Title: [New terms][WTB] $10 btc with paypal. i send first
Post by: h4xx0r on October 07, 2014, 12:38:07 PM
Original Post so the forums paranoid vocal minority can't claim i tried to cover this up
Quote
Hero member or other reputable member only. must have positive trust. After the chargeback window is closed on paypal, or whenever you are ready, you are to send me the btc. I am accepting the risk that you will not send the btc as recorded in your agreement. if you break the agreement or if i break the agreement, negative trust will be left for the breaker of the agreement. after transaction is complete and both users are sure that the deal was successful, positive feedback is to be exchanged with this thread as reference.

This has been updated because according to some people with some pull on this forum feels like this constitutes untrustworthy behavior. I don't feel like this is particularly true, but i do see their side of the argument, since it has been a proven sign of scammers to seek a positive trust, albeit they do it more covertly for the most part.

i do still want to buy into bitcoin using paypal if anyone is interested. I will buy $10 USD worth of bitcoin instead of my original offer of $5.

I still only want to do it with trusted members or atleast someone who is well known and has positive feedback for similar trades, but i am nixing the requirement to exchange trust. I will probably leave you a feedback. you can if you want, it doesn't matter. please do not pm me directly. that is an automatic red flag to me. please post in this thread only.

I was thinking of finding reputable hero members and asking them to do trades with me. i would send first, proving i am trustworthy. Really i just want it for bragging rights. My friends at work will be jealous of my green trust rating

Attempting to buy Trust won't get you much of anywhere and it may even cause your Trust to go the other way.
Bragging rights, really?

Yes, so i am willing to wait several months for the bitcoin to be paid. only to a reputable member with positive trust.

Check this :

Money sent through PayPal and any other money transfer service that accepts credit cards can be easily reversed by the sender, even after several weeks. Therefore, you should only accept PayPal in trades with people you trust very highly.

This is why newbies are not likely to sell their PayPal USD for bitcoins successfully.

Some other services that are not totally safe:
- Bank transfers (ACH, etc.) except wire transfers
- Most gift cards.
- Moneypak
- AlertPay
- Paysafecards
- Dwolla
- Western Union (they reportedly will sue the recipient to recover money in some cases)

So I don't trust you  ;) .
Have a nice day .

Fair enough, though you clearly overlooked my post and inserted your agenda, its whatever to me. I plainly stated i would allow you to wait until the chargeback window is closed before sending the coins.

The chargeback  can be done even after so many months , for example 3-4 months . Do you want to wait 3-4 month to receive your btc ?

I think the answer is : no.

Why don't you withdraw to your bank account and buy with coinbase?  You will have near zero risk and would get your Bitcoin in a week verses months

He will only appear to you as a scammer. To everyone else he is Trust: 0: -0 / +0(0). Why are you trolling now? No one is going to use Paypal so its silly. Most people get negative when they try buy bitcoin with it.

There is still no reason for you to want to do this. There is no reason that you would want this other then to either scam or buy trust.

This is also essentially a interest free loan for you. If the price of bitcoin falls then you can initiate a chargeback and recover your $10, however if the price of bitcoin rises then you profit.

Or you could hope that whoever you "buy" from would not want to wait 6 months to send you their bitcoin so they send before the time you can initiate a chageback expires.

Every scenario works out to you pulling a scam.

To lock thread: click "lock thread" on the bottom left.

You are very immature and issue personal insults when you know nothing about the person. This is an additional reason for me to not trust you. There is no reason for me to confront you as there is more then enough evidence and there is no reason why I would give you he benefit of the doubt
