101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Walton Chain (WTC) is a SCAM on: October 03, 2017, 08:21:33 AM
I have spoken to Fujian Septwolves Industry Co Ltd  +86 59 2537 7777

They are unaware of Walton Chain (WTC). As a company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, they have a legal obligation to disclose any partnership that would have a material impact on the business. The company does not know who Xu Fang is (according to Walton Chain he is the project sponsor and "seven wolves company supply chain management director"). Xu Fang is certainly not listed in any company filings going back several years:
http://quicktake.morningstar.com/stocknet/secdocuments.aspx?symbol=002029&country=chn
https://www.bloomberg.com/research/stocks/private/people.asp?privcapId=12763522

I have emailed Jin Xiji (SuKi Kim) "former VP of Samsung" about his involvement in the project, I have yet to receive a response.

I have contacted Korea Universtiy to check the SuKi Kim is a Professor Emirates there and that I have the correct contact details.

It is very difficult to find public profiles for most of the team. I have tracked down a Zhu Yanping, who is Taiwanese and has a PhD in engineering, he is not aware of Walton Chain.

Qiu Jun "angel investor" and the "Shenzhen Hong Tao Fund" does not exist, neither does the "Calton Dayton Clothing Co".

So, as the previous poster stated, this should not be viewed as anything other than shit coin for pump and dump.

I find it hard to believe people would invest in project like Watlon Chain based purely on face value and what they say. There are more holes than swiss cheese.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Hail The Scam: Regal Coin! on: October 02, 2017, 08:23:33 PM
I agree.

I haven't been scammed, but there are a lot of "scammy" projects.

Some led by professional fraudsters, others fuelled by promises of getting rich quick, others will good ideas no clue how to deliver them and others just view an ICO as an alternative to crowdfunding.

Someone contacted me the other day about joining an ICO team. It was a pretty cool peer to peer product. I asked what it has to do with the blockchain, and they couldn't answer.

I tend to focus on projects without the hype with friendly and capable teams and projects with the potential to change the world. I view them as 2-3 year investments.

Many people that want to get rich quick don't seem to mind whether or not something is a scam, as long as they get a short-term return. When I first got involved, someone referred to pump and dump shit coins. I now understand what they mean. Most coins are shit coins.

I am really surprised that Walton Chain is not listed/reviewed on icoPod - the most respected professional ICO rating agency in China.

is it TRX or TRON and where to buy?
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC on: October 02, 2017, 12:10:42 PM
I have also contacted SeptWolves to see if they have (a) worked with WTC, and (b) if they know a Xu Fang.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Walton Chain (WTC) hits the jackpot! on: October 02, 2017, 12:08:25 PM
Don't worry, I have contact SeptWolves to see if (a) they have worked with WTC, and (b) if they know Xu Fang.

I have also contacted several other sources in an attempt to verify the claims.

I know I am close the mark, hence, your response  Grin

Keihatsu has yet to be scammed.

And, yes, I like Zcoin.

I just googled "bitcoin seoul" AND "scam". The man has a history.

Domain privacy service useful, considering.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC on: October 02, 2017, 05:34:11 AM
I've gone into more detail in another post.

In summary: poorly designed website, copy and paste mistakes in the white paper, unable verify the team, cannot verify their claims about contracts and Chinese government support, no evidence of work/productivity (github), controlling too many coins, fake news stories, unconvincing "team" photos and videos (the CEO comes across as a budget actor struggling to read a cue card - you can see the shadow of the cue card), hired a privacy service (associated with numerous scams) to hide the domain registration details, aggressive shills that boot people from Slack & Reddit for asking reasonable questions, pressure tactics (buy more for a master node before it's too late [or we do a runner]), obviously paid shills on twitter and Reddit (hype comments with little substance) etc.

Nothing about it feels right.

I've probably spent far too much time talking about these things.

I strongly suspect that Walton Chain is a scam.

At best, as you say, a very amateurish team and, in my opinion, recklessly hyping and overpromising.

Would a team of experienced individuals, including a form VP of Samsung, be this amatuer?

Either way, I'd be very surprised if a product materialises.

$180,000,000 market cap with no product, no tangible evidence of work and many unsubstantiated claims.

The shills are hyping and talking about a market cap of $1billion this year.

I feel I have a duty to express my concern.

Can you please tell the name of privacy service they hired for hide domain info? Thank you.

Nexperian Holdings

It's worth googling "Nexperian Holdings" AND "WIPO"

Also "bitcoin seoul" AND "scam" < the man has a history.

Please to hear I've made my point!  Grin

I'm happy with a couple of the ICOs I've invested in.

Don't like the scams as they detract from the genuine projects and give crypto a bad name.

I've been unusually vocal about WTC because, to me, it's comically bad.

Au revoir, a bientot!
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC on: October 01, 2017, 02:52:50 PM
why is it pumped?

Because they recently won a competition in China, which will allow them to massproduce their RFID chips. Before october is over they'll be at 12$

Cheesy  I see what you did lol

I'd add to the reasons that the masternode price has been revealed.

So the initial pump was competition based, but then Walton was starting to pullback slightly.  Now that people know the masternode price they're pretty much incentivized to buy now, so it's like a race to arms IMO.  FOMO could really set in because you factor in the hype of this project and the thought of owning a masternode, you're going to have people kicking tires on this ASAP.  Just look at the comments on the reddit AMA, and you can see the thirst is real for locking in masternode amounts ASAP.

I mean, you look at the price of something like a Stratis node (which last I checked cost 1 MILLION USD+), and that doesn't really motivate a normal person to race to buy shares.  5000 is a realistic #, especially for people that already purchased some.  You're talking about a masternode for what looks like one of the biggest projects in recent memory.  With the parent chain and wallet coming this month, the clock is defintely ticking.

Bitcoin fork FUD can't come fast enough, I'm trying to load up cheap!  Cheesy

Or, in other words, please buy more (for a master node) before everyone realises this is a scam.

Sounds more like a sales pyramid as part of a Ponzi scheme to me.

So, the wallet and chain aren't ready yet BUT the project claims to have improved distribution efficiency for major corporates, using its technology, by almost 100%. That makes sense!

There is no evidence the competition they claim to have won actually exists.
Other than they say that they won it.

The photograph they published with the new story about the award is hardly convincing - blokes in t-shirts, outside a building with a portable banner. Not like any prestigious award ceremony I've been too.

People need to stop taking what they say at face value and look for tangible evidence.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Walton Chain (WTC) is a SCAM on: October 01, 2017, 01:12:55 PM
no pickup in the Western media.

Western media is terrible, i would never trust again.

Walton pumped again last night and thank G-D I have enough to make a $masternode$

Hello (another newbie),

There will not be any master nodes.

I suspect the pump is market manipulate by the scammers.

Yeah, I'd only trust the media in totalitarian states.

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Walton Chain (WTC) hits the jackpot! on: October 01, 2017, 12:41:34 PM
After hiring some actors, making them pretend to win a fictitious award, getting them to pretend to be a project team by reading off cue boards and pretending to have support from the Chinese Government...

... and despite being unable to design a decent website or show any evidence of a working product or any code...

... it is truly miraculous that Walton Chain has:

Improved the distribution efficiency of some major Chinese companies by almost 100% and tripled the inventory efficiency in their stores!

Quote
Up to now, many companies such as Tries, Joeone, SMEN in the apparel industry, Kehua, Lipson plastic in the manufacturing industry and Xiangyu group in the warehouse industry have applied for our WTC & RFID integration system. What is impressive is that all of them have benefited a lot by integrating our system! Compared to before integration, their yield rate has increased by 1.2%, the stock turnover increased by 5.8%, the distribution efficiency has improved by almost 100%, and the inventory efficiency almost tripled in their stores.

https://www.reddit.com/r/waltonchain/comments/73j7z4/waltonchain_first_ama_questions_answers/

Unlike many other projects, there is a major breakthrough almost every day.

Remarkable. I am definitely going to buy some WTC. By this time next month, they will have taken over the world and colonised Mars!

117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] WaltonChain WTC on: October 01, 2017, 11:38:24 AM
So there were no mentions about masternode.Even it was said that Wtc won't have any. Now all of a sudden there will b masternodes but there is no information how it will work. How will rewards work, how user will run masternode. Official website is like my young sister made it. If they have such team why don't they have solid website with all official informations on it. The thing with competition is from unofficial tweet with something like "wow we won the competition". Really weird. There is no info about such competition on web. This bitcointalk is also run by community not official. So I'm quite sceptical right now about the project.

I understand your scepticism, but this project is still very young. The future looks insanely bright however, with the mass profuction of the RFID chips Waltonchain will grow to a multibillion dollar platform

Still, you talking about mass production and multi billion platform and team can't even make solid website with official informations on it. These days when every kid can do proper web over night, their looks like mine web from elementary school twenty years ago. How can I trust they can manage multi-billion business? There are also no info how much coins development team will own.etc so guys. Just be careful about your investments. That's all I'm saying.

Precisely, do they strike you as a team that can forge $billion contracts with major companies!? I think not. They'd be laughed out of most boardrooms. Those still in denial about the project being a scam are still putting it down to things being lost in translation. Lol. No way does this project have support from the Chinese Government or any corporations.

The only evidence they have that any progress is being made is from their updates and some dodgy looking websites.

90% of the positivity on Reddit, this forum and twitter is rented/paid for shills.

The latest update is pretty special:

Really!?

No evidence of a working product but they are saying they have improved the distribution efficiency of "billion dollar" companies by almost 100%.

This would be global news and mainstream banks and well-known funds and individuals would be getting in on the action.

This is total BS. It's so bad that it's almost funny.

You have been warned!

The AMA looks promising though https://www.reddit.com/r/waltonchain/comments/73j7z4/waltonchain_first_ama_questions_answers/ Not all in, but one months paycheck going in.

Hello (another newbie trying to defend this nonsense),

The AMA does not look promising.

Those companies listed do not stack up. There are no major companies on board.

LMAO!  Grin

You've had that impact on "$billion" companies already. Lol. Yet no sign of a product and no pickup in the Western media.

WTC is not a scam, don't bullshit here, it is a IOT project, can be a competitor of IOTA.

Okay. Show me proof that it has support from the Chinese Government and a contract with $billion clothing company? Show me any evidence of work on this project, coding, tangible development?

Why has the project chosen to use a privacy service when registering the domain?

Has anyone actually spoken to a member of the team?

The fake news stories, photos and videos are not convincing in any way.

There is more chance of my seeing a unicorn, becoming president of the United States or scoring in a World Cup final than there is of this project being genuine.

120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Walton Chain (WTC) is a SCAM on: September 30, 2017, 11:11:40 PM
FUD this:

Dear members of WTC community,

Good news! The project initiated by Quanzhou Silicon, the technology backup of WTC in China and a subsidiary of Silicon Group, and led by Professor Kim suk ki (Jin xiji) ,former vice president of Samsung Electronics in charge of technology development , has been awarded the " second-class international qualification "(the highest of this year) by the "Strait Prgram" of Jinjiang City , Fujian Province. As a result of this award, government subsidies will be granted to promote the R&D of RFID chips, which is the underlying IoT(Internet of Things) technology, and also to support the establishment of the IoT system.

The competition during the final assessment of the "Strait Prgram" was indeed fierce. Out of the 37 projects which entered the final round, 13 projects won the second-class qualification , 14 were awarded the third-class qualification , and the rest gained fourth-class and fifth-class qualification . As one of the 13 teams winning the second-class qualification, the project led by Professor Kim suk ki of Quanzhou Silicon has proven the solid technological capability of Silicon. This award is one of the highest honors Silicon Group has won in the past 10 months of this year.

WTC foundation sincerely congratulates Silicon Group on this glorious achievement, and believes in a promising prospect of Silicon. In the future, WTC foundation will remain the strategic cooperation with Silicon Group. WTC foundation and Silicon Group have signed further cooperative agreement regarding blockchain, RFID and IoT technology. We hope Silicon Group will speed up the R&D of WTC and its business application , so as to ensure a healthy and steady development of the business ecosystem of WTC , and to contribute to the world's blockchain industry.

Walton Chain Foundation. Sep.28 2017

This competition doesn't even exist, it's a complete figment of your imagination and comically bad.
