Title: next bitcoin?
Post by: kyc20040202 on October 05, 2023, 02:19:11 PM
I am a high school student. I learned about Bitcoin, but it's too late. I was so young. Because I was 4 years old in 2009. But as history tells us, bitcoin killer will emerge one day. I want to find out such coin, but I don't have enought knowledge and ability to do that.. I want to ask the smart people here. Is there a coin that is similar to Bitcoin now? something that is perfectly decentralized. I want to invest there. If there's a coin you're making, is fine too. Just let me know. I hope this post becomes a legend.

None, there's no any coin can compete Bitcoin in terms of decentralization.

Based on your post, I don't think you're actually looking a decentralized coin because you will not say it's late to know Bitcoin since everyone can buy Bitcoin. But you're looking for  a coin that the price will increase like Bitcoin, well you can gamble in newly listed shitcoin and the chance you will get scammed is pretty high too.

I'm not sure what history you've been participating in, but the history I've been apart of told us a Bitcoin killer never emerged and it defeated 100,000 altcoins singlehandedly.

But as history tells us, bitcoin killer will emerge one day.

That is false, history teaches you what happened in the past, not what will happen in the future. And although you can show me countless inventions that were overthrown by a competitor, this does not guarantee that this will happen in the future with Bitcoin. At the moment what is happening is that Bitcoin is still number 1 not only in terms of market cap, but also in terms of intrinsic characteristics such as the security of its network, decentralization or the limit to its production. All this while shitcoins continue to emerge, we are already in the tens of thousands, with which most will lose the money they invest and which will disappear in a few years.

I'm not sure what history you've been participating in, but the history I've been apart of told us a Bitcoin killer never emerged and it defeated 100,000 altcoins singlehandedly.

Lol.

If you see anyone claiming that he created a better version of Bitcoin and ask you to invest, that's a sure sign that it is scam. Instead, just stick to good old Bitcoin and you will be fine. You probably won't become millionaire by investing few hundreds of dollars, but its still better than keeping all your money in fiat and looking at inflation eating it.

I dont think anybody has that knowledge, they would have to be a time-traveller for that to actually happen.

There is a narrative in the crypto space that certain coin is a bitcoin killer and hence people should buy it. Point is that such things are only gimmick. Bitcoin can be called fiat-killer - but does that even make sense? No, because fiat is working fine anyway. So if someone tells you that this coin is the bitcoin killer, take that with a large amount of salt. You are most likely being duped.

Like I said, smart people invest in bitcoin, not in those coins claimed to be bitcoin killers.

No, there is no such coin that can even compete with Bitcoin and killing it is impossible my friend. The other coins which we call altcoins are surviving only because of Bitcoin and they will survive only if Bitcoin continues its dominance. The whole crypto-market is dependent on Bitcoin but Bitcoin isn't dependent on any other coin. If you really want to have a better future that should be free from financial issues then I recommend you to learn about Bitcoin and Invest in it instead of finding another coin.

There are even some hard-forks of Bitcoin which are exactly similar to Bitcoin and with additional features but none of those are any where close to Bitcoin. Some of the hard-forks of Bitcoin are Bitcoin Cash, and Bitcoin gold, the Bitcoin cash increased the block size from 1 MB to 32 MB in order to reduce fees and increase the number of transactions in a block while Bitcoin gold was more targeted to miners and it allowed miners to use GPU's for mining.

There are so many other crypto-currencies in the market with way more features than Bitcoin but known of those is even comparable to Bitcoin. I must say again that the whole market is basically surviving due to Bitcoin and no-coin can take the crown from Bitcoin. I recommend you to learn about Bitcoin only and follow a DCA strategy to invest in it.

Correction your age is 14 years old not 4 years old? You are not late in learning bitcoin!.

You want to find a coin that exceeds bitcoin? It doesn't exist why are you looking for something else while Bitcoin can be said to be perfect? never be too hopeful to match a coin to exceed bitcoin it can't exist. :P

You should need to learn a lot about bitcoin, not fantasize that there is a coin above bitcoin.  ;D

You want a faster coin? XRP or XLM

You want a more private coin? XMR or DASH.

You want a smart contract platform where you can even create your own coin? ETH or BNB.
.
You want a memecoin? DOGE or SHIB.

But do you want real decentralisation? Buy Bitcoin; nothing else.

I think that it won't be a cryptocurrency of a type we have now. In general, blockhain-based decentralises financial projects are actually enormous fintech testnets. Soon we can see some new mixed fiat-crypto digital networks, which will have benefits of both fiat money (ex: high adoption level) and cryptocoins (for ex: ecentralised data processing system), and their drawbacks will be minimized. So, there most probably won't be a new btc "out of nowhere".

Bitcoin won't have a killer, as it's going to be used to save humanity in a chaotic future. Better to stick to it to the end.

As far as I can, there currently exist no better alternative that has been develop without compromising on the high quality standards or ideals Bitcoin is built on. The standards are necessary framework or foundation for building a very secure and safe decentralized cryptocurrency. Any cryptocurrency that bypass the standards to become advanced is guranteed to crumble when the great storm arrives.

Instead of looking for a Bitcoin, why not starting investing in Bitcoin now?
I don't see any coin in the market right now that can take the place of Bitcoin. Bitcoin has the advantage of being the first, and when something is the first, it's always hard to replace in a situation like this.

So it's not late to invest in Bitcoin. Don't look at the price right now, it's still going to increase even more in the future. Just start your investment .

Yeah; a new bitcoin quietly impossible because no project is %100 decentralised with an owner. Look at ETH and Vitalik; ADA with Charles, so on so on. Unless Satoshi invents BTC 2.0 (maybe that won't even take BTC's place hence if Satoshi comes up, everything will change drastically for Bitcoin imho) i don't see any BTC killer coming up; just like other poster said 100.000s of BTCs killers are in grave right now. BTC will always be the first and most adapted digital currency to exist in the planet. (Seems like that for now).

there are a lot of people who are just starting to learn Bitcoin and also businesses starting to adopt Bitcoin, so, I am really curious what makes you think that you are too late? are you saying that you are too late because you're not an early investor? you know a lot of people here in the forum are not early investors too(including me).

Am not so sure you have learned anything about bitcoin. You sound like someone that have just heard about it. Hearing and learning are two different things.

Can you add a link to that historical saying so some of us can have the honour of reading it too. We all here to learn even though most of the things we learn nowadays are fallacies just like this one about bitcoin killer.

Firstly I would give you a thumbs up for recognizing how smart a people we are here in the forum.

The only perfect decentralized coin smart people like me here knows is bitcoin.

Any other coin that claims to be BTC is just an imposter coin and can't be a match. For a 18 year old am not surprised you're asking these questions but my advise is if it's not bitcoin it just can't be like bitcoin. So be careful where put want to invest your money.

Technology continues to develop very quickly and we will never know what the future holds for Bitcoin, and there will most likely be a much better technology that can beat Bitcoin someday and who knows when.
However, currently and perhaps in the long and unpredictable future, only Bitcoin will be the best investment in terms of decentralization.
And if you are just waiting for an uncertain Bitcoin killer, maybe in your old age even after you die there might be something that can replace Bitcoin. But you are already too late, so why should you think too far into uncertain things because with that kind of thinking you will always be too late to get involved with Bitcoin and learn and understand that Bitcoin is beautiful.

Satoshi did a great job and rounded up with a complete project that requires no centralized body. Then he moved ahead, to prove his work, he's nowhere close to managing bitcoin. Yet his project succeeds more than most top tech companies, with a CEO and board of trustees. Even, coins with a CEO suffer huge losses. They will be no bitcoin killer in form of a coin. Maybe a high tech can appear from the blues. Which surprise can't be a coin project. Because the cryptocurrency revolves around bitcoin. And bitcoin has suffered turf days. The government worked against bitcoin, hackers did too, added with rugpull projects stealing huge amount of bitcoin. To waste on flashy lifestyles. These things drew bitcoin backward and delayed the growth speed of bitcoin. Do you have a glimpse of how such a coin would work. Quantum computer posing as a threat to bitcoin, doesn't seem true or possible. Hence, before investing into such a coin, do your research and be sure not to fall for scam. As you'll be getting silly private messages proposing shitcoins. Their white paper would contain series of lies and deceits. Any other idea, other than Satoshi's will be lower in capability and corporations. The bitcoin network collaborates in a well organized form. I'd advise you to read a little more on bitcoin. There you'll understand what Satoshi did with bitcoin. Programmers from the days of Satoshi, understood how simple building bitcoin was, anybody with some c++ or c can cockle bitcoin. But, Satoshi joined different existing materials to his ideas, where bitcoin got birthed. And no programmer can do anything else better than bitcoin. Like Satoshi is an inventor of a simple idea no one would have thought of. And he delivered the job just right. The code is open for anyone to read and test for issues. Miners, core developers and investors follow one consensus rule that governs the network. The only possibility is creating similar to bitcoin coins, Like Vitalik's project; Ethereum. He moved to smart control and is nowhere to match proof of work. People thought ethereum 2.0 will boost the market and outperform bitcoin. Nothing happens. A high number of attackers and unjust miners have tried 51% attack to smack bitcoin. But to no good news. I can go on and on with a litany of the problems bitcoin is passing through.

You are very young and investing in promising assets like bitcoin in such a young age is very beneficial for financial freedom.
Start investing in bitcoin and accumulate as much as you can while its relevantly cheaper.
As you grow your portfolio, try to diversify your portfolio into other promising assets.

OP from your comment I was wondering if truly you know what you are talking about because you would not be asking such question and trying to find out if there is any comparison with bitcoin out there. To make the point clear mate there is no other coin competing or compared with bitcoin as far as blockchain is concerned. Bitcoin is the first decentralized digital currency that was founded by satoshi nakamoto for that reasons it was termed the Genesis block

As a matter of fact, you are never late to adopt bitcoin. Bitcoin is still at its early adopter stage and as such holds more potentials and price value in time to come.

You can read about the Genesis block here (https://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/genesis-block.asp)

There is no single coin in the market which could compete with BTC, due to many of the reasons. Some are the following:

  • BTC has half of the market cap of the overall crypto industry
  • Every other coin or token is directly or indirectly affected by the price alternation of BTC
  • BTC is king

Well, I don't have simple words to explain why there is no other coin similar to BTC, but my friend let me clear your one doubt that, you still have the opportunity and you can make a profit out of BTC, still. I mean many of us still consider ourselves early adopters of the BTC (of course not early in compared to the ones who adopted it in 2009 or 2010). But we in the long term, consider ourselves early adopters and do know that BTC will stay longer and will reach points that no one has ever expected.

I am a high school student. I learned about Bitcoin, but it's too late.
Do you mean you are just learning about bitcoin and it's already too late? The bitcoin price might be higher than when it was introduced to you, but if you have plans to invest in bitcoin, then this is another opportunity. Don't be discouraged by the current price, if you don't invest now, you might end up regretting in the future why you didn't invest in bitcoin because you think the price is already high. I can't say  what the  price of bitcoin  will be in the next 5–10 years, but I am sure it is going to be very massive.

But as history tells us, bitcoin killer will emerge one day. I want to find out such coin, but I don't have enought knowledge and ability to do that..
I don't know the history that tells you that killer coins are going to emerge. Those people who are saying that are just anti-Bitcoin, lot's of coins have tried to compete with Bitcoin, but all of them are always ending up dead. I am not expecting any coin in the future that will kill Bitcoin, but lets keep looking.

I don't also have the knowledge to discover such a coin that will kill bitcoin, so it would be better if you try to learn harder so that you would be able to discover such a coin, but I am sure you won't be finding any.

Is there a coin that is similar to Bitcoin now? something that is perfectly decentralized.
No coin is similar to bitcoin in terms of decentralization.

There is a coin similar to bitcoin and they are all fork from bitcoin, but they are mostly garbage. Coins like Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin cash, Bitcoin SV and check them all, they have not live to their potential because they are scams. There are improve altcoins that are built on bitcoin source code like LTC but improved on the confirmation timing, it's better but what difference does it make so far with bitcoin, not even price growth comes near to bitcoin.

You want to make quick cash because you think bitcoin cannot give you that again but remember, quick money comes with high risk. There are altcoins in the market you can look up to but just know that they are very volatile, easy to grow in price through pump but the day they want to fall, you will love bitcoin more than you are trying to look for alternatives coins. So think twice and check what happened to some of the top altcoins last year.

Just as others have said, there is no coin that is as completely decentralized as Bitcoin.
There are other coins in the cryptocurrency space, but they are not decentralized, although you can trust some of them at your own risk.

And there is no history that says that there is a coin that is a Bitcoin killer; if you have proof for that, you can provide it here for more clarification.

Since you are looking for another coin to invest in since you are thinking that Bitcoin will soon die, it means you want to make quick money in cryptocurrency, but I want you to know that that is the only coin you can trust with less risk, but others are good as well if you did your research and feel satisfied with them, but know that there is a very high risk in such an investment, so be prepared.

I need to correct something here, Genesis block is the first transactioned block in Bitcoin; Bitcoin is not called the genesis block but we can call it the birth of cryptocurrency. Genesis Block was moved from Satoshi to Hal Finney. Hope I helped OP.

Do not regret what you have not gained or lost control of, instead try to make out things with the resources you have now. I mean, if you have judged the potential of BTC then you might not have asked for another BTC or similar coin having the same potential that BTC has. Because, those who have realized the potential of BTC are still not going to leave it and have accumulated it for years. Even the ones who get their hands on BTC at an early age are still holding those BTCs.

Did you not think about that for another second? Do not make decisions in FOMO and try to listen to every POV and then decide what you have to get with what resources. Because if a person tells you that there is a coin that has similar potential that BTC has then You will spend all of your money on that in FOMO and in the end, you will lose everything.

So it is best to get some idea about BTC and how things work here.

It is just very funny to me how curious you are to find a coin just like you have explained like a Bitcoin killer that would dominate the market. For now I don't think that kind of coin has been created so far. There is no such kind of coin so you should be ready to invest in Bitcoin or any other coin in the  market.

Bitcoin is the major force of the market now and there is no coin that can be compared to Bitcoin in regard to market cap, volatility, holders and so on. Maybe when that time comes we are going to know what the coin would be but you should try your best to learn about the market so that you understand how the crypto market works and see if you can create that kind of coin you think will be Bitcoin killer.

As a high school student, you're young, and you might be more vulnerable to being fooled or scammed. Do not be hasty and impulsive, especially when it comes to investments. Stay neutral in your approach to your feelings and decisions. Make sure to familiarize yourself with and verify the legitimacy of projects. There's no "next Bitcoin" currently in existence, but let's also not close our minds to the potential of other developers who's eager to solve problems that Bitcoin currently cannot solve

At the current state of cryptocurrency, the Bitcoin killer had yet to be created.  There are lots of altcoins that announce to be Bitcoin killer but later end up as worthless shitcoin.

I also agree that there will come a time when a new creation will make Bitcoin obsolete since it is normal for technology to become obsolete overtime while new and more powerful technology is created, but when will it happen is still unknown.  So instead of looking for the Bitcoin killer, it is better to learn more about the cryptocurrency industry and be updated on news and current events.  This way we will be notified if the Bitcoin killer has been actually created.

You were only 4 years old when Bitcoin was launched in 2009. In that case, we can say you are still a youth of 18 years, but you are now involved in Bitcoin and learning accordingly, I would say it is not too late. Rather, depending on your age, you have started to relate to Bitcoin a lot and have come to learn about Bitcoin. I never told myself that I was a latecomer to Bitcoin, as I was over 22 years old when I found out about it. But since you joined this forum to learn Bitcoin at a young age, I think you will soon gain a good knowledge of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is one of the first and foremost cryptocurrency that will remain your future asset for ages. As far as I know, I haven't seen any good alternatives to Bitcoin yet, but Bitcoin is one of the most dominant currencies in the crypto world. As you are interested in investing, I would advise you to stay away from altcoins, we have seen many in the past that altcoins have mostly turned into scams and people have lost their money. Accordingly, you discard altcoin and accept bitcoin, the best coin to invest is bitcoin.

It's never too late when you want to do something and all you need to do is learn to understand how to do it properly. If you are still young, there may be big obstacles regarding capital and I also experienced this when I first got to know Bitcoin. But when confidence in Bitcoin has grown there are ways we can invest, allocating a regular amount of money even if it is small and DCA is the best way you can use at this time.

I want to ask the smart people here. Is there a coin that is similar to Bitcoin now? something that is perfectly decentralized. I want to invest there. If there's a coin you're making, is fine too. Just let me know. I hope this post becomes a legend.
There is no coin nearby that can compete with bitcoin in a decentralized manner and if you think there is a coin that is similar to bitcoin, then we can decide that it is a scam? I have done some research before deciding to invest and what I found that Bitcoin is one of the best ever.

First of all tou you are not late, you can still invest in btc. People in 2014 was also saying same but after that Bitcoin rised so many x and I believe that people in 2035 will say same that why they not invested in 2020-2025.

History tells that there was no good investment than gold before Bitcoin and  thousands year gold ruled over other currency. Now my question is you can wait for thousand years  for emerging Bitcoin killer.

Many coins are launched with the idea of Bitcoin killer but no one succeeded. Ethereum, Litecoin, XRP and Bitcoin cash were some coins launched with this mission and you can compare them with btc. No coin is more decentralized than btc nd further more global adoption playing great role in it which only belong to Bitcoin.

There is no next bitcoin, many people before you have asked & become broke chasing for a magical coin that doesn’t exist. You are still very young, my advice to you is save regularly & buy bitcoin for many, many years. You will do very well if you buy regularly & hold long term. I know it’s boring but it’s effective.

Who says it's too late to learn about Bitcoin, anyone who wants to learn about Bitcoin can learn whenever they are ready. Bitcoin is not about today for tomorrow, next week, next month and next year, Bitcoin will continue to exist even though generations have changed.
There is no perfect decentralized coin like Bitcoin. Now we have the best coins and are starting to be accepted by several companies including buying Honda products with Bitcoin, so there is no other recommendation for you besides Bitcoin.

I think OP is talking about missing out on the opportunity of investing in Bitcoin in its early days, quite a lot of people think they've missed out on Bitcoin because thy didn't buy Bitcoin when it was relatively cheap, well the reason is that most people who think this way consider Bitcoin as only a get rich quick scheme, because if they didn't, they'd appreciate how far the network has come, both in terms of price and as a currency.

Op seems to be looking for another coin like Bitcoin (still in its early days), so they can buy it now and benefit when it grows into the future, it is better if they take such thought out of their mind, there are many altcoins out there and so many more are going to be created in the future, but 9 out of 10 lacks any actual utility or is a scam coin, forget about the "next Bitcoin" and use Bitcoin.

That's what it looks like. The OP's missed out on investing in the first years of bitcoin's birth so he's trying to identify the next big cryptocurrency. He wants to invest now so he'll be able to get rich when it grows but he's joining a group wanting the same. We don't know which new token or coin's going to make it big so can't tell him.

Who says it's too late to learn about Bitcoin, anyone who wants to learn about Bitcoin can learn whenever they are ready.

Since the day I entered this market, I have also seen a number of people claiming to kill bitcoin, but that seems to be just a way to attract attention from those with exaggerated purposes.

In fact, you can absolutely research about decentralized things, but I'm not a good person at finding GEMs, so I can only express that don't dream about anything other than focusing on deeper research with bitcoin to get more different values. With a young age like OP, you will have many opportunities if you prepare more knowledge and experience in this environment.

Yes, mate, I also think that the purpose of the OP's statement is to describe the investing opportunity in Bitcoin in the early days. That is, regret about the opportunity. Many similar people have been there before, are still there, and will be there in the future. Those who say that we have missed the opportunity to invest in Bitcoin In fact, it is not like that; Bitcoin always gives opportunities for profit. And those who catch the opportunity do not let the opportunity go away, but consider the opportunity as a booty and make an entry at the perfect time.

It is a little thought-provoking for those who say that we have missed the opportunity to ask them what lame excuses you had when Bitcoin made its ATH of 64.8k on April 14, 2021. So, in the same way, the regrater started regrating for missing the opportunity, and when Bitcoin was rejected and reached 16.4k in November 2022 in its bear cycle, no one could grab the opportunity while they felt afraid that Bitcoin would end.

It is surprising that when Bitcoin was expensive, they were trying to buy it, and when it became cheap, they were not ready to buy and started making lame excuses. So the purpose of saying this is that those who are ready to grab the opportunity take every opportunity and do not miss it, and those who are not serious only make excuses. Moreover, Bitcoin gives you the opportunity to enter at a low price, so the wise person is the one who does not waste the opportunity and books a profit by entering at the perfect time.

In simple words, there is no next bitcoin. Nothing can be compared with bitcoin. A father is always a father. In the future, he may become the godfather, though.  :D
Also, it's not too late; rather, it's never too late if you invest in bitcoin for the long term. Since you are young, you can hold on for many years and see how your investment grows.
There are other decentralized projects out there. With thorough research, you can invest there as well.

Forget about the next bitcoin, because at least to me you do not even have what is necessary to invest in bitcoin, by trying to find a coin with the same potential you are simply showing your inexperience and your lack of knowledge about this market, because even if we were to assume such a project can be created and it can appear relatively soon, I can assure you that it will not be a cryptocurrency, instead it will have to be a revolutionary concept no one has ever been able to create before, just as bitcoin was back in the day.

Exactly the point, why looking for another when we already had one?
And indeed proven to be profitable and functional for all those years of existence?
Just invest in bitcoin and stop seeking for another or replacement, we have trusted Satoshi and this will remain.

I think you are looking at the wrong history or you are comparing bitcoin to that history wrongly. I think you are still very new to the world of cryptocurrencies so you have a misconception that any others coin will emerge in the future that will beat Bitcoin. Bitcoin's competitor is Bitcoin itself.  And Bitcoin's block chain system is the best example of a decentralized system in the world of cryptocurrencies. You are still new so I hope you will correct this misconception in the future.

A lot of coins have attempted and said that they are the next Bitcoin but all of them have failed. If we are planning to create a crypto we should avoid using that tagline because there are lots of Bitcoin lovers in the space and they can boycott that kind of projects. Even though Bitcoin is only a nonliving thing or only a currency, it is still treated as the father of all cryptos.

But, there is no such thing as a god father or grand father here because like we have said earlier, nothing follows to its footsteps anymore. Some centralized projects works good too as addition and I think many cryptos are like this. It was mostly Bitcoin is the decentralized crypto who got successful.

Most new projects claim that they can replace BTC, but in reality when the long bearish season arrives they die one by one by themselves, what's worse, some end up being scams. This indicates that altcoins like XRP, LTC, BNB and ETH are still not worthy of being compared to new projects that suddenly appear with this sound. This may be based on their focus being wrong. Bitcoin and several altcoins that are currently still thriving and running, they focus on what is, on what they are doing, not copying and not claiming they are the best but trying to be better, this is what needs to be emphasized. Except you're a time traveller, I ain't sure such event has ever happened to the point that it's now historical. Perhaps what you're seeking is a strong competitor for Bitcoin. We could've such in decades to come as I believe nothing is impossible in this crypto space but it will take a long time to come. This current dispensation is madly in love with Bitcoin and it will be very difficult to shift such attention on Bitcoin. Even ETH with all its utilities still hasn't come close to Bitcoin. Just look for a cheap token with utility and invest in now for the bull run. Forget targeting what coin could kill Bitcoin.

The cryptocurrencies XRP, LTC, BNB and ETH have been good investments they've helped ppl become rich. They aren't capable of catching bitcoin's prices but they're powerful investments. New projects can't stay the course they're abandoned when devs realise they can't do anything to raise their fortunes.

No other alts are similar or can surpass Bitcoin so be careful on investing to any coins just because you're looking for similar to it. Anyway, why would you want a Bitcoin killer? You're not late if you still want to engage yourself. It's better to invest in less risky established coins, rather than a new coin, keep that in mind.

Thus, invest in Bitcoin or established alts (ETH or BNB) because it's not yet late. Moreover always DYOR to not lose your capital.

OP's received advice it won't be possible to find a new bitcoin because it's proven it'll hold off any attempt to kill it. He's got to change his plan.

I hope this post becomes a legend.
Already had similar post in the past :p so nope.

There is no other coins similar to Bitcoin even in few years later in the future. There is none close to Bitcoin in terms of usefulness, the decentralization and the community around it, other coins would not have stand a chance against Bitcoin.

Also there is no such thing such as late in cryptocurrency you still have a chance to gain profit because you are still young enough to do long-term holding. Because of Bitcoin's nature, you will find yourself getting a profit in the future if you are patient enough with your investment.

They probably claim to be late to bitcoin because they have missed the days in which you could get bitcoin for almost nothing and become a millionaire that way, but those people are just deceiving themselves, even if they actually had the chance to invest in bitcoin as one of the persons involved on this market on the early days explained bitcoin to them, I am sure they would have never invested in bitcoin anyway, as it is easy to think the success of bitcoin was inevitable now that bitcoin is very valuable, but back then it was nowhere near as clear, and even governments disregarded bitcoin as an invention that will not make it far.

There’s no next Bitcoin because Bitcoin will stay on top and seriously how can you say its too late already where the price is still cheap?

Better to move on and start investing with Bitcoin, don’t stay with your what if or regrets for now knowing Bitcoin during its early time because most of us here also not able to adapt during that time. What you can do right now is to start investing and have your investment strategy with Bitcoin.

In my opinion there will be no next Bitcoin, because Bitcoin will remain the king of cryptocurrency forever, so instead of looking for the next Bitcoin and just wasting your money or time, it's better for you to just start doing DCA Bitcoin, because I'm sure when the next bullrun comes, then you will get a lot of profits, because the price of Bitcoin will increase very high and create a new ATH price.

That's right, Bitcoin is only one and of course there will be many altcoins that develop in the next bullish season, so it's like natural selection where there will be many altcoins that stand out but there will also be many altcoins that will turn to dust, but unfortunately we can only predict without any guarantee which altcoin which will rise to the top because there are so many, but there are several old altcoins that are worth investing in

I think, bearish season is still on in the market which is not too late for investors to use the opportunity to invest in a potential coins that will surprise them when the full bullish season appear soon. Bitcoin still remaining as the king among other cryptocurrencies you can embrace in bearish season like this and have confidence that when the price increase higher to hit your expectations, it will double your income that will make you to believe that there is no other Bitcoin in the crypto market. If you can take a good step to Carry out your personal research to know the type of altcoins you want to add to your Bitcoin investment, I think it will really help you to grow higher financially, and it will be very easy for you to remain in profits making in your investment..

No and there's none, I don't think there's any for now and in the near future, bitcoin is what carries most of the financial economy challenges away from most people who adopt it use, don't be misguided by other crypto projects that shares similar names with bitcoin.

something that is perfectly decentralized. I want to invest there. If there's a coin you're making, is fine too. Just let me know. I hope this post becomes a legend.

You're seeing a whale right in front of you but you're going about seeking for crayfish to hunt roaming about, this is bitcoin right here that you're not investing and you're there hearing different testimonies on what bitcoin has done in performance, please if you're not adopting bitcoin, are you then going for alts or what exactly.

Yeah he needs to do that because there is no such thing as next BTC. Even next ETH there isn't too. It's been a long time already. There are coins who confidently say they are like that but they are only joking. Look where are they now? Dead. For those who plan on creating a coin and have the same vision, I suggest to not do it as it's like it has a curse and you guys are only destined to fail easily.

What actually is needed to invest in BTC? BTC isn't hard to understand and as long as we have some money, we can use it and get started. And so what if he is inexperienced? I think there is no problem with that. BTC might only be a concept before but Satoshi made it possible, but again I don't think such perfect model can be replicated for the second time around.

Sure, you can find new coins or tokens, but none of them are "next bitcoin", and same thing goes with the fact that there will not be "next ethereum".

Why?

Because they filled a void, becoming next something isn't filling a void. It's trying to replicate something. Like the mooning event of bitcoin.

If you want to find next big thing. Look for the originality and the tech. Not just something that tries to copy something and making it faster. Usually they are just cutting corners and security to achieve that.

For example Erc721 was original and most people missed it, as they needed to process how it works. There was no token really, as anyone could make one, but just knowing what's going on in the scene puts you in a special position where you know what's probably coming in near future. So follow the announcements, read endless amount of white papers and reviews and you eventually might strike gold.

You can obviously listen to unknown people, but nine times out of them it will get you lured in to scam or buying someone else's bags.
That's what the hype is. Telling people to buy their bags on the top. No one just says it out loud. And most likely they won't tell you after they sold.

I don't think you require knowledge/ability to know about next bitcoin or any next big thing, such things come across individual spontaneously by sheer luck and it's in his will to get into it or not. Many people came across Bitcoin early, earned thousands, yet lost them by losing seed phrases/losing device where seed or pvk was saved and in other various ways.

To get into Bitcoin early and hold onto it until it reached significant amount of value is not an easy thing to do, it requires tremendous faith in currency itself. If you had purchased it at 5 cents, then you would have sold it at 1$, if not at 1$ then for sure at 150$, you'd have to go through several bear markets, until it reached it's peak value.

And then there these allurements of increasing your BTC holding by trading, which would have made you lose your stack.

people like you OP are those people  that only investing because of easy money and don't wanna risk so sure you will not get what you wanted in that attitude.
in crypto you need to be patient and risk taker, if you cannot deal with that then try in other investment world and not in crypto.

the way OP is posting is like he want to have another bitcoin kind of coin that will generate Him to become millionaire for such time frame.
imagine if you have a new born baby and use 1 dollar to buy that coin , after 13 years you will be hundred thousand richer?

But if OP will only understand the potential of bitcoin in the next 10 years, he will grab the opportunity now or be sorry finding shitcoin or a non valued coin in long term process .

Bitcoin might have great potential to generate profits for its investors but to be honest, it wouldn't make someone a millionaire anymore unless someone is investing a large amount already and hoping for maybe about 3x or 4x of that investment which is still possible, but the growth percentage of Bitcoin from its initial stage until now cannot be matched by any other coin or token or even itself no matter how high it goes because it is already pretty expensive.

Based on the current price of Bitcoin, even if it goes to $1m, that will only be 28.5x profit for someone who has invested at $35k, and an average investment wouldn't make you a millionaire even after that, because if you invest $1,000 at $35k, you will only have $28.5k if Bitcoin reaches $1m.

It's said for so many times that there will be a bitcoin killer, I'd say that forget about that and focus on what we've got as of today and that is with Bitcoin. There's no need to think of the next bitcoin because it is irreplaceable and if there is another project that shall emerge then it is because of what it is and not because it's attached to be the next Bitcoin. It's not just all about the price that it has got but look at the use case of Bitcoin. It's actually like dollar nowadays where you can spend it in many stores that accepts it as a real money. Unlike the next bitcoin you might be thinking is just a random token that nobody wants to use. That's the point, the use case that it has got and how many people willing to adopt it.

I was alarmed recently when I read that Quantum computer can end Bitcoins decentralization but seems it

impossible because how did OP expect people will trust another coin when there are already tons of Altcoin that investors can

There is always a FUD that's trying to take down the throne of bitcoin and whoever the people behind this only wants one thing and that's to take down the price of Bitcoin so that they can buy. People have to realize that matters when we're already doing good and then a sudden correction comes with such news. But that's fine because no matter how bad a news is, Bitcoin is going to recover whether they're terribly bad or not.

I have also heard about the quantum computers and it's said to be faster than the usual ones and it will decrypto or decode asic miners or they can disrupt the entire blockchain of Bitcoin. Well, it's easier said than done and actually there was also one that I can barely remember and it's another technology that they've said to be better than blockchain.

Aside from that then we might see the next thing they say to the market and that's all about the next blockchain killer. But regardless of the ideas that they come up with, it's highly unlikely that they're going to take down bitcoin and based on the status that it has got, a secure network, a support from the community all around the globe and more institutions adopting it.

For years there has been speculation that quantum computers are going to end bitcoin, but what those people that make that argument do not seem to get is that if bitcoin was affected by those computers the same will be true for banks, governments and businesses.

The good news is there are already quantum resistant algorithms, and once it may seem as if quantum computers are getting close to break the current cryptographic algorithms then all institutions around the world will move towards those resistant algorithms to avoid their security being broken.

Since you said you're looking for coin that is profitable like BTC in the market, I will assure you that there is no coin that is stable like BTC but I can refer you to some coins you can invest in the market you will earn a good profits when the price of BTC increase higher because, whenever the price of BTC hit higher in the market, it gives other cryptocurrencies opportunity to increase too. I will advise you to try this two coins Solana and BNB, but try to do your own research to verify what am referring you to before investing in this bear run because all those two coins always move close to BTC price whenever there is a bull run in the market.

Long term hodling is more profitable than short term hodling which you need to take note of that when making your choice on coins that are potential like BTC in the market.

I agree, there's no better coin than Bitcoin and if it's about stability on its market, Bitcoin has been the most reliable of them all.

Long term hodling is more profitable than short term hodling which you need to take note of that when making your choice on coins that are potential like BTC in the market.
It differs to the need of an investor. If short term holding seems to be profitable for him then you better go get that and take your profits shortly. But there is no argument if it's about long term, I've proved that myself that it's the best period on this market if you want to enter.

No point in crying over something you didn’t have control over
Technically you’re not yet late to bitcoin as investment is already in your mind even as a high school student you can still invest in btc now and still watch your money grow there has been lots of projects to have claimed to be the next btc but nothing has proven themselves to be true yet and i believe no coin will emerge to be better than btc in the near future either

why take a risk of losing your money on coins you know wouldn’t surpass btc instead of just putting your money into a sure and safe option that is btc?

what is the yardstick backing this claims of newbies lamenting how late they have arrived to investing in bitcoin. Bitcoin still has more circles to cover and any investor that have a realistic accumulative DCA strategy is certain of making profit on the long go. There's no replica for bitcoin, bitcoin is unique with a universal acceptance that no altcoin can beat the reach, BCH regardless of using the similar name  bitcoin-cash was unable to replace or pick a solid competition against Bitcoin (BTC). Bitcoin has hold the lead among all cryptocurrencies for over a decade now and it's still extend the lead currently unbeaten.

Is there a coin that is similar to Bitcoin now? something that is perfectly decentralized. I want to invest there. If there's a coin you're making, is fine too. Just let me know. I hope this post becomes a legend.

Honestly, I Bitcoin killer isn't coming. Im sure of this. You can try get some Bitcoin or keep participate in different kinds of exchanges event to earn free coins. I wont advise you to go into lowcap coins cos they are mostly scams. But if you can get someone close to you to guide you, then you should be able to buy the ones that are safe. And you might end up making huge profit when the bull market comes.

Optimus Prime is a true leader. The strongest opponent will not win against Optimus prime because his mission is to save not destroy the planet.

I've been with altcoins for years and haven't found a coin as great as Bitcoin. This is the first after not participating in a long time and not wanting to participate in altcoins anymore.
For a long time, there have been people who said that one day a coin would be born that could beat Bitcoin, but Bitcoin is still the best and most other coins are just running in place.

Those newbies do not want to perform a DCA strategy and earn money with bitcoin in such a slow manner and by investing so much capital.

So when they look at the price of bitcoin and its volume they think they are too late, and in a way they are right, since what they want is to earn a ridiculous amount of money and become millionaires by investing just a few hundreds dollars, and bitcoin cannot offer that performance anymore.

Now that you are old enough to understand bitcoin then why having this second thoughts? why looking for next bitcoin when the original is still existing and still profitable?
bitcoin even shows great growth weeks after your posting ?

and what I am seeing here is your not interested in having conversation here in your own thread and I am afraid that you have just created this for spamming.

How much are you going to invest if ever? are you trying to say that you wanted to put 1 dollar and after 10 years to become a Million like what early adopters earned?

There will always be young kids who are going to get a lot more excited that we would ever get, they will want to get the most out of their life and for that to happen they will want to get rich quicker. When I was younger I wanted to be wealthy before I was 30 years old, so that I would live a life like kings, things I couldn't do or wouldn't be bale to do without money, I wanted money for all those things.

When I grew older nowadays, I realize that the only thing that matters is to have enough money for when I am unable to work, I wouldn't want to be someone who is 75 years old and has to work in order to survive, that would be quite terrible because you would be possibly unable to work, and you would need money for those days.

They are lacking in knowledge but it's not an excuse to not do a research. If they do, they will found out that DCA is one of the best ways to invest in BTC. It's not heavy in the pocket than doing all-in's. No one is too late in here as long as Bitcoin is still there because it is fluctuating and then more all-time highs are still going to be unlocked soon. It take patience here to be successful.

Even in the past, Bitcoin didn't just go to Hero from Zero but it also took a lot of time, and I doubt if many have became a millionaire, adding the fact that Bitcoin is less known that time. BTC as a foreign currency, you as a holder are going to be very happy already once you saw that you can now sell your coin, so you're definitely going to sell it early.

Since you missed the whole process I am sorry there is no coin or projects that can compete with Bitcoin even though any projects is launched today and claiming to be the superior believe it or not within the shortest time they will all fold up because many projects tried to compete with bitcoin but has failed due to decentralized nature of bitcoin. What i will tell you is that no time is late for you to invest, the market is still low you can buy and hold because while trying to wait for a fellow competitor to come launch a project to bring down bitcoin may be very hard which I know is not possible.

A massive numbers had been made, thousands of it claims to be bitcoin or seen as a bitcoin killer but as of now there's really no altcoin can beat bitcoin. I don't see people willing to give up their bitcoin just to make another altcoin that has a potential to beat bitcoin. Bitcoin is the legacy of cryptocurrency, many believe that it will last before their lifetime ends. Technology wise, sure! there are many altcoin that is better than bitcoin but bitcoin is number one for many reasons and I don't think it's wise to oppose it especially if we want to make good profits from it.

I was alarmed recently when I read that Quantum computer can end Bitcoins decentralization but seems it
is fading story now , because still there are nothing that can kill bitcoin(not at least in our time now) having next bitcoin will be
impossible because how did OP expect people will trust another coin when there are already tons of Altcoin that investors can
use upon ? and how do expect something like this growth to take place when having bitcoin is more than enough to said its worth it?
For years there has been speculation that quantum computers are going to end bitcoin, but what those people that make that argument do not seem to get is that if bitcoin was affected by those computers the same will be true for banks, governments and businesses.

The good news is there are already quantum resistant algorithms, and once it may seem as if quantum computers are getting close to break the current cryptographic algorithms then all institutions around the world will move towards those resistant algorithms to avoid their security being broken.
Yeah and thanks for the heads up here mate, this clears my thought now and yes Government will not let this
to happen because all will be affected so now we are closing the topic in about Quantum computers killing our precious Bitcoin and this
proves one thing once again that bitcoin will live more years than those detractors wanted to say, sorry for them but  bitcoin will be our
 future currency.

Now I can stay calm because truly this bothers me for sometime but yes conversation about this stopped already .

Well, though everyone says it's never too late to make investments, it keeps getting late as we keep moving into the future. The level of investment growth right now would never be able to match the level that we saw during the last decade from 2012 to 2022. So, OP is looking for an altcoin that can provide them the same growth potential and match the level of Bitcoin's initial growth which isn't possible in my opinion because no altcoin can reach that place.

It's better if he settles down with the existing cryptocurrencies that have good potential instead of looking for new cryptocurrencies to invest in because even if some of them might have good potential and provide good profits, most of them will only eat their money up and that will cost them more than the profits they might get from other investments.

And that is precisely the issue, if people were more pragmatic about what they are looking for then investing in bitcoin even at its current price will be a very good proposition, as bitcoin still is holding a massive amount of potential.

But people more than anything are looking for assets which can move in an explosive manner and generate substantial profits in a short amount of time, while at the same time they incur in no risk, and an asset like that does not really exist.

There won't be any next Bitcoin and it don't need to be another Bitcoin to give you ROI like Bitcoin did. Just look at the ROI of some altcoin like matic, sol, Shiba Inu. They are extremely rare but exist and there will be more like these in the future. But the sad reality is it is next to impossible to tell which one will be the next that can shows that level of growth. So I think it's better to invest a small amount in different type of narrative coin and if you are lucky enough you might pick the right one.

Creating new tokens like Bitcoin already means being in its shadow. Bitcoin is beyond competition, no one can replace it. Time has shown that everything else is temporary and he is the only one. And time will undoubtedly determine the evolution and dynamics of cryptocurrencies, but Bitcoin position remains the determining factor in this situation.

Op I don't think any crypto can take the place of Bitcoin, any new coin that is created is just another clone that can never take the place of its original, provided its from the crypto world there is no chance of any altcoin to overthrown Bitcoin, even the top altcoins in the market are no where close to that of  Bitcoin. I think what you're hopefully waiting for is a fairy tale told told to children, and they can never exit nor be fulfilled. So I'll advise you search no longer and work with what you have at hand. Besides who says it too late for bitcoin accumulation? It is never too late to start bitcoin accumulation, the fact that you'll not be able to purchase 1BTC easily doesn't mean you can't purchase some satoshi, if the overall price of 1BTC increase that of the satoshi would also increase, so you are never too late to start accumulating. But if you ignore accumulating now, after few years you'll still say, had it been I knew.

The best way to find good projects is look at the trends, like recently AI projects are doing well and spread your bet in like 4 to 5 of them, once you keep doing this you will get the return you are looking for

You make it sound like it's a piece of cake and anyone with even minimal knowledge about the market and cryptocurrencies can earn profit from this market but it's not the truth and reality is always different. If it was that easy to identify projects that would gain multiple folds of their current price then I believe there would have been one millionaire out of 10 traders right now, but since that isn't how things are done, traders usually just stay happy with whatever profit they manage to get.

People like you are the reason why newbie investors think that this market is very easy and one can easily earn a lot of money from it because you motivate them to make investments, that too in new projects that might not gain any value and die off before they manage to take off in the first place.

There are many coins that will rise higher in the future but no one will rise above BTC despite we know that BTC will not last forever in the market, but as it stand now in the market, there is no coins you can use to compare BTC because the price has reached $43k. The coin that is close to BTC is Ethereum which is standing in the 2nd position among other cryptocurrencies which is a sign that if BTC disappear from the market today, it will take over as the king among other cryptocurrencies because the price has increased to $2k and it will surely reach $3k before the end of next year 2024.

BTC still remain the king among other cryptocurrencies, I don't think there are coins like BTC in the market but there are some potential coins you can invest now and you will have pretty money to achieve when their price rise higher.

No there is no next Bitcoin even in time to come, even the best altcoin cannot be considered as the second Bitcoin, nor will it be considered the second best, reason being that it is a follower of Bitcoin price movement, so it cannot do more than itself. Bitcoin will continue to give altcoins a very massive space that you can't even think of comparing any altcoin to Bitcoin, even in time past Bitcoin has proven that it is worthy of any kind of holding but, it is more profitable for long term holders.

There are already around 11,600 cryptocurrencies available on the coingecko (https://www.coingecko.com/?page=116) list consisting of coins and tokens but none of them can match Bitcoin.

They will never learn. They are so selfish thinking that their altcoins will surpass bitcoin and the achievements that it has got. But they need to understand that bitcoin is incomparable and if they want to compare, they should choose another altcoin if they are into it.
Because no matter good things and shill they say to their crypto or alts they invest, it is not going to work against bitcoin. But with some alts, maybe it is going to work.

Though your thread is some how complicated but the idea is captured. And if you want to invest in a project that is very close to Bitcoin then that you have some amount of money to invest. And that money can be invested in Bitcoin. Use that money to invest in Bitcoin and hodle it for some years and when you have gotten enough then you can split the investment to another altcoins and doe now there is no coin which very close Bitcoin that is decentralized. Or so you want to try Ethereum? Ethereum is the second cryptocurrency in the cryptocurrency industry.

Many Altcoins have been compared to Bitcoin already but with time we see there downfall too early, as no true value associated with those crypt currency. So it will be better to stick with Bitcoin and begin to invest now
They will never learn.
We can't force anyone to learn, we can only share our opinion and at the end of the day everyone will choose what to do, I believe the op has already made his decision concerning his investment choice and if he's attentive and listens to people opinion he will choose to invest in bitcoin cause there's no better decentralize coin good as bitcoin. There's nothing bad choosing different altcoin for invest, with the resources and good strategy there's a guarantee of making profit or loss but there's no need comparing bitcoin with other altcoin cause bitcoin remains superior

I don't agree with you, it seems that the coin you mentioned will never be able to compete with Bitcoin, and never will. Bitcoin still remains the top cryptocurrency on the market and is second to none. While other projects may come and go in the market, Bitcoin's decentralized nature and widespread adoption make it a reliable investment choice. It is better not to invest in coins that are not trusted in the market. Consider buying and holding bitcoins for the long term for future profits.

You see a lot of new layer 1 blockchains and projects and as well as L2s. But do you think they're all worth it? If so, choose any of them.
But having that choice, don't forget to accumulate Bitcoin. It's going to be your shield on this market mostly when the bloody bath comes to it.

That's sad if he don't consider investing in Bitcoin. But that's it, we've given some ideas but it should be the priority of an investor on this bull run, to have bitcoin.

People would really be always have that kind of consideration on trying to look for the next Bitcoin, if we do tend to look at those altcoins around then we could really be able to tell that all of those coins or projects are really that tending to replace Bitcoin into its spot on which they would really be trying out invest as early as they could. They do have those thoughts that they do missed up that Bitcoin golden train then its up for them
to look for another one on which its a common approach. Who doesnt really want on getting rich? Of course all of us does wanted that but sometimes luck factor would really be something that plays out a role into this one.

Speaking about meme coins then there are investors or traders who do make themselves being a millionaire and this is why if you do tend to hover into these markets or places then
you would really be seeing that significant demand into it.

Right now what's going on is that Bitcoin is as yet number 1 as far as market cap, yet additionally with regards to natural attributes like the security of its organization, decentralization or the breaking point to its creation. This while stictions keep on arising, we are now during the several thousands, with which most will lose the cash they put and which will vanish in a  of years.

There is a saying: "Monero is what Bitcoin noobs think they bought" - Dr. Daniel Kim

If you really believe in tech and not the hype, Monero is for you.

If you just want to become a millionaire, don't ask me.
I already was one before cryptocurrencies and don't care about gains, just happy to have it stored away from the eyes of government and only trading to FIAT small portions for daily use for years now (from 2016).

It gave me true freedom, worth more than FIAT gains for me.

There’s no coin that will be like Bitcoin. Bitcoin is unique and can’t be replicated. If you’re talking about value, it went from under a dollar to thousand of it (maybe someday hundreds of thousands of dollars). If you’re talking about the technology, there’s no coin that will be the same because even Satoshi not being known makes Bitcoin more unique. And when you say you want to invest, don’t do it because someone suggested, make sure you do your proper research so you don’t turn money into dust.

Bitcoin is the only number one cryptocurrency with no competitors. You can buy bitcoins if you want but on the contrary I can not guarantee that any coin is as real as bitcoin, only bitcoin is real. You can gamble but the risk will be the highest and investing in Altcoin is the most risky and there is a possibility that your wealth will be completely absorbed.

Being #1 in market cap does not mean being technologically better... do your own research, it may surprise you.

The thing is, people don't even understand the value proposition of certain projects they invest into - here's an example:

There’s no coin that will be like Bitcoin. Bitcoin is unique and can’t be replicated.

If not being able to replicate Bitcoin project was a value then it's value would equal to zero - anyone can fork Bitcoin, that's why we have Bitcoin Cash and other projects.

The value comes from ongoing development of the project (no development means the project is dead) and from utility (real world usage), not from holding and praying to heavens for "number go up" and trying to push more people into buying with the only value proposition of "number goes up" as the project would be nothing more than a Ponzi scheme.

Bitcoin is the only number one cryptocurrency with no competitors.

This is just being lunatic, living in a bubble world. Whether you like it or not, there is a strong competition to Bitcoin and it will not disappear when you close your eyes.

Yes, even though this was the fact, it's funny that others are still trying their best to clone or create a coin which are better than it. Maybe some has a use case different to it but I think that's not enough to say that they are now better than in BTC, we already know why. One that is common to us is that BTC is the first crypto and up until now still standing strong. That answers to why its value grew like what we are seeing now because people already built a foundation or trust on it.

A lot of people are assuming that BTC can reach 100k$, so maybe what you are telling there for it to hit the same milestone is truly possible and it's not just a what if but we can also see how the price moves in real-time.
