If I'm not mistaken, Bawb gots himself some Rhodium. In the form of a limited-edition Neumann U87.

No rhodium for me. Too esoteric. How do you trade it after the zombie apocalypse? (My Neumanns are in traditional nickel and subdued black matte).

Neumann, you are a musician or a sound engineer?

Yes.

r0ach would have even more bragging rights (for traders) if he had mentioned RHODIUM's three month spike in price, up some 50% since 30 May (from some $2850 per oz to some $4450 today (depending on who's quoting), up over $100 since yesterday):

https://apps.catalysts.basf.com/apps/eibprices/mp/DPCharts.aspx?MetalName=Rhodium%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20%20&Market=EIB

Rhodium is a platinum group metal, very rare, used in automotive catalysts, searchlights and as the watchface numerals in some Rolex watches.

You know, in case you care.  :p

Unlike r0ach, I'd rather hold Au over Ag.

and the thing is basically underwater already.  Any type of bad weather and the whole thing is submersed and you die.

Maybe build something that is underwater ... or floating ... like those seasteads. Or similar to oil rigs.

Or a wall around it. As a Dutch person we don’t have a problem with living below sea level.

I just made a trip thru Zeeland, holiday. We came in Ouwerkerk so we visited the 1953 museum. After I started talking to the local people, who are descendants of the survivers. None of them believe they are safe, as the official narrative goes. And they are very suspicious about the sealevel... . There is a difference between official talk and sentiment in those involved in it... . Where do you live Wilhelm?

if you won't answer, she will practice deception.
if your answer will be no, she won't believe what you say.
if your answer will be yes, she will tell you we don't have money to have children.
if your answer will be yes for the moment, she will try to get as much as she can from you as early as possible.

Countries without tax on crypto

Malta
Portugal
Belarus
Panama
Puerto Rico
Singapore (individuals don't pay tax on profits from the crypto trading)
Slovenia (if you have less than 100 tradable days per year)
Germany (if you hold at least 1 year)
Liberland (very pro-bitcoin micro state)
Austria (if you hold at least 1 year)
Denmark is still taxless. It won't STAY that way, getting out while I can.

As a private person, non professional, prfits from monetary metals and BTC are taxfree in Belgium also. Even no need to declare as income.

How are they going to know that you are holding crypto if you do not publicly disclose your addresses? It's only possible if someone is willingly paying their tax and one should do so.

KYC. At some point most people have to get on a gateway to convert fiat to crypto and, at least in the developed countries, those are increasingly requiring stringent identification. Additionally there are some smart people that are already creating tools to track wallet movement and they can use a variety of techniques to tie those to people and groups. Basically, it wouldn't be smart to count on avoiding the taxman.

The taxman is not interested in our crypto holdings, because they are not taxable. That is why we do not need to declare anything. The legal concept is that we buy gold or crypto with already income taxed fiat.

My bank continues to crack down on me. Just got a call that I can't withdraw my money from kraken to my bank account anymore.

As annoying as this is, it's also good news. If they didn't think bitcoin mattered they wouldn't bother. I'll just have to do all my business in person, maybe use the occasional atm.

In which country are you having this problem. (I intend to use Kraken to withdraw too in the future)
Denmark.

It is a bit worrying to see banks making trouble intra-EU. I am in Belgium and have so far not had problems with transactions between my bank (ING) and Kraken and Stamp.

HM, it looks like short term massive decline in bond's yield is cratering the stock market which, in turn, is affecting btc (negatively).
Gold/silver are outperforming, but probably not for too long (short term).
SP500 at 2150-2350 by October? BTW, SP500 is now marginally negative on a 1 year chart.

https://www.tradingview.com/chart/SPX/EsLWA86X-SPX-Top-Date-Coming-2-Sentiment-Low-Free-Market-Timing-Video/

TL;DR If SP500 crashes, bitcoin will go down with it. Then, hopefully, a re-bounce.

I don 't like when BTC follows S&P. Neither if gold follows S&P. It would mean we also run on QE fuel. It should be inverse to S&P... .

If you had a brush in your hand now, how would you draw your lines by looking at this chart? There is only one possible direction which makes sense.

Do you also see what I see?

*$100k incoming (we may skip 2020 too, 2021 is more likely)

Go thru a 7000 to 8000 $ valley first. Seems logic (for what it is worth in this world).  Wink

Hm?

Another "down before up" prognosticator.  May the luck be with you, in the event that you are betting on such proposition, along with a decent number of others who are betting on "down before up," yet need not be named at this time.

Well JJG, actually, for me it doesn 't matter. That is what I learned from you. My Corn value is up and I have plenty of coverage down, even lower than the proposed low. And I am happy with small trades in ladders, so also ready for the big one, be it up or down!  Wink

Hey, Ludwig Von.  I have no reason to doubt your proclamations in regard to having had prepared yourself for either BTC price direction, and therefore your speculation regarding "down before up" is going to carry a decent amount of more credibility, at least in terms of your not talking your books.

However (you see that there is nearly always a "however" hahahaha), I'm still a bit reserved in capitulating to any kind of "down before up" assertion or to give it much credence in terms of expectations.

Just seems to me that, at this time, there would be a lot more pleasure for bitcoin  (to the extent that baby can feel pleasure), to punish those "down before uppers" because baby BTC  does not really seem like she wants to comply with pattern expectations, especially when there are a decent number of "smart than thou" people who seem so damned inclined to treat baby BTC as a mature asset class, and in the heart of hearts of a decent number of actual smart money folks, there remains a decently strong recognition (even if not outwardly shown) that she is merely a baby, and babies don't really tend to behave how you would prefer them to ... those lil fucks.

You are absolutely right. Just adjust a bit, I am trading in small size, a little bit of my stash, well, small stash, and only looking at a bit of Euro in reserve while keeping BTC going up. And in macro view, I have a feeling that all major world fiat currencies are trying to melt down all together, they also love each other after all... . Wink
