1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [Pre-Sale] BlockMedx - Combating the Opioid Crisis on the Blockchain on: December 12, 2017, 07:17:57 PM
You will need a lot of retail contracts to make this possible and do some real fight with abusers. I will you good luck, you need it.

Thank you!  We intend to build a platform that will allow us to help millions of people across the country.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / [ANN] BlockMedx - Combating the Opioid Crisis on the Blockchain on: December 12, 2017, 03:14:21 AM

This thread will be continuously updated as progress is made and more information is made available.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many people against bitcoin? on: December 12, 2017, 12:08:41 AM
It's mainly the rent-seekers that have the biggest problem with it.  One of BTC's main value propositions is its position to cut out the middle-men of some very large and powerful industries.  Of course they're not going to be terribly enthusiastic about it...
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will CME's and CBOE's bitcoin futures affect the market? on: December 10, 2017, 05:12:05 PM
With the amount of institutional money that's going to have exposure via the CME and CBOE there's no way it won't have an effect.  The exact magnitude remains to be seen, but it will absolutely affect the market.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum on: December 08, 2017, 05:07:40 PM
It depends which one you think has more value.  Ethereum is a protocol...Bitcoin is money.  You choose.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [RDN] Raiden Network: Welcome to the Ethereum Lightning Network 🔥 on: December 07, 2017, 02:20:53 AM
Ethereum needs these scaling solutions more than anything right now.  Very useful project here (for everyone).
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hits $14,000! on: December 07, 2017, 01:31:49 AM
I'm being very cautious at these levels
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Are Your Greatest Fears As a Bitcoin Holder? on: December 05, 2017, 08:22:33 PM
For some giant critical flaw to be found in the code, rendering it useless.  Or a well-executed 51% attack that destroys the network
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: McDonalds to accept Bitcoin by 2018 on: December 05, 2017, 01:12:49 AM
I'm worried about the scalability issues this portends....  Too much too fast?
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bit Coin is a Ponzi Scheme on: December 05, 2017, 01:01:39 AM
I've heard people call Bitcoin a Ponzi before, but i've never seen it explained.  Seems like just a trope
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized Exchanges!! Who's used them? on: December 03, 2017, 01:01:13 PM
DEX's are so needed in the crypto sphere that I can't believe there isn't a major one operating yet.  To realize the decentralized, uncensorable founding principle of crypto, a DEX is the logical next step and is needed to achieve that vision
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fork in December on: November 30, 2017, 07:41:49 PM
How many forks do we really need?  Wouldn't people just be better off creating their own blockchain instead of trying to piggyback off of BTC and do a fork?
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum At The End Of 2017 on: November 30, 2017, 12:27:24 AM
The very fact that everyone says ETH is going over 700-800 makes me think that it will do the opposite.  Usually when everyone thinks something is going to happen, it doesn't, and it goes the other way.  Even though TA has been telling everyone this is going to happen, I'd be wary.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: November 30, 2017, 12:14:39 AM
Breadwallet has been fine by me.  Never any issues.  Fast, secure, reliable.  No complaints.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a currency or asset? on: November 29, 2017, 01:21:51 AM
It's both!  Similar to gold, it can be used both as a medium of exchange (currency) and as a store of value (asset).  It's such an exciting new class of financial instrument!  I don't think we've seen all that it can do yet...
16  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: November 28, 2017, 03:50:05 AM
Coinbase now has more user accounts than Charles Schwab.  And this is only the beginning.  The BTC community is going to increase exponentially from here on out
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH or LTC long term? on: November 26, 2017, 02:59:52 AM
Since ETH is a protocol coin, its potential is so much higher than LTC
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In what countries can people buy real estate with bitcoins? on: November 24, 2017, 05:27:35 PM
Somebody just bought a house in Texas with Bitcoin!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dash — currency of the future? on: November 23, 2017, 08:54:50 PM
DASH has lots of really nice technology behind it, and some good benefits, but I think the main thing holding up the price is the masternode economics behind how it works
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth to pay $8200 for 1 BTC if you are a newbie? on: November 23, 2017, 08:40:37 PM
You can always buy less than 1....often people coming over from traditional investments (stocks, bonds, etc) seem to think that you need to buy BTC in integers.  Even though 1 BTC might be over $8k, you can still buy $100 or $50 at a time, and that's what I would suggest.
