PLEASE MESSAGE USER MainstreetLP WITH ANY QUERIES, I'M NOT INVOLVED WITH THE PROJECT AND WON'T BE REPLYING TO DIRECT MESSAGES.

New to this thread. I didn't buy in the "sale" but I have 10k Storj and some diskspace. Can anyone say when I can get going? I seem to remember hearing that beta could be open to holders of min. 10k Storj? Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere. As mishax1 says + we have a blog post with more details about Test Group B: http://blog.storj.io/post/118706366258/driveshare-test-group-b-plan

Storj looks promising, looking forward to the next beta!
Thank you for supporting Storj

Appreciate the heads up, as I'm new to Storj forum. Realise you're going into a lot of unchartered new territory, so estimating can be difficult, but how long roughly do you think it is before Storj is ready, at least alpha or beta wise, to support decentralised applications? We are approaching our Test Group B Beta in about 2 months. We believe that Test Group C will last less than expected as most of the requirements to go live will be tested starting in Group B. But giving out an estimate is really hard, things may go wrong during Group B or even C and we may have to go back to the drawing board for some of the components. So even a rough estimate is hard to give seen the delicate nature of software development where an issue could delay deadlines extensively. Nevertheless the team is committed and hard at work to get to the launch as soon as we possibly can.

How can I "mine" Storj?
Storjcoin X (SJCX) cannot be mined. We use "farming" to describe being a DriveShare node of the Storj Network where you share your free storage space in exchange for a reward. To get up to speed we recommend having a read through our FAQ at http://storj.io/faq.

Greetings Storj people! I've just come across Factom, seems like a solid project with launch coming next week. So I began digging into it and saw this video where Storj is mentioned as a partial solution to a particular issue they are addressing. Can the Devs confirm that you are cooperating with the Factom project in any way? BTW, this thread seems a little "dead".. Is there another one with more activity? oh yeah, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lAhLqEn87kM&feature=youtu.be&list=PLz_L4-CmLmke89VhwtTzcNF4TI4RP3tbH We are very close to Factom, both teams are very friendly and open to collaboration. There are very good use cases for both technologies to work together, one for storage the other for record keeping. We are in contact with a number of other projects too, there is a lot going on in the 2.0 space. Storj is open to collaboration and integration with other tech and projects, there are a few launching in 2015, we are working to be one of them. We are also presenting at the Texas Bitcoin Conference this weekend, our Lead Developer Shawn, and Hardware Integration Lead Andrew, will be welcoming guests at the Storj booth. Shawn's speech was today and he's also one of the mentors for the Hackhaton. You can try our forum at https://storjtalk.org. We do monitor all of our channels and reply promptly and also recommend our newsletter to which you can register at http://storj.io. We can't force people to post but we'll be here to assist when they do. We will have more news soon, watch this space. Thanks for the reply, STORJX! It would help a lot if you had one main channel for announcements, because it is a red flag for a potential investor who seeks info on updates and finds the most obvious channel (this one) with barely a few posts per week. But I guess if I make a habit of posting questions and you reply as fast as you just have, that's also a way to do it We have 4 threads on BTCTalk one for each of our apps MetaDisk, DriveShare, Storjcoin X and this one, when there is an announcement I usually post it on all of them. We are a little spread out, but also have any other channel you can think of: Reddit, G+, Twitter, FB, YouTube, Vimeo, IRC, LinkedIn, StorjTalk.org, and so on. When there is activity I'll be there, also super3 is quite active on here. He's just been busy with the Texas Bitcoin Conference and some work we are doing for our platform.

The lower the price the more option there is to get your 10k to be in on the group c testing. Once testing is released everyone who got their 10k at these prices will be laughing. If this storage method works even those who bought in when the group c testing starts will be happy when mass adoption occurs.
Online storage like this is not the killer app we are waiting for but it is what the killer app will sit on top of. There will be many partners lining up, there are now, they are becoming increasingly impatient though because what they want to do relies on this working.
Can we please have some more details from our current testing people to let us know how things are going? It would be great to have weekly updates on what has been achieved or discussions on what is being tackled.
There will be some updates very soon. Make sure you register to our newsletter at http://storj.io.

why has the SJCX price tanked?
I'll reply with another question, why does BTC price goes up and down? As well as any other coin/token? People buys and sells, we as a team don't have any control on the price of SJCX. Speculators do what they feel, I personally believe the value of SJCX is not in the current price but its utility as a token on the Storj Network once it launches.

How much will be reward for Group B or C ? Interesting poject, info about reward will be very useful for users/testers/investors and me too =)
We won't be able to make accurate estimates until we actually test the network and the rewards themselves. But if you feel like reading we have a blog post that talks about the subject here: How much will I make from DriveShare?

Hi guys, im pretty sure Im late to test-group party, but I am extremely interested in this project. I have a server grade workstation with about 2 TB free space, good CPU's, and bandwidth that id be more than willing to use to contribute. I know my handle on BCT is still labeled as newbie, but ive been around crypto for a while. Id love to help beta test, and I will probably be looking to get into group C, if that is still an option. BTC funds are low ATM, but I am going to work on that. Heading over to read the whitepaper now.
Thanks for your support. Yes everyone will be able to participate in Test Group C. Whitepaper is a good place to start but also:

When will Test Group C be running?
We don't have a date set yet. There is a lot to be done still and Test Group A is still ongoing. Does Test group A have a projected time line for that testing or is this an ongoing adhoc arrangement? We will move onto the next phase when the infrastructure and the software is ready for it. We don't have set timelines.

Thank you for the response. Is "A computer that has never been connected to the Internet since before the operating system was installed, and never will." mandatory? I do not want to keep my SJCX on the exchange but unfortunately I do not own an offline computer. Any workaround? Cheers
It is not mandatory but recommended. I personally don't have a computer that has never been connected to the internet. But you can have a Virtual Machine installed on your PC or Mac and leave it disconnected from the network. Check out: https://www.virtualbox.org.

Can I just go poloniex exchanger and purchase 10000 SJCX to join Test Group B?
If yes, what is the process after purchased 10000 SJCX?
Test Group A and B are exclusive to our crowdsale supporters. So even if you buy 10,000 SJCX you won't be able to participate unless you have an SJCX crowdsale address. You will have to wait for Test Group C to be able to join the beta, more info here: http://storj.io/earlyaccess.
