that are very active on social media where many new projects are also published.

If you did use those applications, I think you have gotten a lot of rewards by now and there are more upcoming. 2024 is going to be the year of airdrop and there are already few hyped project like layer zero, zksync, starknet and few other projects that can do airdrop program for their early users. This airdrops are going to be highly profitable for some users i have seen one guy earned more than millions of dollars by joining an airdrop in solana ecosystem.

There seem to be many new defis that have potential airdrops in the future just for participating. I have tried one called kinza finanace in BSC chain, it gave points on amount of coin you staked or provided liquidity and also through referral activity. The cumulative point would decide the amount of airdrop for each users in the future. The point contest is still running and kinza I believe is also featured in binance. Another similar defi but in Solana blockchain is kamino, they also have points that would determine the coin airdropped. And there are launchpools like tonup where you get new coins for just staking the up coin. Not sure if it's a feature or early promotion.

For me planning of participating in a new project is No for me, risky  my money in new projects that I am not sure of, will be a plan that I will never take. I think investing in new crypto project is even risky than playing gambling . The essence of many new project is just to scam people. I don't believe in new projects,  I believe in coins like Bitcoin that have been existing before now because they are reliable to invest any amount of money , new project cannot be trusted.

Testing new project without knowing about its detail is risky and everyone should avoid it because testing can cause your money to drop. This is a pure gambling that you don't know about coin but trust it just for making money but every newly arising coins are not advantageous.

Some new project are good but try to read the information regarding coins which are mentioned in the whitepaper of that project and also try to investigate about the squad that created the coin. Participating in testnet this days at your own risk. Although since money isn't involved, one can just risk it out if you don't mind wasting your time on it. The problem here is no one know which testnet will pay so you must try to do all that comes. Since the day of SEI and sui, I hardly partake in testnet. This is because it's time consuming and no one knows if they will eventually pay or not.

There are a whole lot of projects in the market, I'm just keen on getting legit ones, one of the reasons I'm slow and thoroughly scouting for these crypto projects. Some people, when they are informed about these airdrops, some relents in their actions and while some take it to the next level, they ensure they do everything activities to clone a spot for good odds of accumulating major rewards in the airdrops. As for me, I've learnt my lesson, no giving until I've grind and grind, making sure I achieved quite important purposes in the system.

Old projects are most trustworthy because they have been around for quite some time and investors know that they are not going anywhere this soon even though tragic things happen sometimes, most of the time, old projects face no issues. If a project proves to be resilient and effective in overcoming challenges then it attracts more investors because a project with problems that are solved is better than a project with no obvious problems it might just be too good to be true

Yes, there were more than 9k wallets involved in that airdrop. This is not possible for a single person so i guess it was a team that farmed that airdrop and made that fortune. That was a risky move because if all of their wallets didn't meet the criteria, they would suffer massive losses by farming those airdrop. I have seen on social media some people in china were farming zksync airdrop and they have a professional setup like an office. I am just thinking about how crazy these people are about aidrop.

There are so many projects that provide tests for their users, usually they give prizes to the testers, but there are also projects that don't provide tokens to the testers.
so observe projects in development and see if they provide rewards to their users.

I've never had the chance to participate in a test project but my friends say it's much better than Airdrop. But it's not completely free. There are some projects that do provide testing for their users. But this also means that it takes effort and capital to run these tests. And not all testing projects provide satisfactory results. Sometimes there are testing projects that end up failing and that will cost you money. Unlike Airdrop, if the project fails you will only lose your time and energy.

There is a lot of history in the crypto world that they will trick you into giving you money like bounty / airdrops. If you keep coming then it is wrong for you because you are only participating in bounty or airdrop but that money is in other people's pocket so they can do anything easily. Yes its quite risky or unknown or sure income but some of these testnet werent the same with sui and sei that given a different approach on their participants. Im still doing some testnet hopign that it could yield some profits or valuable tokens later on but I know the risk of having no rewards at all unless it got specified by the project.

There’s a lot of legit airdrop in crypto space right now. Most of this airdrop requires only to do some task to test and promote the project unlike before that you will just send your wallet address and wait for airdrops that has no value.

Startup project that launch airdrops now have their own VC to initially backed the project initial funding. You can consider the airdrop reward as salary for those who help the project on testing their product on early stage without expecting to be paid. Airdrop is real and much more safer than investing and trading because you only need to complete some task in able to receive this massive rewards.

Already you have finished working from several bounty programs but most of them are absolutely death projects and my seor you still haven't got good money. Mate success is relative to person wise. I am talking about overall projects not specific one, Yer even I missed some 5 fig airdrops but able to get profit from participating testnet projects spending less than $20, Is it count as good fund collection method for participating mainnet projects?

Is the project retroactive? If you are not eligible, there may be several requirements that you do not fulfill. For example, your transaction value on the network is below the threshold, then you are not eligible for the airdrop.

You are right, people should try to avoid trying out new projects, it really doesn't end up with all that good result in the end and makes no sense to me at all. I understand that people will not be really all that smart when it comes to investing into new projects, so the best way to go about that would be avoiding them if they can. If they could do that then they would do a lot better and people need to focus on the stronger ones.

The best way to go right now would be just making sure that you are handling it well enough and that would result with you doing fine. There are so many different projects but not all of them are useful. A lot of new projects appear and it is very important to evaluate the potential of the new projects that appear on the market.

Whatever project you're testing mostly project will give you a reward for your contribution in the testnet, mostly we only need to a small amount to get the reward or only some few fees. Many new projects conduct a testnet with a reward to attract new investors so investors will know how the system works, and why it's unique/different from the others. But we should be careful with fake testnet website which can make our metamask compromised.

I really can't guess what project you are talking about.  But for advice, you have to read their rules and commitments in the testing program.  Make sure they promise decent value for your work.  And don't forget to see the potential the project has.  If there is nothing clear about it, it is better to just not go along with it.  Why you wasting your time for useless things?  Especially if it requires you to spend your dollars to buy their coins with tempting promises.  Stay away from them.  It's better to invest in coins that are already has names.

Actually, there have been a lot of Airdrops and Retrodrops that have generated big profits recently, it's just that we need to analyze projects that really have good potential in the future, never get involved with other people because that will waste your time. That's absolutely correct altcoin and shiltcoin test is totally gambling most in the aspect in which their white paper is not clear enough and the team is not satisfactory, for the altcoin and shiltcoin one should have it in mind that venturing in is 50-50 to be more cautious because is mostly gambling.

Yeah, because airdrop isn’t guaranteed and there are no fixed rewards they will give you, if you’re lucky then you can get big rewards even you will not get nothing, it’s depend on your activities on their platform, now the rules is very hard in airdrops, so that's right we shouldn’t expected big thing in airdrops.

There's been some profitable airdrops lately if you pick the right ones and airdrops can be a great way to snag some free crypto, but remember, there's usually a catch.  Usually, there is a requirement to complete tasks, hold a certain amount of another coin, or participate in a new platform.  Can't just jump in blindly though or you'll waste time chasing hype. Especially with airdrops that need capital - do your homework so you don't get burned.  There are always bad actors looking to take advantage.

Too many of these airdrops have been there and I can say that most of them have been profitable. There are still a lot of projects that are into test nets and they want to have as much people test them and give them rewards. I don't get into it and just watch the market closely.

well honestly when a project is releasing their own blockchain probably layer 2 and is being invested heavily by certain companies and take example binance labs, its almost guaranteed that they definitely gonna have token at some point and there will always be some allocation for community. thats what I see from many projects i've seen some pattern here.
but definitely as you said, never expect to get airdrop as if the team owes us something because well they don't usually thats what happens whenever there's announcement that airdrop will have certain criteria to qualify.
some people are so hard on pushing to make themselves entitled for the reward but in reality its up to dev themselves, they can be making some ridiculous rule to qualify for airdrop and I guess they could get away with it since usually airdrop never disclose criteria from early because otherwise it will get farmed hard by bots and so on.

Did you have any specific project in mind when you were starting this thread or did you just meant generally? Because it’s almost impossible to determine this on a broader scope. You can’t generalize the success rate of all new projects because it all differs depending on the development team. A lot of them are scams so of course you don’t need to worry about getting any benefits as you won’t be getting any at all.

However there are definitely some legit ones if you just find them and thoroughly research about them.

You are right, we all should have a reasonable expectation of rewards for our work in any sector. Sometimes we think of something that can only happens 1 at a 100 times. This can happens but this is not something common and we need to think of the common one so that we won't be disappointed in the future if we don’t get the expected result.

The principle of working on an airdrop is that you shouldn't choose a pick, because we don't know which one will give us big profits just by working a little,
However, currently many airdrops use capital that is not 100% free like before, so we have to be more selective in choosing because we have funds to spend.

Not every project gives rewards, some of them may give you some tokens while some will explicitly mention that it’s a voluntary act to test their product. So unless you ask of a particular project, there’s no way to tell if they’ll be rewards or not.

Maybe you can get rewarded from participating in airdrops because this is one of the ways you can make money in the market.
There are so many mining apps we could join and make money in the market without stress and all we could do is to make sure that we keep participating in bulounty programs, airdrops and mining apps to benefit more. We should not only relent on on these because we need to also invest our capital in the crypto market for us to make money not always relenting airdrops.

Honestly, these airdrops and bounties and all that never felt like it made sense to me, I understand that some people have hypes about it, but I never really see the point of it and that is why I believe that it is not going to be lovely for most people.

Making dimes on your work makes no sense, I write whatever I want to write and whenever I want to write and if there is someone willing to pay money for it then it is great, and if I like the project then that's fine, if neither is true then I am just going to stay without an airdrop. Airdop once gave big rewards to hunters but currently its status is not satisfactory. Not everyone who participates in airdrops can turn out to be profitable. I joined some valid airdrops where I completed all the tasks well but when the airdrop disbursement was done I didn't qualify because of what they told me that I must refer otherwise I won't qualify for the rewards. Although there was no mention of anything like that. What I realized was that the time I spent there was worthless. I don't trust airdrops anymore. There will have good projects. However, I have no idea which project currently rewards hunters well. When the crypto market is bullish, many new projects look like they will play an important role in the market, but when the market is bearish, their condition is so bad that they disappear from the market.

I'm not a very big fan of free mining apps because based on my experience and knowledge, most of them either end up as a failed project or their token would barely have any value when it is launched in the market. So all you do is keep mining on your mobile phone, invite people, increase their user base, and by the end of the day, get a bunch of tokens that are almost useless unless they become a valuable project in the next decade.

Op you just have to note this that it's not worth it test running new projects with your funds when you're not sure of your stance but anyway, you can still risk as you desires but must be on the amount of fund you can always let go of lost.

The airdrops, memecoins, shitcoins and altcoins are flooding the ecosystem everyday. And eve this lovecoin you mentioned just now, this is the first time I am hearing of it and more are still out there to mention. I heard that people are making profit from them but as for me I am not interested in airdrops and projects that I discovered that will not have value in the future. And most of those airdrops are fraudulent developers that launched it to deceive people to scam them. I received a chat this morning that someone has lost her funds because airdrop.

Actually I have been testing most of this newly launch project but for all not to avail, that is why I always see it as a waste of time. More especially this airdrop project, they look very real and promising they have their own way of getting what they want, they can decide to offer 1,000token for completing a task, then after completing the whole task probably it won't work out the Way you expected.

Then you should stop doing testing for any altcoin projects because the risk associated with it is much and I don't really like when most of these projects takes testers for a fool, they sees them as cheap people who doesn't know what they are doing.
