102  Economy / Speculation / Re: After the dip in crypto, when are we expecting ath? on: May 03, 2024, 03:25:29 AM
With the information I gathered about cryptocurrency, I had interest and decided to buy some coins.
Being fully aware of the volatility of these coins, I was patient and did not panic as their were various degrees of ups and down and was told that this year is the best time to invest in crytocurrency due to the bitcoin halving which has taken place. I have been watching my coins dropping everyday in value thereby inducing fear in me as the value of what I invested has been on the continuous decline.
I do not know how soon they will begin to rise again.

No one for sure knows what is going to happen in the market at this point, but if we are going to base it on history, we can use the Bitcoin Halving timeline as a basis of how the market is going to react in the latest Halving, most of the time the market price needed a lot of time in order to see the effect of halving so that it is going to be a catalyst or some sort of trigger in order to see the Bullrun, it is usually around 365 days before the market could react and see its effect, not to mention we have a lot of innovation and news about Bitcoin that also a huge help on Bitcoin adaptation and popularity. A good example of that is the Bitcoin ETF, El Salvador news, etc.

For sure we are all expecting the Bullrun but the pattern is around 2025 so that is probably where the Bullrun is going to take place we just don't know yet, what I do is just continue to accumulate until that Bullrun since I have a kinda stable source of income at least since I have a full-time job, for my living and expenses, bills, etc. As a side hustle for buying and accumulating Bitcoin, as long as I could survive I could hold my Bitcoin for the long term and expect a much higher profit in the future, so I really recommend having a stable income before accumulating and investing in Bitcoin to avoid losing money.

104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go back to $40K - $30K range before a bigger rally? on: May 02, 2024, 05:51:58 PM
Based on the pattern on the chart, it seems like Bitcoin is going to correct itself but to what extent, no one knows.

We can clearly see that BTC hasn't been able to cross its previous highs after each dip recently which indicates that there is a bearish momentum going on.

So can we expect a major correction or it's going to go up again and reach $80K before halving?

Let's discuss.

Regards
SK

Probably I was expecting at that range if the resistance break because the market price just skyrocketed in the past month and there was only few corrections that actually happened so there might be an even better deep in the coming year, we just don't know but I think it is possible even deep unto 20k$- 30k$, but probably might hold up on 40k$ since we did get a lot of money into Bitcoin when the Bitcoin ETF launches, it really trigger the market so probably it is going to hold up until the Bullrun but surely it wasn't a guaranteed thing. I mean if we are going to followed the Bitcoin Halving timeline it would still need a year before the Bullrun appear, waiting for the Bitcoin halving to take effect, so in that year a lot of things that could happened even things that we never actually experience before, probably Bitcoin could start to skyrocket early or actually drop to a very low market price, there were just too many factors that is affecting the market price so what we just need to do is hold our investment until Bullrun. As long as you have multiple sources of your income there might be no problem holding since that is what I'm doing, I have a full time job and side hustle so far, I accumulated Bitcoin and still holding it, huge percentage for sure was bitcoin.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now that Bitcoin halving have been completed, what next? on: May 02, 2024, 04:09:10 PM
Bitcoin halving was one of the greatest events all Bitcoin lover have been looking forward to. The implication of this will be that miners will have lower reward for mining Bitcoin which will lead to reduction in the quantity of free Bitcoin entering the market. As expected, this is meant to create scarcity and in turn increase in the price of Bitcoin. Many predictions have been made and that leaves one to imagine:
  • What path will Bitcoin chose following the halving
  • If this event will lead to more Bitcoin related innovations?
  • If this will lead to more people getting involved in Bitcoin

While I am optimistic that market will respond positively to the halving, initial reaction does not seem to support that, hence many will be wondering what is going on.

Probably just wait for the next thing that is going to happen, just be updated with the cryptocurrency space news I think, we don't really know what is going to happen next or what the next thing could happen, it was all just gonna depend on what the community is going to do, so just get updated with the news I think, Of course don't forget to bag a lot of Bitcoin accumulate a lot while you still can since we are all hoping for the huge pump in the coming Bullrun. I mean there are a lot of projects and innovations that might be related to Bitcoin and that can be a catalyst or something that might trigger the Bitcoin market to skyrocket and trigger the Bull Run.

I mean the Bitcoin was adapting anyway, compared to the past years it's already integrated and used by a lot of companies, banks, etc. Here in my country, it was already used in E-wallets and even offered as an exchange on some banks where you could buy and sell cryptocurrency, so it's adapting really fast in my opinion so, for sure there will be a supply issue considering the Bitcoin Halving we could surely see its effect in the coming year. Might be great to buy some of the rumors in the market since that is mostly where the hype begins and then possibly be able to make
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cash out or let it ride? on: May 02, 2024, 02:30:19 PM
It might not be worth it I think, with the 50k$ cashout without any risk, I would definitely cash out at this time for sure, because for sure 50k$ was already a good amount I think considering it 100k$ I think the best option was to cashout here already, rather than just losing it all. I mean you surely made your profit on 1500k$ I mean like a huge amount of profit already, I mean 1500k$ was surely a huge bet even though you do gamble a lot and this 50k$ wasn't a big deal and you wanted to make more like 100k$. Just remember most of the topics here telling everyone not to get greedy. So it was one-sided I think cash out is the best option here and then take out a huge percentage of it on your savings account then probably like 20 percent to continue playing. I mean I do NBA bets as well, but wasn't on this level most of the time my higher bets were just around 100$ but still a good profit, it was kind of fun and entertaining at the same time since we are all NBA fans so I think its already a good profit, having that fun and getting the 50k$.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving in this economy needs a new minds set on: May 02, 2024, 12:09:25 PM
With the economy, and increasing inflation rate in my country it was really difficult to survive especially if you are just a minimum wage earning it was for sure going to be difficult just to survive because it is not enough at all, probably your just going to eat and barely pay the bills with your job, but not really to the point where you could eat and buy what you really wanted, I know a lot of people here in my country that is leaving that life to the point where they are already getting depressed, since they were just slave that is just working and working, not really gaining anything or investing anything in the end.

I mean you are actually right in my opinion, I personally have a realization about it, learning it the hard way, I have a full-time job that has low pay, it's above the minimum but still wasn't enough considering I'm just alone, I don't really pay rent, since Im still living with my family, and the bills are split to four people with my sisters, it was actually great, but considering that I barely have any investment and savings, If I'm going to imagine living alone paying rent and bills I don't think I could even survive with my job. So I realize a lot of things through the years, and I learn a lot of it, from an advisor, that actually changes my mindset. I started investing a lot for my future, probably doing to some rules, one thing that struck me was when I heard the quote, Do not buy anything that you can't afford, which is actually true for a lot of people we tend to buy things that we can't really buy, then just end up paying the price for it.

One youtube also make me realize what you can do in just a short amount of time if you are just going to put up your one hundred percent because a lot of people are just getting there time wasted on social media probably a few hours and just on phone scrolling, but if you just put that extra hour on something that could make you an income it is going to make a difference. If you want to make a difference to something stop being lazy and grind every hour. If you are making 20$, and put up the extra hour you might get 10$ extra.
108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does it mean the poor can't breath anymore? on: May 02, 2024, 10:54:21 AM
I think there were just some newbies that weren't doing enough here, I think they weren't really getting attacked like actually bullying newbies, if that is what you're talking about you could probably give some example of that so that we could see it and discuss about it, you could quote that example on your topic. What I think is happening is they were just getting corrected by higher members here who already know how the forums work, I think it's kind of natural for some members to have comments especially if they are seeing something unusual to them.

I know we are all once a newbie, and probably made some mistakes as well when we were just getting started, but if you are doing things wrong, like for example, you are spamming, there will be members that are going to call you out for that, that just means that as a newbie you're not doing enough because you're not reading enough and following the rules. As a newbie, it's obviously your responsibility as well to follow, read the rules, etc. I mean they could easily take that as an encouragement, or probably just teaching newbies, I don't really see members here bullying but just telling them that they are wrong. I don't see any problem with that, if someone corrected you then you should probably take it as a good thing, then learn it again so that the next time you already know what you are saying.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If someone you introduced to BTC says the risks of her funds is on you on: May 02, 2024, 07:54:24 AM
I wouldn't really going to recommend taking funds from someone just to invest in Cryptocurrency or Bitcoin, I mean we already know the how risky it is on be on cryptocurrency so we should be extra careful especially if you are going to take funds from someone, because if you take investment money from someone they might say that it might win or lose, but they surely going to expect a return from you which is not going to end up well for sure because market is not predictable. Even though we could say that market price is going to be a profit in the coming months it wasn't going to be a guaranteed thing at all.

What I would advice in this kind of situation, is never to take any money from anyone because it just going to be a huge problem in the end, what you should say to someone who wants to invest is to actually invest it by himself, so he or she needed to do the hard work, needed to do the research on there own because it involved a huge risk, so that if they lose that money it is going to be their fault. Just don't encourage them to invest at all instead discourage them telling them all of the disadvantages and worst things that could happen, after that if they still want to invest after hearing most of it, then let them process and probably guide them, or else guide him to this forum where he/she might learn a lot.

111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: May 01, 2024, 11:37:45 PM
In my opinion yes, it is considered to be gambling since you are risking your money in order to win, but the only thing is it's going to be a different reward, it's not going to double your money something like that instead your getting stuff toy or some reward. But more like a scam  Grin since I never actually win on a claw machine, I guess if you are a skilled claw machine player it might be a good bet but in my opinion, the chances of winning are very slim so might not be worth it because the quality of your reward wasn't really that great considering your paying a lot for such a cheap stuff toy.

But I guess the good thing here is most of the people that use the machine are just playing for fun because it is really something that you could be proud of with your friends or probably girlfriends if you win a prize then give it to them, it would make you look good as a skilled player  Grin so even though it was kind of a scam not winning, but the moment you win it was really worth it and fun at the same time.

112  Economy / Economics / Re: How safe is it to keep your money and gold underground? on: May 01, 2024, 11:16:24 PM
It's pretty much a good idea I think if we didn't have the technology today, putting your money or gold underground is the best thing in my opinion since it has more advantages than its disadvantages. But if you're going to do that today I think it wasn't applicable at all since you need to consider a lot of things before even doing that, you need to consider its security if you're going to put it on the ground someone might get lucky digging it up and see your money, you also need to protect it from a lot of things that might destroy it like floods, so you need to put it to some kind of container, you need to find a good location probably it's the best if you have a some kind of backyard right? because if you're just gonna put it on public land it might be an issue.

Things are not ideal on today, it's not going to earn a good interest at least, plus the main thing I guess is it not going to be accessible compared to the traditional banks or E-wallet because you could easily access that compared to this one where you need to dig everything you needed the money unless you're going to actually store it on long term, I mean every time you want to put money you needed to dig again, its kinda hassle and risky as well if you exposed your money.
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Simple prediction: 2024 bitcoin at 200.000 dollars on: April 30, 2024, 07:58:44 PM
Probably a very low chance that the market is going to reach that market price, especially this year only, 200 in the market price is going to take a huge amount of cash that needs to be put into Bitcoin, not to mention it needs a catalyst or some sort of trigger in order to have a huge rally where the market could skyrocket on the top and break all-time high.

I would think that the price is gonna be able to reach that, it just wasn't going to be on the halving day, it's true that the halving has a huge effect on the market but it would take some time before it is going to have its effect in the after usually, it takes around a whole year before even it starts to take effect and start a huge rally of Bullrun, in my prediction the market price of the Bullrun all-time high is probably going to be around 150k$ but 200k$ seems to be doable I think.

As expected the market price started to drop down, and I think it was meant to happen on the Bitcoin halving but there were just some delays in the market movement due to high transaction fees.
114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin for newbies like me on: April 29, 2024, 06:00:11 PM

115  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No risk no gain on: April 29, 2024, 03:08:26 PM
I first heard about Bitcoin around 2016 but then I had no idea what Bitcoin was. Someone online was saying to work on it because I don't know anything about it. Then I heard about Bitcoin again in 2022 when the price of Bitcoin was 21000 dollars. I did a little research on Bitcoin and saw that it was good. From whom I heard, I said to a brother, brother, let's invest. Buy a bitcoin and keep it.Fifty percent and I invested fifty percent but that brother did not agree then. Day by day the price of Bitcoin was increasing and the price was going up and down around 25, 30, 31 thousand dollars. Still I told my brother to invest but he did not agree. That price eventually reached 74 thousand dollars. I regretted very much why I didn't take a risk. If you want to do something, you have to take a risk, nothing happens without a risk.

For sure it is going to be a huge risk if you really want to earn a huge amount in cryptocurrency, for those millionaires in the past Bitcoin pump they all risked their money and believed that Bitcoin was going to skyrocket its market price or probably some just get lucky as well on putting their money on it, I mean just imagine the people who invested a lot of money on Bitcoin when the market price was just around 1$-100$ imagine the risk your going to get on that, just like buying 1000 Bitcoin would cost you a lot already without even expecting anything on return. That would be 100k$ already are you willing to risk that on something that doesn't have any kind of proof on profit. I don't really think so considering your gonna need hold Bitcoin for years as well, I mean for sure no one actually is expecting for the market price of Bitcoin to reach what it is right now like 70k$ for sure most of the people that invested are just risk taker and get lucky, probably some just wanted to buy for fun, or probably some are just forget about there investment then luckily able to be millionaire.

117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: April 28, 2024, 11:48:20 PM
I would say that it's both addicting for sure since they both involve money, if you are earning a huge amount of money it is pretty much addicting to just continue playing until you lose everything. I do online gambling on a lot of websites here in the forum just for fun, I would say that it wasn't really that addicting unless it was sports betting on the NBA, I really like the NBA anyway so I really wanted to do a lot of bets at this moment since its Finals the game was just intense at times like this.

I usually do some low-end gambling here in my country just on roads if you are familiar with some carnival, and I would say that it was actually fun compared to playing online since you get to actually interact, and winning was just great compared to just winning online. Didnt know much about high-end gambling casinos, since I never really go to those places because I just see them as a place where you are actually going to lose a huge amount of money so never really go inside a casino even though there were so many casinos here in my city.

118  Economy / Economics / Re: What scares me from investing in gold. on: April 28, 2024, 11:05:19 PM
You could sell your gold easily for sure, it is just a matter of how the value of gold increases, if you're going to buy some kind of gold jewelry you could easily sell it off at any moment but if we are going to compare the increase of the value of Gold to Bitcoin, Bitcoin was surely going to be on the top, but the thing here is Diversification, every investment for sure is going to include risk, If we are just going to invest everything on Bitcoin and it fails then we are going to lose everything, So if you are already well invested on Bitcoin it wouldn't actually hurt to invest as well on Gold, you never know you might make a good profit on it as well, I like buying gold jewelry I mean it holds its value for sure, plus you could use it as jewelry as well.

Still, let's not degrade gold, I mean I've watched a lot of people online hold their gold and then sell it at a much higher price compared to how much they bought it probably ten or more years of holding it. So it's not actually a bad investment as long as the market value is gonna go well for you, you're going to make a good profit out of it if you are lucky, nothing is guaranteed so there are always risks on every investment.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do not let the over excitement after the bull-run pull you out to danger on: April 28, 2024, 10:46:09 PM
It was a thing here in my country if I remember correctly the Axie NFT thing makes a lot of people here in my country rich to the point where they are getting cast on TV on how they are able to earn or get rich by just gaming or on Axie. That was already kind of a promotion since they thought that it was a promising thing, and it's not just the thing because most of the people who get lucky to earn a huge amount on Axie were actually inviting people as well, and that actually ends up as a disaster here in my country probably a lot of people who invested on Axie that time are already late and ended up losing their money, and it's not just a low amount because the value was actually high if you wanted to start playing it would need like 2000$ just to buy a team. I have a lot of friends as well that lose money because they think that it's an easy money thing.

I mean sharing might not actually be a bad thing for sure if you actually earn a good profit here in cryptocurrency I mean you could kinda share that, but just don't encourage them to actually invest, instead discourage them and tell them all of the risk that they are going to take, then if they still wanted to invest after hearing all of that risk, then advice them they should be the one that doing the work research everything that they needed, and invest on there own risk. If we are going to invite them because of our wins it's not going to end well, if they lose money obviously they are going to blame you.

120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Only Sell what you don't need. on: April 27, 2024, 11:59:05 PM
Personally, for me it just doesn't make sense to sell a house or land just to invest in Bitcoin, I mean if you already have it, for sure it is a much safer investment that you have than Bitcoin, mostly these things increase its value over time as well similar to Bitcoin plus its tangible assets compared to Bitcoin which is just speculation, price is just depending on the supply and demand on that market so you have no assurance in the end.

For someone like me who is investing and profiting in Bitcoin so that I could buy a house, land, etc., and make it a passive income it doesn't make sense to sell it just to buy Bitcoin, You have a point if it was just an unusable land for you, it's very far away and you just can't do anything about it, it would make sense just to sell it, then buy a new one that is near you where you could actually use, or possibly make an income out of it. Or even live on it, it's a good inheritance for your son and daughters having these houses and land, etc.

Keep in mind that Bitcoin is still a gamble it is not guaranteed to make any kind of profit out of it, just because you see people get rich on it, it doesn't really mean that you gonna get rich as well, there was a lot of things that you need to consider so make sure you know what you are doing.
