I used one before for a while, but then it stopped working, can't remember the name now.
I also would like to use another one, but you should be careful about what you install. An android app showing the bitcoin price could be an ideal place to install malware to steal any wallets on your phone, as I read on here before.

Have you set the update interval? It can be set right down to seconds which essentially makes it as live as you'll get.

I have used Bitcoin Checker on android and it works very well. On iOS I have used Space Cash: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/space-cash-bitcoin-altcoin/id789603623?mt=8 this is pretty good however for some altcoins it automatically rounds single Litoshi's to .000000010 which is annoying for looking at currencies that trade in single digit litoshis - yeah I know some of the altcoins I acquired really suck... Atleast they are not trading for single xpm parts.

It has live pricing for several exchanges in several currencies as well as both charging and news

You can customize which exchange the price will be displayed for as well as the currency (if the exchange trades bitcoin in multiple currencies). It also has a news feed that can be customized based on what news sources you want to be able to read

You can use any stock price widget that supports yahoo finance stock ticker codes. Enter "btcusd=x".

Thanks for some of the links in this thread. I'll try a few of them out. Do you guys know if they're a constant drain on the battery? Especially if you set the refresh interval to every second, wouldn't this drain battery much quicker?
