I'm on Bitcoin Gold slack, from what they said, you can't solo mine it.

it's been about 24 hours, did you check the miners, internet, power?

Hey guys.
I have a mining rig with 18 Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB. I'm planning to mine bitcoin cash as soon as it drops as i think the first minutes will be crucial. Im thinking now if it is best to mine solo or mine in a pool. I always mined in pools and never mined solo. I found a few pools that are going to introduce bitcoin gold 1st november.
What are your opinions on mining bitcoin gold? does anyone know how to configure solo mining and if its profitable for me? Im now mining zencash since the price of the coin spiked and i stil mine 1 coin a day.
well bitcoin cash dropped already Bitcoin Gold has a slack channel.. google search and you will find it

you're gonna have to figure out what is wrong with the miner. It is power supply, control board or something else? Once you know that, you can probably backtrack and figure out the issue.

got some errors on pool: https://pool.miningspeed.comGPU1 rejected share: [20,"invalid solution 31"] GPU3 rejected share: [20,"invalid solution 30"] GPU0 rejected share: [20,"invalid solution 30"] GPU3 rejected share: [20,"invalid solution 30"] GPU3 rejected share: [20,"invalid solution 32"] etc.. doesn't seem to be accepting any shares.

you might of lost a video card, so I'd do what beachbummer said and pull all the GPUs and work on getting the system stable without adding GPUs.
Reinstall windows and make sure it's solid before adding even one GPU. If you can't get stability without adding GPUs then you have half-split your issue to the mobo or a component on it. You didn't mention your motherboard.
Also be advised a lot of ppl find bad risers that cause the GPUs to appear bad.
So I'd pull all the GPUs, hook your monitor to the integrated and reinstall Windows and get all the updates first. Verify stability and make sure everything is good. Then add one GPU at a time. Which means I'd install the first GPU, make sure you get the correct drivers and make sure the GPU shows up in Device Manager. Then reboot and verify the GPU shows up then fire up claymore and see if you have stability. Baby step up until you run into issues, or maybe it will all be solid--hard to know until you figure out the problem.

Bitcoin Gold No PremineThe Bitcoin Gold developers decided to include a premine at: https://github.com/BTCGPU/BTCGPUTherefore, I created an alternate client that removes the premine. Bitcoin Gold (no premine) Client:https://github.com/realBitcoinGold/BTCGPUYou can see the change here:https://github.com/realBitcoinGold/BTCGPU/commit/623ec59bb35bd4f20031506a4314e45a1d53fa6fIt will be up to the miners to decide what client to use. If 51% of miners use the no-premine client, there will be no premine for Bitcoin Gold. FAQQ: Is this a fork of Bitcoin Gold? A: No, it is an alternative client. If 51%+ (majority) of miners use the no-premine chain, there will be no premine. If the majority of miners want a premine, they can use the premine chain and get a premine. Q: Why should miners want a premine in Bitcoin Gold? A: Use the premine chain if you want developers to get a premine. Maybe it will incentivize them to work on the chain and make it more valuable. Q: What if I try to mine blocks with the no-premine client, but more mining power wants a premine? A: Your mined blocks will be invalid and forked off the main chain. The same is true if you try mining with the pre-mine chain and the majority wants no-premine. i personality think team should be incentivized ... at least knowledge time and dedication should be appreciated .. this alone might be the driving force behind this project or the stopping point . think wisely before choosing well they are using Equihash, so how hard is it to use what Zcash has already done--not like they are recreating the wheel. Even the same Equihash miners will work for Bitcoin Gold. Instead of a premine they could take a certain percentage of the block reward for every coin mined--like Zcash did.

Today Bitmain cancelled many orders of D3 Nov Batch. The status changed from Paid Unshipped Valid to Paid Expired. The payments were made in August.
I know this is the case with many friends (from India).
I would like to know if anyone else's order status changed to expired today and the country to which the order was required to be shipped.
There have been a few threads in this forum as far as Bitmain can't ship to India due to mining and whether it is legal. Google search should find the threads.

I prefer EWBF and dstm. You could try and make comparison.
EWBF you can set the fee at 0, dstm has a 2% fee. For my 5x1070 rig, EWBF is much more stable.

well the mining can't use the CPU/GPU at 100% when gaming and vice versa--of course hashrate will drop.

Hey guys,
I am running 6x P106-100 Gigabyte. I had problems with setting up to work with 6x at the same time, i figured out I had some raisers/psu power problems, now when I start mining with claymore, I get "cannot get temperature" error and then miner restarts and starts working with 5gpu, after some time, same happens with 1 gpu more and then it works with normally with 4gpu.
Any help would be appreciated!
Googling: claymore + cannot get temperature write "-wd 0" in claymore start.bat -in windows power management high, pci off but other posts make it sound like it could be anything from risers to OC. Are your GPUs at stock clocks?

They are forking on 25 Oct, block # has not been announced yet. Rumor has it mining won't begin until November, but nothing firm yet. Best to join their Slack channel if you are interested.
Could you point me in the right direction in joining their slack? Best to google Bitcoin Gold Slack and click on the links.. the invites only last so long so you need to find a current valid invite.

Great! Maybe some news about windows release? On 24th of September you have told that we can expect it in in 1-2 weeks, any updates of dates?
I'm working on it right now. If I'll get new issue reports I have to interrupt the work on it again otherwise it should be ready next week. sure, still waiting for windows version. many people do not familiar with linux, so do i hope any new release soon Ubuminer or nvOC makes it real easy... you can boot off a USB drive. I know Ubuminer has the zm v0.5.0 on it.

using the new Version 0.5.1:
gpu_id 2 5 0x10851f60400 the launch timed out and was terminated cudaMemcpy 1 failed
GPUs are still overclocked, but wanted to let you know the extra info in this new version. Seen this error a few times on GPU #2 so it's my problem GPU.

The GPUs are OC'd to where Claymore and EWBF will run for days. I restarted the zm miner and it's still mining after 4 hours so I'll let it run and see what it does.
This doesn't mean it's stable, it's still overclocked. It could crash simply because I'm using different instructions - different compiler - or simply because of different ordering of instructions. yeah that makes sense. Right now with it overclocked it's running about the same as EWBF, but if I pull the overclocks out it will be slower no doubt. I want to let it run for as long as it will then I can go back and see about pulling the OC's out.

Perhaps the difference is I'm putting the image on a HDD as my USB drive speeds suck from what I can tell. Maybe I should put the image on a USB drive and see if I have the same issue.
