101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John MacAfee - A scam artist? on: January 30, 2018, 12:49:48 PM
I totally agree with you. Actually it's better to consider McAfee a good market manipulator. He can influence a lot of people by just announcing his coin of the week. And most people trusts his announcement because he is well-known. Actually he is smart, it's not his fault why people are buying his tricks. Of course people should be aware that in that kind of signal scheme, usually people who announces pump and dump schemes always do the buying and selling first to gain more.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You have 1m dollars.. on: January 30, 2018, 12:33:11 PM
Where and how would you invest 1m dollars? What coins will you buy? Or will Huh you just put them in Bank? Huh Wink

Investing is too risky and 1 million dollars is a big amount of money. If ever you will invest this big amount of money it's always better to do your own research first. Check if what you are investing to has a working product, a long-term goal, an active and a good team of developer. Also, consider diversifying your investment because not all investments will surely work.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin price continue to go down? on: January 29, 2018, 08:52:58 PM
I have already lost 1/4 of my investment in bitcoin. what can you suggest? should I continue n holding bitcoin or should I just sell it to cut my losses? I eagerly need your help on these one, specially to those people who has experience in trading.

I think you have invested when bitcoin price was increasing before 2017 ends. It was a really bad time to buy because bitcoin price was too high. However, if you can hold your bitcoin since you will incur some losses if you sell now, you can do so because bitcoin price will surely recover. It's a good time to buy more bitcoin if you have spare money since bitcoin price is still down.
104  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: January 16, 2018, 10:26:08 AM
Some countries or state have been accepting this kind of marriage. Here in the Philippines, we do not recognize it as legal or something like that. How about in your country?

Actually, I am in favor of same sex marriage for the very reason that we should give other people the chance to be happy by choosing the person they want to spend their life with, regardless of the gender. We may never understand them because we aren't in the same situation as them. So, the best thing to do is to respect their decision.
105  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you all in when trading? on: January 16, 2018, 10:11:07 AM
This would produce the most gains , but if you predict wrong you could be stuck waiting for the price to either come back up or down to get back in. I did this the other day. I sold and bought back in at what I had predicted was going to be the next upswing. However some last second sellers swooped in and dropped the price below my limit. Then it just continued to fall from there. Now I sit and wait for the price to come back up to my purchase price so I can get back at it. I hate waiting. I get antsy. I should have left some money in reserve so I could have at least bought in at the bottom. I got greedy. Now I wait.  Sad

I don't think that trading it all in is a very wise move. There should be a division to one's trade because it lessens the chance of failure and increases the number of chances in succeeding. It would be really helpful to know the right strategy when it comes to trading. This is why I study here in https://daneel.io/ before deciding on something.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Does the Price of Bitcoin Matter? on: January 16, 2018, 09:56:22 AM
For true devotees of Bitcoin, the price of the digital currency is almost irrelevant. They believe in its inherent value or, more frequently, cannot see any value at all in the alternative of government issued fiat currency. Price is therefore not a concern. At the other end of the spectrum, for those that harbor what appears to be an irrational hatred of Bitcoin and anything to do with it, the exchange rate also matters little. They were screaming that it was all worthless when the price was at over $1000, and somehow convince themselves that an exchange rate of over 200 times what it was before that bubble proves their point. For the vast majority of people somewhere in the middle, however, the price of the currency in Dollar, Euro, Yuan or whatever terms is important.

I think that the price of bitcoin matters, particularly to a bitcoin investor like me. It is really important because by holding bitcoin for as long as we can just so we can get the perfect timing for a good price matters. There shouldn't be other ideas involved regarding this matter since the main thing that we should focus on is holding.
107  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to develop a strong character? on: January 15, 2018, 11:06:21 AM
The matter is that at me very soft character, and in conflict situations I seldom can protect the point of view.
How to develop a strong character?

In developing a strong character, one must know first what his or her character is. Nowadays, people tend to look up to someone with realizing that their respective characters are not the ones that is evident anymore. So, it is imperative that people must stand for who they are and what they want in order to establish a strong character.
108  Economy / Economics / Re: Why did you choose bitcoin? on: January 15, 2018, 10:12:26 AM
Hey all,

I’m conducting a research on cryptocurrencies and I’m especially interested in why people choose Bitcoin. And since you are bitcoin users/experts, I thought you would be the best people to ask. It would be great if you could take the time to answer my questions (anonymously), I promise it will take no more than 10 minutes.

Click on the following link to go to the survey - https://uvacommscience.eu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3lzs2sI13cKH1m5?source=bitcointalk

If you are interested, I could post my main findings here.

Thank you.

I chose bitcoin simply because it is the most marketable and profitable out of all the cryptocurrencies. Many people prefer bitcoin the most as well, that's why it is what I want and use regularly, not to mention the fact that it is getting more and more popular every time, due to social media advertisements.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach BTC value ? on: January 15, 2018, 09:41:06 AM
Just wondering if ETH can

Actually, there is a possibility that ethereum can surpass the value of bitcoin, although it is quite a long shot. Still, bitcoin cannot remain number 1 forever, which means being number 1 is bound to go down. With the help of some analyzation of artificial intelligence there is a way to tell whether it is possible or not. I learned all of these in https://daneel.io/.
110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are best sources to learn trading on: January 15, 2018, 09:22:48 AM
I feel like i miss the boat or missing the even bigger one.  Huh As i want to develop new skills on trading i would like to know more about trader sources. What sites they use or which news sources they follow. And is there any book e-book you can advice? Thank you all answers!

I think there are tons of source and references in learning how to trade these days. The problem is with too much information about it, there are times that the ideas are not correlated to each other anymore. Which is why it is still best to choose only 2 or 3. I recommend that you consider the campaign that I am joined in now and it is https://daneel.io/, because it is really helpful.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: January 15, 2018, 08:08:04 AM
why is it ok for a group of people calling themselves the government to force everyone to buy their services?
if enough armed people refused to pay and told the government to go fuck itself there is nothing they could do.

I guess the people agree in paying taxes because of the fact that they are not actually afraid of where it might go, meaning their government officials are really trustworthy unlike in some corrupt countries. Also, they have carefully analyzed the possibility of the outcome which we can learn using some websites that generates possible outcomes like https://daneel.io/.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: January 15, 2018, 07:53:00 AM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

Judging from what is happening these days, bitcoin is so popular that it has a lot of investors who are willing to wait and earn despite any forks period that it may encounter, not to mention the fact that there are helpful websites now which helps people educate themselves about cryptocurrencies, such as https://daneel.io/.
113  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: January 10, 2018, 02:54:41 PM
Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

For me, going to college is quite an advantage and I don't see anything wrong with it, particularly if it can improve anyone's status in life and achievements. On the other hand, there is this regret that we might be wasting time because it takes a lot of time. Still, it is definitely not a waste of time to be able to use something as an advantage in the future.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel ICOs try to raise too much? on: January 10, 2018, 02:34:56 PM
Hey, I'm interested in everyone's opinions on this. I find so often when looking for ICOs I come across something that sounds like a good idea but then am instantly put off when they all seem to trying to raise 10s of millions for something I would deem could be perfectly possible with only a couple of million or even less.

Do you feel that ICOs tend to try and raise too much? If yes, do you think this is out of greed for their own personal gain or simply because they over estimate the worth of their idea?

Do you feel there is anything we can do as a community to bring expectations back to reality? Other than waiting for ICOs to continually under perform and then eventually expectations adjust?

I don't think so. I think it is just fair for their part to raise the amount that they intend or plan to do. Come to think of it, if it benefits our fellow cryptocurrency holders then I have nothing against it. Especially, to those people who makes a living because of campaigns and ICOs.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time management. on: January 10, 2018, 02:12:54 PM
Most of us have a daily responsibilities.
How do you manage your time in trading and in bounty campaign as well as researching for the news and updates of your favorite altcoin?

I actually have a scheduler that I find useful and effective because it shows me the things that I should be doing at a specific time. It also mentions the back up plans in case of failure to follow the original schedule that I have planned. I learned all of this and how to manage my coins in https://daneel.io/.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think cryptocurrencies have the potential to overtake regular currencies? on: January 10, 2018, 01:31:18 PM
Would banks and governments actively work and implement countermeasures to undermine this process? Are the underestimating the potential of cryptocurrencies by investing in some of them?
Do you think there is a possibility of cryptocurrencies being banned in the future for the reason of being a threat to "normal" currencies?

I just don't think so, I'm quite positive about it. The thing is the regular currency is too old for us and I think that if we keep on using it, then there will be no growth from what's happening now. I really like the fact that the cryptocurrency is changing the world for the better.
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trading or working in signature campaigns? on: January 10, 2018, 12:46:49 PM
What do you think should be done?
These days bitcoins are not given directly in campaign but tokens are given and very less campaign give bitcoins purely.
What would you do?campaign or trading?

I do both actually, although I really enjoy campaigns more than trading for the very reason that I can voice out my opinion more about certain topics and learn at the same time. Moreover, the campaigns that I join into are really helpful like my existing campaign which has many guides for those who are dealing with cryptocurrencies.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: Why have Bitcoin instead of cash? on: January 10, 2018, 12:30:45 PM
For one thing bitcoin is so volatile that it could potentially make anyone richer. The only problem is, people tend to indulge in cryptocurrency activities such as trading or mining without fully understanding the necessary information. I recommend https://daneel.io/ which can assist and help when it comes to involvement to any bitcoin activities.
119  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How to overcome depression? on: January 10, 2018, 12:15:48 PM
Hi, I just wanna ask how to overcome depression? I have a friend and she keeps telling me that she don't to live anymore and that it is better to die, she has lot of problems but she just keep it on her own, she is so depress and i can't find the right words to make her feel better. And also can't a person overcome depression on his/her own?

I have read somewhere here in the forum that trading had caused him or her to be depressed. So, it is a good thing to discuss these matters here since we are dealing with something that can cause us to be depressed. I have a link here that can help, https://daneel.io/ can guide anyone in order to be successful and to avoid depression.
