I would recommend you cut your losses

Greetings, dear BTC Robot members!

We have been paying attention to your emails about our BTC Robot's recent performance and we would like you to know that we are keeping a close eye on the Bitcoin markets. Bitcoin prices are facing a strong regression these days; as you can see from the Bitcoin charts here https://bitcoinwisdom.com/ , the long term trend during the last few months has been bearish and the price has been decreasing with very low volatility, which does not give enough volatility for the robot to take advantage of the decreasing price.

However, despite the recent bearishness, we are always optimistic about Bitcoin's potential. The best performance is always shown on growing bullish markets. You need to remind yourself to consider trading as a long term investment. It does not matter if you trade BTC or just "buy and hold" it, during the bearish down market it's difficult to profit effectively and the best strategy is just to wait for the right market.

We expect the winds to shift and Bitcoin's trends to become more positive during the second half of this year, similar to what happened last year, which in turn strengthened customer confidence in BTC  (after pending government regulations), which also ensures the future rise of its price and in turn, more profits for you.

Meanwhile, for those of you like to trade on Metatrader, you can try an alernate, profitable BTC trading solution from our affiliated partners, FapTurbo2.com. They offer automated trading robots for MT4 such as BTC FAPT2 Premium at http://fapturbo2.com and also, their free Bitcoin indicator http://fapturbo2.com/bonus_bitcoin_signal_indicator.php . Both of these operate on MT4 and will give you the opportunity to take advantage of bearish markets as well, not only during bullish markets like on BTC-e.

Public account update of new version (bitstamp based)

Low bitcoin price is a good opportunity to buy bitcoins cheap.

We replaced Mtgox by Bitstamp long ago in BTC Robot algorithms so this will not affect the robot in any way. We will of course remove mtgox price feed from the chart as well

As you might heard, MTGox (ex leading marketplace) went out of business. This might sound like a bad news for many, but we see it as a good news for bitcoin. and here is why

1. Mtgox issues are nothing new to the market. If you are following the scene, you know that they stopped payouts over a year ago and their troubles were long anticipated and already included in the bitcoin price index. They are already replaced by the promising marketplaces such as Bitstamp and Btc-e. So nothing new here really.

2. A lot of people worried that Mtgox was dragging the btc price down which is true. Finally after it is officially closed, there is no more concern about it. The price will start rising.

3. Low bitcoin price is a good opportunity to buy bitcoins cheap.

4. A lot of newbie traders when they hear bad news they start so called "panic sell". Should i Panic Sell ? Here is the answer http://shouldipanicsell.com/  In short, where most people see negativity, the rich people see opportunity. Most world riches were made during the time of crisis.

Will this affect the BTC robot?

Short answer is NO. All is fine.

We replaced Mtgox by Bitstamp long ago in BTC Robot algorithms so this will not affect the robot in any way. We will of course remove mtgox price feed from the chart as well

How to anticipate where the price will be moving?

Great question. You can do this easily using the Bitcoin indicator for MT4 that you can download here.

I would add that despite some negative online reviews, we have been to most Bitcoin conferences and discussed and presented our robot with bitcoin enthusiasts and were very well accepted. You are welcome to visit us on one of the next conferences.
A lot of negativity usually comes simply from misundertanding Smiley Like in case of verge article calling it a pyramid is just ridicilous.

I tried for days trying to figure out what kind of trading strategy they were utilizing in it's decision making. It seems completely random, RSI, MAC, MACD, Stochastic oscillator, etc. I couldn't figure out what they were using.

It's simply not true. Random? come on, man...

Regarding the lack of trades last weeks,

If you follow Bitcoin niche you might now about the dramatic news from Mtgox and other exchangers driving the price down. On such bearish trend it does not make sense buying bitcoins, the robot simply sits on USD and waits for favorable signals to buy bitcoins. It's goal is to protect the capital (USD value of portfolio) not to trade for the sake of trading.

P.s.
We also have a new Litecoin robot here http://ltcbot.com/earlybird.php

Thank you for the review

Our BTC robot topic is here

Regarding the Verge thing our response was the following.

I am not sure what this article is trying to say, but our robot has nothing to do with pyramid schemes mentioned in the article. Probably the authors should get into the topic more before making such false assumptions. We provide a trading software that simply connects to your btc-e.com trading account via API keys and trades it. We don’t accept any deposits whatsoever.

Yes, the software is easy to setup. If you choose platinum plan you can get a preinstalled web version. Nothing to install.

The long term performance of the robot is here http://btcrobot.com/images/longtermprofit.png
We are also publishing our public performance on the salespage. It will not get you right overnight but it provides a stable consistent profits and grows the portfolio (sum of BTC+USD on your trading acc)

If you have any questions, please send us the support ticket.

Regarding trust rating = it was placed by unhappy moderator. We don't do any trades on this forum, it's irrelevant.

Unfortunately enough, nothing did happen. The robot stayed stuck in this situation for the next few days.

We received a lot of great feedback from you about the Litecoin robot and would like to address most of the questions:

Q: I dont want to download and install anything and keep my PC on. Will LTC Robot work for me?

LTCRobot comes fully web-based on secure cloud hosted vps! Nothing to download and configure! Hassle free setup!

Q: Should i trade on the same account or different?

It's 2 completely different algorithms and they must trade sepearately to avoid any conflicts! Simply open separate btc-e account and fund it with LTC or USD to start trading

Q: Do you plan to update BTC robot too?

We are also preparing the new trading algrorithm update for BTC robot, it's coming soon!

Q. Why LTC Robot is offered so cheap? What's the catch?

The robot will be sold at 399 during official launch. It is offered only for $99 for Silver/Gold or completely free (to platinum members) ONLY during this special early bird access. Hurry up to reserve your spot at a low price.

It did not take long since bitcoin took a hit from China in the middle of December for it to fully recover and get back to $1000 mark!

As usual, those who had patience and confidence now rip all the benefits!

Here is the update:

According to Coindesk Survey, 56% of Bitcoiners Believe the Bitcoin Price Will Reach $10,000 in 2014!   the bitcoin community largely thinks it will soar way higher than this over the next 12 months.

A whopping 56% of the 5,500 people polled so far said they believe the price will reach $10,000 this year.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone use btcrobot.com? on: December 27, 2013, 01:18:35 PM
Bitcoin is closing a successful 2013 year on a positive note. It had it up and downs but during the year  but if you see the big picture the price rose from 5.5 usd in January 2013 to 850 usd as we speak in the end of december 2013! That is amazing growth! But that is only the beginning!

The price of Bitcoin is rising again , so do profits. With more and more retailers accepting Bitcoin, the more price will grow.

As usual, we are working hard and looking forward to improving our robot and our service in 2014. We have some really great updates planned for the next few months, i am sure you will be pleasantly surprised.

Have great holidays and see you in 2014 guys!

If anyone could predict prices with even a small edge for all market conditions

Nobody can predict the future. We are talking about the game of probabilities. The robot is analysing the prices in 3 major exchanges : Mtgox, Btc-e and Bitstamp and base the decision based on that. Sometimes it miss the target but the goal is to generate profit long term.

You can see that when you try to exit the website.

When you exit you see exit splash giving out a free ebook about bitcoin. how is it a scam? Ebook gives you the history of the book and several manual trading strategies. But thank you for concernes anyways!

We also fixed the recent issue with "no trades".

We are currently in drawdown due to huge Bitcoin price collapse after China banned the biggest marketplace, but we are looking forward optimistically into 2014 as more and more vendors will start accepting it and the price will get back where it was.
19  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone use btcrobot.com? on: December 18, 2013, 04:28:24 PM
While controversial Chinese news still drive the markt to its continued bearish trend, as you can see below we might reached the support level around 445 where the long Sell Signal (marked in red) stopped and the correction started to form (last green signal):

Currently traded around 600

As usual we'll keep you posted on the market situation as it unfolds!

Hey Eurobitcoin! Mind maybe filling in the problem here or informing us about what is going on. I paid for this product and it has worked until about 6 days ago where it has halted trades. I have it on medium trading and the prices have been fluctuating. Why no trading.?

We are looking into that. There are frequent API changes in 3 marketplaces that we usually have to address.
