Please let us know if you solve your issue since. Too many here don't update their post once the issue is solved. Hope it was for you bro.

Managed to solve the ID problem, but my money is still missing. They offered to open a dispute with the bank, but said that if I was in the wrong ( and they somehow pushed the message as if I was in the wrong ) I'd owe them 20 something euros in administrative fees.

I have a hard time deciding if Wirex sucks or if just their support staff is comprised entirely of fucking idiots.

Because of a Wirex glitch, they lost my money when I had a failed Revolut top up. Wirex keep blaming Revolut but Revolut never got my money in their accounts. I must've told this 5 times to the moron responding to my emails. I told her to let me talk to her manager or senior or whatever and she keeps responding. This issue hasn't been resolved and it's been weeks.

And NOW my Wirex account isn't even working because they're asking for proof of address... again. I say ok, fine, I'll upload a bank statement from TODAY, because that's one of the options available: a bank statement no older than 3 months. Then I get an email saying that I actually need to submit the proof I submitted before for proof of address. But the POA they accepted before was my national ID. And they say I can't use that, because I used it to reverify my proof of identity. They are fucking dead brain morons. They should bring back the live chat, cause they're nothing short of incompetent.

Well, Nice logos and good creativity there. A bit expensive for what the people is used here, but the skills have to be paid.

Thanks for the nice words!  Grin And it is true. Some people do not understand that they do not pay for the amount of time it takes me to create something, but for the amount of time it took me to get to the point where I can make something good fast.

I think it might be better to have 2 cards, as stupid as it may sound.
One for lower deposits ( Wirex, Cryptopay ) and one for bigger deposits ( Bitstamp ). Wirex or such for low deposits, like 50 EUR or something where it won't matter that much if you get 50 or 49 EUR on your actual card, and Bitstamp for deposits over 1000$, as it's more convenient to pay 2% upfront at spot price and be done with it. Reason I don't recommend Bitstamp at lower deposits under 1000$ you get charged 10$ per deposit. If you want to deposit 50$, you actually get to deposit 40$, which is significantly lower than what you'd get using Wirex or Cryptopay.

Complicated stuff, man. If only Bitstamp would lower fees for smaller deposits, it'd be pretty damn perfect.

Does Bitstamp have any foreign exchange fee? 2% fee for loading up the card wouldn't be that bad compared to Wirex or Cryptopay if there's no foreign exchange fee when buying something in RON for example.

Does Wirex not have any foreign exchange fees anymore?

They say that there's no exchange fee now, but they also tell that the conversions are done at "wholesale rate" https://help.wirexapp.com/hc/en-us/articles/207870335-Wirex-fees
What I can tell from my experience is that the conversion in my case (EUR->RON) is done at a rate some 2.2% worse than my old bank's rate. From what I remember, before they had a 3% conversion fee, but I don't know what rate did they use. However, it's a step forward.

Well in that case I'm gonna keep using Cryptopay. 2.2% combined with the awful Bitcoin exchange rate is a lot of money.

That first post REALLY needs some updating.

What's the consensus on the best card for european residents? I use a virtual card from Cryptopay but I hate the fact that the difference in BTC price is like 200 euros. Plus if I use the EUR card with some other currency, I get taxed for that too. Is that really the standard or am I getting ripped off?

Can you do web design, or just print? Yes, this is a very valid question Smiley The better questions is have you ever done a site design previously?

I do dev, and need designers all the time for my side projects.

Hey there. Yes, I do webdesign as well. It's even mentioned  in the title of the thread. Smiley Let me know how I can help you ( PM ).
