This thought just crossed my mind after I dropped my comment on this board here some hours ago. I have tried to search for any related topic but have not gotten any results. Guys, if this topic has been discussed before, please do well to tag me while you also drop your opinions here.

If the title is a bit tricky, then I will break it down.

Gambling is for fun, and actually, if someone wants to have fun gambling, there is no way they can spend six hours gambling or even spend the rest of their day gambling.

In my opinion,  the more time one decides to spend on gambling, the more money they lose. For example, if I spend like one hour gambling and another gambler spends like six hours gambling, which one of us do you think will spend more money?

So the question again is: how many hours do you gamblers think are more appropriate to spend while gambling?

Some people will say that they will gamble for as long as their deposited money is still not exhausted, while others will say that they will gamble until their urge is satisfied. But I think that it will be exhausting to gamble for a very long time, like more than 6 hours, and it will also cause the gambler to lose more.

I don't think I have gambled more than 2 hours without getting tired (not sure) ;D. I have not actually checked my gambling strength to know how long I can last while gambling; now that I have thought of it, I will try it.

Several numbers of hours as much as it will take him to make the right decision for himself. Any gambler who's staking some cash to invest in any gambling must do that with lots of guts and cautioning since the same resources can go in vain if by chance the gambler makes the wrong decision, his invested money or funds will be swept under any circumstances so you need enough of time to decide and gamble strategically and not for you to rush into gambling because you have some stipulated time for you to gamble. Gambling doesn't have limited hours to gamble at any point in time you can come up with your predicted games to gamble except you wanna go to a casino house to gamble then it will be late for you to gamble at night or when you woke up from sleep, people gamble's as long as they are happy not because of what they would achieved inside of it but the fun behind it gives them that joy to continuously gamble. But if you are gambling and you make a winning or break the house then i will suggest such person should take a break and leave the house or leave the gambling site otherwise he could be tempted to use all his winnings to gamble again until they loses all, to me i will suggest that whenever you are gambling and you noticed you had already lost about 80 to 90 percent of you deposit it's the right time you space the house or site maybe the remaining percentage could be used to try luck the next day probably luck might hit on you and you break the house.

Well, as much as gambling is fun, I will gamble as long as I feel like it.
 
The two options you mentioned are included in my decision on gambling, along with even more other methods that I use for gambling. Like you said, some will say that as long as they are satisfied, yeah, some times we gamble to some extent that we get satisfied with the result, hence we quit gambling for that day.
While sometimes I gamble for a specific period until my set-out capital for gambling is exhausted, if a profit has been made, I just take that profit and go off. But if there is no profit, then I simply leave the same way.
 
I can remember a day I was playing this crash casino game on BC Games with my friend at home. We played this game for so long that we both forgot that while actually using money to gamble, we spent literally almost 5 hours, if I am correct, while playing. This is how we did it: if I play and the plane crashes, I will hand it over to my friend; if his too gets crashed, I will play next, but if any of us get it right, then that person will play until it gets crashed too. How fun it was that day! lol. Though we lost most times, we ended up getting enough profit that we used to enjoy ourselves in the evening.
 
So why I said this above is because sometimes it can be so fun that you will keep doing it without getting tired, except if you are gambling on sports bets that it might cause you anxiety and hence lead to tiredness.

First it depends on who stake more funds in the gambling range and secondly, it depends on who has lost more on your stakes.
But then, I will sum up to say the most lost counts of you all depends on your gambling budgets and your bankrolls because one who has an income of $1K per week with a gambling budget of $300 per month and the other with an income of $300 per week with a gambling budget of $100 per month are not the same.

The more free time we have, the longer we are likely to be gambling. Because when we gamble too often, when we have free time, the first thing that comes to mind is gambling and even in the midst of busy work and fulfilling assignments, we still often think about gambling. So it becomes a little difficult for us to concentrate while working and carrying out tasks, because our minds become divided. I don't really know if we are not considering how long we gamble to how much we have determined to gamble on , I mean availability of the bankroll. This is what will determine how long we want to stay and gamble in our free time.

Therefore, what will determine it is not how much we have left in the account but the range of money we have budgeted to gamble. So in this light, the faster we exhaust the budget, the faster we end the gambling for that time and if we continue to win then it can elongate our stay to gamble more. For example if you have decided to staked 1% of your total balance to gamble and you exhaust it in the next hour then it means you are not going to continue beyond that next hour but if you 1% budget takes you to next 10 hours then you are obliged to stay longer if you have that free time. So this is to say it depends on how much you have to gamble with.

If you like games like slots or dice, they are fun and can pass a lot of time. even more time is lost when too engrossed in the game.

I don't have the numbers, but I do believed that gamblers can play more than that in one sitting, specially at a land base casinos. And during my height of my gambling days, I can easily play 8 hours straight, baccarat, roulette, machines.

Let's assume a gamber deposited $10 and he is ready to lose every cent of it in just one day so he might try to keep on playing until everything was gone. If a lucky strike does happen and he gets a big multiwin it could make him play more and he won't think about withdrawal because he is ready to lose them all. There may also be a chance he will increase the bet amount because he thinks he is too lucky for a $10 deposit to go a long way.

Now, some gamblers just use the same money in 1 or 2 bets. Short-term but rewards could be satisfying if he makes the right bet. They also won't mind losing it and they don't mind if they play in a shorter time.

Depending on the budget spent, usually if there is still budget left I will still play even though I have exceeded my playing time limit. This is important to limit the budget and time when gambling but also look at the situation and conditions because I only gamble on weekends so I don't have much time to play again tomorrow on weekdays. Yes, it's true what you said, it won't take more than 2 hours or sometimes I can spend 3 hours gambling if I still feel happy when gambling and there is still a budget that hasn't been spent, but if other gamblers don't have busy lives on weekdays they can set the time even though the budget has not been used up, they can still play it again tomorrow with the remaining budget accumulated for the next day. I think so too, setting a time for your gambling session seems to me a recipe for you craving to gamble for the whole day after you've already done your session. Depends on a game a play. Playing dice for more than 15-20 minutes is boring, while poker session can last for hours and it still be fun. A lot matters if I gamble alone or in a company. Even if someone sits near while I gamble changes a lot. If near is a friend, then we can talk for hours while playing boring and repeared games. If there is a gambler who can gamble for six hours or more and does it every day that is quite extraordinary because of course he has large funds to continue gambling or he has a job that is related to gambling such as a streamer or content creator, but if he is purely just for gambling that is it will drain his mind and money and gradually his health will be disturbed so that the initial gambling for fun becomes no longer fun because too much has to be sacrificed just to gamble, not only money and time but also health and social life.

if a person doesn't do much in his daily life, he can spend his whole time in gambling because he doesn't have anything to do unlike other people who has a stable job or managing their businesses and they can only gamble on their rest days or weekends. Well, this depends entirely on you, your discipline, and your time allotment for each task you have in a day. If you are a working person, it's best to limit your gambling time to a duration where you can enjoy, relax, have fun, and maybe profit on the side without spending more than an hour or two. This is because your job alone is exhausting, probably the commute or travel to and fro your house to office. An hour or two playing and betting, in my opinion is already enough to de-stress and to reward yourself for doing  good job for the day. With this, you can still allot some of your time in doing and helping to some house chores. Probably play with your kids or pets. Or if you don't have one, talking to your spouse or parents about your day. And if you don't have one because you live alone, you can do something more valuable to your spare time such as alloting it to your side hustles.

There's no specific time because it will totally depend on you and your circumstances, but it shouldn't be too much to the point that you will disregard your responsibilities just to play.

I never played more than 1 hour in one session because i mostly blow my account this an hour, or I feel tired after playing for an hour.

If I will be winning those 1 hour then I can play more. until i  start to lose more often and lose everything then i stop playing.

It depends, my time runs out after I win unexpectedly in a short time or if I lost all what I can afford to lose, assuming $20 is all I plan to risk for today, I always make sure it doesn't surpass this amount, once I lost the whole money I take my leave or once I hit a lucky win I always take my leave even if all I have risk is just $2, and still have $18 left, I will leave.

But for matured gamblers, I dont see how gambling sessions can be long. I mean they have played the same game for million bets, they have see everything, the game might be even boring for them. A couple of hours is the most ideal I guess because the body needs to take stretching, movement, and of course rest with your eyes having several minutes on the screen waiting for the result, if you can still manage with your body and not feeling tired you can extend more but again the excess too much is bad in the health.  Based on my experience 1 hour is enough for a game take a rest and chill analyze mistakes and check the budget if still capable of making another round ill go for it or not i will call that for a day.
