101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: thought on Tether? on: January 29, 2018, 08:46:04 PM
Ok... Tether is mostly the next crypto scam to implode unless they get this audit done that'll prove everyone wrong.

What other options do we have?
I mean for those who like to trade a portion of their portfolio with a short-term vision, having a stable pairing crypto is ideal.

I heard many talk about Steem dollars... meh.. not sure about that one.

I also heard that "TrueCoin" is coming.

What else?
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 08:58:45 PM
110% disagree.
The focus MUST be the to be listed on others exchangers, not all other bullshits can be done "overnight".
costs money to be listed? you have enough ( team) to do it instantly. make a vote, and you will see that exchangers will be the 1st choice.

Relevant exchanges cost money, ask people if they want to stop getting  AIRDROPS and instead be listed on exchanges with that money?
what's the hurry with exchanges? If someone is so eager to sell he already can on Cryptopia.

4.000.000 BTX available x 25$.. do the math, would be ok also to not receive ONE airdrop to pay for couple best exchangers.
Everyone will agree to not receive the airdrop 1 week and see BTX listed on Kucoin and Binance for example. Make a vote Wink

You're new here, right?

There is a 10% "Bitcore foundation" which is 1.5M BTX coins. Read page 1, please.

New exchanges will come once the distribution is over. End of the story!
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 02:50:41 PM
The 24h volume is so low, BTX is on the last place from top 100 on cmc with its 225k USD volume.
From the all coins on cmc, we are now on the 457. position regarding 24h volume.

I am not saying it is a deal breaker - it obviously isn't, since the price is holding... But I am starting to be a bit afraid that when I decide to sell, there will be noone to buy...

We really need to hear some good news - I agree with the "no hype" policy, but still if we get info like for example new exchange next week, It would lift up the spirit  Wink

C'mon people!
For each buyer, there is a need to have a seller.

If the volume is low, it's because nobody is selling at the moment.

Just look at the daily volume... $228k out of $266M market cap.
That's 0.08%, which means that proportionally speaking out of a thousand people, 0.8 (not even 1 person) is selling his Bitcore coins at the moment!

Bitcore investors see more value in holding their coins than selling them on exchanges.

Once the distribution period is over, many will sell their coins which will increase volatility and therefore be more appealing to new exchanges.

Exchanges make money with daily volume. Do you really think Bitcore is a good business case for them at the moment? Today Bitcore is not appealing to them, but towards the end of the distribution period it will be because some might want to capitalize on this "dump" we'll see on April 23rd.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 26, 2018, 02:31:02 PM
The volume on this coin has dropped ridiculously low. Bit-Z's volume is almost non-existent. LIke everyone says, we need more exchanges. What's the latest on this? Is anyone actively working on exchanges right now? There's a token that launched late last year called GVT. Within 1 week of launch they were listed on both Kucoin and Binance. Bitcore has been around for nearly 1 year and the best exchange that we are on is Cryptopia Huh WOW! The ball is definitely being dropped on this coin when it comes to exchanges. The team needs to figure out what steps to take to get us on additional exchanges, pronto. If the current person responsible for exchanges can't get it done, then we need someone who can get it done.

They have already said that in 2018 BTX will be present on at least one new exchange, and for low volumes...you see that complete market is currently silent. It looks kind of spooky to go down from 7 million USD to only 0.5 milion USD daily volume but you must admit price is holding pretty good with so much volume drop impact.

"In 2018 BTX  will be present on at least one new exchange"? Are you kidding me? "At least 1 new exchange Huh" We must really have low standards. Coins are launching and getting listed on 10+ exchanges within a matter of weeks and our goal is at least 1 new exchange in 2018? That is absolutely ridiculous. We should be aiming for at least 10 new exchanges in 2018.

No, nobody is kidding you.
Primary goal is to not get listed on numerous number of exchanges, that could be done overnight.
Instants solutions cost money, and even some relevant business are not willing to spend money for something that will eventually come free of charge.

Primary goal of this coin/community is to get established and recognized, for example, integration with hardware wallets, BTX ATMs, acceptance on some web shops and so on.

Only then you can expect to get invited and get listed on exchanges that actually matter.

Well said Boriss!
Definitely, Bitcore is not for everyone... especially people like Crypt0kid who have been trolling on this Bitcore forum for a while now.
If your goal is to make a short-term gain, then Bitcore is not for you and you should sell your coins.
If you're in it for the long run and believe in the project and you want a steady pace growth, then Bitcore might be for you.

New exchanges will come, but now the focus is to complete the distribution period.

Your "new exchanges" impatience... really?
You're holding, right? Or, are you looking for new exchanges to sell, or because you want to see a P&D on Bitcore?
What's your point?
If you're a Bitcore investor today, what's the point of rushing for new exchanges?
We get 5% of free coins each week and it'll be 6% in 10 days. CMC issue has been resolved. Price has been strongly growing since December 13th. The team is working hard at real-life day-to-day usage solutions.

The future is now man! Chill out or if you can't, just sell your coins and stop trolling.

If I lost most of my capital in one coin, I will hold the first to coin it up again, whether it can be called trading or not?
Give your opinion Smiley

No that's called trading.
To be called trading it requires you to have some kind of a plan. Here you just hope you'll recoup your capital.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Bitcore- BTX - SEGWIT - lowest fee - hybrid fork 1:0.5 of Bitcoin on: January 24, 2018, 02:18:19 PM
I don't want to spread FUD at all, but I just thought I'd post this "thread" I saw in one of my trader chatrooms.
Since I saw many P&D groups on telegram lately I think people should be careful.

Here is the thread....

"Ive been noticing the past week that alot of my trades havent been bouncing back to base like they should.
It appears people are losing a lot of money at the moment from groups holding down the charts and priming
them for a pump in dump.
This is the forum to take a look at for info.
Alot of interesting conversation.
Im pretty f*ucked cause all of my capital is in a number of coins being held down my these groups at the moment.

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/4404?page=1

Copied from the thread in Cryptopia ... I hope they sort this soon because I for one would like my money back.

Cryptopia has retained my consulting services to investigate inappropriate trading and manipulation by groups.
These accounts will be identified, suspended, and their funds confiscated and placed into the reward buckets.
I am an expert database developer, busniess owner, entrepreneur with a talent for picking good coins.
I am assembling a team of contractors now to start the analysis of Cryptopia's database and accounts to
identify who is ruining Cryptopia. Management told me commission profit has been down 65% since January 8th, 2018.
They thought it was the BTC dragging down the coins, but I spoke with them and informed them of the manipulation.

So the groups out there BEWARE, stop your illegal, unethical activity or you will lose your money and your account.
We are putting up a checkbox on the registration to enforce this activity. News will also be posted on the service page.
It's almost like taking a great stock on the NASDAQ, shorting it, while speading false rumors about the companies financials.
The groups have the same tactic, they are destroying rebounds, and taking money from everyone in Cryptopia.

Not sure what you were expecting, a party with beer and bongs or something?

at least the imagination of interest into the thing itself and not people checking their mobiles or making strange things with their lips that might express "bullshit what i hear".

honestly, promotion is a different thing, and successful promotion includes happy people. you wanny tell me, the people on that pic look happy?

meh!   ...this was not promotion dude!
The team is just being transparent by sharing some pics of a regular "Meetups" they had. This was not a team meeting.

Bitcore and Bitsend Info

Greetings from Blockchain meetup in Essen (Germany)

We gave every visitor 0.5 BTX and 2.5 BSD

Your Bitsend and Bitcore Team

oh man, the people in the second picture look.... really .... well ..... happy and awake!

yes, cheers! :-)

honestly, that are not the expected pictures to promote a successful meeting, this looks much more worse than a funeral. Roll Eyes

Looks like you never went to Meetups presentation!
It's a pretty standard format and standard audience
109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who bought pumping coins? on: January 23, 2018, 01:39:09 PM
So many new P&D groups start each week, it's insane! These do no good to the crypto space.

Hey folks,

Here's an update of my airdrop end date prediction sheet. This week I predicted 125 000 coins to drop and the result was 125 340, so very close!
Since it was so close the prediction is basically unchanged from last week, with April 23rd still as the date for the last airdrop.

Next Monday my prediction is 134 000 coins to be dropped, let's see how accurate that is.

--ypsi

So, If your sheet stays on track and they run out the 23rd of April week how will the coins be paid out that week? Meaning, will the first registered wallets each each get their last 8% until all BTX is gone or will each registered wallet get some and if so in what distribution? Thank you kindly to any that can answer

That last airdrop will be proportional to the amount left in address #1. In other words, it won't 8%, but a lower percentage.

112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Google spreadsheet for keep track of crypto on: January 19, 2018, 01:10:31 PM
Where can I find a good google spreadsheet where I can keep track of few cryptos?
Online I found few but all of them miss something that I need and have the other things.

I'd like to have a "portfolio" section, if possible with pie chart. Here to see the gain and losses of my investments.
An history sheet where I can add the trades with the price I bought/sold so it can be used to show gain and losses in the main page.
A sheet or column with the actual value of each coin.
Value of each coin shown in BTC, USD, EUR.

I tried:

All of them are great but while trying to modify to my need, they all gave me some sort of error.
Any input is really appreciated. If you could share your (empty) spreadsheet that would be a good way to improve and personalize ours.

PS. I'm already using blockfolio, I need a google spreadsheet.

update: added links to the spreadsheets

Might not be a bad idea to create your own spreadsheet from scratch.
We all have our own preferences which make it almost impossible to have a one size fit all template for everyone!
113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: January 19, 2018, 01:07:45 PM
Everyone needs to start somewhere!
So yes newbies must trade and learn in the action.

I think we could start thinking about closing new registrations for the airdrops at the end of January. There has been enough time, and whoever comes in after that, will be those wanting easy profit with our dear coin.
We have to recognize those who supported the currency from the beginning.
Does anyone agree or think this would be bad?

What???

You completely missed the point of the airdrop buddy!
It's a distribution tool to get the coins in many hands as possible as fast as possible. The distribution wasn't made to make you rich buddy!

We have to recognize those who supported the currency from the beginning.

Disagree!
If you are an early BTX adopter like I am you bought your first Bitcore between $1.50 and $8, that's what will make you rich, not the airdrop!

BTW, even if you bought at $35, you still going to make lots of money.

I bought most of mine between $20 and $24 after getting some from the 1/2 for 1 airdrop. I feel I made a wise decision and the coin will continue to appreciate. And I also agree trying to shut down the airdrop faster so less people can get richer is not the point or the spirit of the airdrop. Greed is not a good character trait. Let as many people participate and benefit as possible from the airdrops and help spread the word that BTX is a great coin to invest in. That will make you much richer than a few extra airdropped coins.

@Jackbox I feel wisdom in you  Wink

Right now the price of BTX is supported by the weekly airdrop. What will future hold after airdrop ended?

Frankly, that's what bothers me too a little. There seems to be a certain amount of buzz around airdrops, and that's good if you ask me, but what's next? I'm perfectly fine with SegWit and all other improvements that the devs have activated but what is really new in Bitcore? What are its killer features already implemented or still in the works if I may ask?

Don't get me wrong I'm all interested in Bitcore's success since otherwise I wouldn't be here, but what's the point actually?

Obviously, you endorse Bitcore since you are part of the signature campaign... but you're telling us that you haven't made your homework before investing?

Many good posts here about why Bitcore is superior... I suggest you start here.

I'm really impressed by the performance of BTX during this storm.
It's just come back to ~20$ where it was a week ago when the entire market goes -30% O_O

Bitcore doesn't move with the market...
This has been shown to be true many times in the past few months!

Is it time for a new meme called Bad Luck BitCore?

Price spikes after CMC adjust the supply

Next day it dips right back to $25

Have you looked at the market today?

Hello everyone,

Fantastic Monday today with the news of CMC correcting the circulating supply.
Anyway, here's my updated airdrop end date prediction sheet. Last week I predicted 119 000 coins dropped for this Monday.
The actual number was slightly lower at 117 443, but close enough.

So below is the updated sheet, still aiming at a 23rd of April end date, even taking the "increased marketing" by CMC into account.

Thanks to everyone active in the Bitcore and bitcorepool.cc Telegram channels, awesome to talk to you guys.

Thank you ypsi for your tracker... very well appreciated  Wink

The number or registered wallets jumped by 1k last week. I bet it'll jump much higher next week now that we're in the top 100!!!
