101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a lot like eCigarettes on: July 25, 2017, 05:03:04 PM
If you post your thought few years ago, i can agree with your comparison. However, we can see many countries are ready to legalize/accept/regulate bitcoin rather than ban/forbid it and they also acknowledge blockchain technology.
Maybe you should say that some people with power in bitcoin world is trying to take over bitcoin instead Roll Eyes

Some Assian countries are accepting bitcoin in legal measures. This never meant that big capitalist american companies will accept bitcoin. They will oppose bitcoin to save their income and cental systems.
102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best trading site now? on: July 25, 2017, 04:36:07 PM
Yes.

Basically Poloniex has a great trading volume, keeps their coins updated and usually doesn't add any complete shitcoins, nice interface, margin trading, and loads more stuff.  Really their only problem is that sometimes it's laggy when there are big pumps.  That can hurt people big time occasionally and their servers should be a bit better, but basically they're the best altcoin exchange about.

Careful of USDT though, there's a storm abrewin'.
The best trading site now is the poloniex Poloniex is an online money trading website that is tested to be legit. With poloniex you can ensure that your bitcoin is safe and it is worth the trust because in this website you can buy and sell bitcoin.

I think poloniex is not number one. It doesn't list popular ico coins and that's why I don't like it. Bittrex is better for variety of coins you can transact on the platform.

Poloniex's support is working very slow.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Paid your taxes ? on: July 25, 2017, 04:09:52 PM
I'm not gonna pay tax for bitcoin transactions/earnings. It has no link to centralized system and government can't take a shit from me.  Wink

If the government has the balls, they can come over here and see what's gonna happen.  Kiss
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to send ETH contract tokens to exchange sites? on: July 25, 2017, 03:45:52 PM
I have some tokens in MyetherWallet and I want to transfer it to exchanges (hitbtc, etherdelta, bittrex). This is the first I will do some token transfer. Im confused with the Gas on Send Token page on Mew.

How to send tokens? Thank you.

1. Get your exchange token address on your exchange wallet. This is not ETH address, an address specific to that token. Changes for each different token.
2. Go to MEW's send token page.
3. Enter your target address (exchange's token address), amount to send. And that's all.

Be careful, don't use MEW scam web site mistakenly. It's imitating the real MEW web site.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: IT is WAR. Split again. BTC will crash on: July 25, 2017, 03:21:37 PM
War? lol.

Such drama. I could not be happier with a process that is resolving on a solution that is a true consensus. This is exactly what is logical. Any change should be nearly impossible to implement.  Only when it is in everyones interest does a change happen. Scaling is an issue that concerns us all, these BIPs are solutions everyone can live with.
It's working!

Your view is mostly correct.

But what is when someone is bottlenecking these BIPS?

It's not war, it's just an attempt organized by bitcoin haters who are dreaming about having a seperate bitcoin where they have full control on it.
106  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How long does it take you to start getting profit in crypto trading on: July 25, 2017, 02:23:19 PM
How old were you when you bought your first Bitcoin (or altcoins) and how long does it take you to find out a way to profit from crypto trading and raise your fund?

I was 42 when I get my first bitcoin almosy a year ago. I wasn't inside of trading, but then I started it. My first positions created huge loss, then the market rised and I saved my funds within 1 month.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term OIL on: July 24, 2017, 10:09:52 PM
I'm not, but the only position I would open on oil would be a short position.

No need for oil with today's technology, even less with tomorrows

Short positions are great when we're in bear market, but saying we don't need oil anymore does not make sense. Technology and automobile companies' learders are also saying that hybrid cars are not to spread much before 2030 and we will need oil anyways forever.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ICONOMI - Digital Assets Management Platform on: July 24, 2017, 09:56:42 PM
What exchanges you guys use? Etherdelta has very low volume.

Kraken obviously.

Yes the best positive aspect of this fund management coin is it's available on Kraken which is very easy to use and the fastest excchange with good support.

Some coins are suffering from low class exchanges, lucky us, we have kraken for iconomi. At least, we have high volume there.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GGS] Gilgam.es E-Sport platform for everyone crowdsale on: July 24, 2017, 09:51:27 PM
Distribution of tokens

For the participants of our bounty campaigns tokens will be distributed until 27/07/2017.

The tokens which were acquired during ICO sales are restricted to be transferred for a two months period of time.

Gilgam.es Team

Distributing bounty tokens before the participation distribution is not fair, is it? And bounty hunters will dump your coins very hard on you. Interesting decission, honestly. A person paid money for your coins would get his coins earlier than bounty hunters normally.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why do ICO Companies Continue to use Slack? on: July 24, 2017, 09:45:55 PM
On slack, you don't just wonder around and find projects like you could let's say here, on this forum. No, the only people joinning slack channels are ones who are interested in a specific project.

So there are no bystanders or just random people not familiar with a project popping up. Only people who agree with the project and people who disagree gets piled on and banned (which is why I'd guess it's sole wildly used for ICOs as the voice of reason or opposition can be silenced or ignored easier).

That makes it a terrible hugbox.

And it's also terrible feature-wise. Starting with the terrible search system which makes finding relevant info in the sea spam, circlejerk and just general noise just annoyingly hard.

For ICO we need a platform where the admins have options to ban ETH addresses to be shared. I don't know if any of them is out there but there must a software banning adresses starting with 0x there.
111  Economy / Speculation / Re: John McAfee: Bitcoin will go above 500k $ in 3 years on: July 24, 2017, 08:49:35 PM
This is compltely crazy, and even the craziest man from the crazy men gang would not think about it. Moreover he is not to be trusted as he is praising for Bitmain's toy fork.

I saw this news couple days ago and I couldn't belive what I saw. This is crazy, and his bet is idiotic, how to take this guy seriously? I don't know how to process his statement about dick eating, this very stupid statement and I hope that this guy is joking.
Many comments about this, like others I also think that price can't go high so much in so short period of time. This guy will lose his money and his dick, I don't understand why he needed promotion like this one, he could try to be more reasonable in his prediction. But what to expect from the fool, we will see for 3 years what will happen and how close his prediction will be.
It sounds crazy, this is a publicity stunt or what? I don't understand what is he trying to proof. 500k is a huge amount and if he is predicted it in the coming three years to be the value so he must be gone through some working on it, I am astonished what kind of working will it be? There are plenty of things going in my mind to defend this 500k but nothing works on it seriously. He must be high at the time he said such a huge price and is also accepting bets about it. This is strange, he is going to be in a great mess...

That John McAfee is just an elder freak. He is also a good friend of the biggest manipulator Jihan Wu. That's why they try to claim these ideas over the community. So that they push the people for bitcoin or forked new type bitcoin.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: July 24, 2017, 08:42:51 PM
Criminals will always be there, before any money, criminals are rife, criminals can not be stopped while there is life, don't blame bitcoin if criminals use bitcoin for transactions.

I agree with you because criminals will always be there anywhere so this is not one of the bitcoin of crime.

The criminals were before bitcoin and will be after bitcoin. They will always be regardless of the crypto currency. There is no correlation between criminal and crypto currency

The community should stop blaming bitcoin for criminality actions. Criminals get paid in many ways, even via dollars, euros and other currencies. Bitcoin is not a must for them.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BAT - Basic Attention Token ICO (31-5-17)- Worth Investing? on: July 24, 2017, 08:20:13 PM
Web browsers, this is a really competitive market people don't care about peanuts money, more speed and compatibility... I don't mind seeing adverts on the side, they do not bother me - like most people we learned to ignore them.

in summary, I don't see this tech to be used by masses for the next 5 years...

price will drop again

I am sure people said that about java script and fire fox when he created it. I don't know much about it but I believe in the guy that is creating this and his team. I picked some up and just gonna hold and see. I am now using the browser no ads on you tube makes me happy. No longer have to click them off or anything. Can import all your book marks and the browser works much faster then any other browser i use. Your nuts if you think the masses wont use this. Its fire fox on steroids imo. I was skeptical until i did some research. This could end up being the top browser being used in the next 10 years.
This!

Just saw the current price, can't believe it's that cheap right now. Will buy more, this is insanely cheap, imo.

I was one of the lucky persons who can joined its ico and bought some bat tokens there. After the ico closed, we saw 10x pump in the price, total market cap was around 250 millions next day. I didn't sell my bat coins and I'm disappointed for this. It declined a lot.
114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see $50 ? on: July 24, 2017, 08:10:30 PM
Are you just kidding or spamming? Wes we can see $50, but only for 0.002 btc, nor for whole btc. Not $50 only, $500 is not even possible in near future. Please be realistic while asking questions or opening a debate for btc price.
115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which affects the btc price on: July 24, 2017, 07:57:38 PM
It is one of the best value holding coin and when other coins fall,  people buy and store btc. Could be the recent fall of ETH, or any other.
It is not about other currency in my opinion I will say that. Why ETH fall just because they see the market of bitcoin that they are implementing people are afraid to invest. So, they have drop down there prices because they are not that much trusted as Bitcoin. But watch once again it is rising and rising so there would be no problem after 1 August or before as I'm watching the market.

I don't believe any other factor on bitcoin price effect. The only thing is rich people who can sell or buy hundreds of bitcoin in a minute on exchange web sites. This is the main cause for bitcoin price change.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening with all these ethereum Hack ? on: July 24, 2017, 07:39:37 PM
I think there is a problem with the ETHEREUM PLATFORM. I do not think all the hackings are inside jobs but there is a problem with the ETHEREUM CODE that need sorting out or people will loce confidence in this platform. I am surprised people only use ETHEREUM for these ICOS and does not use NXT which has been much more successful in the sense that their wallets are much safer than ETH wallets.

Lots of people here think that ethereum has a security problem but it doesn't have a security problem with its code. The problem the owner of those projects did not take precaution needed to keep their funds in secure. These are only wallet hacks.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Most ICO's are SCAM ? on: July 24, 2017, 05:45:38 PM
Who even told you ico are scams they are 2 types of ico one is legit ico where they actually raise millions and other one is when they are able to raise only some thousands but they show it as millions without any proof. ICO surely have no business model i totally agree with you but if you see any successful ico who listed their coins on exchange people normally sold their coins 2-5 times the price than initial ico which is all that matters for most of investors.

Legit looking projects can easily turn into scams. They be legit at the beginning then scam people. Check populous, polybius, onplace, and some others, you'll see what I mean.
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: should i buy or sell today on: July 23, 2017, 12:15:28 AM
today is a great day to sell your bitcoins because there will be a big dump next month. as you can see the reason why bitcoin is rising today because the panic selling is already stop but dont you know that there will be a panic selling after august 1st because it will be hard for them to outcome the changes at the economy. and one morething buy low sell high. it will not take amonth for the price of bitcoin to dump but you will gain a lot of profit in trading.

A big dump is sure to still happen and i agree, now is the right time to sell because the price is still holding high value. Before a big dump happens better you sell it now and you will get a nice profit if it sell now.

I don't foresee any dump next month. And today is just not the day to trade. For holders, it's time to keep holding, for waiters to buy, it's time to wait only. Not right time to take action, it's very complicated now.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: July 23, 2017, 12:07:19 AM
I'm a teenager and I was dragged into bitcoin myself. I always needed money to buy stuff which was out of reach of my pocket money. So I decided to work with Internet and try to go for many ways of earning such as paid to click websites and survey filling. I usually failed on these platforms and then I came across bitcoin one day. Here I'm today with bitcointalk which gave me immense knowledge about it. I learnt everything slowly (still learning) and carving the niche of earning with bitcoin. :-)

You're lucky but not all the teenagers are luck like you. We need the support of teenagers and young population to have more effective community around bitcoin. Teenagers are willing to know new things, so why not bitcoin? Very different from conventional money.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin eventually kill Altcoin? on: July 22, 2017, 08:08:13 PM
Well, I don't think so... There is so much to implement in other altcoins and eventually cryptos such as Ethereum will take over Bitcoin... Bitcoin doesn't have much to offer than Ethereum

Posted From bitcointalk.org Android App

This is more true, the reverse can happen. Promising altcoins can damage bitcoin's throne and they all can kill bitcoin eventually, maybe in decades.
