1) Most Antminers (including the S4, S5, and S7, and possibly the S3) have problems with p2pool, and will lose hashrate and become unstable unless you use a special firmware. These problems were fixed with the S9, but during the earlier generations, p2pool lost a lot of hashrate.
I've used a dozen S1's and one S7 with P2Pool and haven't noticed any lost hashrate. Is this an accepted thing? Should I be looking into that special firmware?

What happened to P2Pool? It's been a while since I've mined on P2Pool. I got a shiny new Antminer S7 so I fired up my old P2Pool node. I see that the time to block is 10 days! Back in the day we used to find blocks every few hours. Why doesn't anyone mine on P2Pool anymore? Despite the high variance, from what I can tell the luck has been very good. There's no need to trust pool operators. All the old reasons are still valid, but there's only 3 smallish farms mining on P2Pool and a handful of small guys like me with one or two rigs.

I'm tend to agree. I have a real job and can't do all of this alone, we need a team. I love KMC and will keep buying, but I'm not willing to keep giving away expensive SSD drives when only 2-3 people show up to the auction.

We can do another auction, but I need to see more KIMO spirit. Please post a note if you're interested in having more KIMO auctions.

@Qxw - stop wining ***** @jacob - if you start setting normal end times won't have such gifts like the last auction. I was willing to bring x3 of the current bid but this 04:00GMT kill me.
Had many days to bid, and everyone only bids the minimum increment. If you bid what it's really worth to you, instead of 1K more than the last guy, then you would have won. What time would you prefer?

Each time you mine a block it creates a new transaction. When you want to send some money it has to aggregate many inputs to reach your transaction amount. If the transaction size is too large you can't send it. I recommend creating a new paper wallet, sending all your coins to it, then importing that wallet. Then you will not have any limits. Send the coins using the debug console, so you can create many transactions quickly.
I'm worried not about many transactions to do, but the fact of paying fee for every "little" transaction. In that way I'll lose some coin, and this doesn't make me happy at all. UPD: How to make a paper wallet? Total transaction fees will be < 1 KIMO, a worthless amount --don't worry about it. See the OP for creating a paper wallet.

This is a KIMO only auction, bidding starts at 20,000 KIMO. Minimum bid increment is 1000 KIMO. Bidding ends on Friday 8/22 at 4:00 AM GMT. The auction is open to the public, anyone can place a bid right here in the thread.

We had a hard fork, then the update to the new KIMO wallet. Changing the algo would require another hard fork, and Comkort would have to suspend trading again. Maybe in a month or so we can discuss it, but I think for now it's better to let the dust settle.

Three more votes needed to start the auction.

Sorry guys, the voting was locked Now it is fixed. Please cast your votes. The 500GB hard drive is a Western Digital WD5000BPVT in a Protronix USB 3.0 enclosure. The drive will be shipped worldwide via USPS Priority Mail with tracking, 5-10 days to most countries. Guy Mollet, if you check the thread history you will see that we've had several auctions, including both of these items. Everyone has received their shipments without any problems.
