Let me explain one more time since I don't think you have read what I have wrote in the main post. I have already stated that I have formatted my PC right away. The virus is gone, I already took care of it. I am interested to find out if anyone else have encountered with the following virus? If someone have experienced such a behavior from a virus? If there's any information about this virus? Or it's something brand new?


So, the weird part is that the exchange account was not affected at all. I have 2FA all kind of security for every single exchange. I am thinking it might be something with javascript injection? Is this possible? Like after you login on the exchange and then you have already pre-set the deposit address and missing the QR code? Isn't something like this possible? Like try to completely and automatically modify and inspect element the website?

I had no breaches in any of my exchanges. And this have happened to a couple of exchanges until I spotted the issue (I haven't sent any money to it, I haven't lost anything) I am just curious about this. If someone can break down to me what are the possibilities of something like this? So let me break down in steps EXACTLY:

1. I login on the exchange, the deposit address looks like it's already pre-set and the QR code is missing.
2. If I hit refresh button on the exchange it still stays the same "pre-set deposit address and QR code still missing"

3. If I login from my phone the site has my normal deposit address and everything is fine.

None of the exchanges where I had account had logins or breaches, everything was in tact and fine. No withdrawals no losses, literally nothing wrong. Only upon login on the site the deposit address is already pre-set and the QR code is missing (I guess QR code is missing so you don't scan it with phone since it will give the right address).

I am familiar with the clipboard malware. But like I said this is not the case. I am interested to see if anyone has any information on what kind of virus is this? This changes the deposit address and removes the QR code off the exchanges. It's like you login and you have already pre-set deposit address and QR code is nowhere near to be found in the exchange. And it's like this on any exchange.

Like I said I have already sorted the issue by formatting my PC but I am just asking if someone is familiar what this might be or explain a bit more?

I am trying to find some information about certain virus that is related with cryptocurrency.

Basically what happened was, somehow I got infected by a virus and it was only targeting any exchange where I had an account (there was no logins on these exchanges from any other IP address).
It was when I login on the exchange and I try to deposit, so when I click on the deposit window to show the deposit address it would always be the same deposit address and the QR code was missing. It was almost like a some kind of virus that has connection with the inspect element of the site when you access it.

So, let's say I login on Binance, then I click on deposit BTC, and the address is completely different on my PC then the one that I am seeing on my tablet and on top of that the QR code for the BTC address on my PC is missing while on my tablet I am seeing this completely fine. And this was not the case just with Binance but with any other exchange.

What I did was I performed a full clean and format my computer. From what I can tell is that none of my passwords or documents were stolen. I even had a wallet with some BTC on it and it wasnt stolen at all however I did changed every single password and re-did all my 2FA so I can be safe.

I guess this virus was all about modifying the inspect element on any site that has relationship with BTC deposits.

My question is, is anyone familiar with such a virus? And it wasn't the case where some viruses modify what you have copied in your clipboard this was like I said more of like an inspect element type of thing on the website.

Just because Energi has 5000 confirmation (ONLY FOR DEPOSITS) doesn't mean that it's "useless coin". The fact that you don't really research well on why they are doing that tells me that you should be using other coins to trade.

So, how do you trade I am curious, if this 5000 confirmations affects you, I don't get it? Because when you trade or decide to switch to another coin for trading from  your main portfolio, you obviously deposit either BTC/ETH/USDT and just exchange them for NRG. Now what on earth prevents you from trading? Because I am trader as well and I don't get obstructed by those 3.5 days. You don't have 3.5 days per 1 trade as far as I am aware.

The only time those 3.5 days apply or 5000 confirmations is when you deposit $NRG from your wallet to the exchange or if you decide to move from 1 exchange to another exchange (that's still considered as deposit, as you withdraw from 1 exchange but you deposit to another).

The reason why 3.5 days or 5000 confirmations is required is to give enough time to people to react if their coins are being stolen. If you join discord you can find a few stories of people clicking on various phishing links and losing their coins (whether is that a coins locked in masternode, staking or just holding). Then they reach out to the energi team and their coins were successfully retrieved after the investigation made by the Energi team. And there's a few other successfully recovered incidents where due to users fault they click/download on random things, gets infected and lose their coins, like with most of the cryptocurrencies, right?

Well that's not the case with Energi. Even though I was thinking like you at the very beginning, that is terrible idea but later down the road when I think a little bit better it is actually beneficial for people/investors to have some kind of a "trust" that they don't have to worry that their coins will be lost or something and they can sleep without thinking that one day their coins might be lost.

I will give you an example of recent Kucoin hack. A lot of cryptocurrencies have been stolen, right? So what happened, you and I as traders will be affected the most, because we trade straight from the exchange and that's where we keep our coins. The exchanges gets hacked and we lose all of our coins. Don't you think it would be better that the coin has their own security system implemented where you, as a trader, and thousands of other investors are protected by this. We can just contact the support team, give all the details, what happens,  and the team will have enough time to investigate. Which means you will get your hacked coins back.

Now back to Kucoin hack. A lot of cryptos have been stolen but Energi wasn't touched at all. Why do you think they didn't touch the Energi? Because they know that the Energi team can lock those addresses and the hackers won't be able to get the funds out of it. The whole purpose of this project is to bring to people as much security as possible and to be more keen towards investors, to make them feel safe and not because of some flaws in the security system of an exchange they end up losing their investment.

Now, I know what you will be saying that, oh this project is extremely centralized, this and that but I stand behind the fact that I will be using Energi in the future. In my opinion this looks extremely risk-free, due to the fact that the team is able to provide security to their investors and to make them feel safe about their investment, which I don't believe there's any other crypto out there that has the same thing, (correct me if I am wrong).

You can also join discord and have a talk with all the members and see what the majority of the people think about the 3.5 days (5000 confirmation), there are people that just hangout in there, investors (stakers, masternode users, liquidity pool providers, traders) and just discuss the problem.

I think this is one of the best and most promising projects out there that offers a lot. Even though Energi is still young but the development is moving with extremely fast pace. I don't think there is any other projects out there like Energi that cares that much about the community, and all of this is happening thanks to their treasury system, allowing them to give back to the community and of course pay for their expenses for development etc ...

I know I might sound like I am heavily invested in Energi but I only own 1000 NRG which I am staking, I don't own a masternode or anything like that.

Why you have listed atob mixer at the top when they are scamming? I see the admin in here logging for 3 times in the past 4 days and he hasnt responded yet. I should've received my mixed coins on 29th of Feb, yet still nothing.

I deposited BTC to the requested address that showed up on the mixing page. I see the coins have been moved to another BTC address but so far I haven't received any coins. When I check with the code it still says "Mixing Status Waiting For Funds". It's been almost 3 days and still not a single BTC I have received. Yes, the address is correct and everything. I can put as much proof as needed.
