Who did it originally? Time to learn more stuff, I guess... also "netstakeweight" : 176 looks like stake in the network is dropping as coins stake, mature coins not coming fast enough... EVERYONE PLEASE UPDATE!!! is that the one that was uploaded by dev yesterday ? my wallet just hit 5048 a couple hours ago, and I was able to receive some from bittrex the other day lol it just took forever to get them. tweets about the new wallets... we need to get people on the new wallets if it's going to start moving faster (I'm not a coder so I can't see if there is a diff issue thats holding us back) sorry about my comment yesterday when dev told us to tweet, I was frustrated... and was thinking dev meant random hype tweets, not specific ones to inform people to upgrade to new wallets (which I had already done for previous fix) get the twitter hype campaign going only 940 blocks until proof of stake! PoW ended at 5000 and the wallet fix was to get PoS started at 5000 instead of 6000, so what we are experiencing is a lack of coins on the network that are staking since so many are on pools and exchanges and won't be staking any time soon because of the very very slow blocks and long time before maturity.

Can anyone who is all synced up do a getpeerinfo for me? I am trying to sync so I can withdraw from bittrex and help get the blockchain moving again, but I keep getting stuck at block 5000. Thinking I maybe connecting to a node still running the old version?

What is up with the block explorer? Are we in need of a new one already?
Wallet current block is 5043 How many confirmations are required now for stake generation to start? How many would have been required? I'm not sure how this is calculated.
we may still have to adjust how long coins are staked for, the target block time, or difficulty? Let's let everyone update and see how it goes first, this should at least allow more coins to stake, so hopefully the chain can move a little faster... it will take some time for people to update.
I think this coin may have a chance to revive if we want... I have looked at the code and the changes made to try and fix it. Nothing significant was done, I don't see any real effort to adjust the numbers and make the chain work, all I see is a bunch of version number changes and stuff that wouldn't affect PoW end PoS start.
This is just my two cents, make less confirmations (i.e. 20) for blocks to mature to let the next stake more faster. So that would be a change on line 46? int nCoinbaseMaturity = 50; to int nCoinbaseMaturity = 20; Neither of these changes should mess with the overall parameters of the coin and can be changed back once the block generation becomes stable again.

Yes, unless you're a Developer and can resurrect this puppy.
PoS (Proof of Scam) went quite well.
I'm no seasoned dev, but I have an idea what this coin could use to get it moving along. Drastic reduction in nStakeMinAge so that the block time target can get closer with otherwise still existing parameters. Right now min age is 86400, hardly any staking going on ("netstakeweight" : 268), so coins need to get stake much sooner. Could be much much lower, especially at first with so few blocks and few mature minting coins, if possible have it grow over time? May not have to, but would encourage more savings if the small 4% supply inflation is not enough.

Tech dead? Block explorer is dead at block 5002, a new one needs to be created or this one fixed otherwise allcoin won't update the wallet because they can't see the blockchain is working. The wallet is working, but quite slow, more people need to stake because staking only started the second pow ended... well, 1000 blocks after pow ended, and thus the need to update so it would at least have a fighting chance. I withdrew from bittrex after block 5000 just fine, but my stake on block 5003 has not re-matured neither have the coins that got first confirmation then too, it's gonna take some time to get the chain rolling smoothly.
thanks for the new wallet... I guess the cramps in my fingers from crossing them for a day or so was worth it is their a reason the new wallet seems to be sitting on block 5019 for 19 minutes? Not enough people and services have updated so they aren't staking yet, so PoS is very slow to move the chain forward... update, everyone!!!

Well, with the block explorer stuck at 5000 we can see exactly 186985 coins were PoW mined.
The explorer has gotta get updated, Allcoin.com wants to update wallet but needs to see the BE
I take it you tried repairwallet ?

I've sent yesterday from bittrex to my wallet. Now started new wallet and get this message:
Dev, are my coins now lost?? I've never got them from bittrex because of wallet malfunction.
I had the same situation with coins, however my wallet just worked fine. You may have to open the old version, export the private key and then start fresh with new version and appdata delete, then import private key to fresh wallet.

YAY! Mined block 5003 and got first confirmation on withdraw from bittrex. phew, all is well.

Block explorer needs updating too, it is only showing 5000 blocks right now.

Sweet! I see 5001 blocks, good enough to go to bed on... Happy minting, y'all!

Github has been updated with the fix. Recompile your wallets, Techcoin is online ....Windows QT underway. Sorry for not appearing here in a few days. Techcoin is good to go....If anyone wants to recompile a Mac O S X Wallet QT, please PM me. EDIT: New Updated Windows Techcoin-QT: https://mega.co.nz/#!2MJmiZzC!dlcWmFqiikHsUiAGOb-nVi1CBnggSEt3zUJsSNP4ktgOP will be updated. Do you think it will work as is with the PoS even though last block was a day ago? Might have to re-start PoW for a short run? "Staking.
