This is obviously a scam. I am surprised so many people seem to be taking it seriously.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it a scam, but I do think it was just developed more as a "proof of concept" than anything else. Yes, their "beta" is live for the last few months, but according to many users, it is not a beta, more of an "alpha" and at times, just about usable. There are many issues with the platform, mostly relating to speed, pages loading/not loading, ability to post images in posts (how hard can that be??), the inability to see your own posts, etc. The Sapien team are aware of this, particularly after a group of users who invested in the ICO formed a Telegram group to discuss their concerns and presented these to the team. Did anything happen? Yes and no. Some issues got fixed, but quite a lot did not. It is quite clear that Sapien have NO developers working on this project. Their statistics do not make sense. This articles lists two of them - which sound ridiculous when placed side-by-side. https://www.investinblockchain.com/sapien-shatters-user-growth-projections/Sapien claims to have "4,000 active daily users", yet also boasts that "since June, 10,000 posts have been created on the platform". So - 4,000 active daily users have only managed to create 10,000 posts in a period of almost 3 months??? As someone who uses the platform, I can confirm that their "active daily users" figure is a lot closer to 40 than it is to 4000. As for their original raison d'etre of "fighting fake news", not only are they clueless in how to achieve this, but they seem to actively encourage fake news on the platform, particularly in relation to political posts. Ill-informed or blatantly incorrect material is not removed, just left to sit there, even after it has been reported as fake. Thankfully, most of their userbase is only interested in crypto, so the political propaganda spread by a couple of professional trolls does not hold much sway. However - "fighting fake news" - not a chance... Since the introduction of their "Rewards Engine" a few weeks ago, users get paid to comment or upvote a certain number of posts each week. So, any post is going to get upvotes and meaningless comments, simply because people want to earn more tokens. And lastly, not only does Sapien not have 4,000 active daily users, but it does not have the infrastructure to cope with that many. It is slow and laggy even with the small amount of users it has at the moment. It needs a serious amount of work if it intends to scale or gain any kind of wider adoption. And since their "development team" - if they ever had any - appear to have either lost interest or moved on, this is looking extremely unlikely. Before anyone accuses me of spreading FUD, all of the above is from my own personal experience of using the site. I was very supportive of Sapien in the beginning and I do hold SPN tokens. However, would I consider them a good investment at the moment? No.

There are still ads being run for this wallet as well, promising 37XRP on installation. I saw one earlier today. Took a quick look at the site and the different domain name was an immediate warning sign. Also note the very small size of the download zip file.

I got an invite for this today so took a look at the site and white paper.
The team is anonymous and there is no contact info apart from an email address and links to Telegram and Twitter. The Twitter account joined last March and has so far posted a total of 1 tweet in Russian, none in English.
I also noticed several spelling mistakes in the White Paper, even the project name itself in one instance. While I can make allowances for English not being a first language, there are things called spellcheckers.
The Telegram group seems very active, although not a lot of members at the moment, just over 650.
So....unsure... not saying it is a scam, but there do seem to be some warning flags being raised...

I've only come across this project recently but it seems unique and very interesting. I would be interested in becoming involved with the pen testing side of things. In the meantime, I have joined the bounty and airdrop.

Mining devices :
Laptop - Windows 10, 64-bit, Intel Pentium B960 dual core 2 x 2.2 GHz, 8Gb RAM Browsers - Chrome or Firefox
Phone - Ulefone Power, Android 6, 64 Bit MTK6753 Octa Core, 3GB LPDDR3 RAM
How do I enable these in the dashboard?
Hi Kmdr, so your laptop looks good for mining. Just post back what browser you'll be using on your phone? And once we approve your config, then you are in our queue for new Alpha Miners. We will then activate you as debugging allows. Thanks for signing up and we will look for your browser post reply. Apologies, I just saw your reply now. Main browser on phone would be Firefox, secondary Chrome. No worries Kmdr, and both of those browsers should work fine. Did you also create a Hadron Dashboard back in February when you first posted your specs? (The dashboard would be at Hadron.cloud) Yes. I logged in yesterday & saw that mining had not been activated.

Definitely agree with you, SONM are one of my favourite projects in the whole crypto space. They have a very dedicated, hard-working team and have been working away solidly on delivering a working product. I've been invested in them for about 6 months now & may well get some more shortly.
The lack of media attention is a valid point, but perhaps that is partly because the team are not prioritising things like that. Similar projects like Golem may have suffered from that as well. Overall though, this is a good thing - let the project build and mature quietly, then when it is ready, the media attention will come.

Scam. Keep your activation fee and your shitcoin, nobody is falling for it.
Oh btw, how are those "negotiations" going with Binance & HitBTC? You remember, the ones that started in February?

There is already an FTC coin. It's called Feathercoin. This coin will never get listed on any exchanges or listing websites because of the confusion of having two coins with the same ticker symbol.
Better try another angle.
This. Feathercoin is already established, as is the ticker FTC. If the creator had bothered to spend 5 minutes researching his/her proposed ticker symbol this would have been obvious. As for the future of the coin? Zero. There is no incentive to use this apart from as a "protest" against Trump. Infantile. Nice that they were given away free, this is exactly what they are worth. It belongs in a Museum of Dead Shitcoins.

Typerium is a very interesting new project. The area of decentralization of social media is a key growth area at the moment and is something that can only be beneficial to content creators. It is also good to see Typerium addressing the issue of piracy, and protecting the intellectual property of content creators, as this is something which has always been a problem on the internet. The ability to timestamp creations and intellectual property, through the concept of Proof of Existence, is something that has been sadly lacking in existing social media sites. A working, decentralised marketplace allowing for buying & selling of digital content would also prove extremely useful, particularly if it starts to see widespread adoption. This project could be a game changer in a number of ways.
The inclusion of creation design software is a unique feature that should ensure Typerium stands out from its competitors. By suggesting typographical layouts, image and font pairings, filters, etc., users can create beautiful pieces of content without any prior design experience.
The ability for content creators to sell their content in the marketplace for TYPE tokens should prove very popular, particularly once Typerium gathers momentum and the tokens are listed on exchanges. This gives an obvious financial incentive for creators to produce and sell more content. Additionally, the blockchain-based trust and reputation system should help safeguard against poor-quality content. The trust and reputation system will give more control and transparency, and also reduce the incidence of fraud between creators and buyers. All transactions will be recorded over the Ethereum blockchain, and smart contracts will be used to automatically update ratings based on the performance and history of buyers and sellers.
The payment gateway is another promising feature, which is aiming to provide faster and cheaper payments along with a proprietary wallet. For the average creator, any system which proves better and more efficient than existing solutions (e.g. PayPal with its excessive fees) is bound to prove both popular and welcome.
It looks like the social media arena will see a lot of changes this year, mostly for the better. While there are similar projects, Typerium offers a unique, holistic approach to content creation, and this could prove to be what makes it stand apart. Hopefully it will be a success!

Man... I was totally misleaded by the topic's name, as there is a very popular social network VK in Russia which was created by Pavel Durov (who rulls Telegram these days).
I suspect that was the entire intention. This coin has nothing to do with VK, apart from using the name without permission.
