I came here to discuss bitcoin and it seemed to be the biggest forum compared to all the others. Many other bitcoin forums aren't very active at all which isn't good for discussion really.

My biggest problem is that there is too little places to spend it. I would like to have more options where to pay and purchase. Hope it will improve.
This will hopefully improve over time though it isn't going to happen overnight. I agree with you that it is a problem especially for those who want to use it as a currency but in the meantime we can hold it for x number of years and by the time we can spend it many places hopefully it'll be worth much more.

Trading for fiat in my country . And confirmation time. Blockchain syncing in new devices.
Have you looked on local bitcoins? Or maybe even the marketplace here. I'm sure someone will be able to trade with you in some way whether it be bank transfer or some other prepaid card or something.

Sometimes they just go down, much like this site does. I wouldn't start panicking just yet but people need to learn from the gox fiasco because it's only a matter of time before another one dissapears.

Biggest issue for me is lack of merchants accepting it though I think this will grow over time. Personally I don't mind as I'd rather hold onto my bitcoins for a couple of years then spend them when they're hopefully worth a bit more.

Define "cheap price"? Sent you a pm, check your inbox i am looking to buy for ~0.15 BTC0.15?? One or two years to get a Sr member and now you post 80 or 90 times and get it for free?? Hehe something wrong... Wut? It doesn't take one or two years to get a Senior. I think it's around eight months and a Hero is double that. People are selling accounts too cheap but I guess thats because there's so many of them and more become available every day probably.

A cold Carlsberg. They say it's probably the best lager in the world but it's probably not. Ice cold Malta juice...
What's Malta juice? Looks just like orange to me.

Stop calling state of the art cryptocurrency "altcoins". Bitcoin is not special and shouldn't be treated as "the one". Thus: stop using the word "altcoins" and replace with "cryptocurrency" which puts Bitcoin side by side with the so called "altcoins".
Bitcoin is just first mover. It has many problems like high inflation, sickening and pigheaded cult following, bad wealth distribution, ninjalaunch with stealthmine (dev and buddies mine pretty much in private for years before anyone has a chance in getting on the bus - a altcoin new cryptocurrency released in that manner today would be discarded imediately), high energy consumption, a phony "foudation" and a goofy dev "Gavin" who doesn't see the bigger picture and is likely influenced by the wrong people.
I think you can apply the vast majority of this to most alts plus many more. It's not like most alts aren't just scams from the get go with one purpose in mind and that's to get rich quick.

Predict the Bitcoin price for the year 2020. Feel free to use data to support your thesis.
How can anyone provide data on something so speculative? Nobody can predict the price tomorrow or a week from now let alone in 2020. I think we should just wait and see and take every day as it comes. For those with patience we will see soon...

The youngest Bitcoiner I know of is nahtnam. He should be around 15 years old, seeing that he stated that he was 13 over here (which was two years ago). The youngest Bitcoiner I personally know is 17 and I'm 20 years old myself (will be 21 next week). Damn, 13-15 is young, though I guess kids are getting more tech aware and involved these days which is a good thing. I hope getting involved in bitcoin so early will pay off for them in the future. They might be able to take early retirement if they save well.

I think with most things you're paying for the brand. Nike/Adidas/Gucci t-shirts probably cost cents to make but sell for $30-200 or something. Dr Dre was just a genius at marketing these things by getting celebs to wear them - free advertising and it paid of. Now he's half a billionaire because of it. Fair play to him.

Trust, +1, not green.
Registered in 2014.
I want .08BTC for it.
Can you 'provide' a sign message to the escrow for prove the ownership of the account? Or aren't you able? A bitcoin address should be posted here in the forum (in one of your old posts). I have read this in other posts. Could you explain better what does it mean. What is exactly a sign message? A private message? What kind of sign is needed. Sorry, probably my english is not very good. But the account is mine, so I am sure I can do it. Thank you. https://bitcoinmagazine.com/12007/bitcoin-address-sign/I think he's talking about signing a message from a bitcoin address associated with your forum account so you can prove it belongs to you and wasnt stolen.

Normally, earn $50/month is impossible. But if you can make a lot of people join faucet with your refferal link / you got big jackpot, it's possible Or you can try bitcoin faucet & gamble it until you earn $50 in bitcoin gambling is not good advice, he will not get $50 even if he is gambling he will lose all. Not necessarily. He could get lucky. With gambling you just have to know when to quit though I would definitely not recommend it as a source of income as you are more than likely to lose and will eventually, but what i initially said still stands.

Until $500 and no less. It just seems a nice value. If bitcoin was worth 1k at one point then half of that seems fair and reasonable to me.

Agreed. I can't believe this is actual practice in the States. I could understand maybe on your third strike you get a small prison sentence - and I mean small - but not life. If it was a serious crime maybe but not for silly little ones like this especially when it looks like entrapment as well. Life sentence for $20 worth of weed is certainly questionable.
Questionable? He sold some weed. Who the hell would think this is an ok sentence or the right thing to do? However you'd expect someone who's been convicted 3 times already to have come to terms with the shortcomings of his/her particular lifestyle. I'd imagine that after serving his first sentence, he would've already decided that going back to prison is an acceptable risk when it comes to fulfilling his needs. Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time. I understand that the guy might have been dealt a particularly shitty hand from the start but that's no excuse for not taking full responsibility for one's actions/choices. But there shouldn't be any 'time' for selling a small amount of weed especially not a life sentence or anywhere near it. Some people don't have many options to survive and if that's the case then selling small amounts of drugs may be his only recourse.

How do you know his 'personal stash' wasn't taken. He was pretty stupid to have kept any coins at all on his computer. They should have been safe far away from him just in case anything happened to him.

Likely decentralization, but wasn't the double spend an issue with the others and bitcoin solved that? I could be wrong about that though.

Quarkbar is a great coin. it was originally abandoned by the dev but was taken over by the community. Since then it has become one of the most inovative coins. its one of the coins that has a bright future. What makes it innovative and having a bright future? I think most coins claim something similar so why should I check this one out?
