I have 300k more blocks to fetch in order to sync, it's going awfully slow across 2 peers, is anyone willing to upload a snapshot of the current blockchain?
You can download bootstrap.dat here: http://talkcoin.org/bootstrap.zip

Pls look at post #39, V2 crashed when solo mine.
You can try the command line argument -nochat or run the dameon talkcoind (no GUI). I am running under Windows 7. Solo Mining still crashed when run with -nochat in command line. This time it just stopped working : talkcoin-qt.exe has stopped working Windows is checking for a solutions... Patch has been applied to fix mining crash. Download the new version. It should work now.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't speak for the dev and maybe he has a different view on this, but the way I see it is that video chat would probably be moving away from cryptocurrency or blockchain features. . Dev, what are your thoughts?
Yes, it would be a software like skype without link with the blockchain technology.

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on October 17th unless the average daily trade volume for the last 7 days exceeds 0.1 BTC. Shit. Talkcoin is in danger of delisting from bittrex Volatility is in all markets. The most important is that it's always developed.

I started this project alone. Better alone than in bad company!

Dev, when you will do this ? I didn't see new Roadmap in this official thread. The roadmap is here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=781207.msg8805129#msg8805129The video version is still in a beta state, the last bugs have been fixed. True development takes a long time. As explained earlier, the voting system and dev fund will be removed and the block reward will be changed to 5 unless you have objections. What is the result of changing the block reward? Does this have implications on the price? Is this in favor of new investors or current investors? It was a request, it will be steadier over time.

TalkCoin (TAC) - First NIST5 - First Anonymous & Video ChatThis is the Main Talkcoin moderated thread. For the old thread, see here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=573998.0DescriptionTalkcoin a new generation of cryptocurrency that lets users chat in decentralized public / private chat rooms securely and anonymously. Talkcoin is completely decentralized and the first to offer a true decentralized chat program that won't rely on a central server to deliver messages from the sender to their recipients and lets you communicate freely with anyone in the world. New Video IntegrationTalkcoin introduces a video feature that allows users to share videos from video sharing sites. Users can directly share and watch videos within their wallet. Secure Hash Algorithms NIST SHA-3 candidate algorithms - Implementation based on the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) publication. (cf. http://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/ir/2012/NIST.IR.7896.pdf) The NIST hash function competition was an open competition held by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to develop a new hash function called SHA-3 to complement the older SHA-1 and SHA-2. NIST selected five SHA-3 candidate algorithms to advance to the third (and final) round: BLAKE - Grøstl (Knudsen et al.) - JH - Keccak (Keccak team, Daemen et al.) - Skein (Schneier et al.) NIST noted some factors that figured into its selection as it announced the finalists: • Performance • Security • Analysis: "NIST eliminated several algorithms because of the extent of their second-round tweaks or because of a relative lack of reported cryptanalysis – either tended to create the suspicion that the design might not yet be fully tested and mature." • Diversity: The finalists included hashes based on different modes of operation, including the HAIFA and sponge function constructions, and with different internal structures, including ones based on AES, bitslicing, and alternating XOR with addition. New movie: The TAC job(s) Just went through the excell spreadsheet of the famous dev fee address here what I have found, between the 29th of May and 2nd of June, all block generated were generated with a dev fee of 15.46tac. 15121 blocks were generated on that period, giving an amount of ~2337706tac This amount were removed from that address the 3rd of june Same story between the 27th of june and 1st of july with a 3tac dev fee: 15119 blocks generated for an amount of 45357tac (less impressive sure but still a robbery) removed from this address 4th of July (for the holyday ? ) So in total it is 279127.6tac from which I remove the standard 0.5tac/block fee we get 264007.66tac which were stolen from the community by greedy dev. Actually dev should have get only 15k tac instead of that 279k tac... I don't remember what was the price on the exchange at that time but it was a lot more than it is So basically, more than half of what has been generated (~500k tac) on that address are indeed stolen nice job dev !! DO something productive with your life! Trolling is not productive.

Dev, you are stupid. If you would allow team to develop this coin, you would've have much more profit dumping your remaining stolen coins. You don't want to let takeover, you don't want to do anything yourself, why do you want to burry this coin so much?
You are stupid if you don't understand there are other motivations to do things than money. I am passionate, I spent several months to make this coin and I want to develop a better system and I do not accept that people try to steal all my work without my approval.
|
|
|
You other arguments are as stupid and groundless. The fees are really destroyed and sent to first genesis block (not like in your version). All developers (with Skills!) will be able to see this in the code.
And seriously you want to takeover this project??
I can't believe these guys spend their time and energy arguing against me with blatantly ignorant comments.
Yes I admit you have skills. That explains why you are so arrogant, even to your investors. Unfortunately this skill was used more to scam people than actually improve the coin. You will probably say again that you don't have time to argue with me. Fine. My questions still stay open, and I think all people with common sense will understand what really happens here. If you want to takeover this project, there were other honest ways. I already expressed about it in private messages. I didn't even receive a small private message saying it about this takeover and I could have helped you to start your own fork with your own ideas. If you find I am dishonest, you can at least admit your attitude is also dishonest and deceptive.
