I used one before for a while, but then it stopped working, can't remember the name now.

I also would like to use another one, but you should be careful about what you install. An android app showing the bitcoin price could be an ideal place to install malware to steal any wallets on your phone, as I read on here before.

Have not use other application for Bitcoin in addition to bitcoin price trend graph. But do not  use it usually.

Have you set the update interval? It can be set right down to seconds which essentially makes it as live as you'll get.

I have used Bitcoin Checker on android and it works very well. On iOS I have used Space Cash: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/space-cash-bitcoin-altcoin/id789603623?mt=8 this is pretty good however for some altcoins it automatically rounds single Litoshi's to .000000010 which is annoying for looking at currencies that trade in single digit litoshis - yeah I know some of the altcoins I acquired really suck... Atleast they are not trading for single xpm parts.

The OP is looking for an android application.

I personally use zero block which, I believe is made by the same people behind blockchain.info. It has live pricing for several exchanges in several currencies as well as both charging and news

I use zeroblock as well and I would recommend it, at least for the iPhone (I am not sure about the UI for android, but I would think it would be just as good). You can customize which exchange the price will be displayed for as well as the currency (if the exchange trades bitcoin in multiple currencies). It also has a news feed that can be customized based on what news sources you want to be able to read

You can use any stock price widget that supports yahoo finance stock ticker codes. Enter "btcusd=x".

Thanks for some of the links in this thread. I'll try a few of them out. Do you guys know if they're a constant drain on the battery? Especially if you set the refresh interval to every second, wouldn't this drain battery much quicker?

On my recycled android, i have a custom rom ... so i have decrease to 206MHz (instead of 1200MHz) and check the "always ON when USB connected" (developper section).

The picture is static on the widget, it refresh every minutes (i use the 1 hour display option for this refresh).

zero block does not drain your battery. I believe it will only refresh each time that you open the app, so unless you are staring at the app all day this should not be an issue
