Can ETH reach BTC value ?

In my mind BTC won't stay the leader for so long...
The tech is useless for the mass adoption market, and there are so many other altcoin that are safer, faster, and better.
The first coin that will reach and overpass the marketcap of BTC will pump very hard :p
I don't see BTC beeing the first crypto, at the end of 2019.

I love both ETH and BTC.

What I am afraid is that it is possible there is another coin which becomes No. 1, and I didn't catch it.

It might happen, Ethereum has possibilities to overcome bitcoin being the 1st in the market. In fact they were both created in different ways and method. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency. Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are competing against existing money (and gold) to replace them with a truly global currency. Ethereum is a token. What Bitcoin does for money, Ethereum does for contracts. Ethereum’s innovation is that is allows you to write Smart Contracts. basically any digital agreement where you can say “if this” happens, “then something else happens. So it make sense ethereum use by other token as their blockchain, so in order to avail those token you must have at least an ethereum holdings to transact smart contracts token. The more there are lot of tokens being release the more the higher chance ethereum will overcome bitcoin. but there are also other coin competing bitcoin not just ethereum. There are ripple, nem, dash, litecoin etc.. that will soon explode. better make some research. good luck mate!

well thats very possible eth can reach BTC in value but it depends in the situation i guest eth can reach btc in hold them longterm and the btc can hold long term and also short term.. so posibly ETH can reach btc on thier value..

the current ETH exceeds the bitcoin price because now the bitcoin price is falling very drastically maybe the current ETH coin is greatly in its favor when the bitcoin price is going down very drastically

I think its hard for ETH to reach BTC value, because now the price differences between ETH and BTC are more than 10 times. But maybe in the future ETH can reach BTC. For me, holding ETH is a good investment because the price keep rising. I just hoping that ETH can reach BTC in the future.

My opinion is that this will not happen especially in the near future. I think BTC will be the main one for seniority and price for a long time. I'm sure that the ETH will catch up with the most popular fork BTC –bitcoin cash, but if the time comes thatETH will catch up with the original bitcoin, then probably there will be new generation crypts and current leaders will give up positions.

It's hard but possible. If we remember the recent past, that we see bitcoin rate grew up from ≈ 2K bucks in the summer to almost 20K at the end of last year.  Crypto coins can show such growth in a relatively short period.  So this is a very realistic scenario

Capitalization of ethereum is only 2 times less than that of bitcoin, this is already a very good indicator. At a price for a coin, bitcoin is 10 times more than ethereum, but in my opinion this gap will rapidly decline in the near future. Ethereum should grow in price faster than bitcoin.
