Want to feel like the guy in the movie Limitless?  Try Alpha GPC, crosses the blood brain barrier and works wonders on your neurotransmitters!

Sounds like it might fuck your brain up in the process...

the compound is a refined version of choline, Alpha GPC comes from highly refined soy lecithin.

I want some Alpha GPC, I had forgotten all about it before sequence mentioned it.
Thanks sequence!

I haven't read much of what OP has wrote and I haven't read this entire thread yet, but I know what he is talking about.

Lately I had just assumed it was actually MTGOX doing it,
needing a way to grab bitomat without any loss to themselves.

Whoever it is if it isn't MTGox, they definitely know who it is.

how does one "steal" FOSS exactly? XD

As if all these people that say this, don't understand FOSS or even know what it is.

One of the biggest advantages pushed to programmers of FOSS is that, yes, someone else can use your code, but you then get their improvements and changes too if you want them. And there are many other things as well but most of them boil down to, well...

Every piece of code I write as open-source, I open-source because my goal is the good of the community.

Thomas took code that was made open-source for the good of the community, made no improvements, contributions, or meaningful changes whatsoever. He simply re-released it to try and have it be for the good of him and only him. He wasn't trying to take Satoshi's openness and be equally open: He was trying to take Satoshi's idea and modify it for his own financial benefit at the expense of others, and he contributed nothing whatsoever in return.

Then when ixcoin blew up...

Thomas of course gives multiple speeches about how his goal was to have an exact copy of Bitcoin. Except with a different block chain. And very minor reward adjustments. He throws all that right out the window when he needs code from SolidCoin. "Yeah, I want a direct fork of Bitcoin. Oh, shit. Direct fork won't make me lots of money. Time to grab code from elsewhere."

Also, for the record, yes, FOSS can indeed be stolen, as far as the legal system is concerned. Linksys/Cisco comes to mind... And then there was another one, I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but they took open-source libraries and embedded them into a commercial application which was sold for profit, and they were slapped with a restraining order commanding them to remove all of the offending code or stop distributing software.

The argument doesn't relate to ixcoin though or i0coin or even solidcoin though.

It's darwinism, he (ixcoin guy and team) is just making sure ixcoin survives, just like i0coin and solidcoin.
But anyone saying anything about stealing is completely wrong, and honestly look very much like stooges.

I'm not sure why I found that hilarious, and your reply was very sensible.
But I can't stop myself, it's going to happen, I must ask where, I cannot stop myself this time.
WHERE IS THE OPTION FOR BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE BEETLEJUICE~! XD

okay.
I'm good now.

I mine the *.coins because it is a good idea.
The way they are attached to btc allows a decentralization while using btc as a hub.
Only problem is also the benefit, the abstracted way they are completely reliant on bitcoin that is.

would someone please write a really cool word in the next reply so I can find a way to steal it and make it mine.

The whole complaint is a Rickyism!

It Doesn't Take Rocket Appliances...

You understand that there is a button marked Edit for posts you make right?

here.

Ricky: Oh you do, do you? No you don't. 'Cause it's fucked. 'Cause everything you assholes say, you take from books. Guess what? I don't steal anything from books. You guys, get the fuck outta here! (pushes Lahey into the car) Get the fuck outta here, I'm serious! (throws a net on Randy) And take your little net with you! (pushes Randy into the car)

the difficulty retargetting is from SC, so once that starts happening at 20055, it should see the hashrate and begin dropping considerably every 6 hours. Then when hashrate comes back up it should even out for a little while before going back up.

Technically it should start doing what is happening here in the last 2 days:

Just wondering why these are hosted on MU.

ckolivas,
thanks for the reply about ask rate and scan time.
I don't completely comprehend yet what it does really but thanks! Cheesy

I was wondering, is there anymore specific flags I should pay more attention to when solo mining?

I'm also trying to figure out how to do FASTLOOP=false with cgminer, is this possible or is this set automagically?

12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: NEW BitCoin Show In the Works ! "BitCoin Broadcasting Network" on: August 31, 2011, 04:10:42 AM
Hey Everyone,

My crew and I will be making a new Bit Coin Show... Our Studio we are putting together will be based out of NJ. If their is any people within the community who would like to be on our show as a guest or send us videos in regards to your new project you have been working on... It would be greatly appreciated. Please email me at rzuchowski@btcrunner.com . Our format will be nothing like the Bit Coin Show on OneTV. 10 to 15 min shows ...  Few episodes a month. Nothing Crazy. Short and to the point...but yet informative. It's time the face of BitCoin to be more upscale and presented in a more professional manor. Hopefully in the end we will prevail to be the solution . Thanks again and look fwd to your emails.

Sincerely,
Ray Z

Got a response from them after I inquired why the convo was removed:

Quote
Hi Erik,

You are welcome to repost your conversations, but maybe consider formulating a bit less like promotion to avoid it being removed by our moderators again.

Thanks,

TED Admin

I don't understand why they claimed it sounded "promotional"?  Most of the post I made was phrased in question form, such as "in what ways will Bitcoin permit various economic groups to interact across government boundaries.." etc. My only guess is that the mod there figured that Bitcoin was like Paypal, in being a company/organization. With that frame of reference, I can see why any mention of Bitcoin might seem promotional.

It does bother me that I must now repost a new convo, and hope that new people comment on it. I'm going to respond to their email and ask if the first post can be re-instated, and that I will edit it to fit better within their guidelines.

All part of the struggle =)

When spending time on anything you hold with intellectual value, keep a copy.
Also, I didn't respond to you because of your conducted level of abrasiveness.
Since you are determined to do this, please be completely subjective in your writing,
maybe even write about it like an outsider.
Let them also understand the pitfalls, as well as the benefits. You will get the discussion you want when you allow all points of view and do not try to control it's direction. Since you are taking this to thinkers, you have to allow them to think freely and unhindered. You really have to let them decide.
14  Other / Off-topic / Re: nootropics? on: August 31, 2011, 03:48:48 AM
what brand of piracetam?
also, was it indeed choline bitartrate?

The piracetam was cheap powdered stuff. I don't remember the brand.

I was taking both choline bitartrate and soy lecithin at like quadruple the recommended dose.

Was it the gold tub?

Why did you take so much if you don't mind me asking.
15  Other / Off-topic / Re: nootropics? on: August 31, 2011, 03:47:29 AM
I would like to know about the brand name of the nico tabs, I wouldn't mind having some of those.

Nicabate 4mg mini mint lozenges.  You can pick them up at supermarkets here in Australia.
Thanks! I'm gonna have a look for those.

You are certainly right about not being too many peer reviewed studies, I have learned most of what I know of them from IMMST, bodybuildingforum, anabolicminds, 2nd hand exp. and first hand.

IMMST?  Do you mean imminst.org? I haven't checked for a while but there used to be some interesting discussions on nootropics there.

Typo,  Grin Yes, lot's of info there. Though I really suggest anabolicminds, if you want a plethra of info to sift through. Those guys are human guinea pigs, and most of the time the writing very elaborate, detailed and overall pretty helpful. It really dwarfs imminst in value of info toward nootropics. Plus most of the guys there seem to study bio-chem? since it's a body building forum they are already very acquainted with physiology. Those guys make some crazy concoctions.
If I ever need to venture outside of my sources I will sometimes use them to find good prices when I need to buy, or find out about new things.

Bruce, stop trying to help people and just be Ben,
could possibly help you and the others greatly.
people with conviction, are often seen with humility.

just be who you are sir.

I'm not trying to be funny or make fun of you at all, it's just the world works with you when you be who you are.
I personally have a pretty dark past, and I have found I shine the brightest when I am simply who I am.
(within the boundaries of society of course)

you sure you didn't mean repressive?
seems repressive would make more sense in the context of your post.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANNOUNCE] SolidCoin - new and improved block chain. Secure from pools on: August 31, 2011, 01:52:27 AM
Dude, do you permanently reside in nerdland?  And when I said buy stuff, I meant good stuff.

Ok so now we're getting down to the meat of your debating talents, that when I reply to your incorrect statements you change them to subjective ones.

"I didn't mean buy stuff, I meant buy stuff that I like from the shop I like"

Normal businessmen do not consider accepting SolidCoin, let alone Bitcoin, easy.

That's what I'm going to change. You excited? You should be.

No, it was a subjective statement obviously referring to a larger issue.  There's a reason nerds are nerds.  They're good with gadgets, but they suck at understanding what people actually want.

You know what I meant when I said "good stuff."  I was referring to the ridiculously limited selection of things you can buy with SC.  I'm on this forum every day, and I haven't seen one thing that I can buy with SC.

I'm not excited yet because I don't believe you are good at understanding what people want.

Edit:  Your debating talents include "oh yeah, that's coming...hasn't happened yet, but it will.  You just watch. Watchin' yet?"

enter address, select compound, press send.
opiates and cannabanoids delivered to my braincase, instantaneously? XD

Anyone with an opinion on the matter is showing classic 'Capitalist' symptoms

'Capatalist' symptoms include-
-seeing righ/wrong in anything
-thinking limits should be imposed on anything
-Explosive Diarrhea

While I don't support trolls, I'm also not opposed to them..... rarely do the bad guys see themselves as bad- and that's because good/bad is nothing but an opinion. What a bunch of hypocrytes posting..... it's funny to see them call themselves libertarians- it's like the stigma attached to Christianity- not saying there's anything at all wrong with Christianity itself, most people don't pracitice what they preach. sheesh, so far sure some people got their feelings hurt (which is their own problem- not the offenders), but some true colors have been revealed as a result.....

I agree with you about the good and bad being a perspective
unless someone openly states they are libertarian, please do not assume they are libertarian because they post on this forum, it's a shifting spectrum.

I tried taking piracetam, but it made me incredibly drowsy, even with tons of choline.

what brand of piracetam?
also, was it indeed choline bitartrate?

if you take just the choline bitartrate by itself, very soon you should achieve lucid dreaming very easily.
