4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen with Bitcoin if it never scales? on: September 28, 2018, 10:42:13 PM
Bitcoin is currently worth more than gold. Most people buy Bitcoin to buy Altcoins rather than using it in practice. Whether Bitcoin is expanding or not, Bitcoin will never be forgotten.

Excellent way to compare! Many feel very safe with their asset being gold, Bitcoin will eventually take over.
5  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you think the market is down right now? on: September 28, 2018, 11:24:55 AM
is it all that is going on with regulations?

Big whales just waiting?

People do not believe in crypto anymore?

is it trouble in some countries in ASIA with laws and regulations?
Nobody knows why the price of cryptocurrency market is down, seriously, all they do here is guess work. If anybody knows why the price is down, then they will be able to tell what to do to make the price go up again and that will also be a way for them to make wealth. And by the way, let’s just saying that the market is down, it is not down, it is at its correct price.

Last year it was said that the price of Bitcoin will be corrected and this is it. So everyone should keep cool and wait for when it will bubble again. That’s it, just have patience, and if you can’t have patience, then you’re on your own, nobody is forcing you.

Well we do know for sure that negative/positive news affects the market.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whale alert tool on: September 25, 2018, 03:53:13 PM
It is great idea to monitor the the whales movements, but the problem is if you make it public the whales will know it as well and
can trick us out and confuse with moving their coins around.
I am also following and analyzing the movements  for some specific ICOs but it is time consuming and I would like if there would be a tool to get the information easier.

One way to fix the issue you are talking about is for him to implement cross-chain analysis to detect such movement.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin allowed to continue? on: September 24, 2018, 03:58:29 PM
I think it is more like it cannot be entirely controlled to uphold it's continuance.

The train started moving and if the brakes get hit they will be very slow.
10  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-09-07] Ukrainians Advised to Pay 19.5% Tax on Crypto Incomes on: September 24, 2018, 02:54:04 PM
The rate in this country related to the incomes taxes it currently at 18% (the highest has been 20%) So what? Not much difference compared the incomes. Any income shall be taxed, there is nothing wrong. At least the citizens know where the government stands, but generally speaking, any citizen knows there will be a tax.

Yep, he hit it right on the money.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whale alert tool on: September 24, 2018, 02:49:13 PM
It sounds as very good idea but why are you concentrating only on ICOs and Eth smart contract tokens? Try to consider adding more coins even those old ones comparing different markets now and over past time  (at least 2 - 5 years full study).

I agree with this. Span across the whole crypto-market!
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 3.5d: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: September 24, 2018, 02:46:41 PM
Thank you for a new version with a new kernel mode for amd cards added . It allows me to decrease power consumption of my 7*rx570 rig by 12-14 watts  ,which is ~1,5% with the same hashrate ! Great job , I think Phoenix miner is and industry leading eth miner right now .

That is a good save on power consumption! I too agree that PhoenixMiner is holding it down for the best ethereum miner.

14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin allowed to continue? on: September 23, 2018, 11:19:26 PM
You're talking about the black side of bitcoin. About terrorism and money laundering, mentioning Syria and Iran. I want to tell you that it is very easy to blame bitcoin for all sins, because no one will be responsible for these words. We've heard about Satoshi Nakamoto, but no one knows who he is or if he's alive. Where is he? That's why the government says such loud and dirty words to bitcoin. As for the banks, this is the government (in most cases)
Bitcoin has a future without black schemes (darknet)

Yes this is extremely important.

Bitcoin used to be largely used in illegal activity when it was first founded. But since it's growth and world-wide adoption it has certainly legitimized.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do whales really control the market, or is that a myth on: September 19, 2018, 11:39:22 PM
Is there any evidence that these mysterious 'whales' really control the bitcoin market, or is this a myth generated as people try to understand why bitcoin prices go up and down?

Market manipulation has existed for years. It was not invented by the media or something. Every market has significant players who can influence the market due to the amounts they have. So the phenomenon is quite old and well-known, but they do not call themselves 'whales,' of course. The name was coined by the media, I believe, but that does not mean the media have invented them. The media might have invented their name, i.e. 'whales,' but that's it.

This is my understanding of it as well. Basically once an entity has a large amount of money they can now be an "influencer".

From there it is all strategy.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop allowing manipulators to switch you off and on on: September 19, 2018, 11:28:24 PM
This is what often happens in the cryptocurrency market.

Sometimes you just see the price of the entire market going dip as a result of statement made by one influential person. Such persons are agents of FUD and yet you continue to reverend them because of their past or current achievements. They scare you to sell cheap to them, and later, they reverse their statement through someone else probably their cohorts, then the prices start to skyrocket again, then you start playing catch up to buy again even at prices far above what you sold to them. And the process goes on, starts all over again.

My friend! wise up and stop allowing someone to switch you off and on. You are not a toy robot.

Learn to stand your ground amid such manipulations or low market prices.

Definitely have had this thought before...

19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you think blockchain can benefit healthcare? on: September 17, 2018, 02:43:34 AM
Of course, blockchainchain can be used in Healthcare. I've even seen several ICOs from this industry. I think such ICO will continue to appear. I participated in ICO WELL.  WELL Token already received.

An ICO in the healthcare sector makes no sense to me. If there was a really good project, they would simply approach a hospital or insurance company who, upon seeing how good this project is and how much money it could save them, would fund it. Why would they need a tradable token to put patient records on a blockchain, unless it's just to make them a quick buck before they disappear.

While I do agree with what you are saying, it is not reliable to assume corporations will instantly pick up blockchain just because it will save them money on paper.

It would be a great incentive though for blockchain to not only protect sensitive data, but to save the corporation's money.
