1  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Casinos on: July 01, 2024, 06:18:55 PM
I think you mismatched the Url arrangements in the link you wanted to provide and I have done it correctly for you maybe when you get this notification you can set it up yourself. Well about lightning network well I would like to say I really don't have much experience but all I know is that it's adoption has been slow maybe due to it complexity but just like you said I have also seen lots of exchanges supporting just that haven't really gotten the time to set it up and use it.
Thanks for the correction. I appreciate that. What happens is that most people just like the on-chain way for all transactions, including small amount. So they do not go for lightning wallet at all because of that but they will speak bad of it because they are not using it. If you use the wallet I listed on that thread like Phoenix Zeus, Mini or Aqua wallet, you see how lightning wallet can be easy to use after you fund your channel. Also some people like traders use lightning payment somethings on exchanges. I use it often than before, especially if what I want to use it for support lightning payment. My altcoins usage even reduced because of lightning network.
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Casinos on: July 01, 2024, 11:05:27 AM
You dont have to be drunk to say all the nonsense like you did now Tongue
Lightning network is not private and it is not a mixer, but you can believe any fantasy you want.
I didnt hear anything positive about Lightning Network from anyone who tried to use it, only from shills who promote it.
I will not have to argue about this. But let me ask you a question. Have you read about lightning network before? About having a node and connect it with another person's node to create a channel? If you have not read it before, you need to read it and understand what bitcoin lightning network is because your posts are very wrong about it.

If you open a channel and you close the channel later, it is like a mixer because the transaction can no more be linked together. That is what I am saying.

I am using lightning network often. Exchanges like Binance, OKX, BitMart, Kucoin and Coinbase are supporting it. Here are some wallets that are supporting it: ⇾ Lists of open-source bitcoin lightning wallets
3  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Beware of Metamask phishing emails on: July 01, 2024, 04:37:17 AM
It could have been something similar to the CoinMarketCap hack sometime back or the recent Coingecko hack.
You mean the email of users leaked on Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? It could also be the user itself submitted his email somewhere online. Even those that submit their email for Trezor newsletter got their email breached by hackers. But is there a way that someone will provide his email somewhere on Metamask? This phishing attacker is common to Metamask users. I guess the bad actor knows definitely that the user are using Metamask.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PH Senator pushes a Ban to POGOs and All Sort of Online Gambling... on: July 01, 2024, 04:23:23 AM
How are they banning the online gambling though? esp the offshore platforms?

Last I heard, when a regulatory body from PH banned binance, it was only at domain level. The result? many folks easily bypassed this by changing DNS lol. A cease and desist was suggested but of course, they wouldn't wanna put that much effort.
Those countries do not have rules that can effectively ban offshore services. They will only lose on tax if they ban online gambling. People will move to the offshore gambling sites to gamble. Sometimes I think about how illiterate some leaders are thinking. This kind of thinking is so illiterate. I am not expecting a senator to think like this, not to talk of proposing such bill. I hope the bill will not be passed.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever Hated someone because he/she win too much, when you are constantly losing? on: July 01, 2024, 04:15:43 AM
I see this issue. The issue here seems so personal because as we can see the guy is just basically jealous of his friend which for me some people really exist, it is just sad because it's your friend you feel and think about.
Because if I am in his situation, I will be more happy. Especially gambling is more on luck and that's normal.
With what I read on that image, that is more than jealous, it is envy. You can be jealous of a friend and tell him that you are jealous but wishing good for the person and also want his or her progress. But when it comes to envy, it is a bad thing.

After all, it is just gambling. It is not a means of looking for money because it is risky. I hope his envy will not let him use high amount to gamble in the process of looking for ways to be like his friend. If he losses more money, that is his own cup of tea.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why would anyone still be using VIABTC accelerator now? on: June 30, 2024, 10:00:32 PM
The Viabtc accelerator is always useful when the transaction fee becomes too high for the average person to pay, and if you have a transaction you want to confirm very fast and yet you don't want to pay the required fee at that moment to make it go fast, then you can use the Viabtc accelerator.
When the mempool become congested, people will find it difficult to submit their unconfirmed transaction txid on ViaBTC. I do not rely on VIABTC anymore when I know it is not that useful during mempool congestion. I prefer to use lightning network for small amount of transaction which really helped me a lot during the last mempool congestion.

I was asking why would anyone still use it NOW?!
Probably ignorance.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platform require wager on first deposit before withdrawal on: June 30, 2024, 08:52:57 AM
It's legal to prevent money laundering schemes which these gambling sites are trying to avoid to keep their business intact. I just don't know about the percentage that must be used but it is said that it's supposed to be done only in the first deposit which makes me curious if there's still a wagering amount needed for the next to be able to withdraw.

I mean, what if these money launderers find a hole in that rule of them? Deposit once, wager it, or much better lose it all and then deposit again. Will it give them the free pass to withdraw it back afterward?
Those kinds of questions makes me scared that these bad intentions will do harm to the gambling industry after washing their money.
As much as gamblers want to assure their withdrawals, the platform itself wants to secure as well that any gambler won't resort into money laundering, so it's the least the casino can do to avoid this kind of modus. And if the country's gambling boards approves it, then rest assured that it's 100% legal. It's up to the gambler itself if he will pursue wagering on that certain casino or not.
We should not discuss about money laundering at all on this thread. I do not know why people are discussing about money laundering here. It is wrong. A gambling site can only increase the percentage to win before they can be able to withdraw because they do not want the users to be able to win up to the percentage required for withdraw. This is not about money laundering at all. Let us stop discussing about money laundering on this thread.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Was it a Gut's feeling a Mathematical calculation or a Coincident? on: June 30, 2024, 08:44:03 AM
Unless you have the power to see the future, it's more likely just a coincidence.
Likely? It is not likely but certainly that it is luck. What that deceived the person to believe it is his initiative is because he might truly think of the number and win the lottery. Anyone that such happened to can also believe that if the person do not think in other ways like we do. But that is what that is called coincidence and it is 100% luck.

If he thinks it is his initiative, let him continue with other lotteries and see if he is going to win. After several losses, he will understand that it is just luck and nothing more than luck.
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Casinos on: June 30, 2024, 12:57:03 AM
Transactions on the Lightning Network are private, so we can't know the exact number or nature of the transactions like we can with Bitcoin on-chain.
This is bullshit.
Lightning does not have private transactions.
Hope you are not yet drunk before making this post. You do not have to correct someone's posts with wrong information. You can go for your own node and channel. It is true that lightning transactions are private than on-chain transactions. In fact, if you have you own lightning node and channel, the transactions you make is like you are using a mixer.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling platform require wager on first deposit before withdrawal on: June 29, 2024, 08:07:19 PM
Even if the rules are placed because of some certain reasons like money laundering and others, I still feel its too high it just as if the casino is actually telling you that your money is gone once you make that deposit. Believe to roll over x5 in gambling is never an easy task and am sure it's one of their shady tactics to actually trap some gamblers there.
To win 5 times of your first time deposit on a casino or any other gambling site can not be about money laundering. It is even not related to money laundering at all. It is simply just a means that nearly all gamblance that make first time deposit in the gambling site will not be able to win but lose. That is what I see more about it. I can not use the gambling site when there are other good gambling sites.
11  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Casinos on: June 29, 2024, 08:01:31 AM
Seems like you need to find just a casino where you can bet with BTC! There are various options on the market, so find the most suitable for you!
Your post is off-topic to this discussion because we all know that almost all the crypto gambling sites are having bitcoin as one of the ways their customers can deposit and withdraw. The question is about bitcoin lightning network deposit and withdraw and not just about bitcoin deposit and withdraw. Most crypto gambling sites do not have bitcoin lightning network deposit and withdraw option.

I thought this is a casino that uses Lightening Network and unknown to me that you are asking for casinos that uses Lightening Network for transaction. And from your first paragraph of the thread, people that uses Lightening Network are not much and in most cases because of the cumbersome nature of the network makes people not to frequently using it. If not it would have been a good network to be using because the transaction fee is low. But people are not using it like the other ones. And I didn't think casinos that are using Lightning Network will have many customers because of it nature of usage.
The more exchanges and wallets that have bitcoin lightning network, the more people will use it. I will like to be seeing bitcoin lightning network deposit and withdraw on most crypto gambling sites. There are some wallets and exchanges that have it already.
12  Other / Meta / Re: [Req]Report to moderator button on post history page on: June 28, 2024, 03:26:02 PM
We have requested for this feature several times before on this forum but nothing was done. Let us hope if PowerGlove can do something about it. And if he does, I hope theymos will allow it. There  is no one that is reporting posts very well that will not notice that this forum needs the feature. This will help reporters not to be opening the posts on by one. It makes the work done faster and easier.
13  Economy / Lending / Re: 200$ Loan on: June 28, 2024, 02:24:33 PM
Yes, I just don't use too much bitcointalk, this doesn't make me a bad actor
Do you not know the reason why nobody will lend you this money on this forum? What if someone lend you the money and you do not pay back, you got nothing to lose.

If you want to borrow money on this forum, you will need to have a collateral for it or you will have to be in a signature campaign. In a way the person that wants to loan you the money will know that you have high probability that you will pay the money back.

The way you requested for it and your reputation on this forum, this is not more than a scam if someone lend you the money because the probability of you to pay back the money is zero.
14  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin Lightning Network Casinos on: June 28, 2024, 11:51:56 AM
does anyone know if there is any problem in supporting lighting? does it cost more or anything?
There is no problem in supporting lightning but probably the gambling sites see many options like altcoins that their users can use instead. If their users are sending them messages and they are many about when they want to support lightning network, they will consider having it and later support it. What I think can be the problem is that they may want to run a lightning node and which will be running 24/7 but the money generated from it may be small to them. What I think they may be thinking also is the security of their customers fund. But there are many casino sites that are very rich and having lightning network is something small for them to do.
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The benefits of Gambling on: June 28, 2024, 10:46:35 AM
for example in Macau, this is one example of how a country benefits from the presence of a gambling industry in their country.
Macau is a very developed nation under China, but using Macau as an example is what I do not understand. All countries that legalize gambling and collecting tax from gambling are benefiting from gambling despite that people in their country will be employed by the gambling sites.

We all know how gambling works, and it is pure luck, you can't get profits every time. So for me, I really discourage people who fully rely on gambling as only source of income.
They will learn their lesson and know how gambling is when they lose all their money used for gambling. Gambling is not a job. It can not be used as a source of income.

17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What you need to do if you want to suceed in bitcointalk. on: June 27, 2024, 06:53:27 PM
Something that seems to me very well if you do it in an honest way and put effort and commitment, because the money you earn in an honest way is a measure of the success you have, of the value you bring to society.
But some people contribute little or nothing but get to full member and join campaign. People that are very useful on this forum have most of their posts on the first page of discussion threads while just few on the second and third page of discussion threads while very little on more than third page of discussion threads.
But you are not wrong because I noticed that these good posters are on one of the best campaigns on this forum and they have better reputation and thick skin.
I won't really use the first page or second page to determine people who are useful to this forum. For me You know people that are useful to the forum by the quality of post they make. Have you considered global time difference before you made this assumption? Everbody can't be awake at the same time and be active in the forum 24 hours to make sure their posts appears in the first Page or second page. You can only contribute to a discussion at the point you meet it, so it won't be wise to generalize that people who post from the 3 page upward are not useful to the forum.
Hope you are reading what people are posting on the each m page? I think you are not reading it. If you are reading it, you will understand what I posted that it is true. If you sleep and wake up and only think to read the OP and post immediately after the second page without reading what other people have posted, you will repeat what others have posted and that kind of spamming is common on this forum.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bookmaker's predictive mistakes. on: June 27, 2024, 03:01:49 PM
Looking for bookmakers mistake in order for you to take advantage of the net is a waste of time. This is because they make mistakes once in a while since it is their job to calculate the odds and they know what is involved if any mistakes happens. However, nobody is perfect and there are some matches that the bookmakers will predict but after the game it turns out to be the opposite, most bettors will also run at loss, since it was the underdog that won the match.
I also see it as a waste of time. If I want to bet, I go for better odds that I think I have the highest chance to win. But there are some time that you will see the bookmakers make mistake but which is not common because these betting sites also check other betting sites to see how their odds are. That is why you will see that all the odds on bookmakers are almost the same, including the matches odd that you think they make mistakes.

Looking for the mistake will only also take me time that I need to have on other things. I do not really have time to bet which can not make me to go for that kind of betting. Betting is just for fun and not for making money, but the research that could cost me might make it not fun for me.
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN FUTURE IN DOUBT on: June 27, 2024, 12:02:50 PM
What will be the future of bitcoin as investors shift their focus from bitcoin to the second-largest crypto asset by market capitalization.
Where did you get this rubbish information from?

According to research note published by CryptoSlate.
The exchange, citing various data such as options skewness, portfolio adjustments and whale stocks, noted that the launch of the ETF is likely to boost the long-term price of Ethereum.
And as such investors are selling bitcoin in their possession, to acquire Ethereum and I begin to doubt the future of bitcoin!
If this the information you are talking about, the speculation of the ETF that I read about is that ethereum ETF can go up to  $15 billion. But did you know the market cap of bitcoin? It is in trillion dollars.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Your strategies of spreading bitcoin given to you to yield more. on: June 27, 2024, 11:47:17 AM
If I am given 3 BTC, I will sell almost all and use it to setup a business that can be generating me more money. I can use parts of the profit that I am making from the business to invest in bitcoin.
Within three months?
What kind of business can you set up within three months to give you more than the value of the bitcoin? I want to know because I am someone that loves business and I have the thinking that no matter the amount of money spent to start up a business, the business can still fail and then three months is still a very short time for any big business to accumulate enough profits to even cover the cost of setting it up.
Bitcoin investment can neither do it this time around. Even when the price is low, it is very possible that it can not increase 3x. Altcoins can do it but they are like gambling. Some other investment can do it but they are gambling either. Business is what I think to be the best to go for. But you are not wrong that no business can make such amount of money within a short period of time.
