I'm not getting any link to my mailing account after clicking " Forgot Password " I waited for 2-3 hours and tried 15-20 times. EDIT**Checked SPAM too.
From last one week or so I was receiving messages from some random member whom i don't know.
I don't know if my acc/ is hacked or I'm banned due to some reasons . If I'm banned for some reasons its fine, I might have done something wrong , but if its not banned/blocked I would request MODS to help me out here :) thanks.

I got before -----BEGIN SIGNATURE----- part but don't know what to insert in <insert signature here> what kinda signature is required to prove my authenticity. I just don't want my acc/ to be used by some other person on this forum. Thanks

You need to sign a message using your bitcoin wallet, with an address which you have associated with your forum account in the past (in a PM).

Have you included a bitcoin address in a post or PM in the past?

Yeah I have included my bitcoin address in my previous acc/ just don't have idea about how to sign a message using my bitcoin wallet.

Which wallet client are you using? Bitcoin Core? Multibit? Electrum? Armory? blockchain.info?

1. Click "Receive Money", and find the address you used in your original account.
2. Click "Actions" and click "Sign Message".
3. Enter the message and click the "Sign Message" button.
4. Copy the signature, and include it in your PM to theymos.

It seems like I didn't sent the bitcoin signed message to theymos in correct format , or maybe theymos is lil busy with other stuff that he didn't read it yet. Waiting now, I hope it gets shorted out soon.

If you're waiting a long time (few days) maybe you could post your PM here. I'm sure if there's a mistake in the format, someone could point it out to you.

No I'm not, which is one of the reasons I said wait a few days.

The PM looks ok to me though so I guess he is just busy.

Did you note this at the bottom of Theymos' post:

Contact theymos with a signed message showing your new recovery email/date from an address you have previously used through that account (and with a link as well to make it smoother).

If you check the above posts, you should see that:
1. OP knew that after deadley and Maged's help. (Post 2, 4)
2. He learned how to sign message after a little bit discussion with us. (Post 11)
3. He has sent the PM with everything needed already. (Post 16)

I'm just wondering how it all happened, on the night of 20th june my acc/ was working without any problem and the next morning it says I entered a wrong password , today I sent a PM to myself to test whether I get a notification on my mialing acc/ or not but I didn't got any, so it is clear that my email is not in batabase anymore ..! how is it possible there are no signs that its been hacked because no one tried to login into my acc/ after 20th.
what I'm trying to say is if there is any such vulnerability that someone might exploit in future...

Theymos is active most of the times on this forum..! and I can understand he got a lot to do apart from reassigning my acc/ a mailing address. but take a look into it if you get some time , thanks

I just realized that the message I sent earlier to theymos was different to what i signed SORRY FOR THAT ..!
 now I sent theymos another PM with a signed message and this time i verified it to know if it is indeed correct . I hope I'll get it back now. :)

Usually how much time Theymos takes to resolve the account recovery PM. Anyone here recovered their accounts in past..? if yes how much time it takes, I sent a PM to theymos 3 days ago.?

No I haven't recovered my acc/ yet..! and I sent a PM to theymos on 24th if i'm not mistaken with time difference. How can you help, you had any similar experience in past..?

If he doesn't answer after a couple days, send it again, it probably got buried/lost. I'll sometimes leave a pm for later then forget about it when something else comes up, or it gets buried in a flood of reported pms. A mention it's the 2nd/3rd/4th time you've sent may help, but don't be a douche about it.

A PM from your side to theymos might help.
I Just sent theymos one more PM on same Subject . I can understand how difficult it is to manage something like bitcointalk and handle all the queries ..!

Naa that's not me .  and that's the problem, if someone else uses that acc/ or sells it to someone with bad intentions ...! I again request mods to pls take a look in this issue as I'm trying to recover my account from 12 days and sent 5 bitcoin signed Pm's to theymos to prove my authenticity ,  I don't know what else i have to do..!

What about sending the "recover account PM" to badbear as well?
It won't help you recover the account, but badbear should be able to confirm you are the original account owner and give the account a negative trust for "possibly hacked" to prevent scams.

I sent a PM to badbear few days ago... but If you say I'll do it again..! I don't know whether he was able to check my last PM or not I never got any acknowledgement.

I checked the messages you sent me, both of them fail to verify, including the one you sent me this morning. You broke it by adding extraneous spaces, <> symbols, and/or bold tags. I took the information provided and made the message myself properly, and it verifies fine, I sent you the correctly formatted message, though I don't know if theymos is going to bother reading your messages now.

If you format the message properly, you should be able to copy the entire message directly and verify it. I would recommend everyone test your own message before sending it. https://brainwallet.github.io/#verify If you copy your message there, and nothing happens when you hit verify, your message is not correct. I don't recommend you use their tool to sign though.

This is a properly formatted signed message, and can be copied directly to verification field and will pass, try it yourself.

Thanks Badbear that is all what I was asking for  Although I verified the message before sending it to theymos but I did it manually on blockchain by entering data in 3 fields [btc address, Message , Sign] , I didn't knew I have to verify the whole message at once , my bad . And yeah I can understand this issue has a low priority on theymos's list as he has to deal with lots of other much more complicated/important stuff..!

That'll certainly get his attention. Perhaps not in the way you want though.  :D

Also, when sending PMs with a signed message put the message and the signature in separate code fields(e.g. [code ]some text[/code ] (just without spaces at the end of the word "code") ). Different browsers see the text differently otherwise (additional new lines, etc.). I experienced this myself once.

Ok tried this now..! sent a bitcoin signed msg to theymos using  from other account. but I'm afraid I'm just making him mad now I have sent him 6-7 pm's in last 2 weeks and first few of them were in wrong format .

I don't know whether someone successfully logged into my account or this is something else maybe a failed attempt to login from my side [but i don't think if that changes the last active field], or maybe theymos trying to fix my acc .

If theymos can't recover it , I request to pls block it so that hackers can't misuse it.

I think I can't recover it now , so  I request either block it if possible or leave a negative feedback if anyone see's someone trying to sell it. or started posting through it , If I'll get it back I'll post it here, otherwise Someone else is using it. Sad thing is that I still can't figure out whether I lost it to some hacker or some glitch in system.

Ok I banned it, it can be unbanned if it gets restored.

Did you told password to any friends or someone else? Is the e-mail linked to the account yours? If he changed, then you will get an approval mail,right?

I don't think any of my friends did it  I'm quite sure about that , and I don't know whether we get any approval mail while changing profile , I didn't got one[not even in spam] so i think thats the way it is, and when I tried to recover my password through my e-mail it says something like "this username doesn't exist " so I still can't figure out whats the case.

The accounts are never deleted, even if they have been banned permanently.  :)

Because deleting it will create so much chaos. because that might delete all the posts that member made from that account  and that can create so much ambiguity in threads . and there are so many other problems with deleting an account like in this particular case Bad bear banned it so that no other person can use it and if somehow it gets restored it can be used without any problem.

Now I'll be using this account and will forget about that one. Just hoping same thing doesn't happen to this one.
