2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Laszlo Pizza purchase a group effort among early BTC “devs”? on: June 27, 2024, 10:49:57 AM
I’ve spent hours digging through Sirius's /Martti Malmi email dump with Satoshi ( https://mmalmi.github.io/satoshi/ ). He decided to release these emails as some sort of evidence for the Craig Wright court case, I believe to help prove Craig is NOT Satoshi. If you haven’t dug in yet, holy shit do yourself a favor, it’s fascinating stuff !!

Anyways, I noticed that the idea of the first bitcoin transaction being used as a medium of exchange for pizza was Sirius’s idea, as he used purchasing pizza with btc in the very first bitcoin FAQ on Bitcoin.org, something Satoshi asked him to create.

Clearly a planned out event by early bitcoin “developers”, as you can see by BitcoinFX who hints/winks with his first post (“Bitcoin Hairdresser”) then shortly after asks why Laszlo’s proposing this, if he’s just hungry or ? ( as if he doesn’t know exactly why).  Laszlo plays along stating he “thought it’d be interesting to say he bought pizza with btc”. I know Laszlo was an early developer/helper (I don’t know if you’d call Laszlo a developer the same as I’m not sure if Theymos is/can technically be considered as such???).  I’m guessing BitcoinFX likely played a similar role helping Sirius & or Satoshi get BTC off the ground. (I’ve yet to dig in to their post history, so a full on assumption/guess).

NewLibertyStandard (who happens to be the first “person” to create a bitcoin exchange, who Satoshi included in emails early on with Sirius due to his early adoption/creation of the exchange) as well as Sirius can be seen shortly after Laszlo making his announcement that a deal had been made, congratulating him.  Again, two early “devs” playing along, clearly.  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

So the first transaction was no accident or something of sheer “light bulb idea, right place- right time” and a hungry belly. I’m assuming I’m not the first to mention this here on btalk but I couldn’t find any similar threads having done so  (Apologies mods if one has already been created and I’m just doubling up).

Also, I can’t seem to find the original Bitcoin.org FAQ, as I’m curious/guessing the pizza for bitcoins faq Sirius drew up was posted as an example for at least a period of time Huh  Perhaps Laszlo even discussed this eventually???

Any further insight to my assumptions would be appreciated.
Thats not that much important nowadays that whose idea was this and who started it. The main thing that we need to focus is that what will be the positive and negative impacts of this. Buying pizza from Bitcoin is not a joke as governments are not allowing Bitcoin to integrate into payments.

It will be very difficult to get this idea practical we have to make sure that Bitcoin should be integrated with different payment gateways. This will be a part of Bitcoins success story.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For me, Bitcoin is just a financial Game. on: June 27, 2024, 10:34:14 AM
Firstly, despite Bitcoin's distinctiveness and its own complexity compared to other financial forms like fiat currency, gold, etc., its essence remains "money."
Secondly, the price volatility of Bitcoin is highly enticing; it constantly alters our psychology, which is why I refer to Bitcoin as a financial game.

Be mindful: if it's a game, there are rules to follow, risks involved, and winners and losers. Before you engage, research investment strategies, media influence, key influencers, benefits, risks, etc. Take charge of the game; don't let it control you.

Yeah it's true to some extent. The biggest thing you can do is that you should practice to control on your nerves. The market is volatile and to survive in these kinds of conditions you should have a very strong control over your decisions and investments.

The plan should be clear and the profit should be set. After achieving the calculated profits you should exit the market no matter what the conditions are. Greed is not good in crypto if you want stable income.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin and not any Altcoin? on: June 27, 2024, 10:12:42 AM
What is your most important pro Bitcoin argument?
We know many Altcoins want to be better compared to Bitcoin but have failed so far
Please share here and also add a short comment why it is your most important Bitcoin argument.

My most important Bitcoin argument is PoW because PoW really ensures Bitcoin is safe and can't be attacked very easily, like it is possible for PoS, for example.

I think Bitcoin is safe to invest from both security point of view and investment point of view. I have seen people investing in Bitcoin and then getting the profit that they want. Altcoins are also good but they are more volatile then Bitcoin.

Bitcoin can make you wait for long but it will ensure you some very good profits. Blockchains have been hacked and we have been hearing it for some time but Bitcoins are the most safest amongst all of them.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quit the doubt, it's not too late for Bitcoin investment. on: June 27, 2024, 10:02:11 AM
~snip~
Nevertheless, if there's anyone who's willing to invest in Bitcoin but still have doubts, I put it to you that the best decision you'll make is to buy Bitcoin and Hodl, don't get discouraged by the drop in price cause I believe you should've known by now what volatility means.

I don't know why it occurs to people to open topics like this as if it will help someone to overcome their doubt - after all, this is a BTT forum where most people still own more or less BTC. Advising people what to do with their money is mostly a bad idea, and when it comes to BTC, it's not just about the price, but all other risks arising from such an investment should be taken into account.

Telling someone to buy BTC is easy, but if that's the only advice you're going to give someone, then maybe it's better not to say anything.
Your right that we have to take the risks into account but don't you think that the safest coin to invest into the world of crypto is Bitcoin?

We have seen in the past that coin have dumped so many people but Bitcoin had make people to wait for profits but it never dumped it's investors. I think the safest one to invest is Bitcoin.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it possible to pitch a Bitcoin investment idea and gain backings? on: June 23, 2024, 10:50:45 AM
Is it possible for a potential investor (without funds but with a good idea and a great proposal for investors), to pitch a Bitcoin investment idea to a group of friends and family and companies, with projections of good profit but with their invested funds, to gain backings?

The underlined word is "to pitch a Bitcoin investment idea";

It's possible , but you must have solid investment plan and have unique selling point that makes you different with other crypto asset management companies . Perhaps you're very good in short term investment and have good track record ? something like that .

Since you mentioned is a Bitcoin investment idea , are you planning to invest solely in bitcoin ? I suggest diversifying as it plays a crucial role in the risk management of a crypto portfolio. Allocating investments among different cryptocurrencies and types of assets allows investors to diminish the effects of underperformance in any single investment.

Anyway is quite risky offering investment opportunities to close friend of family , but if you want to do it , you need to be professional and don't forget the paperwork .

The most important point to ponder. The paper statement is very useful when it comes to the terms between the investors. I have faced this issue that I was doing the same thing with a relative and I didn't bothered to have the paper work done..

At last it costed me some of my relations and asset's also so for all those who are listening don't take the paper work litely. Do it on time.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $BOME Time to buy? on: June 23, 2024, 10:35:15 AM
Quote from: Essential10
The names of several meme coins are heard around, one of them is Bome coin. Many people are attracted to invest in this coin, not much optimistic about this meme coin because I have never invested in meme coin before. Now maybe pumping coins for short term but its not suitable for long term investment for me. But if someone wants to invest in short period of time with big risk then you invest in your personal decision.

Well, nothing wrong of making Bome coin your choice in this season, because there are some evidence that show it will going to do more in the favour of their investors in the future, and to allow those that invested few months ago to achieve income when the bullish season appear soon. I think, many investors see opportunity around the coin that is attracting them to invest what they can afford to lose, and if you want to join the memecoins investors to invest, let it be for short term which is the right way to achieve income from the Bome coin. I think, every memecoins has a risk which is the reason you don't need to invest all your capital on memecoins, because anything can happen that will make the coin to disappear from the market and it will make you never to think of memecoins investment again.
Kindly can you please elaborate that what are the evidences that point towards a positive investment option for BOME. I don't see the positive signs that's why I'm in search of some positive signs so that I can make up my mind towards the investment.

If you can list some points that are strong enough to justify you stance on investment then it'll be very beneficial.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are people still participating in Bounties here? on: June 23, 2024, 09:39:34 AM
I have been wandering around BitcoinTalk for a while and know the reach of Bounties in the last few cycles. This time I was wondering to do a bounty for a client I am helping.
Things that I noticed here:
1. You need to be a Bounty Manager.
Is that a prerequisite? A new account won't be able to do it?
2. I don't see any bounties now.
Has the bounties and hunters phase faded away?

Help: Did anyone organize one or participate in a recent bounty? Would be great if you could share the link.

I have not participated into any of the bounties but I know how much they are in nowadays as people are trying to find the best opportunity and invest accordingly.

A friend of mine had a very good experience while investing and participating into a bounty of which I don't remember the name.

💥🎮 Hey everyone, Today, I’m here to introduce you to a super cool token — DRN! This token is not your average coin; it’s a Play-to-Earn token in the UTON blockchain-DAapps ecosystem. How awesome does that sound? Let’s dive into what makes this treasure token so special! 💎🚀

In the early stages of the game, the supply of DRN is fixed, meaning every token is hard-earned by players completing specific tasks — it’s as real as it gets! Right now, there are at least 7 games generating DRN, including two mega-popular multiplayer games, “SHANHAI” and “SHANHAI: New Rise”! These games aren’t just fun; they’re also a real moneymaker, with retention rates hitting a whopping 90%! Can you believe it? 🔥🔥

While DRN’s price has seen a slight dip recently, don’t fret! With “SHANHAI’s” new economic model gradually rolling out, DRN’s price is bound to skyrocket to new heights! 📈💰

Gamefi projects are very much in market nowadays but I don't get the difference in their fundamentals. As I have gone through your project but that's almost the same feature that other projects are offering I can't see a differentiator.

Kindly do elaborate something useful if there is so that we can get into their details and then after seeing its usefulness we can participate into the project.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a Retirement Bet on: June 23, 2024, 08:20:41 AM
Bitcoin is gaining a lot of popularity and there are people considering it as a retirement investment. How good is this?

It's a good option but you have to be very careful while investing into Bitcoin. As you know that the market is very volatile and the retired persons have certain amount of money that they are alloted while retiring.

You have to hire some good crypto trader or an experienced individual so that they can offer you some very good techniques that will help you to gain some continuous and good profits.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quit the doubt, it's not too late for Bitcoin investment. on: June 23, 2024, 07:51:12 AM
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step and I consider those who were opportuned to mine Bitcoin and also invested at the early days as the ones who took the best step, it's not supposed to be debated cause we've all seen the success of the project from the first day of creation by Satoshi to this present day, except maybe the ones who sold their assets for unnecessary wants, but people who held for a long term are benefiting well from their decisions currently. However there should be no calls for alarm for those who weren't opportuned to invest at the early days cause there's still hope and the different ATH's Bitcoin has reached is a big prove, so the best decision to make is to invest at this point when it's still the current price. The people I feel sorry for are those who have the financial capacity to invest heavily in Bitcoin but still have doubt over it's potential, I mean why would anyone even have doubts when they've seen Bitcoin set different ATH since it's creation to this point, well there would always be a doubting Thomas, those who would still find it difficult to believe even when they've seen prove that sometime is real. Nevertheless, if there's anyone who's willing to invest in Bitcoin but still have doubts, I put it to you that the best decision you'll make is to buy Bitcoin and Hodl, don't get discouraged by the drop in price cause I believe you should've known by now what volatility means.
Yes I think it's not that much late to Invest into Bitcoin because now it's time for bitcoin to revolutionise now. As the world is changing now and everything is being digitised and generation Z like to automate every single thing.

Bitcoin will also be a part of the changing world and it will play a very crucial role in advancement of AI and automobile sector.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Remember on: June 23, 2024, 07:27:37 AM
"The best way to make Bitcoin fail is to believe that its success is guaranteed [...] The big compromise in a strongly decentralized system is that it's all of our jobs to look out for it."

Quote from: Greg Maxwell
The best way to make Bitcoin fail is to believe that its success is guaranteed. I too believe that Bitcoin is strong, but it is only strong because people will fight to protect it. If a threat arises and people sit back and do little saying, "Bitcoin is strong, the market will provide protection" then it will fail. There isn't any higher authority. Each and every user of Bitcoin is personally responsible for protecting it. We are the market, the invisible hand. Bitcoin's strength arises because people do step up and protect it, so we must never take that assumption of strength as a reason to not act. All systems have their costs and compromises. The big compromise in a strongly decenteralized system is that it all of our jobs to look out for it. Is Mankind mature enough for that kind of responsibility? I think so-- Bitcoin isn't the only thing that exists because of our collective will. "It is the common fate of the indolent to see their rights become a prey to the active. The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime and the punishment of his guilt.”
A very elegant and valuable advice for all the Bitcoin holders. You have to protect its value. Don't just go after the profits. Try to save the value of Bitcoin along with the profit that you will get from it.

Thats the moralities we should have a deep focus on. Nowadays people have become so much selfish that they don't know how to protect the source from which they are benefited.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I'm happy I can finally say something about bitcoin. on: June 23, 2024, 06:46:01 AM
On January 3rd 2009, Satoshi Nakamoto created the Bitcoin network as a form of cryptocurrency. It was the first time in the history of money that someone was introduced a form of money that is absolutely intangible, does not exist in a any physical form; which means that it was introduced as a form of money can be used as a means of exchange yet can not be touched or physically felt.

More importantly, Bitcoin was introduced as a form of money that is completely decentralized. Bitcoin network was introduced as a system of money that totally forbids any form of control by governmental or private institutions including the brain or brains behind it's existence. Bitcoin was created to run on a digital ledger called the  blockchain technology.

This system of money was completely new to human existence when it was first introduced as there's never been a similar system of money that was ever adopted as a means of exchange and that was why many people who got the knowledge of Bitcoin at it's early stage of existence never believed that it was going to be a successful project. It was because of the numerous uncertainties surrounding the possibility of the digital coin to succeed that made many people who got the first hand information about Bitcoin to  neglect it even when it would've cost them very little or no money to own hundreds and thousands of bitcoins then.

Despite the doubt by majority of the people who were introduced to Bitcoin as it's earliest stage about the possibility of the coin to achieve the projected purposes it was created for, Bitcoin went on to defile all odds and successfully become first cryptocurrency project that was approved as a means of exchange and store of value in global market.

Today, Bitcoin is currently used as a means of exchange many countries and provinces of the world and just 15 years after Bitcoin was launched, a piece of Bitcoin is currently a little above 65,000 US dollars. The people who never believed that it'll become a successful project hence failed to invest in it when it was first introduced are now living a life of deep regret.

Bitcoin today is considered as the future global currency because of it's ability to solve global financial problems like allowing people from different parts of the world to transmit money at will, anywhere in the world and at any given time. Bitcoin is no longer solving the financial problems of 50-80 million people in one particular country instead, it's now solving the problems of more than 7 billion people and that's why Bitcoin network will continue to expand across the globe until it finally becomes a legal system of money in all parts of the world.

Considering the rate at which Bitcoin is spreading across the globe, it might be globally accepted as a means of exchange in all parts of the world in 10 years to come.
I think it's not that much easy and it wouldn't happen in that much less of the time span. As governments are not ready to accept the fame and spread of Bitcoin nowadays because they are in fear that implying taxes will be someway difficult on crypto.

It would happen after sometime because Bitcoin is gaining a lot of popularity and people are accepting it worldwide.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Didn't buy Bitcoin in 2009? Get a second chance! on: June 23, 2024, 06:39:54 AM
Hehe. How do you plan to be like Bitcoin? First, Bitcoin didn’t start being worth 1 USD, second, you can simply sell your idea without giving the impression that you can replicate Bitcoin ROI, if your product is great, people will invest. Bitcoin didn’t get to where it is because they asked people to invest or made people think it was the best investment. It was a solution, a product. That’s what attracts investors.
All of these lies in is your product is great then people will invest. It the product would have been good then he would never have done such kind of cheap marketing tricks.

It's our fault that we invest in these kinds of projects and these owners get the confidence to launch the second scam project again. Try to be protective with your assets.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Fatigue: Have We Seen the Last of the Free Money Era? on: June 23, 2024, 06:22:47 AM
Hey crypto fam, ever feel like the market's flatlining? I mean, let's be real - we're in a sea of red, and even the airdrops that used to get us hyped are turning into major letdowns. Remember the days when we'd refresh our wallets every five seconds during an airdrop? Now it's just... meh. The whole scene's about as exciting as watching paint dry, am I right?

But hold up, what's this I'm hearing? Caught wind of some chatter about an event that's supposedly giving away over $50,000 in tokens. In this market? You gotta be kidding me. I mean, who's out here throwing around that kind of cash when even the crypto whales are scraping for scraps?

Now, I'm not saying I'm not intrigued. $50,000 is no joke - that's "quit crypto and open a taco stand on the beach" kind of money, especially in these bearish times. But here's what I'm wondering: Is this legit? Have any of you out there actually participated in something like this and come out a winner? Because let me tell you, if I managed to snag even a fraction of that $50k, I'd be doing a happy dance all the way to the bank.

So what's the deal, crypto crew? Are we looking at the real deal or just another overblown promise? Have you ever struck gold in one of these events, or is it all just hype? Cause if this is for real, your boy might just have to dust off his lucky trading socks and give it a shot. After all, in this market, a little hope goes a long way - even if it ends up being false hope, right?

First of all I think the amount is not that much and nowadays the interest of people towards airdrops is increased so much that this will definately not help much to gain and attract the interests of people.

Secondly the details should be more clear and elaborated to get a clear picture of the airdrop. I don't think you have provided enough details. So please enhance your pitching criteria and skills.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins ruining crypto? on: June 23, 2024, 06:07:22 AM
It's 2024 and since late 2023 it has mainly been shitcoins and dumb ass memes that people and degens have been capitalizing on for massive profit and thus this memecoins have huge communities and I believe it's this memes that are soaring the popularity of the SOL chain. I think some people might consider this deviation from what they want crypto to be which is a decentralization of many products which take power away from a centralized community and to the owners of these creations

I came across a project today that reminded me of the decentralization dream, Love Power Movement or LPM(funny name I know lol), It's one of those web3 artists and NFT marketplace where artists get t monetize their art and all but what's peculiar about this project is it had no presale or funding and it's purely pushed by the community. It's a really interesting one, I think the token lists on a few exchanges sometime this week

What do you guys think about this
If we talk about the time right now then you can say that meme coins are indirectly and somehow playing a very crucial and important part in the world of crypto.

If we talk about its positive aspects then it's that memecoins are making people to stick on crypto somehow as altcoins and Bitcoins is not in that much good form right now.

And it's negative impacts is that people are too much attracted to meme coins and in this way creativeness and usefulness will lose its value as people will enjoy investing in meme coins.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trade AI For Human Creativity? on: June 23, 2024, 05:50:41 AM
I know there is an age long dichotomy of AI and humans and how the use of AI will phase out many mundane human works. But it is evident that the time for that has not arrived yet.

Hypothetically though, I believe AI can be a very useful tool for businesses particularly startups who can't afford to employ a specialist for every micro aspect of the business. This came to mind when I saw what LinqAI was doing with some specific AI ML algorithm. LinqAI is a crypto project providing AI-powered solutions for businesses. As a developer I believe training AI to specialize in some mundane task will greatly benefit a lot of businesses.

I will however like to hear your thoughts (not ethically but practically) on "if AI can be trained to be creative and if it's creativity can surpass human spontaneity?" and are project like these worth investing in?
For sure if it's beneficial then people will automatically be attracted to these. We cannot resist AI for too long in the fear of reduction in human Jobs. Ultimately the businesses will adopt AI for lower costs and better results.

We have to be smart to learn and earn through AI not without AI because this world cannot resist it anymore as the hype is getting more and more. So be the one to accept it on time.

how to buy and search for trustwallet presale tokens
Look there are plenty of options that can help you in that but the most important thing is that most of the projects are a scam. They are just created to promote theirselves and at the end you get nothing when you participate in that.

You have to make sure that the project is legit. I can offer you some good telegram groups but I don't want to get in to the controversial talks. You can also get the loss so find it by yourself.
