Lately it became more like a hope than an actual freedom.  Do not get me wrong.  You will ALWAYS be able to spend and receive Bitcoin no matter how harsh restrictions are in your country.  But in the very extremist and hopefully impossible situation where countries decide to take extremely strong action against Bitcoin and induce fear into citizens even contemplating using it, it is not very helpful that Bitcoin can still be used freely.

Our situation is not even close to the one I described above but it is slowly heading that direction.  Mixer users are falsely called out as being 'criminals' and laundering money, Bitcoin users are rebels who are falsely known as those who would do anything to hide from the Government and many other things are being said repeatedly to taint the reputation of Bitcoin and its users.

It is a hope in a progressively restricted world.  You can not really say or do much any more without being judged, punished or have your reputation tainted for it.  Freedom of speech is dying, Privacy is too, everything linked to true freedom is seemingly slowly heading to an end.  Call me paranoid.  But you can not say a lot of the things you could of said a decade ago any more.  You can not have your own beliefs and opinions or every body will jump you.  Things are headed a pretty dark path in my view.

El Salvador and other such supportive countries are still a hope for me that while bigger countries crack down on Bitcoin, Privacy and freedom, there are smaller ones who would offer the best.  But we should see.

For me, Bitcoin is a profitable investment vehicle and also a solution for the freedom to send money across countries freely and without borders. So it could be said that Bitcoin is like freedom for me too. Apart from that, Bitcoin also made me realize that the world of finance is not limited to a centralized system. Because it was through bitcoin that I began to know about the world of non-centralized finance. Before getting to know Bitcoin, I had absolutely no idea about the world of finance which could not be centralized. And to be honest, I consider Bitcoin to be the greatest discovery of this century in the digital and financial world.

Bitcoin (BTC) for me is definitely freedom but more specifically it's freedom from being always chasing the bag or worshipping money, with bitcoin I'm able to not worry too much about earning money because I know that if I really need to earn money or have to spare some for emergencies, I don't have to worry about it too much because I know that I can just sell a small portion of what I hodl that's already considered profit and then I'd be doing just fine again, with bitcoin I was able to take my time finding a job because whenever I need the money to pay bills or eat out or buy some stuff that I want to, I don't have to worry where I have to find the money for those stuff so yeah, that's what bitcoin is to me although it's a cliche answer, I think I did fine deepening the meaning of it.

To me it is an opportunity
Opportunity for self custody
Opportunity for wealth safety
Opportunity to gain an appreciating asset in cheap price
Opportunity to accumulate wealth
An opportunity for the future.

Although there can be definitive definition of Bitcoin maybe technically speaking, on a personal level it can mean differently from one person to another depending a lot on the real and perceived impact it created on the specific person. As for me, it is more of an investment that paid a lot and then slowly I learned of the many things it is symbolizing like empowering people away from the control of institutions like governments and banks, for that matter. Bitcoin can still be considered as a young boy and there will be more to its story and history as it is now on its second decade of existence.

It's broad honestly.

Like those that are not well off in life but are one of the early investors of BTC and managed to hold it up to this time. This means a freedom, financial freedom as they can do anything they want to without having the worry with finances because bitcoin got their backs.

For me, it's a lot of things of what btc means to me. It can be my future asset being on held by me and will be converted likely to tangible assets.

Currency as well because I can use it for purchases that I want to. As in, it's like everything today.

It actually does mean everything to me and my family. Without me knowing about Bitcoin I and my family won't be able to survive the hardships we had. Bitcoin really gaves us the chance to achieve financial freedom if used properly and skillfully. There were for me never ending opportunities with Bitcoin if we really are willing and have the desire to explore it

What BTC means to me? it means a Financial freedom and wealth opportunity. This is one of the most important investments that I have, I know and I believe that the value of bitcoin will be even more successful in the coming years. I hope that one day, BTC will help me to achieve all my plans, but of course we still have to work hard to have it. BTC opens a lot of opportunities to many investors and traders.

BTC has dual relevance in my books and those are – as money and as real estate (or any property that doesn't depreciate). So, you see how strong I feel it's impact. I believe its the same for many a user here.

The hope and freedom angle is from excited fans. I don't see it from their prism. When we hype Bitcoin to high heavens we should also remember the hiccups it experiences. It's really frustrating when that congestion thing happens. For the first time I had a transaction unconfirmed for over two months. Yes, it was that bad because the app I used didn't have a RBF option on it and there wasn't anything I could do as I never wanted to import it to an app with such a feature. At a point, while waiting, I forgot about the pending transaction. The day it finally confirmed, it was like I was hallucinating. I had to stare at my phone for minutes before it dawned on me I wasn't day dreaming.

Yeah, as others might have experience freedom, maybe from restrictions to their government. But as majority of us here, we have now financial freedom. At least that's what Bitcoin brings to me. I'm not a big time holder or whale, I just accumulate as much as I can and experience multiple bull runs already. So I made a good profit and from that profit around, make a U-turn, create business for passive income.

And you just simply repeat that process, it might be tough to be a long term holder or long term accumulation phase. But at the end of it all, it's going to be worth it as you will have the financial freedom and buy things that you couldn't afford before. And so your life improves together with your family.

For me, when I first got to know Bitcoin - I worked and was paid via Bitcoin but still in dollars. Bitcoin makes it easier for me and the company to deal with salaries, it's faster and doesn't require large costs because the company and I are in different countries.

Apart from that, Bitcoin also plays an important role for me as an investment, maybe not only me but other people out there or members here feel that Bitcoin provides huge benefits related to investment.

This is the most common answer among all of us, even myself, because it helped me financially and also got me to know about finance, as we know that from the start we are just spending and spending, so it made me aware of my finances. Also, Bitcoin has given me experience with those things that I wasn't able to do, like eating at expensive restaurants and buying those stuff that we couldn't afford. With this opportunity, we should maximize it and learn more from it so that we can utilize its uses and take advantage of it.

The only time I felt a total control over my funds is only with Bitcoin, and it gives me that freedom and investment opportunity that comes with ease. I can invest with just as little amount of money as $20 and scale it up if compared investment into gold and the real estate that requires bigger amount of money. Furthermore, I can travel around the world with my money without no restrictions as to how much I should carry about, and nothing gives joy than that.

I need BTC same as dollar currency I want to withdraw BTC same as money from ATM machine in my country. It will be top currency if it achieved target same as mentioned. I really need BTC in my account instead of dollars. Always remember that it will be future currency of all banks in few years. Some countries restrictions done about this but I need it really because of too many benefits in its transaction. I am thinking if BTC is ready to usable in my country through banks or retailer shops what would be the other alt coins? How it will be excited if same things done in our country. What will be my expression when I buy groceries from market then retailer ask me give your bitcoin account.

To be honest, my purpose in choosing bitcoin is profit, seeking financial improvement more than any other purpose. And as you said, many people will talk about the freedom, privacy and decentralization that bitcoin brings. But I'm pretty sure that up to 99% of investors choose bitcoin for profit, for money without any assets or tools to help them do that.

That's why I always say, if bitcoin has no ability to generate profits and is only used as currency, how many people will use and stick with it until now?

To me, bitcoin means wealth that can be achieved through risk and time. Being that is not an easy venture many lost while other gain from bitcoin. Bitcoin can only be merited when you have proper understanding of it. If you come across people that are living well from bitcoin,  it will entice you to invest even without proper knowledge.

At first what do you think bitcoin is all about, because if you have known the important of Bitcoin you will not ask a random question concerning Bitcoin again secondly you have to understand the importance of Bitcoin and why Bitcoin is being into a existence before you come into bitcoin talk, from everyone understanding bitcoin is a digital currency that have to do on it form without government pressure and the government control, it is a digital fund that stand on its own without the control of government as I said initially.

The objective of Bitcoin is to make life easier for intercontinental transfer of fund and also for better investment and the acceleration of the investment in different dimensions, many other people here have their own evolution and theories of Bitcoin based on their own understanding of meaning of Bitcoin and the functionalities of Bitcoin, so everyone have it concept to render as a definition of Bitcoin from its own perspective.

For me, bitcoin is the key to a brighter future. I am actually struggling in life before I came to know bitcoin, but when I started learning and eventually engage myself in bitcoin investment and activities, honestly, it brings a lot of incredible changes in my life, and hopefully in the future. Although bitcoin is a lot risky and quite complicated at the start, but learning and trusting it has always been worth the efforts and time. That’s the reason why even if I do suffer from losses at some point due to some wrong decisions with bitcoin, but I believe I need to be hopeful instead because I see great potentials in bitcoin that will definitely make my life changed and improved.

While bitcoin is a good investment and a good currency, bitcoin at the same time is a good motivation for me. Because of bitcoin, I get to be more patient and be more responsible of my finances. And because of bitcoin, I realized that if I can’t see opportunities on hand, then I should be the one to look for the opportunities as time is always valuable so I can start working with my goals in bitcoin.

There's no shame for buying Bitcoin to earn because every people want to be rich.

I believe there are still people who will use Bitcoin even if it has no ability to earn, even not as big as what we see right now and instead of hold it, they only use when they want trade or exchange for privacy purpose.

BTC is like a rebel in the finance world, giving people a shot at financial freedom outside the usual rules. It's like digital cash with a side of sticking it to the system

The only time I felt a total control over my funds is only with Bitcoin, and it gives me that freedom and investment opportunity that comes with ease. Good to hear. Bitcoin's appeal lies in its accessibility, allowing for small-scale investments and the flexibility to move funds globally without traditional restrictions. It's like having a passport for your money, offering a sense of financial control and opportunity

Bitcoin guarantees self custody of one's assets and investment. Bitcoin represents wealth or assets mobility in the sense that one can move with their assets from one place to another as long as they have access to the private key or seed phrase to their wallets which I can call a safe because that is what it does as it holds or keeps ones assets safely. Without anybody knowing the value of their wealth only if the owners discloses it by themselves.

To me, BTC means financial freedom where money is no surprise. Most of the people like this Bitcoin, and they only invest in BTC to earn more money. I have been able to earn good money from here because I have invested more money from my little money, that's why I love Bitcoin the most. Bitcoin is a powerful currency that has gained popularity worldwide as a store of value.

Just like others it's freedom and opportunity. Bitcoin had opened a lot of opportunity for me to earn profits and realization from my financial mistakes. Learning about bitcoin helped me for a lot of time, and teach me how to be financially responsible. Acquiring the financial freedom is what I think the greatest I achieved using bitcoin, bitcoin is an asset that I won't forget for a lifetime. No asset will be compared on how bitcoin help me in my over all life.

I wonder how am I now if bitcoin didn't exist? I maybe a different person now compared

Due to the price volatility, I think it is too difficult for anyone to consistently make a profit from investing every month.
I'm not sure if you can really make a profit every month, but so far I haven't been able to make that kind of profit every month because of price volatility. Sometimes the price rises high in one month, while the price falls and corrects in the following month, it makes the value of the total investment fluctuate which is unlikely to make the holder consistently make profits.

Bitcoin in concept is a decentralized currency, but in practice bitcoin tends to be considered an investment asset that allows investors to get returns in both the short and long term. Of course, many people have changed their fate after getting to know Bitcoin and they have reached the top level, but that is not the main purpose of bitcoin's birth.

Bitcoin guarantees self custody of one's assets and investment.
It sounds like bitcoin is some kind of insurance company or hedge fund.

Is bitcoin insured in any way so that in case of unforeseen circumstances you will be compensated for losses? There are no guarantees of market value (price drops), and also that you will not lose seed phrases and backups of this.

Bitcoin represents wealth or assets mobility in the sense that one can move with their assets from one place to another as long as they have access to the private key or seed phrase to their wallets which I can call a safe because that is what it does
Almost the same function is performed by a bank card or online banking, where to access the “safe” you need to enter a PIN code or password.

as it holds or keeps ones assets safely. Without anybody knowing the value of their wealth only if the owners discloses it by themselves.
Holding a bank card in your hands, you won’t understand what the balance is until the owner tells you.

I'd have to go with the popular understanding that Bitcoin, gives freedom from the shackles of centralized fiat currencies in the world, you can carry out your Bitcoin p2p transaction with another person who has a crypto wallet, without any third party interference. In my country our local fiat currency is depreciating everyday, and people's money that they've saved in the bank for a long term have drastically devalued, the same amount is still in the bank, but it's now valued far lower than it's worth 2 years ago, with Bitcoin the value will keep increasing. So again Bitcoin, is one of the best investments that I can invest in, because it a valuable asset that has the potential to keep increasing in value as the years goes by.

Trading Bitcoin in countries where Bitcoin is legal is very easy to trade in Bitcoin currency. The freedom to earn Bitcoin is different. But Bitcoin is not legal in countries like ours, we have to do Bitcoin transactions by ignoring their law and order or government. We cannot openly buy and sell anything with Bitcoin. Maybe if we consider it in this direction, of course if bitcoin is legal we can do bitcoin transactions independently. But even though Bitcoin is illegal in our country, we are not facing any difficulty in doing Bitcoin transactions because law enforcement or the government is not that strict. However, if Bitcoin is legal in the country, it is expected to get a different opportunity.

Bitcoin for me ain't just numbers on a screen. It's freedom to chase dreams without money stress, a future piggy bank waiting to be tapped, and even a way to buy cool stuff right now. But like any adventure, it's got its ups and downs. Prices bounce like crazy, rules are still figuring themselves out, and losing your keys is like losing your money forever. So do your research, invest smart, and hold tight! This Bitcoin train might just take you to freedom city, but remember, it's a risk ride! ✌️

What Bitcoin means to me is:
Bitcoin is Digital Gold because it can be used to store assets without worrying about the price losing or falling in the long term. The price of Bitcoin has increased dramatically since its launch to the public in 2009, due to its limited supply (21 million coins), many people predict that the price of Bitcoin will continue to rise over time. Recently, confidence in Bitcoin has increased, large institutional investors have begun to consider Bitcoin as an asset that can protect against market volatility and inflation.

Bitcoin is one of the most valuable assets today because enthusiasts are willing to exchange Bitcoin for goods or services and are even willing to exchange it for cash. Bitcoin is also a global currency because it can be used anywhere without country restrictions, anyone who has Bitcoin can send money across countries without having to use an intermediary, the process is very fast and doesn't cost much.

Bitcoin is both currency and investment tool for me.
It is also my way to save up my money so that I would avoid on spending my earnings on unnecessary items, or prevent me from overspending.
Due to the high transaction fee whenever I want to cash out or convert my Bitcoin into cash when I want to buy something the fee from transaction is my best reminder to hold it.
And wait for my cash or salary instead of using my investment to buy it.

Bitcoin is financial freedom for me. To be honest, it's not about Bitcoin alone; cryptocurrency gives me financial freedom. I can spend my crypto worldwide in various ways now. The Bitcoin goal was to create a p2p decentralised money transfer system that we are taking advantage of. Also, Bitcoin has become an investment opportunity from which I can make money. So Bitcoin makes my life easier than before. We can work at home and receive payments from all over the world.

And that is why a lot of people have give up along the line. But if the person have the proper understanding of the value of bitcoin they will do anything possible just to hold it. And I have come to understand that starting first is not the issue but how you finish well.

There are thousands of people that started but all of them have failed to keep up with the whole thing. And that is why I am gladly taking my time to understand things I feel am lacking and I am making sure that I am learning well because I see and hear what most of the traders usually advise people to learn before starting anything bitcoin. And the way have picked interest i will definitely make some cash out of it.

BTC means Bitcoin, a digital cryptocurrency that is decentralized (haha just kidding), it provides us freedom, and knowledge of the financial world because by knowing the true potential of BTC, we come to know about the dark reality of banks and how they are playing with our money. I don't know about you but I consider it a harsh reality and think that it's not how things should work.

For me BTC is on top, I did not make a good profit either I am trading or holding, I did not make a good profit in any crypto but only in BTC, and that's why I trust it that in the long run, it can make me good money. Besides all that I am not a big user of anonymity, but I praise decentralization and all of the features it provides us.

Until now i still feel that bitcoin for myself is only an investment aspect (for myself) because after all, even though many people say that this is one of the legal means of payment or indeed as another aspect but for myself personally bitcoin is still only an investment tool and support for myself to make my financial life better.

Indeed, for this financial freedom is a very important thing and I am starting to realize that even though it has only been a few years but it is still not too late for me to improve my condition and be in bitcoin because in the end it is all about the decisions and beliefs we have and until now I am still confident in bitcoin so I will still continue to be in bitcoin and buy while I can afford to get it.

Bitcoin for me only mean one thing, profits. There is no other profitable investment in crypto other than bitcoin.

However, bitcoin could also mean retirement, which will only be possible if you continue to DCA and accumulate maximum amount of bitcoin so you can completely benefit it when retirement comes. When it happens, you will not worry anymore on what to spend but on how to spend them for you so you can live your life the way you want it to be. And by that time, bitcoin will hit probably a million cost, as long as the demand for bitcoin never stops.

Before asking others, what Bitcoin mean to yourself? Show it to others first, don't only expect people's opinion.
Bitcoin is surely a freedom, it is decentralized. But if some countries still make a restriction, it is related to the laws and regulation on the countries. I think we have no rights to intervene the countries. Just let them change it themselves when they have realized that Bitcoin is something useful and has a big advantages to any people in the world.

By the way, I think I have the same perception with most people about Bitcoin. I think Bitcoin is our future, it is the media to multiply our wealth. Having Bitcoin as a digital assets will enable us to expect earning good amount of money in the future.

If yes then you need to search around here, I came across similar topic and questions.
I don't mean to make you sad but you must use the search option to filter out topics before creating another same topic.
I think the OP clearly understood what Bitcoin is all about just as much of us here do. Rather, he is interested to know what different individuals could think about it(Bitcoin) such as per views exempting what the Coin is primarily invented for.
You know... An advance thinking about this Bitcoin industry could attract advance enhancements at same time.

BTC means everything to me. It's a chance to get freedom from the corrupt monetary system backed by banks. It's also hope for the world to become more decentralized by removing its dependence from centralized institutions. Having a deflationary cryptocurrency is the best thing that's ever happened to us. Instead of having money that will depreciate over time, we would have something that gives us greater purchasing power in the future. There are no banks, governments, or other third-parties that could manipulate the supply to their own will. It's a dream come true.

Unfortunately, there are powerful forces that are doing everything they can to try to stop Bitcoin from achieving its full potential. "Wall Street" and mainstream banks are now heavily involved in BTC, setting a dangerous precendent for the cryptocurrency in the long run. Many people are cheering the SEC for approving Bitcoin spot ETFs, without seeing the "bigger picture". It's all an attempt to prevent self-custody of BTC by owning a huge portion of the supply (if not all of it). Not to mention, some banks are contributing money to the development of Bitcoin Core. Thank God, Satoshi made BTC an open source cryptocurrency. If he didn't do that in the first place, BTC would've been doomed already.

It is a technology advancement that has got the ability to change the financial infrastructure if accepted worldwide. For now it is slowly growing in a gradual manner and for now it serves as a multiple usage token which have got more importance as an investment asset than a medium of transaction for which it is being innovated.

For me:
  • Bitcoin is an asset.
  • Also, Bitcoin is a currency. Bitcoin is a new technology introduced to us.
  • Bitcoin is a new way for us Average Joes to make a transaction without a 3rd party.
  • Bitcoin is an opportunity. Opportunity for us to earn more just by having a computer, internet connection, and knowledge.
As much as I want to share only positives on it, I'll share also some negatives like:
  • Bitcoin gives also another way of scamming newbie investors.
  • Bitcoin also gave hackers an idea of how they can scam other people.

Well, Bitcoin helped me many times, and all in positive ways, but let's also think that Bitcoin is only a tool thus, scammers can use it to scam people. I believe that Bitcoin has allowed us to earn money in different ways. I believe that some people are like me that the reason why they are investing now is because of Bitcoin. I just hope that OP will read all of our posts here in his created thread because TBH, many threads like this's been created in the past.

In my opinion, Bitcoin investment is a smart investment according to current developments

To me, bitcoin is like a companion, where it not only helps me get the things that I want and need but also helps me find another opportunity. Because of bitcoin, I get to discover new things and develop new skills that help me a lot and that I could use in different fields. Bitcoin also makes me independent from my parents; I don't need to ask for money anymore when I'm in college. Its self-fulfilment is because I can do things on my own accord. I learned to become more indefensible and find things that could bring me income, and it all came thanks to bitcoin because it gave me the urge or hunger to keep on finding what I'm good at and where I can earn money. Even today, I still do bitcoin stuff and will never let go of it as long as bitcoin exists, so I hope bitcoin will still be around.

Bitcoin, no doubt has brought joy and happiness to the financial institution and payment industry. It reduced the excessiveness and oversight of the government and put almost an end to the disparities that we often experience with countries in terms of payments and transfers where some countries like the US will have all the opportunities of financial transactions while many others will be disenfranchised in this. We are all one before Bitcoin and that singular fact can't just be substituted for anything.

However, the following few points are the reasons why Bitcoin is important to me.

1. It is decentralised.
2. It brought a better means for ordinary people to earn easily and in big ways.
3. It gives you the opportunity to be your asset manager all by yourself.
4. It puts an end to the segregation in the payment industry (across the border).
5. Low and faster means of sending money across borders in comparison to the old known ways like Wire transfer, Wester Union, Money Gram, and the like.

More are to be done though.

There's actually so much I see to BTC which has created it's impression that I have seen to be what it actually means to me of which freedom as granted from it been decentralized is one very important benefits everyone who's ever used Bitcoin enjoyed using it, Bitcoin has provided every of it user with a good amount of unlimited opportunities aside just been decentralized which could mean financial freedom online with almost no restrictions, several opportunities which includes jobs and other better payment alternetives and many others which I may not be able to list at the moment.

The freedom Bitcoin has brought through it's decentralized Blockchain technology is one which can't be over looked or spoken less about across the universe because it has created a form of universality in financial transactions with almost no limits especially in countries where it's allowed.

Looking at Bitcoin as a digital gold or coin, we could probably say that it is just digital money but in my opinion, Bitcoin is great as an investment, for right now Bitcoin just means an investment because this is probably the best investment in my opinion that you could do even though for most people it is actually really risky for the most part. With the volatile market price in the market, I believe that it is really suitable as an investment not just something as digital money that we could use, It might be even better at this rate to use it only as an investment compared to what we are going to use it as actual money because there are still a lot of problem with it like networks, fees, etc.

Also, it might be a good way for freedom what I mean here is comparing it to fiat where it is controlled by the government, we have to deal with inflation where the government actually is just the one that causing it since they could easily just print money whenever they want to. Bitcoin could be a way to escape inflation in a way. As an investment, this is probably the best thing that happened when I just learned about Bitcoin I learned to manage my financial, save, and invest.

Bitcoin is an electronic payment system or for me it is a digital currency that I can make transactions between myself and other parties without needing another party and I can do it at any time without any downtime for service. This is the freedom that Bitcoin users get because it cannot be regulated and controlled like fiat currency.
I own Bitcoin, I control Bitcoin. Fiat currencies can't get that.

Because living in a country that has regulations regarding the use of Bitcoin with restrictions on its use as a digital currency for making payments such as what applies in El Salvador, for me Bitcoin is the greatest innovation inherited by Satoshi which I use as a long-term investment asset to hedge against fiat .

Bitcoin is just like gold for me, a precious one after gaining a high market value. I invest in Bitcoin believing that I can make more money from this. Bitcoin was just nothing 12 years ago but now, many people are crazy about this and even use the name to scam. Such popularity brings something special to all the investors and holders, and sometimes it is more than gold in terms of profit gain.

Now, I have changed my mind, instead of buying gold, I just buy Bitcoin. I consider now Bitcoin to be more precious than Gold. Many people do the same just like what I did and the good thing is that even poor people can invest which is likely impossible for Gold.

Yes other people will say Bitcoin is financial freedom because they can fully control their assets so that's what they want as well as privacy even though transaction data can be seen by anyone but it is difficult to identify.

For me Bitcoin is the right tool to invest in the long term, maybe it can be said that in each cycle it can yield higher if you look at the previous history, why do I say that because I believe that bitcoin will change the world economy and people will continue to use bitcoin as a storage asset or transaction that they use for other purposes.

It is a business for me. For some people it is an investment, for some people it is just fun hobby, for some people it is their job. For me it is a business, as in bitcoin is like a company I work in, well not really bitcoin itself more like crypto world, and I feel like it is a business that I am the employee of. Meaning that if the crypto world goes south, then I am not going to be able to actually make anything decent, and that would not be all that easy for me to handle in the end.

This is why I always want bitcoin to do better, in fact during periods when bitcoin doesn't do well and it is in bear period (or just not in bull) I usually make a little bit less, even finding signature campaigns could become harder during that time, it impacts even the smallest thing like that.

My perspective towards Bitcoins keeps on changing if I would be honest. At first I thought bitcoins are like digital form or currency or an asset which has a value. But after knowing and researching about it more, I found out that Bitcoins have huge capabilities to grow big and are limited in numbers. Hence I strategically planned to invest on Bitcoins and currently I think it as a very high valuable asset. Through Bitcoins I have really made great money and have fulfilled some of my minor dreams. Hence Bitcoins really have a special place in my heart.

That's what it has become now even more than it's first original purpose by the creator itself. Bitcoin was actually designed as a currency that gives the common man freedom from everything that has to do with the central system but as every good project has alternative good purposes so did the feature of it to be used as an investment means did trend and now I can even say most person do prefer just holding their coins rather than spending it as a currency and I think I will class myself under the category too

Bitcoin to me is a wealth acquisition strategy that represents a long-term investment.I don't care what people think about it,I use it as an investment asset through the "dip and hold" strategy. It means buying BTC when its price experiences a temporary decline or "dip" in value and then holding onto it for an extended period, typically with the expectation that its price will eventually recover and potentially increase in value over time.I consistently buy bitcoins during price dips, with the goal of minimizing losses and accumulating more coins over time. However, I exercise caution and risk only a small portion of my portfolio, acknowledging the uncertainty of the future. While I believe in the potential for significant returns, I recognize that realizing significant profits may require patience, as significant appreciation may take months or even years to materialize. Overall, Bitcoin represents a calculated investment choice that aligns with my risk tolerance and long-term financial goals.

Although Bitcoin is now illegal in many countries.

Bitcoin can be many things depending on how we look at it. Sometimes this perspective can change over time. An investment instrument 5 years ago, a valid currency 5 years later, or something we want to use and popularize today. So Bitcoin means many things.

As we get older, our perspective on life changes and we learn to look at it from different windows. Everyone may have different answers and perspectives to this question I answered today. Maybe that's what makes Bitcoin beautiful.

Everyone will consider bitcoin as a different thing because of their thoughts, knowledge and experience. I think bitcoin is a chance of enhancing your earning ability and increase your freedom to use your money without worrying about inflation.

All of those who once had troubles in their life due to lack of money are considering bitcoin as a great opportunity to solve all economical issues. In short bitcoin has many advantages but for those who can understand it, manage it and can wait to hold it until bitcoin gives them huge return.

Bitcoin provide freedom because no one can rely completely on one source so those who already get income can easily invest in bitcoin to make the value of their money increase.

For me, Bitcoin is a revolution that basically means financial freedom because Bitcoin isn't a financial asset that we can get rich by just investing. Bitcoin is a great asset that can be used all over the world without being affiliated with any central institution, allows international money transfer at low costs, allows money to be sent quickly at low cost, can be used as an investment and allows everyone to easily access money digitally in today's conditions. It is invention. In addition, blockchain technology, which entered our lives with Bitcoin, is something that has contributed to the important developments in our lives not only as a financial asset but also in technological terms.

To summarize in a few words, Bitcoin for me means meaning freedom, technological innovation, financial freedom and transparency in the best way and together.

As far as i remember the beginning days when my friends used to talk about bitcoin sitting besides me i used to feel their talks so boring and when days passes after another i also started to take interest in bitcoin and started to learn about it and to be very honest i am still learning dear because i belive a person can never full of knowledge and the one who says i know everything is like a sparrow who just sip water from the big sea which in return he knows nothing.... Actually This thing i come to know from my religion.

On the other Hand, bitcoin is the First digital currency i bought for the long term investment and as i aforementioned about my friends they guided me where i needed them To be very honest i did not know how to buy this they guide me a very newbies steps well obviously it was my first time experience of buying digital currency so i really did not know how thing work here in crypto space so whenever i got confused/nervous they help me to overcome it but i also try my best to do my own research before asking them and when i feel i can not solve this problem then i used to approch them. So this is my mini step in into the crypto space.

As easy as it sounds, buying the dip can be a problematic decision for investors as they often crack their heads on when is the right time to buy the dip. This strategy is not risk free and no one wants to lose money, you can use technical analysis to determine when is the right time to buy. But for newbies, I suggest you DCA instead and hodl your bitcoins for long term.

BTC, to me, is primarily an investment vehicle. Given the limited opportunities to invest my additional cash, I turn to the crypto market, and BTC is a significant part of that strategy. It's not just about diversifying my portfolio; I see it as a hedge against inflation. In a world where traditional investments can be unpredictably affected by economic fluctuations, BTC offers a unique kind of security and potential for growth.

What can we discuss from your post because everyone will try with their respective perspectives with a narrative about the meaning of Bitcoin in their lives?
Bitcoin is quite reliable as an investment asset and that is especially in my country because we are not accustomed to using bitcoin as a means of transaction even though there are several online stores that provide services.
Bitcoin is able to reach the value storage stage so that our money is not depreciated and buying Bitcoin will be far more able to provide a sense of security for the money we have in the long run. In addition to freedom there are many things that make us believe in Bitcoin and this we get as long as we are inside the system because if it is outside it seems difficult for us to understand.

I think Bitcoin is one of the most profitable long-term investments among all cryptocurrencies. Moreover, Bitcoin is the most secure and anonymous currency. It is the safest way to transact. And Bitcoin is the greatest cryptocurrency and the king of crypto. And I have invested long term in most bitcoins and it gives me huge returns. And I think Bitcoin is the whole cryptocurrency and the greatest invention of this century.

For me, BTC is an investment tool that offers greater returns than keeping your money in a bank. When I was younger, I used to deposit money in the bank as a safety net in case of emergencies. However, due to inflation, I stopped doing so and started investing my money in BTC and other cryptocurrencies.

For me bitcoin is only an investment asset because in the country where I live bitcoin is not supported for other processes. Apart from Bitcoin having advantages in terms of freedom, we can also make plans to reach the stage of financial freedom in the future, because placing money in Bitcoin is the same as maintaining the value of the money we have to be more productive. Bitcoin is also individual when we run it so that other people do not need to know the amount of assets we have and thus the level of security is much more guaranteed.

Bitcoin gives hope to many people who want to seek financial freedom and bitcoin can also provide maximum profits when someone makes long-term investments. This advantage is what makes many people confident about Bitcoin's journey even though the level of risk is also large, but if someone knows how to run it then this risk can be minimized very easily.

Everyone has certainly its own definition about bitcoin. However, for me, it means the key to wealth and financial freedom. I always believe there is huge potentials in bitcoin that will not be only here for short term but definitely for long term goals. So if you are willing to take the risk and be responsible enough to manage its current and future risks, then there’s always high chances to be successful with bitcoin. The process may always not safe and smooth, but definitely the end rewards are always worth of our risk and hardwork.

In my case it's freedom. Freedom to do what I want with my money.
I want to gamble - fine. I want to take it with me to another country when I travel - fine. I don't want the government to know how much money I have -fine. I want someone to inherit my money without having to pay anything to the government (which IMO they shouldn't because it's my money and I want them to have it, not anybody else) -fine again.
The deal is, I worked hard for my money and I want to spend it the way I decide to. I don't need anybody telling me what I can or cannot do with the wealth nobody helped me to earn.

To me, Bitcoin is potentially the ultimate weapon against financial corruption. It is transparent, public and too decentralized to be hacked, faked or maliciously changed. And if the governments could see this, they would make Bitcoin legal tender all over the world. But they would rather hang on to that which they know instead of adopting something new and improved. Freedom is obviously the number 1 reason that any Bitcoiner will tell you. And "be your own bank" is a severely underrated concept that more people should think about more seriously.

You can do anything with bitcoin, governments and centralized authorities cannot control it. Governments and centralized authorities can only regulate you or regulate you, meaning you cannot fully spend your bitcoins in certain countries if they prohibit it. But yes, bitcoin is freedom and that means you can do anything with it as long as it doesn't violate the rules of a particular region or country.

Bitcoin for me is just an investment asset, I can't spend bitcoin on anything especially because my country prohibits it. I can spend bitcoins in other countries, but so far I am not prohibited from investing and trading them.

At a point, Bitcoin seems to be a form of followership that its users embrace according to their feelings towards the technology,  because all Bitcoin users have they various reasons and approaches to Bitcoin while we have the three main reasons why individuals adopt Bitcoin.
1 Bitcoin means a form of electronic currency
2: Bitcoin means an investment
3: Bitcoin as a technology
All the three always align into one and at a point, anyone that have Bitcoin will likely use Bitcoin as three of the main features, even though many focus on the investment aspect of Bitcoin,  only a few are interested in the technical aspect of Bitcoin.

The step you have taken is a very wise step for certain reasons which are quite reasonable and apart from that, saving money in any bank will not provide more benefits for yourself except for security during an emergency situation. However, in Bitcoin you will definitely find different things like what you have done through banks before, because you can expect better profits through the investment sector in Bitcoin. In other words, Bitcoin is more suitable and very friendly to everyone if everyone wants to make long-term investments through it without having to rely on anyone, including banks.

Actually, I expect and think a lot about BTC.
However, what I can optimize right now is BTC as a very valuable investment asset for me. Because this is the first investment I have made, previously, the word investment could be said to be too heavy for me before getting to know Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. So, there is no doubt that Bitcoin as a commodity asset complies with regulations in my country, I really like it and hope for it. Even though I also hope that Bitcoin can become a means of payment, it is still not possible in my country. So yes, for now, Bitcoin is a valuable investment asset only.

Oh yes, apart from that, Bitcoin is also really exciting because it can change my mindset about the vast digital world, which continues to develop and triggers an increasing number of developing online assets. So we are not only stuck with the daily work of having to be in the office to work.

It could be in the form of a good retirement, or just a highly profitable investment that exceeds other reliable physical investments. However, while this bring so much profits for us bitcoin enthusiasts, it can also be a worst nightmare for those who suddenly invest in bitcoin without acquiring knowledge and basic information. So investing at a high caution is still the key.

It would have been hard for someone like me knowing my economic background to have any kind of investment but introduction to Bitcoin has helped me to have an opportunity to have an investment that I can work towards, something that can secure my future. Bitcoin is opportunity to me, an opportunity that I am lucky to have, an opportunity to many other people who will take it too.

Although I am new to the bitcoin journey, I have not had any fun with this bitcoin yet I have seen many people change their lives by making money from this bitcoin. If you believe you cannot buy BTC at its price now, what makes you thing you would be able to afford it in the future. The growth of the BTC network is very fast, and with big events happening, like the approval of spot etf's in the U.S. market and the BTC halving, so if history repeats itself, BTC price is going to rise in price and value, which makes it almost impossible for you to buy. Rather than waiting for the future, start buying now through dca strategy with the little you have.

For me bitcoin meant, especially, asking myself many questions about how money and the financial world work. There are many things that are in front of our eyes every single day but we are too busy, or maybe we simply don't understand, to wonder why they are the way they are. The more I was searching info about bitcoin, the more I was asking myself more and more questions and then you start realizing how to escape the rat race. And the best thing is that this kind of knowledge can be passed on your family.

I have assumed that Bitcoin will not be the same as other crypto assets and other investment assets, even though Bitcoin itself can also be used as a long-term investment for the future of everyone who is convinced of the goodness of Bitcoin that can be felt by each of them. Because when someone starts to believe in investing their money by buying Bitcoin at any time, including retirement, someone must also have other money that can prevent them from releasing the Bitcoin they invested at that time when there is an emergency situation that they must resolve immediately.

Bitcoin entails a lot,its not just about freedom but bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, and a decentralized one at that,Launched in 2009, Bitcoin is the world's largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization.Bitcoin is a digital currency which operates free of any central control or the oversight of banks or governments. It also serves as a means of payment amongst traders and vendors who are into business.
Bitcoin as well has improved the world in finance and even financial technology,The journey of Bitcoin continues to encourage transactions transparency and shape the future of finance and technology.
But despite all these, bitcoin is very conplex and one needs to be in the right frame of mind to go into it.Someone needs the understanding, the right information and indulgence for it.

Yeah, I guess some folks have found freedom from oppressive governments or other restrictions before.  But for most of us here nowadays, it's more about financial freedom.  That's what bitcoin's given me anyway.

Sure, I got into crypto later than a lot of people.  And no, I don't have one of them Lambos or anything.  But I'll tell you what - finally being able to pay off some debts and sleep better at night? That's my little taste of freedom.  Bitcoin did that for me.  It gave me hope during some real tough times these past few years.  And Ill always be grateful for that.

For me, it's an investment to a better future for myself and probably to the family that I will build in that future. Bitcoin has been a big help to me ever since and if it wasn't for bitcoin, I would still probably be wondering how will I ever afford the things that I only look at the front of the store, with bitcoin and the profit that it's provided, I'm able to buy those stuff whenever I wish to buy and I don't worry about the spending because I know that I can just reinvest through DCA and at the long run, I would be making more profit than what I've spent throughout the hodling journey, it's safe to say for me that bitcoin changed my life, I don't know if it's for the better or for the worse but from what I'm looking at, I think it changed me for the better.

Well for me it was mostly helpful.
During the pandemic I was stuck in Taiwan for a long time.
At some point my credit card expired and the only way to receive and send money was crypto, and that went on for quite a while.
Thankfully in Taiwan, unlike in Japan, there have been plenty of btc atms where you could buy and occasionally also sell btc.
Sure the fees have been quite bad but since I had no other choice it was better than nothing.
I also did some p2p deals there but it wasn't easy to find people to trade with.

Without btc and crypto in general the whole situation would have been much more complicated and also expensive for me. Of course I could also use a service like western union or whatever but then you always depends on other people and opening times.

With btc I could be paid in crypto and convert it into cash without a lot of hassle.  ;)

For me Bitcoin is a very promising digital business opportunity for now and the future. Bitcoin also gives me the freedom to send money anytime and anywhere without any restrictions on working hours and can receive money easily and quickly via the internet network, the process of exchanging it to fiat money is very easy and fast. Of course Bitcoin has a very interesting side, that's the reason most people really want to have Bitcoin in their Wallet, all the advantages and conveniences that Bitcoin offers make it even more popular. When compared with traditional online payment mechanisms and mechanisms operated by decentralized authorities, Bitcoin is superior to fiat money.

Initially BTC for me was something that I could not have easily because every year its development was increasing, especially in the year where it ended its decline and that's what I felt in the bull market... although in the bear market I saw it was still high (for me) and it was impossible to have just 1 coin, even so let it pass they say there are still many roads to Rome.
And for me never give up on pursuing what I want, maybe at this time I don't have it yet but I'm sure with strong ability and determination I will get the results that are worth it.
There are many inspirations out there that teach me (indirectly) I see many successful people who start from a word MUSTAHIL and end up in a beautiful reality. And now I believe in my ability to pursue it.

You can still buy bitcoin as much as you can afford and will eventually store enough bitcoin for future.

Hi everyone,

I would love to share my thoughts on this. My views are influenced by Saifedean Ammous book's The  Bitcoin Standart, that I just finished recently.

To me, Bitcoin represent a door to economic freedom, where it is possible to accumulate wealth and transfer it to the next generation.
It represent a passive way to stand up against government and to say : ''You cant steal from anymore. You cant devalue my savings anymore. You cant make of me a slave anymore''.
Bitcoin, in some ways, represent a set of values that is useful to any person who aspire to be a good person in life : it is honnest, disciplined, transparent, uncorruptible and peaceful.
Also, I see Bitcoin as the People's money - there is no chef, no elite or privilege group - accessible for everyone and is free to be used, or not, as people decide.

Finally, to me, Bitcoin represent a powerful ideology that can help people to finally open their eyes, see things they never dare to look at, be critical thinker about it, and take action.

Please feel free to respond or expand on this so that I learn from anybody perspective !

Yes. The price of BTC can vary dramatically. But that's the beauty of it and what is certain is that BTC will quickly grow and develop. But from what we have noticed, there are still many banks in several places that are still unfriendly towards Bitcoin transactions, but I think this will fade over time.

I see making money by investing in BTC is not too complicated as long as you are patient and wait it will be a good investment pattern and maybe even aggressive if the results are long term as well as bringing convenience to trading of course.

Bitcoin is changing the way money works. Speculating is fun and rewarding when you expect to make a lot of money. The intellectual task of navigating its rough waters is, of course, something I enjoy.

Making well-informed choices is very important. People who have lost money on Bitcoin show that it has two sides. Its important to have a deep knowledge of how markets work. If you want to be successful at Bitcoin trading, you need to know what you're doing, be patient, and plan ahead strategically. Real risks and rewards.

When people support Bitcoin, they should also recognize how complicated it is, not just its wins. Market changes caused by fear need resilience. I do best when I take an eager but skeptical approach.

You are right, that is definitely something that would be very good to know and very good to do. I understand that it may take some time but that is what we should be approaching it with and I think it ends up with something better. I get that we are not going to end up with a good chunk of profit all that easily, but we are going to be free to do whatever we want and that is the power of bitcoin. It has allowed me to build the life I want to build, and this really made everything better for me.

There are of course some situations where you are still not allowed to do, and there are still some risks because of it but at the end of the day we are talking about something that would benefit everyone all the same in the end.

For now, bitcoin is my biggest source of income. Well, not actually bitcoin but the forum itself, but I also see to it that I never fail on accumulating and storing bitcoin on my portfolio as I believe that bitcoin’s value in the future will become huge and massive that makes it an ideal retirement for everyone. Bitcoin is risky and quite complicated and complex, but if you have the high motivation to engage with bitcoin, you will do everything just to make it happen so you won’t keep regretting in the end.
Bitcoin should not be complicated for those people who regularly use internet. with a little bit of learning and studying bitcoin is pretty easy to understand. the risk factor is true I agree with you on that. but can be minimized with proper techniques.

You know man. it always feels so good to see how bitcoin is changing people's lives. and so this forum. Bitcoin is not just giving us freedom it is also empowering us and helping us solve our financial problems that we could've never solved with regular Fiat jobs.

Bitcoin has multiple use cases and it doesn't have to have a single meaning for an individual. It can be considered an investment asset, a decentralized way of storing your money, and a safe and private payment method that you can use without letting a centralized institution know where and how much money you've spent. So it can have multiple meanings and use cases for even a single individual.

For me, I see Bitcoin as an investment asset as a first because I know that keeping my funds in Bitcoin is much better than keeping them in my local fiat currency is vulnerable to inflation and a lot of other things and my money will also grow in value when stored in Bitcoin. It is also a good storage for your money because you don't need to disclose how much money you have as savings or anything when you are keeping it in Bitcoin instead of storing it with a traditional financial institution.

Bitcoin is a key to wealth and financial freedom.

Just like you, I also consider Bitcoin to be my wealth and financial freedom. Because using Bitcoin will allow me to be able to transact more freely wherever I want without having to worry about privacy and very high fees. It gives me complete control over the assets I own because I can transact them, store them, or sell them whenever I want directly from my bitcoin wallet.
It also gives me the potential to get high profits in the future, if I hold it for a long time in the next few years, because the price of Bitcoin is predicted to increase and investing in it can give you a profit.

All must have several views when talking and discussing the definition of bitcoin because for those of us who have high hopes for bitcoin will certainly consider this a blessing because this can be used as a reference to gain financial freedom or at least become one of the assets that is worth considering as an investment but on the other hand we must also be aware that there are still many people who think that this is a threat, scam and several other negative things because they do not like the existence of this bitcoin which makes them sensitive and will try to say that bitcoin is a very bad thing.

But whatever it is IMO we don't have to get hung up on what other people say because in the end when talking about bitcoin and the beliefs we have then we have to form beliefs and definitions of bitcoin according to what we understand and feel ourselves because in the end this determines your goal to be in bitcoin.

Bitcoin means a lot to me. But I couldn't buy them at right time. now it is very expensive. let see in future I would buy some bitcoin and gain financial freedom through it.
You are right in here. If we trace back its history, bitcoin price increase happens every year so if you see it expensive today, the more it will become expensive in the years to come. I guess there’s no perfect time to buy, because everyday is the right time to buy, so don’t wait for bitcoin price to go at its dip as there’s no guarantee when it will happen again. Instead, buy now even with a small amount of purchase. If you continue to do it with DCA consistently, your small amount of bitcoin will multiply until it reaches a significant amount to give you massive profits when bull run comes.

I am pretty sure "freedom" will be the most common answer here as that's the creator's intention in the first place..

Personally, Bitcoin means choice, financial freedom from middlemen and bureaucracy, investment etcetra...its honestly not a one word answer to define it as it's a multipurpose asset that can be used for several purposes.

Bitcoin is a breakthrough financial innovation and digital currency that represents a paradigm shift in the digital world.  Bitcoin is a decentralized digital currency that works on the block chain.  Bitcoin redefines the traditional financial system by giving individuals control over their own assets and transactions.  Before learning about Bitcoin, I had no idea that it was possible to have complete control over your money just through the air.

I have also felt this myself in my country where there is nothing that can be fully expected from the government even though they have promised in more words but there is no proof at all. Lies always come from humans because all humans definitely have that trait, although not all humans will want to use that trait in all aspects. So it is very common for the government to lie even though the people have to bear it at their own risk after believing what they said before.

Bitcoin is an innovation in technology. It came for some reason and is now being used as a multiple-usage asset. The value rise is the prime attraction, many say it as freedom, and with different terms. If we make a pool, we'll come to know that people are into bitcoin not because of the technology or the freedom it provides but for the earnings and the earning opportunities it has provided. In my understanding, it is an asset that has the ability to change one's life through its growth. This means a person who has bought bitcoin and is holding it will surely experience growth from the investment someday.

In my opinion Bitcoin represents a transformative force for the principles of decentralization, transparency and financial sovereignty.  Bitcoin is an easy way to break free from traditional financial systems and embrace a fully decentralized digital currency.  Moreover, the technology underlying bitcoin, blockchain, encourages innovation and empowers individuals to participate in peer-to-peer networks that transcend geographic boundaries.

Bitcoin for me is just a digital currency that is only for trading or investing, nothing more than that, I never dreamed that BTC could be used as a source of legal currency for the country or used as a legal means of shopping/exchange with goods.
This should be the case because there are many countries that see bitcoin only as an investment or trading asset and even in my country the dream of making it a legal currency is completely impossible. Moreover, we have a legal currency that is regulated in the constitution so making bitcoin a legal currency is very unlikely to happen.

Bitcoin really means something to me personally, of course this is from the point of view as I said above, the point is that Bitcoin currently has and is showing a good impact on the entire world community, that is what I see from the meaning of Bitcoin.
From a general understanding, almost many people benefit from bitcoin as long as they can carry out their investments correctly. Bitcoin is another source of income from the permanent jobs we have today and bitcoin is also one of the most impactful in achieving the stage of financial freedom.

Well, for me bitcoin is an alternative payment as well as an investment. However, this is different from other types of investment, because I feel that this is an investment that has great potential to increase the assets we own in a faster time than other investments. Apart from that, bitcoin is also different from altcoins, because the level of trust in bitcoin is much higher than other altcoins. However, I feel that this is a technology that can change a person's life for the better if utilized properly, or vice versa.

We cannot use Bitcoin with current features to adopt as a payment mean due to so many limitations. We love btc but it's doesn't mean that we ignore the drawbacks. Indeed Bitcoin is not created for this purpose. Suppose if only one country start total buying selling through btc them number of transaction per minutes will be exceed more than 20k and we know it will cause Btc gas to ATH and also low fee transaction will be stucked. further more for buying 1$ , you have to pay 10$ fee which is not acceptable.

However it is best payment solutions for overseas payment and best assets so far after gold and silver. We can keep our fund safe, secure with fast access of use anytime, anywhere.

BTC's transaction capacity is limited, because developers want to keep it that way. They can raise the block size instead of forcing people to move to the Lightning Network. Just increasing the block size a bit, could alleviate the "high fee issue" for a while. It must be done in a "balanced manner" to prevent Bitcoin from becoming centralized (as higher block sizes contribute to higher bandwidth/storage requirements for node operators). I guess this will never happen, especially when most investors consider Bitcoin to be "digital Gold".

At its current state, Bitcoin proves to be a good store of value. If you're looking for true "digital cash", I'd suggest you look elsewhere. Coins like Litecoin and Dash are great alternatives. No matter how BTC is used, we can all agree that its mere existence allows people to experience true financial freedom. The dream has always been to remove the need for a trusted third party, right? :D

Well, for me, it was partly freedom and partly hope. Freedom comes from the fact that, as bitcoin functions on a decentralized network, no one other than ourselves has power over our wallets, and the government has no say over it. Additionally, we may send transactions to any location in the world where Bitcoin is accepted without the requirement for currency conversions or foreign fees. Whether you choose to convert it to your home currency is entirely up to you.
I hope, as I believe bitcoin has the ability to provide financial services to the world's unbanked people. Also, I feel that bitcoin will provide us with hope for greater monetary inclusion and economic empowerment by giving us access to the global financial network.

I agree, bitcoin opens access to become free. It creates opportunities to be as much independent as possible. All you have to do is in your own hands. You don't have to rely on somebody else, you can make for a living all by yourself. And you can remain out of the system. I think bitcoin is a revolutionary asset and it is a response to the control which tightens agains modern people.

For me Freedom, Privacy, An unbelievable asset.
It may not be necessary to repeat what is meant by freedom, Satoshi Nakamat's reason for inventing Bitcoin is to free us from the custody of banks so that we can enjoy financial freedom. And now we understand it very well, as well as enjoy it.
I think that if financial freedom is not accompanied by privacy then that financial freedom cannot be called fully independent. Here too Bitcoin is not short of financial freedom and it also protects our privacy. Here just one wallet is needed for the transaction. However, how much you can protect your privacy depends on how privacy is handled.
And there is no other reason to call it an unbelievable asset, if we see that in the last 15 years it has gone from zero dollars to a trillion dollar asset in one go.

If this has to be achieved, I think the government of your nation should be totally in support of the existence of Bitcoin, I want you to understand that your government may not allow this because if they do, they will be losing because Bitcoin is centralized currency and does not accommodate fraudulent activities, no one has a personal control on the system, the system is being controlled by the collective decision of the system so the government does not encourage such idea, in the aspect of withdrawing bitcoin from the ATM machine, bitcoin is a digital current which can only be seen in figure, so such will only be possible if Bitcoin is been printed and made handy, my question is, don't you think that if bitcoin is made handy, it may be printed in excess and it's quality as a hedge of inflation may be conquered which is the plan of the government.

You can only get freedom when you control access to the private keys and/or seeds tied to your Bitcoin funds. Relying on centralized exchanges to store your coins, would be no different than trusting banks with your money. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people keep their BTC on centralized exchanges and/or wallet providers out of convenience. Bitcoin cannot achieve its full potential this way.

For a currency that was designed to "threaten" banks' very existence, I'd say it has failed. These big financial institutions still hold the power to manipulate the economy to their own benefit. Maybe someday our dreams will come true? :D

But. For ordinary people outside the crypt, yuitcoin is associated with new technologies, and for us with digital gold. The image of bitcoin is the biggest adoption that can be. On the contrary, now in the bull market we are going to new highs, after the adoption of ETFs.

What’s the difference between freedom and hope in a world of restriction? Basically the same thing, and that is what Bitcoin really is. Bitcoin brings freedom such that you do not have to be controlled by the government as usual. Some people do not understand the power that the bank and government holds; the bank can decide if you will have your money and can decide to decline a transaction you made. They may not do all of that but merely being able to do that is enough reason to resort to Bitcoin.

Of course, in this case there are many different opinions. For me personally, Bitcoin is like a large area of land where of course we can grow crops and we can plant plants or trees according to our abilities. If we plant lots of plants, we will also get a lot of profits and If we plant a few plants or trees, of course we will not make much profit and will certainly only make a small profit.

yes the point is that bitcoin for me is a good investment tool and of course we can invest in it with any capital and it also gives hope to everyone to make profits easily yes the point is that bitcoin helps the economy easily regardless of our status because it makes money by investing in BTC can be reached by all groups.

I see a lot of positive comments here which means Bitcoin is a good future asset. and of course for me BTC is a good side business.

I can't claim to say that bitcoin means something different to me from what it is really created for. I formally doubted bitcoin with all of my me when I heard it is a digital currency. I wondered what sort of currency could it possibly be with my illiteracy towards it that Such invention can be possible to exist or to be trusted. Times comes and goes that as the World keep to advance so also I develop my learning capacities and giving benefits of doubts towards things I never thought of their Possibilities to exist. Then the existence of bitcoin speculated beyond that dragged my attentions and I discovered that even my neighbors are confidently deep to the industry with the fact that they have invested their money and has been benefiting from to it according to its awareness potentials. This really made me felt like I was in the dark because my instincts at it wasn't convince able at all.
After much researches and consultations, I was convinced that it really exists as the rumour speculated that bitcoin is a decentralized and a self-custodial digital currency which can be used to make payments in replacement of the traditional currencies. Meanwhile it has a potential to provide its holder incomes meaning it can be Invested on to make profits with a volatile potentials which can also bring lost.

Bitcoin is most popular because of its anonymity of transactions.  Bank will not allow you to transact the Hughes amount amount while keeping your identity completely confidential. By bitcoin I see the source of my earning. I don't know what kind of change bitcoin has brought to anyone's life. But with bitcoin I can arrange my life in a different way. Because of bitcoin my life has changed beautifully. Bitcoin is now in almost every country.  But the use of Bitcoin is increasing day by day and it is expected that Bitcoin can have a good position in the world.

To me Bitcoin is a strong asset and also as you mentioned freedom. Bitcoin is most popular because of its anonymity of transactions.  Bank will not allow you to transact the Hughes amount amount while keeping your identity completely confidential. And on the other hand, its price is constantly increasing. Long term investment here has the possibility of getting huge profit. All these reasons make Bitcoin so appealing to me
Not only for you, maybe for many people who are already familiar with Bitcoin it can also be very interesting when referring to the reasons you said and what the OP said. Because it is very clear that the bank will never protect the secrets and identities of its customers if one of the customers makes large transactions in a matter of days. So that true freedom never exists in banks except for people who only save their own money in other places that are not banks. And I also agree more with putting some money into the market to be able to buy Bitcoin and keep it well as a future investment than relying on storing it in the bank.

As far as I understand bitcoin is a strong currency not controlled by a decentralized central government. Investors in bitcoin can do whatever they want. Bitcoin transactions are anonymous, allowing you to control everything as you wish. What is controlled by the central government we have to do as the government wants there is no such thing as individual freedom. Better to be able to buy and hold bitcoins for the future than the bank.

It's a matter of trusting banks, and I would never trust them with a large enough amount of money that losing it would affect me. I have seen too many examples of bank failures where people cannot get their funds back, or they only get back some part of it that is protected by law.

For me, these are just additional risks for my funds and I will definitely avoid these risks. Bitcoin is difficult for people because it requires a lot of responsibility, if you buy Bitcoin then you are responsible for its safety, you become a bank and there is no one who will be responsible for your coins, you must be able to do it yourself, and this suits me.

I know that no one can block my coins and I have access to them whenever I want, 24/7 for a whole year.

For me bitcoin is virtual money, a means of payment, a store of value that can only be used through technological devices and the internet. The latter is of course an investment asset for the future.

Because Bitcoin blockchain technology can detail all transactions that occur on the network. This system verifies all transactions independently of any party, thereby ensuring security and transparency. In other words bitcoin is a way to achieve financial freedom in the future.

Everyone sees bitcoin from two perspective and those are the two main ways bitcoin was meant for but only one is very much active and the other which is the most paramount one is abandoned. And they are one to invest and to buy things online. And my prefer  one is buying things but if the two can work together effectively then I like to use the two. Well bitcoin has helped me and change the narrative of life life. So bitcoin is vet important to all and whoever is interested to know it more and come here will learn to the maximum. But one thing we have to know is that we can't leave fiat currency for now because most of our countries are not using bitcoin to buy things so in that case we have to sell bitcoin or convert to the fiat currency before we can use e it. So fiat is still very important in the ecosystem. Bitcoin has freed a lot of people from poverty. And since the buying and selling of goods and services are not available at the moment, then the investment is active to all.

Bitcoin doesn’t mean shit freedom to me, besides it doesn't place me above some governments laws, just imagine putting tax on crypto gains, then even my government now has right over my bitcoin that shit is fucked up, we can't stand around and pretend that bitcoin hasn't gone from what satoshi envisioned into what circumstances has molded, majority of bitcoin are stored and under control of exchanges which are subject to government policies, p2p transactions that doesn’t rely on trust is shit now cause I don't see that happening even with new technologies, check out gas fees they are high as fuck, developers are no where near fixing scalability to the level  that it can handle transactions around the world, what bitcoin can handle is what it is given now, no normal person would prefer to pay such high gas fees for daily transactions.

To me bitcoin is just a. Investment asset, it hurts me to say this but I don't believe in the vision of satoshi coming true, and we can't find freedom in bitcoin or even full anonymity of our money and asset, all bitcoin can offer to us now is just a way to better our future and achieve good success for ourselves. I Don't believe in this world all I believe in is if you want more peace and more freedom get richer, get the fuck out of the rat race of earning a living off salary and government jobs, invest in bitcoin for your better tomorrow.

Bitcoin is simply a digital currency in cryptocurrency, its an alternative means to how we can have control over our finances by ourselves and make use of the digital means in achieving this, its also a form of currency but this time, its not a government owned currencies, its rather a decentralized digital cryptocurrency, we can make use of this same coin for our investment assets, because its going to be more profitable and we may not need to go through all the kyc procedures as with other fiats and traditional assets.

Freedom or Hope is not necessarily wrong. Freedom against other people who want to control you. Hope for a system you feel more comfortable with than the current one. That is how we could describe the words. Or it is a run out of the system to not go along with all this, like someone wanting to get out of the city to live in nature. Being able to pay with bitcoin all over the world without having the currency of the country, or going to a bank and asking if you can have your money.

Bitcoin is an asset that gives the holder the total freedom over his money, being able to send and receive Bitcoin from anywhere and at any time with restriction or involvement from any party.

Bitcoin is a currency of great value and a hedge over inflation that exists in the traditional financial system, Bitcoin is a digital gold and so on, so for me, Bitcoin means alot but above all Bitcoin gives me joy to know that I am my bank.

Agree with what you said because saying about freedom is also actually not a wrong thing because with the way bitcoin works and with the steps that bitcoin is doing in terms of the purpose of creating bitcoin then sometimes saying about financial freedom is something that can be true.

This is an opinion but if we can wait and be really sure about something like this then I think it can be a good situation because with bitcoin the expectation of financial freedom will of course be very large so it is not wrong for this speculation.
We can say about anything from the description of bitcoin to date and all arguments can be true because we must realize that everyone has their own views in assessing bitcoin.

Bitcoin has enormous meaning to individual differently, Bitcoin means a lot to me, it means a store of value and wealthy, a save heaven for retirements, financial freedom, the best of it's kind, simplify digital currency, the best digital investment, the joy of future savings. Gives the opportunity of sending money to our love ones without the interference of a third-party such as government or banks. Is the king of all coins.

For now, BTC is my second money that I keep in my wallet. Even though it doesn't work like FIAT money, I present it like a treasure that can be used to buy something (not in my country) that I need. It's true, I rarely use it for shopping, because I still really love the BTC I have so I'm not willing to exchange it for anything.

This is my goal asset for investment and to grow the assets I own. Rather than saving in FIAT which is very susceptible to inflation, it is better for me to save this in Bitcoin like commodities or shares.

Bitcoin will teach you don't to be too fast to make money quick . After having encounter with bitcoin,  you will understand that not all investment is worth investing money. Their are many things to know about in learning Bitcoin,  I think knowing bitcoin gives one more exposure.

As you mentioned, Bitcoin has a lot of utilities and every individual might use it for different purposes based on their needs and understanding.
Bitcoin was created by Satoshi to become a peer-to-peer payment transfer method without centralization and any interference from a third party, however, Bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies have become more of an investment asset these days because most people are using them this way.
Some people around the world are also using Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as a mode of payment for buying goods and properties because their beneficiaries are accepting them. So it's all about what a person uses cryptocurrencies for because they have multiple use cases.

The meaning of bitcoin for me, bitcoin can give me financial freedom in the future, because bitcoin has changed my life a lot for the better. Bitcoin provides large profits and can be said to be (relatively) fast compared to other investments. Which is no less important because bitcoin is one way to fight inflation.

During my time investing in Bitcoin, I have gained a lot, although there have been some losses, but overall it has improved my current finances. But what you must always remember is that investment is High Return High Risk. So, if you invest in Bitcoin, don't just look at the good, but also look at the risks, and what things affect the price of Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin does not harm us at all, as long as we learn how to store assets properly and correctly, Bitcoin will benefit you in the future.

This are all quality that you need to become a great Investor, all great investors are well disciplined individuals that have endurance, patience and persistence. If you don't have this quality you'll find it difficult to make profit from any investment that you're into. Bitcoin means a currency to me, Bitcoin is what it is that's a decentralized cryptocurrency that makes use to be incharge and not the government. Bitcoin isn't the saviour of the world that will stop poverty like some people are describing on this thread. Bitcoin can't stop world hunger, what Bitcoin can do is to stop the government from controlling and monitoring our every transaction. When you're invested into Bitcoin and you're not keeping your Bitcoin on an exchange or a constodial wallet, you're incharge of your money and that's what I see Bitcoin to be.

There are different views and opinions on how people see bitcoin or how it works for them  because it's able to adapt to many different functions and activities. However, bitcoin to me can be Financial freedom, hope in a world of restrictions and profitable investment, because bitcoin allows individuals to control and manage their money without intermediaries that is no one act as a link between it, it provides hope by offering a decentralised alternative for people in restricted environment to access and investing in bitcoin can be profitable due to its potentials for growth and has an hedge over normal assets like stocks and bonds due to its independent.Bitcoin represents a chance to grow financially and succeed if one invest on it with proper understanding.

Sometimes I personally call bitcoin, my golden currency. This is because it’s a currency that can break through different situation, even at a dead zoom it will survive lol.
It can come out and stand them in a hidden place where he is not invited, or want to be noticed he still operates.

Bitcoin still operates even when the people the countries that  banned Bitcoin in their country and do not accept bitcoin has any way of exchange or trading, there is always one fact in there, they still know that Bitcoin is still operating in the country but they don’t have a choice to them.
They have announced that no one should make use of bitcoin, so bitcoin is something very special.

Lastly, all always make a very clear topic to enable more contribution and study more yourself about bitcoin so you can get a very good clear topic.

It's nothing short of a source of income for me which reduces some financial burden but at the same time it's something which gives me freedom P2P securely.

Bitcoin has changed so many lives in positive way and we can always bank on it for investment and moreover before the emergence of altcoins and even now it's serving as most secure P2P transfer mode.

Bitcoin for me is a life transformer in the sense that, while is an investment,  it also serves as a knowledge journey that has helped me to dive into so many aspects of financial knowledge and education has helped to enhance my financial knowledge and understanding of what investments are and how to handle a crisis while their arise.
So Bitcoin is a multiple-purpose tool for me and for sure it going to take me through alot of other aspects ls which I may not have discovered yet, so I know for sure that Bitcoin will mean different things for different folks but all it will be in a positive direction and impact.

Well, I was notified via telegram bot because you have used the phrase learn Bitcoin. LOL, I wasn't invited but I would like to share my thoughts as well. Even though Bitcoin is banned in my country, I started to earn some Bitcoin from the internet and I decided to keep some of it instead of spending them all. I have worked on some crypto projects too and I received my payment in Bitcoin too. Now, BTC become one of my major assets and currently, most of my liquid investment is in Bitcoin.

Since Bitcoin is banned in my country, I cannot cashout my Bitcoin legally. But, this has an advantage as well. I do not have to pay taxes because nobody knows that I have Bitcoin except my closest friends. Bitcoin enabled investment opportunity for me. I guess, I should be okay with how Bitcoin is in my country at this moment.

You can choose Peer to Peer trading platforms, no KYC exchanges to sell your bitcoin and withdraw.

10 Non-KYC Exchanges: Investor’s Guide 2024 (https://coinledger.io/blog/non-kyc-exchanges). They listed 10 exchanges but I don't recommend Changelly as they did not have good reputation and I am not sure they already changed.

Other options can be using mixers but with expensive transaction fee through Bitcoin blockchain recent months, using mixers become more costly.

Cashing out Bitcoin from those exchanges won't make it legal. Right? Using Bitcoin and any other cryptocurrency is banned in this country. But, Thanks you suggesting non-KYC exchanges. I wish I had known the bad side of KYC when I entered the crypto space. I have been KYC'ed on many platforms already when I learned about how KYC can ruin someone's life. But, It's too late for me.

When something is done on the internet, we cannot undo this anymore. Since I have been KYC'ed already, I am still using centralized exchanges to exchange my coins. But, I do not hold Bitcoin on exchanges anymore since I learned about non-custodial wallets like Electrum. I got a hardware wallet too.

I myself want to say that the purest and the original is just one BTC. and this is extraordinary for those who understand. However, the fact out there is that Bitcoin is an expensive and high-risk investment and I am very sure that anyone there if asked to invest in BTC will think about it even though BTC is already familiar to their ears.

Yes. It is true and has been proven that almost everyone understands digital currency on average, but not everyone feels comfortable investing with the level of market uncertainty that looks very bubbly. Now. If we think about this condition, it is very understandable that many people prefer to continue using other, safer investment options, even though these options do not offer the same profit potential as people who already understand and understand the ins and outs of investing with BTC.

For me Bitcoin means an opportunity of investing my money in a profitable way, which allows me to be optimistic about thriving financially, despite the difficulties we find in our traditional socities and financial systems, which don't give chances for average citizens to develop themselves in the same manner they benefit the ones at the top of pyramid. Bitcoin doesn't guarantee equity, but it does something much more important, that is to ensure equality among every investors, who can have access to Bitcoin currency without any bureaucracies, impediments and setbacks.

Bitcoin has shown even poor and small investors are able to thrive, if they endure, are patient and keep focused on long term goals, without having to corrupt themselves, kneeling to the powerful rulers of this world in order to achieve something better in their local communities and countries, as it has been happening in this world since always. I believe that is why Bitcoin is also directly connected to the sensation of freedom, because it allows you to grow by yourself independently, in consonance with your own values, without having to go against your morals and ethics in order to thrive.

Bitcoin to me, is freedom. This means that I have the liberty to use my funds to purchase things without any interference from third parties that check all of my transactions.

On a personal note, bitcoin to me is an opportunity- something that can be maximized on especially if you consider the financial status of a person. In my case, I live in a third-world country where there are limited opportunities when it comes to finances and jobs. Bitcoin enabled me to look beyond the box and explore endless possibilities financially. Without BTC, I would not experience situations that made me better as a person and as an investor.

I myself want to say that the purest and the original is just one BTC. and this is extraordinary for those who understand. While BTC may be seen as an investment, I see it rather as an opportunity and as a means of income due to the acts that are involved. For example, the creation of bitcoin lead to multiple signature campaigns that changed my life completely on how I use my finances.

I just hope that people should know and exercise every opportunity to discover the existence of cryptocurrencies. While it may be a stretch for me, but I consider it as my gateway in order to alleviate myself from my financial situation.

I will also reply in a short form, and I am new here. Just making my first post today. BTC means a lot I can say is the future of the digital world, that release you from stress and bring you closer to the digital world and also keep your transaction confidential Whereby you can control your own money do your own money. BTC is not like a bank whereby someone need to control your money or safe for you. BTC makes you to be in charge of your wealth , you may have some money which you really don’t want anybody to know about it and you can store in btc no man on earth can know about it’s or traceable, it’s not something that can cause you harm from the government or from an individual to know how much is in your bank account which is not like a bank is a self center currency.

First of all, what's behind your pattern of writing? That isn't nice at all -- i mean, reading centralized text which doesn't convey much information...

Bitcoin means a whole lot to me; I'll feel very remorseful if I had the later opportunity to learn and embrace it and I neglected it..  look at that!! -- The whole Renaissance over the past 15 years has rather unlocked more avenues to stabilize and break the monopoly of FIAT currencies and banks... Since there wasn't any other means to stake up your values, it was defendlessly monitored and seized at the govern's will.. The new revolution has also created jobs for tech/dev gurus - a dream that was only imagined until somome took a step forward - SATOSHI.

As far as I know, bitcoin was created as an alternative for payments. However, as time goes by, its meaning becomes deeper. For me, apart from being a payment alternative, bitcoin is a type of investment that has enormous potential in the future. It's like an opportunity to change your life for the better. During this time, after I got to know bitcoin, many things have changed. I know more about investments, business, and other things that can generate profits. Even though the risks are large, the benefits offered are also large. Anyone who is willing to face these risks, has the same opportunity to gain these benefits.

Bitcoin has really helped people who collect the amount of money they can afford and those who are able to collect will of course be able to get profits according to what they collect, for now anyone who holds Bitcoin will certainly make it very easy for them to meet their needs. and if they are able to collect large amounts of course their future will be very secure because they have prepared their future from now on.

Yes of course those who are able to hold bitcoins will definitely have a bright and secure future. Those who invested when Bitcoin came to $15000 from deep dips have made huge gains in just a year today. So that would be the main announcement to hold Bitcoin. The more one can invest, the more profit one will surely get. If my finances were much better right now I would just invest in bitcoins and hold on.

I am optimistic that it is possible to make more profit in Bitcoin than banks, which I have seen proof of. Bitcoin has changed many people's lives, I am also hopeful that investing in Bitcoin will change my life.

Bitcoin is a digital currency that gives me a second chance to rise from the downturn that I have experienced. Businesses in the real world failed, I didn't have any work and when I got to know Forums and Bitcoin I started to have new hope. Start studying it and start looking for ways to get free Bitcoin from this forum. Until now I am still actively trading and investing in crypto, especially Bitcoin.

If you want to hear my opinion about Bitcoin, I would say that Bitcoin is the main vehicle that changed my life. I have changed my life today because of Bitcoin. If it wasn't for Bitcoin I might never have built the position I have today and I would have had a lot of hard times. When I didn't work in bitcoin I had a very hard life I had a hard time with my family When I was introduced to bitcoin I started making money from bitcoin I started to lead a very good life. That's why I want to expose Bitcoin as the first life-changing vehicle in my life.
The long-term storage strategy shows its benefits over time. I have a close friend who bought part of Bitcoin at just the price of 15-16k and now he is grateful because he asked several times whether it was worth selling or not. And now he is grateful that he received knowledge and profit .Bitcoin teaches you to wait and not rush, and then there will definitely be a reward.

Hello, Everyone

I'll keep this short.

What does BTC mean to you?

Some may say freedom others  say hope in a world of restriction, love to hear your responses.
Bitcoin has proven beyond reasonable doubt that it is the best and the most profitable investment in the universe. It also has many profitable options put together, like it is use as a store of value, it is used as a medium of exchange, it's volatility helps in reducing inflation. Though not everyone but personal inflation, it is a great store of value, it can be sent across the globe without stress of going to the bank, it has privacy, meaning you can transfer any amount of your choice without the involvement of  bank or any other financial institutions. I still maintain that btc is the best investment. Micro strategy will be in right position to explain more better.

well, if I should phrase it in a way my 19 year old self would probably give in an exam situation, "Bitcoin  is an improvement on the fiat and banking system that gives the users full authority over Thier asset and offers incentives to users who stays longer and accumulate more in the market. It is a threat to the government over regulatory policies on citizens income, a solution to the difficulty in international transactions and the surest solution to storing of wealth for the future. Ignorant once call it ponzi scheme while the lazy one see it as a complex stuff to go into but the real bitcoinnier keep buying it because that's what they should be doing.

Michael Saylor put this beautiful words into my head....BITCOIN IS HOPE.

Since then, that's what I came to believe
Bitcoin is hope.
Bitcoin allows you to protect your wealth. No one will steal it from you ! No one will get richer over YOUR back ! No one while laugh at you while you cant even defend yourself.
Bitcoin allows you to stand your ground.

Bitcoin gets you makes sure that you will be able to provide for your family.
And this is the most important point. All the energy i am putting into Bitcoin, is in the hope of being to provide my family a life that they deserve.
I dont have kids yet, but when I will, I want them to be able to live in a house with a land.
The banks have been stripping my wealth away for 35 years now. The reduce my purchasing power lower year over year.
They charged me 2.5% fees for mutual fund. They kept on charging me additionnal fees.

Bitcoin gets you to escape all this.
Bitcoin gets you to think longer term.
Bitcoin is HOPE.

Bitcoin is an investment instrument that has helped my finances. I also agree that Bitcoin is Hope, because I always hope that there will be better value achievements in all crypto instruments. I have known Bitcoin for almost 9 years at any time I also always hope there is a change in value for the better. Because at that time my goal of knowing crypto was to increase my financial capabilities.

Bitcoin means a lot to me in term of anonymous safe keeping of my Bitcoin asset instead of exchanging it to fiat probably I would save it in a bank with the awareness of a third party with Bitcoin, I can hodl and secure millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin in a cold wallet without any third party interference, Moreso Bitcoin had created a lot of opportunities for freelancers where payment is mainly by Bitcoin and a lot employment opportunities had been created by Bitcoin related organisations and exchanges whose services I had been enjoying as well thus Bitcoin means a lot to more because of lot of benefits I had gained from Bitcoin after adopting it.

To me, BTC means much more than just a digital currency. It's a symbol of financial freedom, a way to decentralize economic power and give people control over their own money. It represents innovation and the future, a paradigm shift in how we understand and use value in our society.

People usually buy bitcoin for various purposes, some want to use it as a long-term investment, with the hope of making a profit if one day they sell it. and short-term goals. But there are also other reasons. But for me, Bitcoin is a hope in creating a new ecosystem in the world of currency and with Bitcoin being a solution in dealing with finances because we can get satisfying profits as long as we know how to do it correctly.

If defined simply, Bitcoin is a digitally stored currency. Bitcoin has become a valuable asset because people are willing to exchange it for goods or services and are even willing to exchange it for cash. Its unique design, decentralized nature and unbacked by any government or issuing institution, is why investors treat it as a kind of digital gold to hedge against market volatility and inflation. All the advantages that Bitcoin has have encouraged many investors to make it a very profitable investment instrument. The ease of transactions without intermediaries makes the costs lower.

Well, from my view bitcoin is a valuable asset, bitcoin also serves as store of wealth like an investment, most people will love to buy things using bitcoin as a means of payment but from my perspective bitcoin has surpassed such level and people should learn how to treat bitcoin as a valuable asset by holding bitcoin. People usually address bitcoin as financial freedom and in my view bitcoin is a trusted investment compared to other investment, choosing bitcoin as an investment choice is perfect unlike other investment that requires huge amount for start, bitcoin investment has different accumulation strategy like the dca strategy used commonly by bitcoin enthusiasts.

Bitcoin means a lot to me. But I couldn't buy them at right time. now it is very expensive. let see in future I would buy some bitcoin and gain financial freedom through it.

There is no time like the present.

Waiting is not a strategy to prepare for UP and also to build a long and enduring investment into bitcoin.. so in that regard it takes a long time to build a bitcoin investment, so if you want to work towards financial freedom through bitcoin, then get the fuck started... and tell us how you are building rather than how you are waiting for a better entry point that may well not come.

You should already know with a forum registration date from December 2017.. You have had  alot of opportunities to buy since your forum registration date.. and what have you been doing?  Just waiting for a better entry date?

I personally started buying bitcoin at the top of the 2013 price, and yeah it took me a few years to get into profits.  With your forum registration date,  you could have been in a similar situation as me and building your BTC holdings from the start, and probably you would have had been in profits by mid to late 2020.and in a great position right now.. even with an ongoing buying strategy and many times to get in..

If had invested $100 per week since December 2017, you would have had invested $32.8k, but you would have nearly 2.7 BTC (https://dcabtc.com?sd=2017-12-01&sda=custom&f=weekly&d=7_years&ac=10000&c=true)... Surely not a bad place to be.

In our latest run up, we have hardly had any meaningful corrections since October 2023.. and largely maybe we can go all the way back to November 2022 and suggest that there have ONLY been a few corrections since then that were greater than 20%... do a lot of people who have been waiting to get into bitcoin since November 2022 and maybe even earlier than that, and the right thing would have probably been to just jump in and do what you can.. and build your bitcoin holdings... which likely could take a newbie 10 years or longer to build up a bitcoin holdings.. so surely it is better to get started than either to wait or to continue to whine about how it is supposedly too late for you while BTC prices continues to go up and you continue to remain a whining no coiner who fails/refuses to act and just continues to say it is too late, when that is truly not true... and it is still not too late, but I imagine that we will find you 5 years from now still whining that you haven't bought any coins yet..

You are right in all what you have said, but Bitcoin Is not a narrow road to financial freedom. Bitcoin is a long journey to success because with HODLing for long you may be able to achieve it, but withe the mindset of a narrow way to success you may never achieved it. Bitcoin is not a ponzy scheme were they tell you to invest $40 and get $80 in 45 minutes, but with bitcoin you may be having in mind that you will hold for as long as 10 to 15 years, and as such there is no shortcuts. Achieving Bitcoin journey is determined by hardwork, focus, determination and a long term holding. The moment you get that to your mind then Bitcoin wealth is achieved.

Bitcoin is a very reliable investment, it always give people the results they want so far as they are ready to hodl bitcoin.  Their has been no time someone planned of not making profit from Bitcoin by hodling.  Bitcoin is a better store of value if one is ready to hodl some Bitcoin.  The value of bitcoin means so much to investors and the security of bitcoin being anonymous also means a lot to people.  The freedom that bitcoin has is of good benefit to people.

Like I always say, Bitcoin is an asset, it is to be invested and earn money from. Thankfully, Bitcoin is such an asset that is so affordable and easily accessible by anyone who is interested. You may be buying it little by little until you are satisfied with your holdings. I started mine in 2022 and I continued to buy as little as I could afford till 2023 but stopped later in the year due to the high price of the coin. This made my focus shift totally to altcoins and I have never regretted buying altcoins too since it is the general cryptocurrency bullish season now, you will hardly see a coin/token that will not earn for you this season.

By now, many people would have been regretting not buying Bitcoin when it was still very low, they might have been waiting for halving but the coin disappointed them by breaching above its ATH before the expected time. Well, it is never too late, even if one loses now, the next bullish season is there, and they can prepare better and even plan long-term savings that will help them to have a sizable amount of Bitcoin for better investments through it. Even now, it is not too late to continue to buy it through futures trading after a sizable retracement like what it did on the very day it retested its former ATH around $69,000. By doing that, a good buy plan with little risk could save the day instead of them missing out entirely.

It sounds easy, but it requires sufficient knowledge to make a profit from Bitcoin, especially since the crypto market is very volatile, so we have to be able to analyze the market as best as possible so that we know when is the right time to collect and sell Bitcoin so we can get satisfactory profits.

Your narrative, like many others, included smart investment and a classic pivot when the tides turned. I agree with you: Bitcoin is a revolution that anybody can use to build money in ways never before possible.

When Bitcoin's price skyrocketed, you made a sensible move to altcoins; diversification is crucial in any portfolio But dont write Bitcoin out. It adapts and grows, continually rising. Your method to purchasing dips and leveraging futures trading following major retracements? Brilliant. You're good at timing and strategy. Always remember that bitcoin is volatile, but volatility brings opportunity. Keep focused and lets succeed. huge results come from huge thinking, believing, and acting. You win this game that way.

we know there is not much use of Bitcoin as a means of payment. Even though it is an alternative, until now the use of fiat still dominates. If you are a Bitcoin holder, of course, all of us need to encourage the use of Bitcoin as a transaction tool.

Bitcoin aka (BTC) in essence is digital money. Yes, just like today's cash (penny and dollars) replaced the barter system of old and stone money (See Stone Island and the Concept of Money), bitcoin has come to fulfill glaring needs. In a digital age, the world is getting smaller and we need to do things quicker, smarter, and ever more efficiently. Digital currency (of which bitcoin is one) fulfills these and more. It also provides far more security than we dreamed possible. So yes, it's time for fiat (what we call Minted money) to take a bow and exit the stage.
It’s about offering transparency and freedom, as opposed to other investment opportunities that are more traditional. Blockchain is an unhackable, transparent, p2p-based network that simply doesn’t allow fraud. You can only lose your money when you transfer your bitcoin to the wrong address, as along as the transaction is been sent to the correct address, then you don’t have to worry about losing your money.  Bitcoin makes many people rich, and others take advantage of the freedom to send money freely. Bitcoin unleashes the opportunity to be your own bank. What will happen in the future, we can just make some suggestions. However, at this moment, there is a lot of exciting developments and many signals of global market adoption. It can lead to a new bitcoin age. Interestingly, the Internet needs digital cash.

I'm still seeing many people out there waiting for Bitcoin's correction to start buying. Before Bitcoin broke its ATH, many people thought that Bitcoin would definitely have a big correction before the halving by referring to past data (including me ;D), and almost missed a major growth spurt of Bitcoin. It seems that things are changing in this cycle as the growth period seems to be much shorter than the cycles before Bitcoin EFT was approved. The large amount of money from funds and the dwindling number of Bitcoins circulating in the market have made Bitcoin prices move extremely unpredictable. My previous predictions were wrong, and I corrected them by allocating all my remaining capital to buy Bitcoin at 68k USD instead of waiting in vain. Not too bad for the crazy growth cycle ahead, right? :) .

Sometimes what we need to do is buy first then study, meaning you already have bitcoin in your pocket

A lot of users here have stated what Bitcoin means to them but to me, I feel that Bitcoin is just the next generation life changer because they are going to be the ones that would enjoy more of the liberty that this digital currency has offered to mankind, and so far as Bitcoin continues to exist of which it would, Satoshi Nakamoto and crew would always be remembered for giving a solution to the world monetary problems through the invention and introduction of Bitcoin.

I don't have any problem with lump sum investing and/or front-loading your investment into BTC out of anticipation of further up, yet I have always had money available for buying dips, and maybe especially true during times that you are still building your BTC stash.

So of course the three techniques for accumulating BTC are lump sum, DCA and buying on dips, so if you front load with a lump sum at $68k-ish, then I think it would be good to still be able to DCA and/or to buy on dips.. even though of course, I agree with you that our current times are actually feeling quite bullish, which includes that it may end up being the case that BTC prices go up yet they do not come back down and correct below current prices (including but not limited to $68k)..

How much to hold back for buying on dips (or how much you have for DCA'ing) will be within your own determination, and yeah, if you already made your lump sum buy, then surely you can ride it out better if you are prepared for either price direction... both psychologically and financially.

Bitcoin runs on a decentralised network that means no single person or organisation can control it. This is where some rulers fail who can control everything in the world but fail to control it. Just as an investor can become financially independent using Bitcoin, he also gains freedom from the constraints of the traditional banking system. No particular group or persons can create any obstacle here. In today's world, rulers can announce the confiscation of people's wealth in various ways. Those who are victim can never come out of from their boundary. They have to live in subjugation and oppression. But Satoshi Nakamoto with his Bitcoin invention, completely freed oneself from all those oppression and tyranny. Currently Bitcoin is not only financially beneficial to a holder but also plays an important role in his financial security.

Perhaps, I didn't find this thread early enough but I will have to contribute my perception of Bitcoin.

On a personal level, Bitcoin is a paradigm that has shifted the thoughts of people from being centralized to a decentralized system, which the government is against. perhaps because they feel unsecured that they can't accomplish their selfishness because alot of people are not longer interested to be controlled by a government that is only concerned about their own well being and not the the well being out the people.

Bitcoin was created to by Satoshi Nakamoto in order to take financial freedom from some group of elites who call themselves governments to the ordinary citizens to be financially free. Bitcoin is a currency that allows me and you to have control of our financial life and not to be controlled by centralized authorities (government).

Bitcoin is freedom...

Different people may have different opinions about Bitcoin. But personally I think Bitcoin means faith. I said faith here because faith means refuge, confidence. Personally I think if I don't have refuge, confidence in Bitcoin then I can't analyze it. I invested and held on to Bitcoin because I had faith. People actually want the independence of their money where they want to control their money without the interference of a second person. And Bitcoin is definitely the trusted address to get this kind of freedom.

What you said was Satoshi's vision and purpose when creating bitcoin. But do we really come to bitcoin for freedom or for the huge profits that bitcoin can bring us?

Honestly, my main goal when getting into bitcoin is profit, and when I make big profits, the second thing I think about is privacy. Because I don't want anyone and especially the government to know about my assets, I don't trust them because they can confiscate anything from us if they become greedy. I think there are many people who have the same goal as me but most don't dare to admit it.

Hello, Everyone

I'll keep this short.

What does BTC mean to you?

Some may say freedom others  say hope in a world of restriction, love to hear your responses.

BTC for me is

1) An investment option. Earlier my investment was limited to mutual funds and Fds but now I have included bitcoin and crypto in it as well. So far, it has given me better returns than mutual funds.

2) Payment option: It also acts as a payment option for me. I accept bitcoin from number of clients for the services I provide. There are some clients who prefer to pay me in bitcoin only. I also pay for some services like hosting with the help of bitcoin.

Bitcoin is a currency that will benefit the next generation because then people will have more understanding of it and will accept it. By then it will be very clear for people to see the quality it has and they will prefer to use as currency in exchange of goods services more than the fiat currency. Bitcoin will be of good benefit for the next generation by giving them good freedom of having better access of their money without any terms and conditions.

We have priorities in the system and it's our job to carefully select promising projects. Enjoying the benefits of crypto without been on the lists really hurts. The terms and conditions that's been portrayed should be observed before anticipating in any crypto related activities. Apply caution whenever you found yourself in the space, no stopping but doing the needful steps to win. Bitcoin have saved life's from the gigantic profits and have also send most people to trenches due to their heavy losses. Bitcoin is the future of cryptocurrency, it have been the face in all these past years.

To me BTC is everything.
Infact it's either Bitcoin or nothing.
It is a narrow road to financial freedom.
With Bitcoin the future is brighter.

I share this sentiment with you. I also think that bitcoin can give me the financial
freedom that otherwise would have taken me so long to achieve with rather
the traditional means of earning money. Bitcoin is the key to our future and I feel
very grateful to have known and invested in bitcoin already

For me, I agree that Bitcoin is freedom because when I have Bitcoin in my wallet, I can send it to anybody that wants to receive it for payment, the government restrictions can not stop Bitcoin from leaving my wallet to another users wallet. Government will restrict users from using Bitcoin and they can destroy every means by which users can freely spend their Bitcoin but yet they can not permanently stop Bitcoin to move from one wallet to another. The government can freez a bank account and stop money from leaving or entering the account but they can not do the same to Bitcoin and that is why I say Bitcoin is freedom.

But there is one problem that you forgot, you cannot use bitcoin to pay daily bills, you still need to convert your bitcoin into fiat currency to be able to use it for daily use. So, bitcoin can give us freedom and privacy but it is not completely free or 100% anonymous.

One more thing, I think many people come to bitcoin not because of the freedom and privacy that bitcoin brings. Profit is what we are looking for in bitcoin and that is the main goal more than anything else.

People come for both, and they may or may not be as maniacally focused on profits as you are making them out to be.

Sure if you are in profits, then you are more comfortable..

But some people already have profits and comfort in their lives prior to coming to bitcoin, so they may well use bitcoin as a hedge and/or as a way to buttress their already comfortable situation.

None of us has to be maniacally focused on bitcoin profits or even presume that everyone is a greedy bastard in order to want to have bitcoin, even though surely bitcoin does provide incentives for those involved in bitcoin (even including miners) to pursue their own self-interest and their pursuit of their self-interest buttresses the strength of the BTC network.

In other words, there are already built-in incentives in bitcoin to pursue good, just and correct things and end up getting rich at the same time, even if some people might not be obsessed with such getting rich process.. and by the way, in regards, to the getting rich part of bitcoin, it mostly likely comes way easier for any of us who do not become overly greedy, since if you get overly greedy, you may well end up getting punished through BTC's volatility - and perhaps even reckt because you were being way more greedy than you should have had been - which truly also might have been part of the explanation for several of the fallen bitcoin businesses (and several of their customers) in the 2022 cascading of damages that played out through much of the second half of the year.

Once it is called investment, profit is the top priority, and when people have profit and money, they start to think of privacy and freedom.

Yes, people come to bitcoin for both but what I want to say is that I just see people always talking about the privacy, the freedom that bitcoin brings. Meanwhile, profit is the first thing they need and care about, but no one mentioned it at all, I find it very strange. The most obvious example is that out of 10 topics on the forum, there are 9 topics discussing bitcoin price and its fluctuations. I rarely see people as actively talking about the benefits of bitcoin such as decentralization, privacy as we often discuss its price.

Once it is called investment, profit is the top priority, and when people have profit and money, they start to think of privacy and freedom.

You are just repeating what you already said.. .which is largely bullshit, and it seems to be coming from the narrow mindset of a trader who does not understand how the concept of investing might well be different from trading, and also how the whole world does not need to be framed in trading terms in order to make sense.

You are not describing any necessary natural progression, even if there might be various truths in regards to people thinking in terms of their own interests, and so in that regard, they may well be thinking in terms of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, if you are wanting to try to put things in some kind of psychological motivation order that is not necessarily revolving around your seemingly narrow view of the world in which you are considering that economic incentives rule the world.. and I am not denying the importance of economic incentives, even though I will proclaim you are out of your depth when you keep trying to repeat that everything has to do with profits.

Yes, people come to bitcoin for both but what I want to say is that I just see people always talking about the privacy, the freedom that bitcoin brings. Meanwhile, profit is the first thing they need and care about,

Yes.. from your point of view.. you do not seem to understand higher orders of thinking.

Some people have already met their basic needs of food, shelter, and safety and they might not be so urgently concerned about those kinds of things, even if you believe that you have everyone (and their motives) figured out... even though direct profits might motivate you, you are hardly in a place to proclaim that everyone else needs to prioritize their aims in life in the same way that you seem to believe that you need to do.

but no one mentioned it at all, I find it very strange.

Maybe because people think in terms of a variety of motivations, and profits is just one of them, and maybe profits does not apply in all situations for all people? and not that it should, either.  I already mentioned the hedging behaviors in my earlier post, too.

The most obvious example is that out of 10 topics on the forum, there are 9 topics discussing bitcoin price and its fluctuations. I rarely see people as actively talking about the benefits of bitcoin such as decentralization, privacy as we often discuss its price.

Yes.. we love to talk about price in this forum.. you are correct about that..

As an offshore dedicated servers provider, we really like bitcoin, as it give a good choice of payment to our clients, who are already having BTC and also want to keep their privacy, so as a service provider, we really like bitcoin, as many of our clients happily pay via it, so its also important for us too.

With all due respect, it seems that you are simply contradicting yourself. First you stated that "investment' has "profit" as top priority before talking about privacy and freedom.

Yes, people come to bitcoin for both but what I want to say is that I just see people always talking about the privacy, the freedom that bitcoin brings.
Second part of your statement above suggested you see people talk more of the privacy and the freedom and not the profits which you already agreed was the top priority. Is discussing price of Bitcoin not by extension, discussing the profits of investors? Fine, lets see the third part as captured below.

I rarely see people as actively talking about the benefits of bitcoin such as decentralization, privacy as we often discuss its price.
After admitting that people talk about privacy and freedom and not profits, why saying that people rarely talk about decentralization and "privacy"? Is this not speaking from both sides of your mouth. I have tried to make sense of your comment but the more I try, the more I realize you just typed them without bothering about the coherency of your statement, a good example of "work done equals zero" in thermodynamics.

For me, Bitcoin is a digital currency, it can be a very valuable asset to keep in the long term. If you are wise in holding Bitcoin, you will be rich in the future.
there are also some people who consider bitcoin as a medium of exchange because bitcoin can be carried out transactions easily, there are also people who hold bitcoin because bitcoin can be stored in a wallet safely, they are hesitant to store fiat in the bank so they decide to store their assets in the form of bitcoin.

I think that is an overstatement mate , Bitcoin or Nothing? or you mean in cryptocurrency at least? but even if there are lots of crypto that can serve you though not completely as how bitcoin do yet they are better option.

Life will never end without bitcoin as it will continue to flow,, but we must be all lucky having bitcoin in our life now and I will be always thankful about that.

I also like bitcoin and trust it the most in the market but the funny thing is that altcoins bring me more profits. So saying that bitcoin is everything is actually an exaggeration.

You are right, many people have just come into contact with bitcoin in the past few years but they say that bitcoin is all their life, without bitcoin their life would be over...They exaggerate so much that it becomes ridiculous because years ago when they didn't know about bitcoin, didn't they exist in this world?

I cannot deny that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency have really helped me improve my economy and change my life for the better. But bitcoin is not all of our lives or a god, and without it we would die. We should be realistic and not over-exaggerate.

We must be thankful to the person who created Bitcoin cause he/she/they gave us a good coins that we can make a profit if we hold for a long time. In real life Bitcoin have very high impact to the individual who knows Bitcoin for a long time. Cause we imagine that in a past 10 years how much the price of BTC and now it's almost hit $70k which is pretty good enough.
Anyways Bitcoin is everything, Bitcoin can make a good promise thats someday if we invest it we can claim a lot of profits.

We all see differently and we use it in one purpose. There are two ways we use bitcoin right now. Either we buy it or we sell it. And as for me, bitcoin means a lot to me. It is an opportunity to me and also freedom from poverty. Bitcoin came to the world to liberate many people from the poverty line. Therefore it becomes a freedom fighter to many houses. But the issue now is that one of the core reason dod creating bitcoin is not yet utilize which is the buying and selling of goods and services online which is also the peer to peer using of the online currency.

And bitcoin also make us free from the third party Banking system. Bitcoin is poverty elevator and that is how bitcoin is for me. And I don't know yours because everyone has their own way.

it means freedom doing transactions. It gives security over my wallet. It gives me responsibility to. Knowledge and so much more. I could speak all day long about Bitcoin, mining and blockchain technology.

 ;D ;D

This seems extreme flattering. I mean we can understand that Bitcoins have really left a great impact on life. But seriously talking about it all day long? That went little high. Nevertheless as said before, Bitcoins have really helped me to manage my finances independently. I don’t follow the bank policies now and hold my money in an independent manner and tax free manner. Bitcoins have also gave me lots of profit as it’s price is rising each and every time. In a nutshell, bitcoins have really helped my life in many ways.

Anyone who ONLY considers bitcoin in terms of something that you buy or you sell, either does not understand bitcoin, or they are trying to frame bitcoin in terms of trading and/or dollar values.

Holding bitcoin is a way to use it.. .since holding bitcoin allows for the transition of bitcoin through time - and speaking of transitions, bitcoin can be moved around in a variety of ways that may well not be considered to be buying or selling - including when we might move some of them from ourselves and to our selves.. and sure those self to self transaction may not have significant meaning,

....which causes me also to consider that changing the ways that bitcoin are held could also allow bitcoin to be used as collateral or to change the way in which it is owned (shared custody) - which also might not exactly be considered as a transaction that transfers the value.. even though it might transition the value from one kind of status to another kind of status, which is an additionally interesting angle to apply programable money... and the various kinds of autonomy that come from holding it yourself versus having someone else hold it for you versus some other ways to share the holding power... I am not going to even claim to know all of the options and powers of bitcoin, but they do not seem to boil down to merely buying or selling of it.
