101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible for early adopters of BTC to still have upto 50,000 BTC? on: November 21, 2017, 06:55:10 AM

Definitely possible. Some might have sold theirs when BTC was at half its value today but i still believe that there are some early adopters that are still holding/stocking up btc up to this point. These people might have thought that bitcoin could still be more valuable in the future, and they were right because look at what bitcoin has achieved today.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin forgotten in time ¿? on: November 21, 2017, 02:00:32 AM
How many bitcoins are lost, in wallets, forgotten, or someone who bought some dollars years ago and never looked back again, or in passwords not remembered?
I know that looking at wallet without movements is not a good indicator, since, there are people who have just hodling

The fact that bitcoin is decentralized and only you yourself know where your bitcoin is stored is one of the advantages of this technology but it is also somewhat like a double edged sword because once you forget your keys, then might as well consider your bitcoins gone forever because there is no way to recover them. We could only lament the loss of those coins and to those people who lost them especially if they bought it years ago when it was still dirt cheap. sigh...
103  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I join Bounty..? on: November 21, 2017, 12:49:01 AM
Please I would like to join any available bounty.

Bounties are somewhat exclusive for higher rank members. From what i see, your rank is still newbie, so you should focus on learning the basics on this forum and ranking up first. Although there are some who offer Bounties that newbies could freely join, they are quite few in number.
104  Other / Off-topic / Re: The infuriating assumptions of image captchas on: November 20, 2017, 06:42:48 AM
The moment i saw the the topic, i was suddenly reminded of the time where i was held by a pic captcha from logging in for more than 2 mins. Made my blood boil a little.
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people says gold is better? on: November 20, 2017, 06:09:25 AM
Actually today I watched a video on facebook which is about spending bitcoin and gold in USA,it says it is difficult to spend bitcoin but some places are accepting bitcoins accepting as payment like supermarket, restaurants and some institutions. But no one accepting gold as payment then why still people says gold is better?

The most probable reason i can think of about why people say gold is still better compared to bitcoin is the fact that gold has form. It's physical, tangible and precious that has been around for the past several years. Bitcoin on the other hand is still quite new and i bet if you asked any random stranger on the street a about bitcoin, i can say that not many will be able to know about bitcoin(as what i have experienced). Try to see both like this: Think of a doomsday/apocalypse like scenario. Since gold is physical, it will still be there whereas bitcoin being digital, will disappear with technology.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Check for an ICO Hype on: November 20, 2017, 02:17:10 AM
With all these ICOs popping up like mushrooms all looking very similar, things can get overwhelmingly confusing.

One pattern I noticed was that the bigger the hype, the larger the return is.

How do you guys check an ICO's hype?

Personally, I do the following:

- Check bitcointalk announcement page
- Check ICO FB page and look at engagement (likes can be bought so not really useful)
- Check Youtube and filter by viewcount

Any other tips?

Include there the following:

-Read their WHITEPAPER
-See if they have Roadmaps
-Background Check the people behind it
-See if their product is promising

Research thoroughly before you participate in ICO's.

108  Economy / Speculation / Re: What Else Will Bring Bitcoin Price Down and Keep It There on: November 18, 2017, 03:07:27 AM
After seeing what bitcoin has passed through especially recently and still rebounds and rise even higher. I am now forced to wonder, what on earth would bring the price of bitcoin down and keep it there. What do you think will do this?

If there will be more people who are driven buy greed and decides to manipulate bitcoin. Just take for example the recent commotion that had happened that greatly affected the bitcoin community.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would like to ask on: November 18, 2017, 01:56:16 AM
Did you try to contact the campaign manager about this problem? Or it could be just taking a little while to receive yours.
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can bitcoin drop to $3000? on: November 17, 2017, 06:25:46 AM
If you ask me, it's possible that it could drop down to that value. It's cryptocurrency were talking about here. And all cryptos are volatile in nature. One day, its value is on the roof and then the next day it could fall down like a plane losing an engine. But if you take a look at bitcoin trend right now, I can honestly say that it is highly unlikely for it to drop down to that value. A small drop maybe, but not to that point. So for me, not impossible, but highly unlikely.

113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Book on: November 16, 2017, 07:52:03 AM
Would you guys be interested in reading a book at is aimed around bitcoin and crypto currency in general? It would be a free book of likely 20pages +

It would talk about my personal experience with crypto currency, and it would talk about the evolution of crypto currency and some helpful tips and strategies.

Edit:

100% free
No advertisements in the book or any crap like that

I know there are other books, however I am not competing for business considering I am giving it away free.

Count me in too. It's nice to see some people that are willing to share their knowledge to others. And its free too, all the more reason not to pass this up.  Smiley
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you picky with ICOs? on: November 16, 2017, 02:56:02 AM
Are you picky with ICOs?

Well you should be. When choosing an ICO, everyone should have a vigilant/cautious mentality. We are talking about investments here. Unless you have money to spare, then go and experiment. But if you're just a typical ordinary investor, then better know everything about the ICO your going to participate. A thorough research would be a great help for you.

117  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why people fear about BITCOIN on: November 15, 2017, 08:32:56 AM
BTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTCBTC HuhHuh

I think what people fear is volatility of Bitcoin. We have seen its value fluctuate in the last couple of weeks in significant amounts. But keep in mind that Bitcoin has gone a long way from the moment it was introduced. So it is really just a matter of taking risks and believing in bitcoin.
118  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Sino at paano ba nakokontrol ang presyo ng bitcoin? on: November 15, 2017, 01:17:28 AM
Nkakapag taka lang..halos oras oras nagbabago ang presyo ng palitan ng bitcoin at kahit mga altcoins.sino nga ba / sino sino, paano, ano ano nga ba ang ang mga basis ng pagbabago ng value ng coins(cryptocurrency) any info about this matter..thank you so much

Basic law of economics: Supply at Demand. Ang mga taong tumatangkilik mismo ng Bitcoin ay siya ring dahilan ng pagbabago ng value nito. Kung maraming users ng Bitcoin, lalaki ang demand at tataas ang presyo basi sa supply nito.
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Will there ever be a Bitcoin Bank on: November 14, 2017, 01:51:54 AM
Does anyone on here think that there is ever going to be Bitcoin Bank, be it something which is centralized or something which isn't really doesn't matter. But I'd think of this as a company, or a union (like one of those credit union banks) where loans would be given out to people with trust, money is held, and so on and so forth.

I know many think that they can escape banks, but they are insanely helpful and trustworthy for many everyday people who we'd want to join into the BTC community.

I get what your saying since centralization has its pros; efficiency, security, etc...  But i think it is highly unlikely for Bitcoin to have a bank or a centralized entity because Bitcoin is decentralized in itself, so it would defeat its purpose if there is a centralized entity regulating it. But the idea you have is not impossible.
120  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: November 14, 2017, 01:07:17 AM
What do you think a about it? is it good or bad for bitcoin?

I think the rising in Bitcoin community is a good thing. The more bitcoin users there are, the price of Bitcoin will also be higher. And technology is also moving in the direction of digital currency so i can say that it is a good thing for Bitcoin if not better.
