can't mine this coin, I'm not a minner...

I see day by day, ASICS of many coins are launching, individually or multiple. Chinese companies are trying to kill the GPU mining market once again cause they are greedy, just like they did to Bitcoin and Litecoin. GPU Mining died in 2013 and was resurrected in 2015 with the Cryptocoins Generation 2.0, although many of you miners just started mining on 2016 due to huge pumps on those 2.0 cryptocoins.
As Cryptocoins got more popular than in 2011 - 2013. The new generation of Cryptocoins 2015 and afterwards are endangered by ASICS once again, and 2018 looks to be the year of per the title "GPU mining will die in 2018!".
Keep in mind that there are possible ASICS for ethash already for Q1, and even if ETH goes POS, ETC and other ethash coins will be only ASICS and if that happens only Equihash coins will be minable for a time and I have a word that there is already an ASIC in development for Equihash already and will start delivering in Q4 2018. As GPU mining keep gets scarce, other popular coins will have pumps and so ASICS will be born for them.
I want to know your thoughts about it and I wonder the limits of --> "where, there is money to be made, there is greedy"
Keep in mind that this price crashing we are seeing is due also to the fear of ASICS for most GPU mining coins.
wow this is at least the 3rd post of yours about GPU mining... I don't know bro, I recommend a doctor visit.

And everyday noobs come here on the mining section saying they will invest thousands of dollars into mining, idiots. I hope they see your thread and forget mining, mining is a waste of time and there are far too many problems to deal with.
wow bro, you are so anti-mining...

yes its too late for joo. Buy coins leave mining to us.
Is not leave the mining to us, you should have said, leave the mining to idiots who are stuck with mining and cant use the money to buy coins cause a simple research will tell that mining is a waste of time, if miners have used the money to buy coins then their profits would be many many many many many times more and hassle free. ETH will soon be unminable and the only route to amd users is equihash or cryptonight and imagine the load with all those cards. profitability will crash so hard. well who's gonna mine the mineable coins then? which came first, the coins on the exchange or the miners who sold them to the exchange. ETA: you should check out Cardano, which is a better ETH.

Looking good, building a new rig and nvOC will be on it

at 1900 watts I hope you have a dedicated 20 amp breaker or better yet a 220v dedicated line

since this is being compared to Amazon, I think the coin should look at working to get shipping prices lowered like Amazon. I don't know if that's some huge blanket account with a few shippers or how to get them to compete to get Amazon like prices, but shipping will be an issue if I can buy the same product on Amazon or a mom & pop website. Getting ready to jump in on the crowdsale and support this great project.

Love to pic up the B250, but looks like they are sold out everywhere I've looked. As far as CPUs for rigs, I'm guessing you haven't mined MNX with Optiminer miner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2390070.0Even with my i5-7400T it's buried at 100%... the poor celeron I swapped out would lock up in under an hour on MNX. Give MNX a whirl and see what your CPUs show for utilization... I have a 5 x 1070 rig. ETA: if anyone knows of a source for a new B250 for around $150 please let me know. Several resellers on Amazon but they want + $350 for one.

Was using this for several weeks without problems and good hashrates but came home from work yesterday to find it apparently mining for someone else. Checked batch file and relaunched several times but pool showed no login from my account and no shares found.
Back to dstm for me.
I'm sure you have screenshots and info to back up your claims?

Has anyone actually tested this miner thoroughly? I understand the miner itself shows more hashrate on most cards but what about actual numbers. the 2% devfee is totally acceptable if its this much faster in reality, has anyone compared what they actually get on the pool instead of just looking at the miner hashrate? please post results
there's 81 pages of this thread, why rehash what has already been done 1000x over?

So I got the script working last night and found one thing:
1. if you edit the config.bat file and change this: t1S8HRoMoyhBhwXq6zY5vHwqhd9MHSiHWKv.fr178 into something shorter on Server5BatCommand line (like Suprnova Username.rig) the autorun.bat will flag the config.bat as corrupt if it's shorter: C123456789.c1234567 <-- autorun.bat says the config.bat is corrupted, but only for the Server5BatCommand line.

Hi I just tried this on the DSTM 0.5.5, and after setting up everything in the config.bat and running autorun, it says miner.exe is missing, which never was in the DSTM directory to begin with ? where do we get this, also instructions say to double check fminer.bat, but this file also doesn't exist in the DSTM miner folder ?..
Thanks
download the miner from: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2021765.0make a folder and put the miner and this watchdog script in the same folder. The fminer.bat is probably the --> miner.bat file.

with the amount of $$$ in your miners, $140 is a drop in the bucket.

Hello guys. Can any one tell me which pool gives me the accorate hashes on my mining worker. I m using ethermine.org pool. My reporting hashrate is 510MHS but it gives me 459mhs on 2 hours and 367Mhs on 24 hour average What is going wrong with pool. Anyone tell me why its happening with me its pool fault or something else... Try another pool and see what happens. Also if you have a lot of invalid shares your hash rate will be lower. Check your logs if you have any.

I'm on Bitcoin Gold slack, from what they said, you can't solo mine it.
That makes no sense. If you can mine on a pool, you should be able to solo mine. Whether it makes sense to solo mine is a different question. Hey the Bitcoin Gold devs told us that in the slack. Ppl were upset. I really don't think the devs know what is going on as they've changed things quite a few times now.. ico, no ico, no premine, premine, the list keeps going on and on.

You can solo mine it but the difficulty will be so high that it will be near impossible to find a block so it is better to mine on a pool. I myself is planning to mine bitcoin gold with my 48 RX 480AMD cards as soon as the mining is available for public, right now the dev are mining themselves
Devs are saying you can't solo mine it. Also the fork is on 25 Oct, so the devs can't be mining it as it's still 2.5 days away.
