If the developer is legitimately taking a premine to cover the coin's operational costs for future bounties/promotions I fail to see the difference. Most pools don't give away any of the funds they receive to further the development of the coin. They just add more coins to their pool and evolve into a multi-pool. So it's ok to take 1-2% in fees to support other coins but it's not ok to take 1-2% to support the actual coin? Sure there are alot of devs that will dump their premine onto the exchange which kills alot of these altcoins. But I believe if a dev is really using a premine for the benefit of the community then what is the harm in it?
