1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] WORLD of BATTLES - eSports Platform + connects with Twich on: October 16, 2017, 04:48:52 PM
ICOHunters, Phroneo, guys, in my opinion it's the most open project. You won't often meet more developed answers in our community. Before clinging to all possible trifles it is necessary to understand for yourself what you want to pull from answers. And on the surface it turns out that you try to find a pretext in each answer to turn everything upside down. Will you ask them to sing for camera and to dance? Especially strange it sounds from the account which has just created it and has rushed here at once, but it is obvious that the person understands the community specifics. It gives certain ideas.

I wish the project good luck. I am with you.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] WORLD of BATTLES - eSports Platform + connects with Twich on: October 15, 2017, 01:29:30 PM
The excellent project, I saw you earlier. They are looking forward to releasing the major platform in eSports, I tell it as a player with 10-year experience.
Thanks for your response, in 2016 our project began with identifying current problems in the eSports industry, only after it we began to look for ways out and found them, and implemented all the best within the World of Battles platform.
The problems described by you really exist and don’t allow eSports to move to a new level. I hope you will be able to realize platform potential function, I will support you.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [PROPOSED] JIZZCOIN - Give life to a coin that's a little unique! on: May 16, 2014, 11:11:10 PM
Hey guys,

So a friend and I were discussing how unexciting DOGE coin is yet became popular due to troll factor. So we came up with the following coin concept.

I have little technical background, so some of what I propose may be completely unrealistic but it would be cool if it could have it do the following:

- Discovered blocks take 9 months to reach maturity (Maybe some method of double confirmation. stage 1 to confirm the block or a "Junior Block" of sorts. stage 2 after 9 months larger coin or to distribute the wealth?)
- Chance for block to be a "Dud" with no reward
- Orphaned blocks may be accepted somehow by two parents if they manage to hash a particular algorithm ?
-

Anyway, Have fun with the concept and discuss if you're bored. If anyone is serious about doing something with it send me a PM as i've got the domain www.jizzcoin.com . You are welcome to it!

Cheers  Grin

New extensions don't mean anything, they're ICANN's newest money making scheme. There always have been plenty of options besides the .com, and yet the market decided to pay a premium for it. It's going to stay just that way for the foreseeable future.

I agree, at least while the internet generation is still alive. only a matter of time until QR codes and NFC devices destroy typing a domain all together... be smart.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's 10000 TH network is extremely vulnerable on: January 09, 2014, 01:04:47 AM
If the US government wanted to take bitcoin down, why waste $30mill doing so. They can just declare all aspects of bitcoin usage / trade illegal with severe jailtime. With their influence they could then convince all other western institutionalized countries to do the same thus removing the value of the currency.

Much easier than actually "destroying" it - I mean what's the point of that. People using it for illegal activities will just create another coin. or jump from Bitcoin to Litecoin to Dogecoin etc..

I think they're working out a way to make $30 mill from it rather than spend $30 mill destroying it Wink

besides, how many coins did the FBI confiscate from Silkroad? why would they want to throw that value out the door? !
11  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: CoinJar - Australia's first VC-backed Bitcoin startup on: November 13, 2013, 11:10:53 PM
Finally, the wait is over. We just launched CoinJar for iPhone, the best and most beautiful Bitcoin wallet designed for iOS devices.

You can now use your iPhone to easily manage your Bitcoin wallet on the go, and quickly send/receive payments using the Bitcoin network. As a bonus, you can access to CoinJar Fair Rate™ right from your smartphone and even do simple calculations.

This is just version 1.0, so there might be some minor issues. We are collecting user feedback and suggestions. Please contact us at feedback@coinjar.com or visit https://support.coinjar.com if you want to share your thoughts or need help. A new version of this app will be available in the next few weeks.

Download it for free from the App Store: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/coinjar-for-iphone/id725209873?mt=8

Note to 2FA users: You cannot sign in to the iPhone app when 2FA is enabled (because 2FA support wasn't built into the client). The workaround for now is to disable 2FA from CoinJar temporarily, sign in, and re-enable it again. The token credentials will be securely stored in your device keychain until you sign out. CoinJar for iPhone doesn't remember your password, so even if you change your email/password on the website, the mobile client will still be linked to your account.

Any word on Android App ?
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Best method to recover this particular corrupt wallet. on: November 08, 2013, 10:06:32 PM
Hi guys,

I have a corrupt wallet from the following scenario.

128gb SSD -> about 95% full with bitcoin-QT and wallet with 8 bitcoins on it.
HDD is quickformatted to win7
Approx 5gb of software installed (I would estimate still around 75% free)
Oh shit moment realised..

HDD removed -> put into other PC -> used Runtime GetDataBack to find wallet.dat

Wallet.dat is reading 1100kb

Have tried various Bitcoin-QT restore methods but all still saying corrupt.

I've also sent a copy to someone I trust and they are saying the file is blank ? Not sure what this means as its reading 1100kb.

What is the best procedure from here? should I try starting all over again from a Linux LiveCD with different recovery software? Then a different restore method?

Will donate something substantial to anyone who is able to provide successful help Smiley

Thanks

This is really interesting. Institution? MIT perhaps? FBI ?

Im also amazed they can continue to conduct business after fucking so many customers over. If the BTC was converted to fiat then couldn't a class action go against them in the country that the fiat is held?

I think if we master Quantum Entanglement the security and probability of a SHA256 crypto-currency will be the least of our worries...
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens after the last coin is mined? on: September 23, 2013, 05:43:37 AM
What do you expect up to 2140 when the last Bitcoin is expected? You must be naive to think Bitcoin last that long.

We would be having lightspeed transistors and the new currency is Time.

I doubt it.. We still burn fossil fuels due to Market Control / Capitalism... I think it's going to be a much slower roll-out than that.

Remember what happened 100 years ago when Tesla wanted to give everyone Free electricity? - Westinghouse dropped his funding because he couldn't work out a way to make money off it...

HELP!! I flashed the bios to 20130821 last night and now its 20x worse!! Runs at 100ghs for about 30 seconds before dropping to 5ghs - 20ghs erratically. Left it for a few hours and no better. Tried a couple of versions in between with same results before flashing back to original backup and now that's fucked too Sad

Any suggestions? this is killing me!!!

Yours is a batch #3, it's probably throttling because of temps as the sensors have changed so the default temps are too low

In more options try
--real-quiet --avalon-auto --avalon-fan 100 --avalon-temp 70 --avalon-cutoff 90

Wow thank you so much. that appears to have been the problem Cheesy

If you are using a July or earlier rev I think you will notice a nice improvement.    Smiley

disconnect the ATX Motherboard Power connector after you turn your PSU switch OFF.   Reconnect your ATX PSU connector to the controller board.  Switch the power on.
Also make sure you have all 5 power cables hooked up.

2 x pciE 8 pin

2 x CPU 8 pin

1 x atx mainboard power connector.

Before you reboot the machine, first have a look at the tab

Status -> Cgminer API log

and look at the numbers behind

Code:
   [match_work_count1] => 239017
   [match_work_count2] => 239336
   [match_work_count3] => 240190
   [match_work_count4] => 239549
   [match_work_count5] => 239449
   [match_work_count6] => 239708
   [match_work_count7] => 238995
   [match_work_count8] => 238508
   [match_work_count9] => 239126
   [match_work_count10] => 239069
   [match_work_count11] => 238590

chances are one of your modules is not getting power and it will show it with considerably lower numbers (might even be 0)

The modules are grouped by 8 lines so you can spot where the problem is

So my hashrate just dropped to 40ghs and this is what the log is showing.

Quote
   [match_work_count1] => 23548
   [match_work_count2] => 23459
   [match_work_count3] => 23557
   [match_work_count4] => 23302
   [match_work_count5] => 23395
   [match_work_count6] => 23610
   [match_work_count7] => 23430
   [match_work_count8] => 23375
   [match_work_count9] => 23366
   [match_work_count10] => 23410
   [match_work_count11] => 23437
   [match_work_count12] => 23335
   [match_work_count13] => 23385
   [match_work_count14] => 23369
   [match_work_count15] => 23494
   [match_work_count16] => 23274
   [match_work_count17] => 23795
   [match_work_count18] => 23460
   [match_work_count19] => 23237
   [match_work_count20] => 23368
   [match_work_count21] => 23208
   [match_work_count22] => 23155
   [match_work_count23] => 23520
   [match_work_count24] => 23242
   [match_work_count25] => 23228
   [match_work_count26] => 23658
   [match_work_count27] => 23703
   [match_work_count28] => 23275
   [match_work_count29] => 23460
   [match_work_count30] => 23363
   [match_work_count31] => 23542
   [match_work_count32] => 23472

Everything looks fine?

Try firmware 20130821, very stable and I picked up ~2GHS over the stock 20130723.    Smiley

edit: Oh, and mx4 thermal paste on 2 modules probably helped a lot. I thought a 20g tube would cover 3 but I ran out after 2.

Where can I download the latest firmware?
