Do you guys plan on removing the products on your website which have been scrapped?

Also plan on removing the false advertising? This uses a hashfast processor not a fasthash one. Also doubt it is 0.8w/gh at the board level.

And 750gh +-20% means this chip could theoretically reach 900gh/s yet HF has yet to even break 800gh.

I recently received a lot of doa prospectors. I have just recently placed an order for 16 gold rush boards to replace the prospectors I returned.  I used funds transfer. I feel that because ken has had my money for nine months I am due working boards at this new price. I'm wondering if they ship immediately, how long will it be before 16 of these are at my doorstep.

Emkay has reported one unit hashing at 800GH/s (although it having trouble with others, I suspect because he's using small PSU's)

Can you explain the list of excluded members please?

Most of these are actually the same person. The whole reason for this list is that these particular members mostly troll and cannot hold a civil conversation. Also now that their messages have been deleted from multiple threads they seem to make it a mission to disrupt any Active Mining thread they see.

Man, I really want to buy one, but VMC has such a terrible reputation! If I were totally sure that I would get the FHO then I would order one right away.

yeah  I would buy one right now but I just don't trust many people with 1500 usd in the world of btc.

Tired of waiting on goods hoping  the seller is honest.

I just got a 500+ usd refund from BFL  took 13 months.  I can't deal with that happening anymore.

Looks like a nice piece of gear at a good price as I have sooooo many spare psu's It would not cost much to setup.

They have only been out a few days so probably not:

I have a thread about VMC and its latest antics re their preceding board (read, BFL, Hashfast esque scummyness)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=491609.0

It's not a scam. The owner Ken is an engineer who is also a terrible communicator. I guess this has been the sole reason for the scam accusations.

I have given him a hard time on here and justifiably so.

If there was ever a chance at redemption then this is it for him.. buy one and see where it goes.

About tracking numbers for shipped items.

It seems they have been entered they are just a little difficult to find.

First you have to go to view your order where you will see an option to download your invoice.

https://i.imgur.com/lgK5uIZ.png

Then you find the tracking number right at the bottom.

https://i.imgur.com/X8Ltc8m.png

And a happy surprise, the package is already in the UK

https://i.imgur.com/r7Vg9Z3.png

So it's taken VMC 5 working days from receipt of payment to ship the product. For me this is very reasonable and very acceptable.

I wish I didn't have to dig to find the tracking number (I wish it was emailed to me) - but the fact is I can't actually criticise Ken & co for anything todo with this order so far.

What is interesting is the "shipment picked up from" shows Reno NV... is this anywhere near ActM (I hope I'm not starting another controversy here)

Does it really matter? 2$ per GHs and you have to supply power, cables and liquid cooling.

Not to mention a host machine.  It's also concerning that the dies are slathered in HSC implying they've been used.

My order was shipped 5 days after payment confirmation, and shipping to the UK has taken 7 days, although there was a bank holiday so that delayed delivery by a day or two.

Vince Paid and had to wait 2.5 weeks for payment to be acknowledged. Then a further 7 days for it to leave the VMC door. then a further 7 days for delivery to the UK..

Total time = 4 weeks, 3ish  days

In that time difficulty went up by 30% and a large portion of vince's profit went out the door.

Of course, Vince being an activemining shareholder and all out shill for VMC and Ken, has painted this in a positive light.

Being a customer of VMC I can attest to their waywardness and all out bulshittery.

If I was you I'd buy from china with EMS express shipping.

What the fuck? No.

I ordered, didn't send payment for 2 days
Payment took about 3 days to arrive
Ken took about 5 days to ship the product
Tracking shows it took 6 days to arrive.

So all told it took Ken 5 days to do whatever was in his control.

If I'd paid with BTC instantly, and if I lived in the US, I would have had the machine within 7 days.

On the prospector I'm waiting for eligius stats to do their thing (ie. giving them time) but so far I'm getting an over-performance of around 5%.

This is for the prospector rated at 512GH/s - so it looks over-spec on the pool to me, pretty pleased about that!

No, its the same ASIC chip, but on a much improved board. The prospector board is limited to 512gh (although I'm getting more like 520gh+) because of the power handling on the board, the Gold Rush board is able to deliver a higher voltage to the chip and hence high clocks speeds and higher gh/s

We have an estimate consumption at 750Gh/s?

I've got a couple arriving hopefully soon, I'll do a video and video and give you a power consumption then, but based on the 512gh/s card, I'm guessing it might be around 850w. I've ordered 1000w PSU's just in case.

What chip temperatures are you typically getting with the 512GH/s boards?

h80i is enough for the 512gh/s - not sure about the 750gh/s but the h100i is only a little more expensive.

I'm getting 77C on 512gh board with H100i but the chip can comfortably go up near 100C

We are OEMing the chip, @jimmothy do you know what that means?  Just for you information it means that we can relabel it with our own name on it.  That is not false advertising this is done everyday.  We are in the process of updating our site as you have seen with the new products.  As soon as our new front page is up, we will be taking down the old products.

Because credit card or paypal payment offers buyers some protection if something goes wrong with the purchase. If VMC had a better reputation, this wouldn't be an issue. I have no problem sending Bitmain BTC because they have a good reputation and I'm reasonably certain they won't screw me.

If I order from VMC, I'm not reasonably certain that you will deliver a working product in a timely fashion. Based on horror stories in this forum, if I receive a DOA product I'm S.O.L.. If VMC had a better reputation, or if you offered buyers payment options with buyer protection, these gold rush boards would be selling like hotcakes at $849 for 750GH.

The reason you haven't sold out yet is because buyers are apprehensive about ordering from you.

Any chance that you will post a setup guide for the Gold Rush card like you did for the Prospector card?
Since the card came with zero instructions on how to set it up, I just don't want to guess at the power setup.
The card has 4 pcie power connectors but the box says you need dual pcie power connectors so I'm a bit confused.

Thanks.

Stick a PCI-E connector into each of the 4.... you are trying to deliver a lot of power so better safe than sorry.

edit: The maximum figures I've seen for how much power can be delivered via a PCIe 6 pin is 350 watts... most figures say 75 watts... so yeah, defo go with 4 PCIe connectors.

Can I push it to 800mhz?

whats the need for the usb running from the pump?

H110i and a 240mm fan across the board. ~580Gh/s @ 88-90C @825MHz

I was incorrect on the 700Gh/s.
It eventually planes out to run under 600Gh/s regardless of clock setting (I tried 400-850). I hope there is some secrect sauce that will allow these cards to run within the 20% spec... If not I will be unhappy...

Has anyone tried to put a watercooled loop on these? I'm thinking of getting at least two and using a watercool setup like a PC i.e. pump / reservoir and a couple of CPU coolers in the same loop. Theoretically these should outperform the H80i

rangerbob21, have you measured power consumption at 580 GH/s?

At the moment this miner doesn't look particularly good. You could get 4 S1s for 0.44BTC each (4*0.44*450 = $792), undervolt them to 1.2 W/GHps, and get the same performance as this board (560-580 GHps), but save $50 + cost of cooling system (~$100).

I'm replacing S1's with these purely due to to cooling issues, don't forget to add PSU's for the S1's, realising you've asked for power consumption figures - I'm also very interested in this figure as well!

I am almost afraid to measure the draw... :) I will do so tonight and report back.

I actually hope my hx750m can't provide enough power to get the card to ~700-750Gh/s. If this is not the issue and the draw is in a "good" range then I have a separate issue. Possibly not good contact from the H110i to the chips for proper cooling?

EDIT: I just set up the kill-a-watt and @775MHz, ~86C I am getting ~550-600Gh/s and pulling 675 Watts / 5.7 Amps. FYI...

I am hoping someone will find fault on my rig setup and be the answer to getting the card up to spec...

Corsair HX750M PS + Corsair H110i cooler + 1-coolermaster 240MM fan cooling the board + good exhaust for the radiator (this same exhaust keeps a small room /w 4 S1's @~72F)

-I used the procedure in the Prospector card thread to attach the cooler using the 8/32 nuts.
-Cleaned and re-applied thermal paste on the board and cooler.
-The PS has all 4 Pci-e plugs attached
-I tested the OC from 400MHz-850Mhz and found the board hashed no faster and only created more heat for no gain... I let the board run for ~1 hour for testing at different OC levels.
-Getting <600GH/s steady @775MHz @~87C @.83-.85V (per cgminer 4.3.3)

I am beginning to think this is a card problem... Anyone else have a different outcome?

EDIT: The "masking tape" test results sent with the card show 686GH/s @ .88V @800MHz. I can get nowhere close to this number.
EDIT1: PIC! https://i.imgur.com/9jLq5fk.jpg

Having the same issue's as you, same PSU, running the H80I cooler, extra fan blowing across the board.
Followed the Prospector card procedure to attach everything and I can only average 600ghs @ 800mhz @ 91c-93c.
Anyone have an idea on how to get over 700ghs?
Masking tape test results on ours showed 689ghs @.88volts and 800mhz...can't get anywhere close to that number,
even running an ice chilled water cooling system @ 800mhz still only pulls 600ghs average @ 90c.

What base are you using with the water block? I used the block of aluminum that came with the OGR card. The base that came with the H110i has threaded standoffs that were too long going through the board and would never work.

Yep... I am getting less than 600GH/s... and nowhere near the "tested at" hash rate sent with the card.

Been following this thread to see if these are worth it due to the reasonable cost.  Doesn't look like these cards come close to 750 GH/s.  So far it's a pass.

I have never installed a water cooler or large CPU cooler.  I have a couple of questions for anyone that can answer:

1. I have purple adhesive, but no heat sinks like in the Prospector instructions.  Was I suppose to have them?

2. If the answer to that question is no heatsinks needed on this board, then what do I do with the adhesive?

3. I am following the Prospector instructions on placing the A Plate on the bottom of the board, turning it over and then attempting to screw in the large Plate that was sent with the Gold Rush.  But I don't have screws long enough to go through large plate and then the A Plate.  Should I be doing it a different way?

Appreciate any help.

I set the card up with the aluminum block as the base (pay attention to the orientation...) cleaned all, reapplied the thermal compound and discarded the base plate that came with my cooler (H110i) and the purple stuff. I then followed the prospector setup with the 8/32 nuts to attach... I have no idea if this is correct but it seems to work.

I needed to get the nuts pretty snug to get good heat transfer but not too tight or you can cause damage to the chips, 1/4 turn at a time...

I do not have a Gold Rush card but because it is an EVO or extremely similar I've been told the contact of the cooler is EXTREMELY important for the hashrate. If the cooler is even slightly out of contact you'll get the numbers you are getting. Also if you are using a second grade paste this can cause issues too or if you put the paste on wrong (too many "air bubbles" from not spreading correctly)

It's also Extremely important that the back plate on the bottom is secure and taking some heat off the board. Get some air flow under the card as well.

As I said before I do not have one of these cards so I can't tell you exactly what's wrong. Also what does your CGMiner/BFGMiner command say so I can compare. It is extremely unfortunate that Ken is not giving any recommendations but not surprising.

Par for the course in "Bitcoin miner vendor land" I am afraid...  :-\

I will take it apart and "reengineer" the cooler to see if that gets me anywhere. I might just need to give a 1/4 turn more on the nuts... We shall see...

cgminer varies according to the pool (and interestingly, per share diff) I get 800+GH/s from cgminer but ~580GH/s at Eligius and ~580 GH/s from cgminer and ~580GH/s from slush...

Thanks!

Could use some troubleshooting.  With the ATX connection from the board (5 straight-line pins) going to the PSU (10 pin) plugged in the board goes on and off right away.  If I leave it unplugged it runs. ???
Also - can't get cgminer to see it, or my computer for that matter.  Any drivers necessary?  Using Win7 Home Premium.
Not sure if the two issues are related.

A. Plug nothing from the PSU to the GR board other than

1. the 4 Pci-e connectors
2. whatever the cooler pump needs to run (the H110i was a sata connector)
3. You can power additional fans from the board or PSU.

B. Have you installed the drivers using zadig first? Cancel any OS detected HW driver install (takes a moment to actually cancel the process) when you plug the GR in.

Thanks Ranger!  So I have ZADIG installed and my pc says it sees a "Mass Storage Device" by Alcor Micro Corp.  Since it's the only usb plugged in beside the mouse I assume that's the GR.
But I still can't get cgminer to see it.  I have tried starting cold and using the .bat file above.  In both cases I get:

EDIT: On second look and trying to get to run on another PC, I don't think it's the Mass Storage Device.  When I plug the usb in from card the computer has zero reaction.

Well that did not work.  But turning the card off, plugging the card into the PC, then turning it on got it recognized.
Now my issue is in literally 2 seconds it resets I believe due to thermal overload.  Though I don't understand how that can be after 2 seconds.
Then it restarts 4-5 times reducing the voltage each time.  But each time I get the same error as below.
I may need to tighten up the cooler, but this seems like something else.  The temp reads 25C when it cycles down. Any ideas?

Didn't you say you didn't get any heatsinks? I wonder if that could be what is causing the overheating.

I did not get any but have not heard officially that I was suppose to.  Plus the temperature reading is only 25C, which I believe is just room temperature.
I don't think the card could heat up that much in 2-3 seconds anyway.  Just does not make sense.

Ken said he wails check them but it took him forever to do so and now he hasn't given me replacements or refunds so I ordered a goldrush card and my order got cancelled. I have the receipt of the returned prospectors but nobody from Vmc will talk to me. This is going to be a serious law suit if I do t get compensation very soon. I'm sorry for your trouble.  I don't have the link handy, but I believe there is already a lawsuit afoot that you might be able to join.

I hope anyone thinking of taking a risk with this company and these boards is reading this thread.  There seems to be nothing but abysmal failure coming out of VMC.  Unfortunately this, from my understanding, is par for the course.

Ya, if there's ANY Thermal issues on CGMiner it's almost always bad contact with the board on your cooler.

This can go multiple ways
   Not tight enough
   Too tight
   Bad spreading of thermal paste

It pretty much has to be perfect on these boards for them to work. If you don't put the backplate on correct and the board warps a little because you have the cooler on too tight it can also give issues to the temp reader and cause errors too.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, keep repeating the cooler until it works :P

Well this has been a testing week...

I got the wiring kit... this was a mistake.

Neither gold rush board showed up as a USB device when connected via the USB header. It took me until today to figure out (after ordering some micro-usb cables on a whim) that in fact the boards only seem to respond on the Micro USB port.

One board is clocked and running nicely at 887mhz, not sure on exact hashrate yet, but I believe it should be around the 670gh/s mark. Clocking above 887mhz causes problems, although I'm relatively confident on the thermal setup I've got running.
The second board I ran out of thermal paste so I've got it clocked at 300mhz until I get some more.

How to run multiple Gold Rush/Prospector cards on the same host machine, at different clock rates:

Do this one by one for each board:
1. Plug in Board1
2. Run CGminer with the flag
Code:
--hfa-name board1
3. Quit CGMiner and un-plug the board.

Do this with each board

After you quit CGMiner the last time, and you've named each card, plug all of the cards back in.

Run CGMiner with the flags
Code:
--hfa-fan 100 --hfa-options "board1:750,board2:850,board3:950"

Obviously for each additional board you just need to add another comma separated item. The number after the board name is the clockrate for that board.

The --hfa-fan 100 isn't required, but helps keep temps down on startup.

You mind posting details/pics of how you attached the water block? I "reengineered" mine last night and made it worse... :(

Thanks!

I used the leftover bits and pieces from the H100i water cooler to build these little legs which hold the board about an inch up allowing for excellent flow underneath. You can see here also the aluminium heatsink which fits on the back of the board.

Coming soon to a youtube near you...

Verdict:
Don't bank on more than 650gh/s
Much easier to setup than a prospector card, but still super sensitive to heatsink mounting.
The USB header doesn't work, so get yourself a Micro USB cable.

And why not can up to 750Gh/s ?

h100i is better

They advertise +/- 20%, so 600gh/s is (technically speaking) within specification, although I don't think they should be advertised at 750gh/s

Good Card.  Consider yourself lucky.
My masking tape said 633 Gh/s and I can get it to about that, sometimes a bit higher.  Still almost 20% below advertised.
Corsair 100i with monster fans of about 135 CFM added.  Temp does not get above 85C.

I noticed, that when starting cgminer, hashrate looks really desireable.. but then those messages pop up:

NOTICE: Hash Core Error: Squelching die 0 core 80
etc..

after a while when al lot of cores are "Squelched" hashrate stables to that what is seen on pool about 480G  :(

I'd really like to know how was it tested 707G as the label said inside the box...

I'll try to improve cooling in few days, see if that helps..

My Cgminer keeps shutting down with the error" LIBSUM_ERROR_PIPE" which is apparently error you get when the software sends a command that the hardware is not capable of.  At least as far as I google it.
Ended up installing CGWatcher to restart the miner when it locks up.  Seems to be working better now.
Anyone else with similar error?

Assuming you mean 707GH/s, that is impossible with 800MHz. The chip can only do 768 hashes per clock on an absolutely perfect chip even without factoring in any losses due to HW errors, rejects, work restarts, etc. At 800MHz your theoretical max is about 614GH/s though you could go above that (especially briefly) due to variance at high difficulties.

If you want to see how many cores are still active after awhile, turn on debugging in cgminer and look for the inflight value in the OP_GWQ_STATUS message.

I'm interested in what kind of open loop system you're planning? I was looking at doing some absolute benchmarking open loop just using the city water supply, but that's really not viable for anything other than short term stress testing. I've often thought it would be a great use of lake/riverside property, but I definitely don't have any of that.
If you could make it work though, evaporative cooling would be a cool project.

Yes, we take BTC,

Order and select wire transfer and in the comment put that you want to pay with bitcoins.  We will then send you a bitcoin address and the amount of bitcoins to pay.

Also:

Anyone running these on a rpi?

I recall Ken actually sent a pre-configured RPI to a customer who was having trouble, so at least one person is using an RPI, but I suspect there are others. I think VinceSamois is using one, but I'm not sure.

nope, but it's not that hard,

2) write it to SD card: http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/README.md (http://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/README.md)
3) connect microusb for power and monitor and keyboard to rasbPi and boot up, there will be little setup, i think you should do the 1st step atleast (just choose to enlarge partition, and all will be automatic)
4) connect fash-hast card to raspbery, after that when typing 'lsusb' you should see a new device that was not there before you connected fash-hast card.
5) install some more packages:
sudo apt-get install build-essential autoconf automake libtool pkg-config libcurl3-dev libudev-dev
6) clone cgminer from git
git clone git://github.com/ckolivas/cgminer.git
7) compile
cd cgminer
./autogen
./configure --enable-hashfast
make
 ;) run cgminer as usual

EDIT: And don't forget to tip ckolivas :)

Got my first goldrush today, nicely packaged and everything.

Everything worked fine until i was gonna mount the h110 cooler, I cant for the life of me get it snug to the cores  ???

It gets contact, because there is coolingpaste on the cooperplate.. but you can see there is a little space between.

Seems the screws i got with the h110 are wrong, i have put it together (to the best of my knowledge) according to the instructions..

Anyone have any tips?  ::)

Has anyone contacted VMC to see what they'll do for miners that fall outside of the +/-20% variance?

It seems that ~650Gh/s is a more realistic expectation from these.

Do you have any image?

nope, but it's not that hard,

I did something like this:

1) download Debian Wheezy rasbperryPi image from here: http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ (http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/)

I may be incorrect here but if you did not get cgminer from GIT then autogen is not needed. Just configure and make.

i have put it together (to the best of my knowledge) according to the instructions..

there is your problem.. you need to be creative :) I get my h110 tomorrow, will keep you posted then.. at the moment my board is hashing 450-550G with h100i @800MHz

Great :) hope you have better luck with it  ;D

Well I am sad to report that my GR card is no longer recognized by any system after I plugged in an additional fan to the board (fan 2 header). I am now at a loss. The board powers up with the normal lights and the normal indicators when USB is plugged in. after that, nothing is recognized.

What I did to "cause" this...
1. All systems running stable ~600GH/s @ ~90C @ 800MHz
2. Power Card down
3. Plug additional fan into fan2 header pins
4. Power up card (new fan was spinning)
5. nothing, card usb not seen by multiple systems.

Anyone have any troubleshooting ideas here?

I contacted Ken and company but have had no response.

My card was running off and on (off for liquid block placement) for roughly <2 weeks total.

Thanks!

You should be fine with your cooler, just attach better fans to the radiator.
Double cfm fans, double the cooling :)

Perhaps try removing the second fan and seeing if it comes back to life.  I half recall there being issues with power when running multiple fans.

ok, here I go:

indeed, using parts that came along with h110 watercooler, it is not possible to fit it on card, there will be a small cap..
so I used kids construction parts that were laying around.. and fitted into coolermaster mini-itx 130 case, I must say H100i is easyer to install on the miner board and into that chassi, also H100i is same size as air-intake holes on the side of case, although I leave cover off..

Temps seem to be about the same.. this card was 659GHz tested, 0.88v.. for me eligius about the same performance or maybe a 20G+ more.. time will tell..

Still I wonder how to rise voltage to the same step as "tested" label indicates...

I must say I lake the design of my miner.. If building it would not be so expensive and time consuming, I would add rPi and voila, you would get a nice miner :) for now I have some more to build for myself ;)

EDIT: ok,, system with H100i get hotter.. it sits infront of air ventilation hole and gets hotter than system that has H110 and is next to it but does not have fresh and cool air ventilation hole in front of it.. so for next systems for me it is H110 or H100i + better fans..

Wow, not even 600 GH/s per card.  I've been following this thread to see if anyone has had the magic touch to push them to 700 or up.

Still waiting on the sidelines.  Decent price too.

My cgminer totals were in the 800+GH/s range while mining at eligius but the actual hash rate from the pool showed what I had normally on other pools-550-600 GH/s.

No one has answered where/what/how the "masking tape" test results came from but I know of no one getting more than 650GH/s out of any of the GR cards in the wild. I personally never was above 600GH/s at any time.

Has anyone contacted VMC to see what they'll do for miners that fall outside of the +/-20% variance?

It seems that ~650Gh/s is a more realistic expectation from these.

I think it's pretty well accepted at this point that they'll ignore you and your inquiries.

Other then for payment, yea, so far, nothing...

How are the miners performing?

at least 13% under the promised 750gh/s spec.  over 30% under spec in my case.

Ken just informed VMC shareholders that he was heading out West to work at tweaking miners in the ActM mining farm. Perhaps he'll come back with some instructions on how to set these units up to get closer to the advertised speeds?

One time I lost my card also, I powered it off, then removed power cable, and powered it on again (without cable) so all those energy things I do not know the word in english will disappear and after that my card was happily found and hashing again

Did you remove some of the mounting plastics for the heatsink, or you used what was stated in the h110 manual? seems to me it should be possible to get it close enough by removing one of the small plastic clips, allowing it those extra mm's more closer to the cores..

OP has these "750G/hash" for $849 and sells the older or other chips "512G/hash" for $1999   what gives?  Im interested in the newer one if the price matches to performance.  I mean if it was about 20% less since most see 20% less performance..  Nice design either way.  Look forward to seeing the manufacturer paying a little more attention to this thread!

Well I've tried email to the website, PM's on here and phone calls - nothing sadly. Eager to take BTC but not to provide any further communications. I'll be requesting refund at COB today if I don't at least get an acknowledgement of communications. Pretty shocking really.

What makes you think any new request, especially for a refund, is going to get any response?

My card is now dead, it never hashed to the minimum spec and no one from VMC or Ken has responded and probably never will, if recent history is any guide. VMC could have been something good if only someone, anyone would put on the customer service hat for a day and answer some requests...

Edit- I received a blurb from Ken on the VMC site that the warranty is 10 days for DOA. I am not sure if this is Ken's way of saying "tough shit" on a card that died within this 10 day period and never performed as advertised or if this is a general statement, so I responded with how to process the replacement of the card that died within this 10 day period. We shall see...

Interesting. I think this is the first recorded case of DOA, then. Many had issues with setup but I don't think anyone has had a board simply die yet. Keep us updated.

Unrelated:

Ill definitely give it a shot when I get home. One board at 440 and the other at 350.
Do you think using the stock fans on the H100i may be part of the reason why my hash rate is a little low? Hopefully your tool will help me with my other problem of tightening the pump onto the chips.
The problem is cgminer, the old versions don't have the --hfa-hash-clock command and forces the cards to run at 550MHz (~400GH/s)

There's a couple tools that will be coming out. One is a generic HF tool that allows the voltage to be set, while the other provides stats for the Habaneno. Let me ping Gateway on our program, I know he was making some changes to it but I think they were primarily cosmetic.

This might be relevant for some of you guys. I recommend keeping an eye on the Habanero thread for other information on the Hashfast clones. Of course, some of the info might be specific to the Hab. board.

My board was not DOA, it just died in the 10 day timeframe. Just for clarity. :)

I think I'll get a response as I've actually paid for something and received nothing, you have received something. In any country I'm pretty sure paying and not receiving goods is illegal

Wow!

Any specific tips, tricks, or tweaks? I don't have one of these boards but I'm reading that a lot of people are having issues getting them much past 600gh/s.

This tool is ONLY useful for HashFast or Pepper Mining boards, basically anything using the Golden Nonce chip from Hashfast.

My god man, read the thread.  Due diligence is up to you to perform.  There are, at the very least, a handful of people that are having DOA issues and being hung out to dry.  There are, at the very least, every single person in this thread who have not achieved 750GH/S at 0.83W/GH.  In fact, Mr. Teal who stopped in here briefly was kind enough to point out that these chips are seemingly incapable of reaching those speeds at that consumption.

Do some reading on VMC/AMC and Ken Slaughter.  Make an educated and informed decision.

Don't take the chance, I've handed over 3.44BTC for 3 boards and got nothing, no communications, acknowledgements. It's basic theft, absolutely appalled by this.

Quite why the company doesn't have a Z rating in the trust worthiness guide is beyond me.

Currently seeking legal advice....

edit: perhaps not looking at - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=462370.3720 it looks like VMC are going bust big style.

Dunno...

If it's any consolation, VMC is in the 'Bottom 3' (as opposed to the Top 3, I suppose).
LOL, I think Butterfly Labs is in a league of their own as far as the 'Z' rating, so I think they've got a ways to go.

Also, a lot of people had issues of one sort or another with Hashfast, so I can understand that one...

I do see this note on the Comments:

Offered and honoured refunds from the start. Clones now appearing, original chips not yet ready.

If you feel that strongly about it, and can show Dogie proof that you've paid and gotten nothing from them, he may downgrade them to a C- or a D.

Just a thought.

625GH/s is about what you should expect with 850MHz. The chip can only do a maximum of 768 hashes per clock cycle, so factoring in bad cores, rejects, HW errors, etc a good rule of thumb is MHz*0.75=GH/s, if all is well.

I have VMC board, but it uses same chip, so maybe some of you have any ideas what to do?

and over and over again same thing, detect errors disabling, detect ...

I tried restarts, shutdowns, hfa-hash-clock down to 300.. still nothing

EDIT: heh.. pump sata power connector disconneted ;) but now there is another problem:

lots of hash core error (they were also here before that power came loose).. what is the cure for that?

Lol yes - pump disconnected will do bad things.

Are you allowing cgminer to squelch cores? It's the same core giving you errors.

I see squelching in cgminer logs (at least for other boards), so I guess it is allowed.. It's always die 0 but different cores..
