1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] leonArdo - Bitcoin Trading Bot for Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitstamp, Bitfinex.. on: June 24, 2017, 05:12:57 AM
Hi,

Leonardo crashed when I opened a market and closed the tab. I've got this error > http://prntscr.com/fnjgk5

Also, I have some suggestions:

1) First for stop loss. Sometimes, when we are at profit already, we want to raise the stop loss to someone above the point where we bought, tipically to a previous bottom or something like...so we don't loose our current profit if market somehow turns against us...

...but with Leonardo this is not possible, because it does not allow we change any strategy parameters after it's started. So the ability to move the stop loss to wherever we want even the strategy is running would be great.

2) 2nd one is to add the stop loss to ping pong strategy.

3) I don't know if I'm wrong, pls correct me if I am...but I think the stop loss percentage is relative to the margins, is it? if so.. I think it should be relative to the price where it filled the buy order. So, if for example the price drops and therefore the margin drops to a low level, the stop will drop as well (Because it's relative to the margin lower line), and then we will have a loss of more than we initially set for stop loss. Did u get my point?

I know I can make SL at a fixed price, but I think it would be a good idea to use in percentage mode at that way...

So in summary, when margin raises or drops, and there's no buy order filled, then it should follow up and be relative to the margin borders (or to the buy limit order), but when a buy order is filled, it should be relative to the buy order price. What do u think about?

Of course, it's just an idea. Maybe the current way is better, I don't know. Pls let me know. Thnx

Cheers.

Oh no. After I installed the update, all data in the chart is missing, for all pairs!!! The issue is only for Bittrex

http://prntscr.com/fn46ge

Pls tell me how can I fix this.

Thnx

I had to close and re-open all tabs, and now seems fine. The only downside is that I have lost all my strategy data from last session when i closed the tab. So now, I cannot resume strategy.

Anyway Thnx for the update. Looks great.

It runs perfectly on Bittrex. Made a lot of money with this tool which i didn't made when i was trading on the bittrex website. You have much more overview of everything.
I agree with you, leonArdo runs perfectly on Bittrex. and Bittrex provide very good trading experience.

I would like to suggest to create group for leonArdo users, to share/exchange leonArdo and trading opinion and experience.

The group already exists. Pls ask OP to send you an invitation.

When next release will be available? will it contain stop loss feature which I asked some months ago and you told me it would?

Thnx.

Is there something wrong with the data from the Bittrex Exchange for the Clam/BTC pair.  Other currency pairs seem to be working.

Same here, but on all pairs.

Are you guys using the demo? If yes, does a restart fix it? Smiley
What you see you be caused by network problems, and could be temporary.

I'm using the demo version.  I logged off last night and then logged in this morning and find there is only 1hour of data.

that is strange we will look into it. But I am not seeing the same behavior here. Is anyone else having this issue?

I am having the same issue (unable to see historic data), but only with certain pairs.

For some strange reason, every time I close and re-open leonArdo (or after it crashes), the BAT/BTC pair on Bittrex comes back with only has about 2.5 hours of data - all the rest is empty.  It doesn't seem to be able to sync with your data-collection service, and it looses all data it had collected by running here after a restart.

Also on Bittrex, SC/BTC suddenly lost all past data on June 3rd, about 4-5am.  It's as if the coin got created there.  I cannot see anything of the past.

Is there any specific DB file for the coin I could try deleting in the .leonArdo folder for those?

Me too. I'm having issues with BAT and QRL as far as noticed.

Pls fix this.

Thnx.

After I restarted leonArdo, this ocured in all charts for all coins > http://prntscr.com/f8az09 and http://prntscr.com/f8azcd

Looks like a part of chart got demaged...and this was not there before i close leonArdo.

For this, a big part of the candles were removed > http://prntscr.com/f8b040

What's this?

double buy issue still ocurring...bot opened 4 buy orders at a time this time > http://prntscr.com/f8aqx1

Also, I noticed sometimes sell orders are being deleted by the bot (even the strategy is stopped), so buy orders will never be closed, unless i place a manual sell order

I suggest everyone stop using any bots on Poloniex when they are overloaded. The DDos claim is utter bull. Their systems are always bogging down when they hit more than 35K users. there were almost 40K yesterday. It's down again today too. (still is). No API access is working and tons of people have lost money because of the lag/inability to cancel orders or cover short positions. Scary.

Unless they beef up their systems BIGTIME ASAP, a LOT of people will and are pulling their accounts off there for other exchanges. I might be doing the same too.

On the other hand, Leonardo works very well on GOOD exchanges. :-)

Hi, i've got some questions for all people of the forum who can help me:

1) What other exchanges do you suggest? Bittrex is the best one after Polo? It's good for getting some profit as well?

2) what value do people here use for "min. effective gain"? some suggests -1, some -5, is there any specific market conditions or coins conditions to analyse, in order to set this value correctly?

3) Also, when btc pumps like some days ago, and i have all coins leonAro bought devalueted, what do you suggest I do? Waiting for some days for market recover, and exit in profit ... or sell all coins at market price, take the loss, and try to get some better profit in current ping-pong opportunities? what do you think it's better way to go?

Thnx.

Bot bought twice for some coins today > http://prntscr.com/f6scw9

Anyone else faced this bug?

Thnx.

We are looking into it. Was it on Poloniex or Bittrex?

Poloniex.

Another question:

From time to time it happens that a window pops up

"One active order remains. Do you want to cancel it?"

Im pretty sure that I didnt accidently press buttons, so why it is happening?

And deosnt matter what Im clicking "yes / no" the bot stops on that currency.

thx

The best I can tell is that it does that when it's trying to draw funds that aren't available (perhaps the coin value has increased). Try to leave some btc & altcoin for a bit of wiggle room.

Well, in my case I left some btc in the wallet, but yesterday this ocurred again but this time in all coins at a time (i noticed that it was when poloniex was offline), and then it stopped the strategies alone, even for the coins for which there wasn't nothing to buy, in fact there was a sell order of a previous buy, not a buy order, so the bot was not trying to buy anything.

So my guess is this is an API disconnection issue, and not only an issue with lack of btc balance because bot was not trying to buy in some cases.

Why this is happening evrytime? Price increases, but buy order is not going up along with the strategy thresholds. Even when i try to drag and drop the order to the right place, after a certain time, leonArdo keeps placing it at the original price where i dragged it from. So i have to close the strategy and open a new one.

Is this a bug? or is there any settings i have to adjust?

Thnx.

That's because it would have to make a bad trade to continue. You set that up under Min Effective Gain. If you make that a minus number (I use -5 or -1) it'll allow the program to continue. Otherwise it can't until the price comes back to that point.

The idea is that you allow it to make a bad trade occasionally to allow it to continue trading and (hopefully) make more money than you lost in the trade.

Exactly right. Thanks again akeetlebeetle.

Is it clear leomedina01? Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

"make more money than you lost in the trade"?? I think you did not get my point. There's no money lost. I'm refering to a limit buy order (which wasn't filled yet) which was created in a lower price level, but market now has rose, however the buy limit order did not follow up the new strategy margins (which now is a higher price level), in my opnion the buy order should be replaced automatically with one with a higher price (inside the strategy margins) but that's not happening. Pls look at the screenshot > http://prntscr.com/f2qd4f

Hi leomedina01,

The reason is because the buy order is constrained by the previous sell order the bot made. Take a look at the image you sent on. I'm guessing you left the Min effective gain at 0% and therefore that's the highest price the buy order can get without breaking that rule.

If you want it to following the statistics higher, you need to set a negative Min Effective gain value.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

Ok. Thnx for your explanations. Btw, leonArdo is still with the problem of stopping the strategy alone...

I noticed that ZEC payout is being done correctly, but after payout appears in Coinotron, it takes a long time (usually 1+ hour) for the transaction to show up in blockchain explorer and therefore to be clear in my wallet. Why that? This is not good for me since exchange rates may drop in this meanwhile.

Hey,

I checked https://coinotron.com/app?action=myaccount a few mins ago, all was ok and and i had 1.10639974 zec confirmed rewards, and all of a sudden when i checked it in the next minute, it became ONLY 0.31976892 zec, and no payout was done.

I use nicehash to send hashpower. I sent you an email.

Pls check it. Thnx.

I noticed this too. Balance dropping to zero with no payout, earnings a lot lower than normal...

Yeah, balance dropped a lot. Well, website is in maintenance now. They should be fixing that issue. What do u think about?
