Crypto-Trade v2.0 is now live! Invest. Trade. Be free.

Dear friends and users of Crypto-Trade.com,

this is the news that everyone has been waiting for so long: we have just released version 2.0 of our beloved cryptocurrency exchange and IPO hosting platform.
In order to give you a short summary of every new feature, improvement and change we made, we would like you to take a look at the changelog below.

As you already might have noticed, Crypto-Trade v2.0 is not only a small update - it's a major overhaul in many ways!
We are happy to say that we were able to improve Crypto-Trade in terms of design, performance, quality and even in terms of administration. Yes, right.
From now on, Crypto-Trade will be managed by cdev and mysteryman, two of our three founding members, supported by their dedicated team.
Because of ongoing serious personal reasons, neotrix has stepped back from Crypto-Trade for an indefinite period of time. We wish him all the best and want to point out
that the door is not closed and he's invited to return at any time. Sad as it may seem, we're glad of having clarified all competences and are ready to lead Crypto-Trade to a glorious and profitable future!

With this significant set of changes coming up, we decided to create a new official bitcointalk thread that can be found here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=702028.msg7934075#msg7934075.
For any questions regarding Crypto-Trade Exchange or Crypto-Trade securities (CTB/CTL), please stick to this thread, as the other one will be closed soon.

++ Future of Crypto-Trade ++

Now where we released this major milestone, we're focusing on bringing more people to Crypto-Trade in order to increase the
overall volume. This will mainly happen by doing add campaigns on several major bitcoin/altcoin websites and by starting promotional events.

But we also would like to encourage everyone of you to come back to Crypto-Trade and take at least a sneak peak into our awesome new site.
If you like it, please feel free to share your thoughts with all your friends (and earn up to 25% of commissions on their trading fees by using your referral link).
If not, please let us know about the reasons.

In the meanwhile, feel free to follow us on twitter (@Crypto_Trade) and on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/CryptoTrade) or drop by at our new shoutbox to get the latest crypto gossip.

Best regards and happy trading!
Crypto-Trade Team

Thank you for the site upgrade.  I am a bit disappointed that with such a major upgrade that active_order_count for the privateInfo API call wasn't fixed.  It has never worked and it is looking like it never will.

I have one request though...
Please include all 8 decimals in the prices in orderbook, its easier to read.

to clearfy:  if the price is  0.0025   show it as  0.00250000

One of my test cases creates and order, verifies its there and attempts to cancel it.
Fails on the cancel step due to the bad response but the order was canceled.

Why trades history hard split to currencies and Securities if custom filter exist at same time?

and in any case it operates at half:
If I choose Securities - sites shows Securities only (as expected)
If I choose Currencies - sites shows both Currencies and Securities

Same with Order History.

If you're missing CINNI or UTC: this is because their wallets are currently causing problems - we're working on that.
No coins will be lost, it's just that CINNI cannot find any peers and UTC has a very high response time. We're already in contact
with devs to solve this issues.

Some more bugs.

I make my first trade after v. 2.0 upgrade and found what my trades NOT showed in "My Trades" table (under order list of chosen pair)

This is my trades:
Quote
2014-07-23 17:33:25   LTC/USD   Buy   8.05   11   88.55
2014-07-23 17:02:16   LTC/USD   Buy   8.05   4   32.2

It shown in "Trades" table (where list of all trades from all users on this pair) but not listed in "My Trades" table (where list of own trades only)
Seems new engine does not recognize that it was my trades.

Works for me.
Maybe you have some Kind of filter activated, such as start date/end date, type, etc.?
Or maybe you changed sorting for your table, so it shows your trades in ascending order?

Is your trade completed? Otherwise it appears in "Orders" not in "Trades" tab.

Maybe you not understand me...

I meant table shown when choosing a particular trading pairs. For example LTC/USD:
https://crypto-trade.com/currencies/trade/ltc_usd

About recent CINNI/UTC issues:

We think we have finally found the bug that leads to a CPU consumption of 100% and prevents (or let's say extremely slows down) UTC and CINNI transfers to/from CT: it's a phenomenom called PoS dust, mentioned by David Latapie in his "How PoS works" article, which can be found here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=606342

Third: Compounded interest
Leaving a wallet open 24/7 costs more electricity (and CPU power, more on this later) but also make you benefit more from compounded interest (interests adding to capital so that next time capital to base interest upon will be bigger - in a bank, you compound your interest once an year, in crypto, at the end of each period, so every twenty days for Mintcoin). If you received all of your coins in just one big transaction, you could just stick to open wallet at every stake period and this is it. You receive your coins, and they count for the next stake. But if you received them in several parts (99% of users) there are end-of-period occuring a lot and so opportunity for compounding interests occuring a lot (in other words, "it's every day twenty days"). By just opening you wallet every 20 days, you are actually losing compounded interest. Notice that with compounded interest, you should achieve more than 20% interest on Mintcoin (at the cost of electricity, though and less CPU-mining power, though). It is not worth it if you don't have a lot of coin (except if you don't pay for your electricity).
Beware though: the multiplication of the end-of-period generates "dust", something similar to fragmentation on a disk. This won't increase the size of your wallet, but it will require more CPU power. You may end up with 100% CPU usage. Raspberry or VPS are ways to mitigate this. Another way is to resort to "spring cleaning": every once in a while, you move all your coin to another wallet; you sacrifice every coin age to get back to a normal level of CPU usage. Heartbreaking.

The Problem we have is about this part: "[...]every once in a while, you move all your coin to another wallet[...]" which is actually very frustrating for an exchange, cause there are hundrets/thousands of wallets to move.

--> Cdev is now going to start this procedure, so this will hopefully and finally fix this §"$#!

We're really sorry about this delay.

Some PoS coins like BC provide a switch/option to disable PoS , and almost all PoS coins allow the use of reservebalance to prevent staking from occurring, so the reserve can be set higher then wallet balance and no staking will occur.

Blackcoin is one of the only PoS coins where fragmentation is not an issue as it seems to be for the clones of it and PoS coins that came out before it and not updated or set limits for the split after staking.  BC only splits the first stake once whereas the other continue to split with each stake indefinitely.  With my own wallets that do this i sweep in a lump amount every so often to prevent it getting too fragmented, BC is the only coin I never need to do this with, and other coins that have higher min age like 1 month (PoW/PoS) which would be a year at least before the inputs needed to be lumped together again by sweeping to another address.

Can you add auto-refresh(update) tables with current market orders list after each active user action (like sending  new order or removing old) as it was in old (v.1) CRYPTO-TRADE?

Now it needed to update whole page manual each time to see changes - and its annoying.

Dear Mad_Max,
our tables - of course - do auto-refresh.
Maybe you have some kind of browser plugin enabled that prevents them from doing it?
Could you please try to disable one plugin after another and see if this helps?
If it does not, would you please send us a ticket via Helpdesk.crypto-trade.com and
give us some information about your browser and browser Version?
Thank you :)

Same problem here. :(

Did the same as Carnth, sending a support ticket. Same question, anything else I can do?

UTC issues have been fixed and all pending deposits/withdrawals should already appear where they belong. Just in case you're using UNIX and run into same problems with PoS coins as we did:
reservebalance=<presentbalance> will help.

If you're getting a CSRF (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cross-site_request_forgery) error while logging in, please
try the following:

- make sure that Crypto-Trade is opened in only one browser tab
- your session is not opened for more than 20min (otherwise please refresh login page)

Not really lost, I think the new system has trouble with the length and/or certain symbols in it. Not the first time I have this problem, some sites let me register a pass but when inputting it in the loginform it gives a wrong pass error and I need to reset the pass and generate a new pass without certain symbols. So I think something gets stripped in my pass when login in which makes it a password mismatch.

...I lost my security question answer though, lesson learned for the future to enter those more carefull.  :P

Hey Skull88:
would you please provide us some information about what special char(s) you used when you had this wrong pass issue?
Cdev told me that all chars should be allowed, so he's curious about what may have caused this.
So we would really appreciate if you open a ticket on Helpdesk.crypto-trade.com and try to describe what might be special
about your pass - without giving out too much information ;)
Thank you :)

It is not browser issue - i already try to disable plugins and try 2 different browsers (Mozilla FireFox and Google Chrome) before write here - not help.

But now i found source of problem myself: tables in new design not auto-refresh because you for unknown reason use non standard port for script which do auto-refresh (=4446)
And i use strict security polices on computer used for trading (launch of all executables and all Internet connections disabled by default excluding only allowed by manual added rules/list)
So all connections attempts to this port was blocked by firewall without warning/notice. (while all other functions work fine via standard 443/80 ports)
After i found this (in logs) and add rule to allow browser to connect to 4446 and do logout/login cycle tables start auto-refresh after each new order/trade.

I would have to say this was most likely my problem. Maybe the passwords were transferred from one database to another and "html-ized" For example {space} character being converted to + or other things like that.

How else am I supposed to use "correct horse battery staple" as my password?

Maybe you not understand me...

I meant table shown when choosing a particular trading pairs. For example LTC/USD:
https://crypto-trade.com/currencies/trade/ltc_usd
It have no any filter or sorting options at all

NOT table in my account (https://crypto-trade.com/member/trades/currencies) - this one work normal and shows all my trades correctly.

And yes it is finished trades - i can see them in account trade history, by not see in "my trades" table on trade pairs pages. One more latest example:
Date                         Type   Price (USD)   Amount (LTC)   Total (USD)
2014-07-23 21:33:01   Sell    8.02   10   80.2

Seems i found when this happen:
if i do "market" trades - sell or buy from orders placed by someone else (with instant executions)  this trade included in "my trades" table.
But if i place limit order and later someone buy/sell from/to my waiting order - this trades not included in "my trades" table.

This behavior is "as designed" and not a bug :)
I talked to cdev and maybe we're going to add another table that tracks your filled orders directly below the orderbook, if more user demand this.
But from my memory, other exchanges handle their "my trades" table exactly the same way.
No all other exchanges where such tables exist (resent user trades history on currently selected trade pair - not all exchanges have it) it include ALL user trades on selected pair not matter whether it was instant execution trade or trade transaction from pending order.
Or at least all exchanges where I am registered (and have such tables):
MintPal
Cryptsy
BTER
UpBit
Crypto-Trade (previous before this update - v.1.0)

All have this table work same as common Recent Market History table only filtered to current user + buy/sell reversed if trade was from pending order
What why i surprised by such behavior and initially thinks  this is bug.

OK, now tables work same as on all other exchanges.

Can you contact admin of cryptocoincharts.info about v.2.0 update? Trade volumes data collections from Crypto-Trade is broken after v.2.0 update:

Probable due changes in API
I know it is not your error. But you should be interested to have your exchange listed in such services with real trade volumes, not a zero volume somewhere in the bottom of the list.

Yes, our Cronjob tool messes up yesterday and revealed some of our users email addresses.
We stopped this process as soon as we noticed it, but less than 1.6% of all addresses were still leaked to some users.
We feel deeply sorry about this, but we cannot change it now.
Your passwords are still 100% safe, but if you were affected by this bug, we strongly recommend you to check your account and activate 2FA or Change your Password.

@knybe: Pls contact our helpdesk via the link in my signature as this is not the place to discuss your problem. Is there a connection between the newsletter leak and your broken account or did this happen before?

NOTE: 2fa was never disabled as no user DB data was touched or modified during V2 update except few who had trouble logging in with it but it never got disabled!!

1) 2fa is a double-security mechanism which does not mean you should set up a weak password which can be hacked.
2) If your 2fa got disabled somehow for some unknown reason which we are sure it didn't , you should have known that if you atleast tried to login once after crypto-trade V2 update which you never did.
3) If you saw that you 2fa was disabled you should have contacted us after trying to log in or enabled yourself.

We already replied to your ticket on 08/03/2014 (Ticket #423047), so its not a good way to accuse us of not replying to your ticket.

Right now the BTC from voting for new altcoins goes to promotion and similar.

It would be a good move to give a portion of the voting to shareholders. That way a part can be used to pay for first setup and some promotion but at the same time benefit shareholders (who made it possible to earn from any voting in the first place) a little.

I propose 10% of the BTC that the winning votes paid.

After another talk with cdev we agreed on not including it for now since the benefit for shareholders is greater if we use the money to raise overall volume (marketing campaigns) and hereby trading fees and dividends. Amount from payed votes would be approx. as low as 1 BTC /2 (50%) /~9000 per share PER MONTH (/~4 for weekly divs), so shareholders wont even notice the inclusion.. but with 1 BTC invested in marketing, CT would be able to publish a sponsored story or a small banner ad campaign.

Congrats to the Winners of Crypto-Trade Altcoin Voting Round #2: CarbonCoin (CARBON) & Rimbit (RBT)! BTC+USD coin pairs will be addded ASAP.

What do you mean? Nxt is on top. Where do these shitcoins come from all of a sudden?

NXT is only on top because last rounds winners were already removed.
We pick new coins every two weeks on Sunday, and Carboncoin & Rimbit were ranked #1 & #2.

Attention!!! Someone is sending out phishing emails which appear as 'failed login' messages from Crypto-Trade, but with a Google Drive URL at the end. If you get such an email, dont follow the Google Drive URL and delete the message! I have been robbed 20 minutes ago. It was made from ip 91.236.116.186 in Sweden

I did not get hooked on the phishing emails , how did they managed to get my pass ?

They withdraw my BTC .

3976138   2014-08-22 23:27:46   WithdrawalWithdraw 0.83261204 BTC (-0.001BTC Fees) to 1JB5DQMn8GQfywFMttikMCWoLTuCNbW9cy (TXID:32ba6ed77d799cb6277eecdcba50e17b842b80986d258acd0156bbf3588e537e)
-0.83361204 BTC

My other coins are sold to btc , and in 5 minutes all is withdrawn.

I hope , the steal is not from the site itself , like in mtgox , coinex and so on.

Please , advise me what to do. I have lost in MTgox , not again.

Anyone else , or it is just me ?

@donvitovd:

Every withdrawal from CT must be confirmed by email before it's getting processed.
So you cannot steal someones BTC from Crypto-Trade, without having access to his email account - even if you know the user's login data.
Sorry to say that, but either someone has hijacked your email account or you used a trashmail address that was too obvious.

What's your strategy when you add new currencies? On the one hand not having enough pairs will keep people away, on the other hand having too many pairs with too low volume is equally repelling.
I like the systems you have in place with coin-voting, referrals and reduced fees for a price, yet volume is stagnant or even declining. So what's your plan?

All the users are requested to withdraw their funds within 48 hours. The site will continue to process pending withdrawals till our private wallet is empty. The site will go offline on 29th January 6:00 UTC.

Are you fuc*ng joking? No email, no message here at forum? I've been waiting for certificate renewal, but today emails came about a lot of CT assets buys, so I logged in and saw that! That is some joke, or hack, right? So I just throw away some more money and you'll even keep fees for those transactions? That is some kind of thank you for my support as an investor since BTCT? WHY THE FUCK YOU DID NOT STOP TRADING AND PUT OUT THIS MESSAGE AFTER THAT?

"lack of good userbase" is another joke? So who should do some marketing instead of you? A lot of users here at forum have link to CT in their footers, but YOU are the ones, who should propagate your site!! Or is it just a white horse for koddos? Which didn't pay divs for a long time now too? So two assets of successfully running business are just worthless, but that company operates hapily ever after (with our money).

Another question: why you just dont allow us to download private keys? Where can we put our funds there so quick? To give it to you? We already did that by buying CT assets!! Or should we think your wallets are empty? Are you been playing some ponzi for all that time? Can you answer at least once? Does CT intend to honor its contract with shareholders regarding buyback/liquidation?

Liquidation of the operation in case of closure:
The following steps will be done in case of the company’s closure. At best, the company will be sold to a competitor or to another big company willing to expand their business in the field of crypto currencies. 50% of sales price will redistributed to shareholders as a final dividend in order to close the fund. In a worst scenario, all assets will be liquidated and 50% of revenues will be redistributed to shareholders.Every potential investor is requested to analyze this offer carefully before going ahead, to ensure that it meets the
expectations and requirements.

I will be surprised, if they at least say "thank you". They simply don't care, just like those KODDOS folks. Not even replying to support tickets/emails.

Does CT intend to honor its contract with shareholders regarding buyback/liquidation?

I believe they do not have the funds to buyback. But if there are enough people who purchased "shares" why the management not proposes some kind of plan to revive the platform? In the "real" companies world in such case the CEO should contact the shareholders with additional funding request.

The exchange seems to have some interesting ideas, why not try to revive it, topicstarter?

Not that I saw, but then there was 5-mins between when I last looked at the Shoutbox and maintenance mode appearing.

The last two days was badly handled. When CT closed for a week or so last year, they halted trading gave everyone the opportunity to log in and clear their orders and withdraw. I can't help but think that someone else was in charge of the process then.

Yup, that's what I was their fan - because it was handled very well and I had feeling my coins are safe, so I waited patientely. This time it was very bad, I hope that "temporarilly shutdown" isn't just some facade to let people forget for those three months and disappear silently. Still no official note or email.

Extremely poorly handled. I am still inclined to believe this was on purpose. Would be lucky to see Crypto-trade return with neutral respect. The ones to inherit this project have a lot to make up for and the prior operators should be ashamed of themselves, as if they are concerned.

G-r-e-a-t  :-[

I'm sure between the hack last year and now egopay scamming they didn't even want to renew the SSL certificate.

they should have just come forward, take a loss on balances or just explain that they are selling the site to recoup losses. Anyway, let's hope this is for real and someone bought the site, keep the balances and if there¡s any shortcoming just take a cut in the balances instead of operating a fractional reserve. that was the downfall of gox.

Hi Pab,

I've emailed Creative Mining too - no response from them yet either. They posted their intent to move to another asset exchange as a news update on CT, before the site closed - if they were going to 'do a runner', why bother telling us something like that. An update email would be good, not to mention the 4-weeks worth of dividend payments that are now due.

Did you have any BARTER shares? I only had a small number, but still waiting for those to be transferred to Coinsortium.

Creative mining is a issuer of shares that were listed on crypto trade.
Another issuer, Barter, transferred very quickly the shares upon request and was very professional.
Creative wrote would have contacted the shareholders for further instructions but until now nothing happened.

Crypto was silver member at the beginning, but recently i didn't read it anymore.

why police dont arrested them?
And why police must arrest them? if nobody make a complaint police don't know and is not obliged to do anything.
Do we want to complain to the local police? I think it's difficult but perhaps possible.
What you think about?

Creative Mining was created with the intent to give investors the opportunity to participate in Bitcoin mining, without purchasing and maintaining their own hardware.

Project Location

Creative Mining
Seilfahrt, Bochum
North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
office@creativemining.eu

Mining

Creative Mining is a Bitcoin mining project, located in Bochum, Germany. Our miners are kept at a very secured location underground, with access to free electricity grid, up to a maximum of 100kW. These advantages will make Creative Mining competitive with any other mining assets on the market. The company will offer 10,000 non-dilutable shares of a Creative Mining.

Dividends

Dividends will automatically appear in shareholders Bitcoin wallets every Friday. Dividends will consist of 65% of Creative Mining net revenue for the week. Net revenue is defined as the total of all Bitcoins mined minus maintenance costs.
The percentage of the net revenue paid in dividends can change if shareholders vote to change it. Such action will only occur if the state of the Bitcoin mining space demands it.

Reinvestment

Every week, Creative Mining will reserve a percentage of mined Bitcoins equal to 35% of net revenue. These investments will allow Creative Mining to deploy additional hardware. Time of deployment for this additional hardware will be in the best interest of shareholders.

Our Current Mining Set-up

4x 'KNC' Neptunes with first ever 20nm chip, 20 boxes hashing at ~13.8 Th/s total

13x 'CoinTerra' Terraminers with 4 x GoldStrike 28nm ASIC Chips (2 per board) hashing at ~1.6 Th/s each - ~19.7 Th/s total

6x 'Avalon' #2Batch 2 module 160 55nm chips on each module, hashing at ~240Gh/s each - ~1.41 Th/s total

120x 'Gridseed' Dual 5 chips on each module, hashing at ~11Gh/s each - ~1.3Th/s total

19x 'Bitmaintech' AntMiner S3 B6 hashing at ~450Gh/s each - ~9Th/s total

5x 'Bitmaintech' AntMiner S3 B8 hashing at ~455Gh/s each - ~2.4Th/s total

13x 'Bitmaintech' AntMiner S4 B2 hashing at ~2.05Th/s each - ~26.6Th/s total

We bought several miners from Kris, he was very helpful with setting up our little mining operation and configuring the miners. Even when we had problems due to manufacturers fault, Kris honored his agreement with us and replaced faulty miners. Thank you

something i found that makes it seem more likely to be a scam is the wording is very similar to another mining scam that was Cognitive Mining.  prob a copy/paste from that but is possibly the same guy Garr255 except that he appears to be US person and not German/Euro,
Cognitive Mining (asset id Cognitive) was created with the intent to give investors the opportunity to participate in FPGA Bitcoin mining without purchasing their own hardware. 100% of mining revenue will be distributed proportionally among shareholders. One share of the asset gives you one share of the revenue. Operating costs will be paid for by shares held by the operator of the asset. Each share represents a share in the ownership of the hardware. Motions to sell more shares can be raised by shareholders if 25% agree. 70% of shareholders will need to agree to issue the proposed shares. In the event of liquidation, all revenue will be distributed evenly to shareholders. The operator reserves the rights, regardless of the amount of shares owned, to raise a motion, and sell all hardware. Dividends will be paid weekly. Further information can be found at http://cognitivemining.com/

Anyone have some real details or futher information about them, please post it here if u can help.  If they really are in Germany and can be located then maybe something can be done as they have taken alot of BTC from their investors.

thoughts?

Did you check for the validity of these certificates? There are several ISO9001 Certificates from DQS on the net, the  show a Street address and are in pdf format. Maybe signed but i did not check.

For the registry check for  'Auszug aus dem Gewerberegister' the  appereance of the document from 2014 doesn't present  the presented  document. The appereance looks like the examples from 2003 i found on the net.

So i would bet some satoshis that these are nice photoshops. There are other hints that the 'facts' don't match. Company in germany, but  registry in Wien? Such stupidity is rather common for african  scammers who present dutch passports for  german girls.

Sad.  I didn't have very much money on there, but I'm still dissappointed that these guys closed their doors without so much as an email warning.  I got an email from their system every single time I logged in, why couldn't they have sent an email to people to say, please withdrawal.  It just happened that I didn't check in during their 3 day window...

Huh?  Well I assume I'll still be around and active in three months.  Neverthless, my point was that these guys basically up and stole my money and they won't reply now to any contact attempts.  That's seems pretty low if you ask me.  I don't know how they expect that anyone would believe in any new business they form until the old business gets debt straightened out.

As far as I can tell, this means that these guys stole our money.  I can't imagine why they'd want to "open" again in 3 months just so that we can all reclaim our stolen coins.  Surely they realize that no one is going to trust them in any way at this point.

Exactly.  As far as I can tell, they have zero incentive to reopen in 3 months (now 1 month, I guess) and allow us to withdrawal all the money they stole.  No one is going to leave fundage with them if they reopen and allow us to take our money back.

crypto-trade is such an obviously useful name for people who trade crypto that I suppose that just the fact that they used this name isn't signficant.  I think the people who had this original crypto-trade and who ran off with the money are long gone and we can't really expect them to come back.  If they do, they at least, will certainly use another name.
