1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: September 06, 2018, 11:19:07 PM
I'm so glad I sold nav when it was 30x the current value.

Dump that shitcoin (and all cryptos) and cash profit Wink

How long does enhanced verification took you?

Sent my id and pic.

I'm waiting since hours.

It's time we get some e-shop to accept Navcoin.

Let's be honest, nobody's trading Nav for goods. It doesn't even exchanges for fiat, almost exclusively bitcoin.

I like the idea of helping the devs, but Nav's a working product and we should do something to spread adoption.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 25, 2017, 09:24:41 AM
told you to sell at 70 sats.

It will never see that price again.

I wrote an article about value of cryptocurrencies if anybody's interested.

I’d like to know what he thinks of gold then and if that differs from his opinion over Bitcoin, why that is.

Gold is irreplaceable: Almost half of the gold sold is used in electronics and medicine. It's not just about jewels.

Gold is unique: it has unique properties.

Gold is scarce. You could fit all the gold in the world on a tennis field.

Bitcoin might be considered scarce as well, but I fail to see how it's irreplaceable: you can fork it, community can decide it's not worth a penny anymore and shift their (financial and technological) resources elsewhere. Bitcoin to fiat exchanges could be banned anyday, who's gonna give a fuck about Bitcoin anymore if not the few anarchists and libertarians left here?

Anyway I find it hilarious how a bunch of no ones criticizes so lightly the most intelligent and successful the world has ever seen.

If Warren Buffet tells you something, you should probably rethink 100 times why you disagree with him rather than pushing this "he's old, he doesn't understand".

Like it or not, Bitcoin has no intrinsic value, if it has one, it's no different than any other coin out there, including the worst shit coins with a 20$ market cap.

Bitcoin has a price.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Warren Buffet: The Idea that Bitcoin has Value “Is Just a Joke” on: November 20, 2017, 06:20:43 PM
In his latest visit to his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, where he hosts a casual event for business students, one of the attendees asked Warren Buffett a question about Bitcoin. As a clarification, Buffett went on to say that cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are “a very effective way of transmitting money, and you can do it anonymously and all that”, but it doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things: “A check is a way of transmitting money, too.

Are checks worth a whole lot of money just because they can transmit money?”. He finished his statement with a harsher criticism of Bitcoin, saying that the “idea that [it] has some huge intrinsic value is just a joke, in my view”.

Buffett tends to lean towards investing in things that have a sustainable inherent value. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is surging past the $8,000 mark even after the SegWit2x drama left its future uncertain.

Although there’s no denying that it’s subject to more volatility than most fiat currencies, there’s a lot to be said about its utility in the market as more stores begin to accept payments in the cryptocurrency. Warren Buffett might not be keen on the idea of pumping capital in Bitcoin’s direction, but other players want a piece of the pie, each for their own reasons.

https://cryptovest.com/news/warren-buffet-the-idea-that-bitcoin-has-value-is-just-a-joke/

As somebody who has read Benjamin Graham's (his professor) books I totally understand the point he comes from.

Bitcoin has a price, but it has no value.

It ins't irreplaceable, it isn't unique, it has no assets, just the consensus around its price which can change any day.

I really wonder how people can truly disagree with the fact that Bitcoin has no "value". Value is an intrinsic property of something. Stocks represent a portion of a business, assets, cash flow, market share, real estate, patents, ecc. Currencies do not represent any of that, not just crypto currencies.

Told you to sell at 70 sats, you guys never listen.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 11, 2017, 12:09:50 PM
I am buying a NAS array in my home (solar-powered) that I'll be leasing out more than Sia... lets see how much cash I can make from it this year.  Perhaps I will expand up to my own small information middle as part of Sia cloud storage system.

Way less than you can mine with burst.

Regardless, dump this coin asap, or you'll regret it.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 10, 2017, 02:56:56 PM
Pro Tip: sell Siacoin now that it has pumped again or you'll regret it again when it's never going back to 70 sats.

As when you bought hoping in 800 sats, or 400, or 300 and then 200 and then 150, do yourself a favor and sell now.
11  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: November 08, 2017, 07:41:23 PM
I will repeat what I always say about it:

IF YOU'RE AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE, DON'T MARRY A PERSON OF YOUR SEX.

Easy as that.

I'm bit more divided about adoptions for gay couples, but marriages? Who cares.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 06, 2017, 03:40:18 AM
I don't think sia can grow up again in the near future.  Cry

Why do people keep coming into this thread with FUD, without doing any research? Sia can definitely grow in the future.

Because nobody cares about decentralized storage.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: November 01, 2017, 02:12:47 PM
Evaluating the status of a project by the price charts vs Bitcoin is a nosense, as Bitcoin has increased by 7x its value in the current year. It is like stating that you are driving backwards in a highway just because a faster car passed you by. If you compare the price vs FIAT, the value of SC has been moving in the range of 0.35-0.5 cents of dollar for several months.

Well put, and while I said that there may be cause for concern if the price plummets in December, it's on the understanding that Bitcoin's value tanks after the Segwti2x drama plays out, and people reinvest in alts. I'm invested in Sia - otherwise I wouldn't have ordered an Obelisk  Grin

Hint: nobody gives a fuck about decentralized storage, it's a non issue.

Sure, there are more contracts being signed right now, but the request of sia for those contracts is below 0.

This coin will keep going down and down, because the real use case is something nobody cares for.

I'd also tell all those people sharing their space on sia that they would make much more money with the same space mining burst, but if you're happy to buy at 50 sats just to sell at some point for 20, your choice.

Most people here want to speculate on Sia, not use it.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: October 31, 2017, 07:06:55 PM
What happened with this coin?

It used to be popular, and now it keeps crashing   Embarrassed

It's dead, sell it before it goes to few satoshis.

All people that kept saying to hold and buy in the last 6 months, they lost like 90 % of their money, sell this asap.

Company only cares about selling miners for its coin.

Very bad investment.

I will quote each person telling me the opposite one month from now december first, when coin es dead.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: October 31, 2017, 05:16:57 PM
by the time sc releases the miner it will be worth 1 sat

Very curious.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: October 29, 2017, 11:03:29 PM
In terms of vs btc the value is going down yes, but in terms of usd it's more or less the same. After bitcoin is done with all this hardforking I think the altcoin market will pick up again.

Hope so, the trend is worrying in the long term for the entire crypto market.

The idea is being built more and more around the consensus that only bitcoin's the real value in the cryptomarkets and that's where the money's flowing making altcoins less and less worthy and focus of interest by the markets.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: October 27, 2017, 03:43:46 PM
Every altcoins are up , nav is down ? Why ?

We have a RETARD who has permanent 50k nav buy and sells scaring people away. If you take away his orders there are only like 10 BTC buy orders. He seems to think that 50k (which is more than most people own) is a sensible amount to put as a buy and sell order. Newcomers see those orders and think "I have to compete with someone who is trying to buy 50k nav" so they either walk away or can see what he is trying to do a mile off and look for another coin. Its there in black an white. The bots are doing the small trades (kind of normal) but have a look at the buy orders it goes form less than 1 BTC and then jumps up 8 BTC because of our resident RETARD. then further down the list he has more 8 BTC buys.

The difference in his buy and sells is not massive, so he isn't making that much money - If he let the market do its own thing, more people would come on board and he would make more money as real demand will push the price up. But yes all other ALTS are going up and down with BTC fluctuation but we are just stuck with RETARD boy.

As Elon Musk says - demand is more beneficial than price as more demand pushes up prices.

Yeah he can do what he wants with his money, but I don't think he has got the idea of how simple economics works or how easy people see what he is doing.

Rules of free market, anybody can do what he wants with his money.

Calling people retarded stinks because you have zero understanding of his strategy.

Regardless, unless you're interested in selling in a short time, why would you care what the price is at the moment?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: October 24, 2017, 10:02:52 AM
What I like about these threads is how everybody's smart when they make money and unlucky when they lose it while spreading the hold bullshit.

It's never the opposite, I never hear "hell I was lucky when I bought this coin that went up" or "I was dumb when I bought it".

Never, everybody acts as a smart ass.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] [NAV] NAV COIN - NAVTECH NOW DECENTRALIZED! on: October 21, 2017, 03:18:53 PM
I voted yes, but I really think that dev team should be more transparent about how many NAVs they're holding.

Exactly! Looks like it's a do not touch subject... Roll Eyes

As far as I know all the development has been founded by Craigs personal funds.

And whatever Dev team used to have has been spent last year keeping the project afloat. Bear in mind that before this year the value of NAV was trading below 3k sats and BTC's value was below 1000 usd.

And yet we get no transparency on that matter, don't we?

What's so hard to just say "hey we have THIS amount"?
