Seems you can't move an amount of BYC with decimal in it (I want to move 132.52 but the byc won't allow me anything but the whole number 132) is it normal? Can you enable decimals in the next release please?

What's the maximum power you are allowing?

What do you mean by "large private networks". What characteristics have "large private networks" If I bought a few PCs, I can not get to them?

I think he is talking about the smart asses who have been using and abusing their job status (sys admins) to set up Bytecent mining on their employers servers.

talking about that we're heading back to pre fork difficulty... confirming what I've stated earlier that new client is already hacked...
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bytecent: Peer-to-Peer Rewards Network - Bytecent.com | BytecentBounty.com on: April 26, 2016, 09:15:37 PM
It is an anti-cheat not an anti-mining. 6.996 difficultly is very low, and just 100 miners can easily break 7. And you already know once we break 7, the difficulty goes up until it stabilizes. That is how it works and has always worked. No one is cheating, just people mining.

So we went from 6.9943 to 6.996 within 36h and suddenly difficulty jumps from 6.996 to 7.0481 under 2h and still climbing.
Sorry to be doubtfull but that looks like botnet power coming to the network to me...
I told you near a year ago that your coin was being raped by russian cheaters using some kind of botnets. Your hardfork gave us 24h no more...

from 6.996 to 7.0247 under an hour, seems your anticheat didn't last long...

No problem here, installed 2.1 BYC wallet on all my rigs and everything went flawlessly...

Make a new address, send coins there and try mining with that address.

I tried, but it does not work

Same issue here, 2 days I can't mine...

What are your specs?

Core i5 4430, win 8.1 x64, 8Go ram, no GFX card and latest Byc client.

There's a bug with the client.

After 1 week of mining I'm forced to close the client and reopen it because it's running 1 core of my cpu to full load without reason.
I'm getting around 1130 pps after a fresh start. After 1 week, I'm down to 920 pps.
The other  problem with that bug is that the captcha is getting really ssssssllllllooooowwwwwww to refresh the numbers. up to 5 seconds between every numbers.
I could restart the client every day to bypass the issue but I've got a lots of rigs running the clients and it's a pain in the ass to do the POB stuff on every pc every day...
Can you investigate it?

I was checking BYC explorer and I noticed more than half of the network is still running 1.3.3.3 wallet.
I thought 2.0 was mandatory and it wouldn't be possible to mine with older wallet.
Can you explain this please?

Would be nice to get BYC to Poloniex, a little more volume wouldn't hurt I think...

Cryptsy opened BYC for withdrawal.

If anyone has coins there, they should withdraw them asap!

Mmmh can you develop a little bit for us about :

2. We will be introducing our new mining protocol that will make mining fair while also preventing someone from gaming the system.

Please?

POB will be part of the blockchain. Anyone using the same wallet.dat to mine on multiple machines will have orphans.

Also, each machine will be limited to mining one block every 40 minutes, this will be part of the protocol and will not be able to be bypassed. After a year of mining we know the average machine cannot mine more than 1 BYC every 40 minutes. This will allow miners with slower computers to compete with the faster computers on the network and make distribution more fair. However, the network will still remain stable as it is now.

This is serious technical stuff, I mean adding thing like this on top of the blockchain is ain't easy.
I which you best luck and if it's working with no hicups it could be a break through in the way to have fairness in mining...

I can't get my nis to get synchronised, anyone know how to solve this issue please?

You're gonna need to be a lot more specific.

here's the message I get at the top of the window :

"NIS is synchronizing. At block 221896, est. 126 days behind. (at block 221896)"

and it's been same message for 24h now...

I restarted eveything 3 times and it doesn't change

Anyway to get a direct download of the blockchain?
