101  Economy / Economics / Re: War on cryptocurrency! on: April 06, 2018, 10:03:49 PM
Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?

There's no war between crypto and governments, its just a matter of regulation. Governments simply against crytptos because they cannot get tax from it and so as the people having them.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A friend sent me .03 BTC - what to do now? on: April 06, 2018, 10:00:57 PM
So long story short, a friend owed me for a favor and since I did not have bitcoin before he asked If I would take it in BTC. I didn't mind since I can cash out whenever.
My question is.. what do you think? Its a decent chunk of money for me to just hope something keeps rising, do you think I should "let it ride" or cash out and just be happy with ~$500?

Just hold it and wait for it to rise up. If you hold your bitcoin before and sold it when it reached 120000$, maybe you have been gained profit. But if you sold immediately, you still gained because someone just gave it to you.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Taxation of BTC on: April 06, 2018, 01:22:18 AM
In the USA, bitcoin is regarded as property. Therefore, capital gains are involved for property held less than one year. If you are paid in crypto, it is treated as ordinary income. For 2018, the IRS will be watching out for trades and sales. Last year people who declared gain from coins numbered in the hundreds, not even a thousand. If you trade one coin for another, the coin you trade will be valued  as of the sale or trade date.

That's just legal way of taxing bitcoin. In our country also, bitcoin has tax. In every cash out of bitcoin, there is corresponding tax into it. Well, its also good because you can contribute to our country,
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: will people lose intrest? on: April 06, 2018, 01:16:34 AM
Hello!

If bitcoin died do you think people will lose intrest in other cryptos aswell? which altcoin would you invest in if there were no bitcoin?

Probably, there will be less people who will be interested in bitcoin. However, crypto will not die and will just continue becAuse probably, another coin will take over the place of bitcoin.

106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you choose to hold Bitcoin or Ethereum? on: April 02, 2018, 09:59:11 PM
The recent bitcoin price volatility is particularly large, but the price of eth has been very stable, you choose to buy eth or bitcoin?
 Tongue Tongue Tongue

Practically, I chose to hold ethereum because it has easier ability to rise and the transaction fees us lower than that of bitcoin. Also, holding ethereum is good because most coins could be bought through ethereum at low fee.
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do you love Bitcoin? on: April 02, 2018, 09:55:20 PM
I love bitcoin because its the crypto currency and its the king of the crypto.
It hasa lot of use cases.
I can exchange it to any other crypto.

Why do you love Bitcoin?
Why are you interested?

I do love Bitcoin. I love it because of its benefits that I have been enjoying since I join in its world. I have been having a good spurce of income, learn the basics of trading and of course understand the stock market. I am always interested in bitcoin because there are always something new in it.

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favorite Exchanges? on: April 01, 2018, 11:55:28 PM
What exchanges would you prefer to see your crypto coin listed on?  Smiley

I like bancor market and livecoin.net. The reasons why because these two have a very friendly features, easy to follow and use instructions so as easy to log-in yet with very good security features. I also like the coins listed in here because most of them are guaranteed with value.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin survive? on: April 01, 2018, 11:53:19 PM
After there is a BCC can the bitcoin survive or bitcoin will be much more up the price after this
What do you think about this?

Bitcoin is still surviving and will always survive for another 10 years I think. The value or price may change from time to time but bitcoin will continue to exist. There maybe some changes and evolve of Bitcoin but since its already here in virtual world, bitcoin will exist.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: The market started looking green today. on: March 31, 2018, 10:33:41 PM
It appears the market started recovering today from one of the worse long-lasted corrections in bitcoin history.
The bitcoin now secure the 45% of the cryptocurrency market dominance. what you have to say about that?

The market seems to start recovering but we cannot never say until its last for a month. If the green color state will stay for the next couple of months, then we can securely say that coins are already recovered. I hope that this is the beginning for a good market trading and selling.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All in ETH now? on: March 30, 2018, 04:05:53 PM
ETH prices are down very low. Is this the right time to all in ETH?

Its up to you if you want to buy more ethereum. Ethereum has dropped because of bitcoin chain reaction. I think all coins are in dump right now so better buy and hold. Ethereum is a good choice for investment now.
113  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is so unfair on: March 30, 2018, 04:02:46 PM
Isn't it so unfair for the people who is new here? That will be struggling making such as good quality post so they could be given a merit by someone. I know all of you is having a hard time thinking what are you going to post such as good quality.

It is really hard to have a merit it is because as far as I know:
People are selfish. Even though you post a really good quality post still there is a people who won't give you a merit.
Some are alone. Like me, I don't really have much friend who would give me a free merit. I know that it is easy to have a merit with a friend that have an account of bitcointalk.

My question is. Why still need merit? We are still struggling to rank because of the merit.

In life, there is no such thing as fair. Even here, you have to undergo the battle and be recognized through your post. Yes, merit system make it hard for every membr to rank up and its quite dissapointing especially if you are new here. You will be stucked to jr. Member if you cannot get atleats 10 merits. But merits are good because it maintain quality posts.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin price go down near $5000...? on: March 29, 2018, 09:33:42 PM
We see the continue downfall in Bitcoin price from last 3 months is there any possibility that Bitcoin price touch $5000 if this will happen I will invest for number of Bitcoin.

It is possible that bitcoin can drop to 5000$. Looking at the situation right now and the current issues that bitcoin is facing, the price mau suffer to that price. However, if we stay positive and hope that bitcoin will make it to recovery stage, then it will be good.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin will have a price of $50000 on: March 29, 2018, 09:28:49 PM
Based on the news, bitcoin might hit $50000 by the end of 2018. Is this possible? If so, what are the reasons?

No, this is not possible at the moment. Every coin is dropping now because of the chain reaction from the bitcoin's price decreasing. If this wont recover for the next months, it would be difficult for bitcoin to reach that amoun.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are a legit or Scam? on: March 28, 2018, 09:41:52 PM
Hi Guys,

Im pretty keen to understand more about ICOs and intend to invest in some.
ANY recommended ICOs and any advise how you guys determine whether is it a legit or Scam?

Thanks in advance.

There are legit ICOs and there are also scam ICOs. If you want to invest in ICO, you must do your research and be wise in choosing the right one. First, look at the goal, the soft and hardcap. If these two are too large and impossible to reach, better not choose. Lastly, look at the supply of the coin, if the supply is too many, it will be difficult to have a good price.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Will future paper money disappear? on: March 28, 2018, 09:38:09 PM
With the development of cryptocurrency, more and more places accept bitcoin. In the future, will paper money disappear, and the money that people earn will be given to you in encrypted form, and the purchase will be paid in encrypted form?
Please give your opinion.

Paper money will never dissappear. It will stay alive until there are banks and governments. Yes, cryptocurrency may lead the future currency but will always stay as virtual currency. I believe that there will be two kinds of currency be available, the crypto and the paper money that will compete in the market.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big News from COINBASE on: March 28, 2018, 09:28:07 PM
coinbase support for ERC20 tokens. Zmazing
We’re excited to announce our intention to support the Ethereum ERC20 technical standard for Coinbase in the coming months.

We are not announcing support for any specific assets today.
more details
https://blog.coinbase.com/adding-erc20-support-to-coinbase-fe9cba6782b

Coinbase is a popular exchange in US and must follow also the standard address that supports ERC20. Most people are using ERc20 address and this should be accepted by all exchanges and listings. Well, this is a good news because people using coinbase can now have more accessibility for ERc20.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH next to BTC? on: March 27, 2018, 02:53:22 PM
I just created this thread to gather opinions ..
Ethereum is next to BTC?

Yes, ethereum will always be next to bitcoin. No other coins has bigger value than bitcoin and no other aktcoins is higher than ethereum. Ethereum will always be right after bitcoin because its price is not even half of that pf bitcoin.
120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to know that the price' bitcoin increase or decrease ??? on: March 27, 2018, 02:45:02 PM
Everyone can talk to me about how to know that the price' bitcoin increase or decrease ? ? ? guess or analysis or rely on intuition ? ? ? ?
I don ‘ t understand that why do people know about that ? I think people will probably analyze based on the situation but Are there methods or grounds on which to base ? ? ?  Can Anyone share the document or experience or website to study?Huh

Is it your first time in bitcoin? The best way to know if the price of bitcoin increases or decreases is to visit an exchanger in which bitcoin is listed. If it is in red mark arrow down, means decrease and if it is in green mark arrow up, mean increases.
