101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of Altcoins on: January 27, 2019, 11:45:24 PM
The future of altcoins is brighter than ever. Before we only had BTC copy+paste shitcoins of 0 value, but now most alts offer things BTC does not.
So unlike the past when it was all BTC and shitcoins, we have a mature market with real competition.
And 90% of competitors are pure garbage, but the rest will thrive.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Market going RED! on: January 26, 2019, 07:56:12 PM
you might be right. prices fell a little and some of people sold in panic, fell more, sold more... so may be that is how such a huge falling happend
We are entering now in the last period of the year, what we witness at the start of November is that we have a green market, this will
continue until the end of the year and we will have a good momentum, I am very optimistic on that so I am long with bitcoin.
I believe that the market should sink even lower. The price of Bitcoin can fall to $ 2,000. Then the volume of purchases can greatly increase and this will give impetus to growth. Most likely this will happen no earlier than 2019.

I have seen graphs about cryptocurrencies prices and it is really pity thing that most currencies not going up. It was predicted by experts. But I am a long-term holder and I am not worried about such fallbacks.
You don't need to be worried but you sound confident that we haven't found the bottom. Those same experts are also holding the same opinion.
So in my case I'm 40% in tether. Not going to regret it if we start going up again, but I need this type of safety in my portfolio.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Your favorite coin to invest in that's NOT in the Top 100 on: January 26, 2019, 07:54:41 PM
I like Universa. It looks like a better EOS to me.
It doesn't pretend to be more decentralized than it is, even though if certain conditions are met anyone can become a node. In fact it has more potential for a decentralized mainnet, and it has better throughput. Its leader is also more proactive in finding innovative projects for potential partnerships.
A huge sleeper for me.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Grin Observer - GRN/BTC - Price Movement and Discussion on: January 26, 2019, 07:52:32 PM
Nice thread you've got here. You're just missing Nazis.

I gotchu, fam.

Given how Grin can help you escape ludicrous government policies thanks to its strong built-in anonymity, I suspect if it becomes mainstream, this picture will be used by SJW-s unironically to prove that the Grin community is a bunch of nazis.
It's gonna be sad, but if it ever comes to this, Grin would be a huge success. It has the fundamentals for it, let's hope the community is also top-notch.
Also thanks for the TA, OP, I'm currently mining instead of trading, looks like a winning strategy. It's also so profitable that I'm selling everything, so I'm hoping for a dump where I can rebuy  Grin
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ALL Initial Coin Offerings are Trash on: January 25, 2019, 10:20:45 PM
I have already used 3 ICO-funded products, in addition to making decent $ from ICO-s.
Being bad at research is OP-s fault, not the fault of hard-working ICO-ers who accomplish things.
Of course, scammers should be called out, but generalizing is always silly and unproductive, not to mention - wrong.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge tokens during Bounties on: January 25, 2019, 10:19:21 PM
80k tokens might be nothing. Received as well millions, with total price of 100$.
Quantity doesn´t matter in this case, only quality. Of course if quality is good and price will go up quantity will matter
Yep. Not to mention, some exchanges support sub-satoshi prices of coins. It could be worth less than a dollar, even if it's traded.
Although most ICO-s nowadays fail to reach an exchange.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You see it or you don't on: January 25, 2019, 10:18:06 PM
This will never happen. Maybe there will be more technically better coins, but Bitcoin will be the store of value, so it remains the most valuable coin  Cool.
It has stored value so well it went for $20,000 to $3600. It's an absolute failure in being a store of value.
Ethereum is a global computer - and it's successful at that.
Ripple is a cheap Swift alternative - and it is capable of doing so.
BCH is digital cash - and it's damn good at it.
EOS is a competitor of Ether - and albeit not decentralized it shows amazing throughput.

BTC is the only top 5 coin that fails to do what it's advertised to do by its proponents. Although it also has the most optimistic goal so a higher price is probably reasonable.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH pump in all exchanges on: January 24, 2019, 03:36:44 PM
I trading ethereum since 3 years. We can saw since past months ethereum always trying to moving up. So ethereum going to big bull run next year and now good times to buy and hold.
Always TRYING and FAILING to move up is definitely a bearish signal. Every larger dump of ETH was preceded by a double or a triple top.
That being said, I'm optimistic long-term.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should ICOs be regulated on: January 24, 2019, 03:35:25 PM
Of course they should be regulated. By the MARKET.
Don't send money to scammers, it's that simple.
You don't need government to prevent you from donating to scammers, this is just embarrassing.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can you do to keep your digital assets safe? on: January 24, 2019, 03:34:30 PM
Well, basic knowledge of why you should never share your private key or mnemonic should be enough for most.
Either print a paper wallet on a PC with no internet and hide the paper wallet, or if you intend to spend - wait for Galaxy s10 with integrated hardware wallet. If the s10 rumors are false - buy a hardware wallet, I own one Ledger, and I've prepaid a Universa HODL wallet, too.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Ethereum based token(ERC-20) are different then others? on: January 24, 2019, 03:31:27 PM
I saw many upcoming projects are offering same kind of ERC 20 token which can get through any Ethereum wallet. It doesn't need any specific wallet. On the other hand hand some crypto companies have unique code and they have specific wallets for their tokens. I am a little confused which kind of token is better. ERC 20 or either the unique one ?
With ERC20 your token is secured by the Ethereum network.
Custom made blockchains outside the top 20 in market cap are easy 51% attack targets.
If your coin does not need its own blockchain I think ERC20 is better.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High or Low Supply: Which do you prefer? on: January 24, 2019, 03:30:28 PM
Low supply coins were absolutely amazing in 2017, because everyone bought everything and low-caps were generally easier to pump.
They were not the best coins around, but they brought the best profit.
Outside of bull markets - I'm not really sure about that.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How we know scam altcoin project on: January 20, 2019, 08:42:58 PM
Money ,,, everyone need money.. Some people choose the right way some not..
I new in this crypto world.. N newbie in this forum.. You guys that have a lot experience must be know the sign of scam project..
Can you tell me ?
You don't strike me as the type of guy who'd recognize a profitable non-scam from a non-profitable non-scam. I'd first focus on that.
Otherwise as long as the team behind the project is public, uses real linkedin profiles and attends conferences so you're 100% sure they can be held liable if they scam - you're in safe hands. But without the knowledge to actually know how to pick investment opportunities you'll lose money.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2019 will be better then 2017 :) ? on: January 20, 2019, 08:39:53 PM
2017 was driven by a combination of greed and stupidity, and I agree that these two traits will continue to be common with people.
But 2017 was the first huge crypto bubble, and people were able to draw their conclusions. I don't think we'll see the same fools making the same mistakes. Bubbles like that will not happen until cryptos are actually adopted globally.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best crypto to buy now? on: January 20, 2019, 08:38:06 PM
Chainlink didn't lose value in this bear market, it's probably the most successful coin since 2017. And the mainnet is still not launched. Make your own conclusions.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will the Ethereum Fork bring about price increase? on: January 19, 2019, 11:58:01 PM
I believe every forking really disturb actual price and mostly lead them into downtrending.
So about ETH, if we see the current situation, It's difficult to see uptrend after forking.
All we can do is wait patiently , just hold it !
Agreed. I don't see Ether pumping now, unless BTC leads the way with green candles.
But once again it's ETH being reliant on BTC, detatching is not going according to plan  Grin
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coin now you think had a good future on: January 19, 2019, 11:56:55 PM
Very few coins have a bright future ahead of them, and all of them are already priced quite high - you can see them in the coinmarketcap top 40.
I guess there's the occasional hidden gem that can bring larger profits than blue chip cryptos. My money is with UTN-P, although no guarantees there, just hope.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: January 19, 2019, 11:55:43 PM
Get rich - highly unlikely.
Make money off crypto instead of holding a day job - sure, why not, but you need talent and nerves of steel. Daytrading works well for now because bots have not taken over.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price of TERA Smart money (Nano+Ethereum killer) on: January 18, 2019, 08:41:49 PM
what do you think about coin UNIVERSA after mainet launching and use it later? I see the UTN platform is very unique and may be good for the long term, and it might be able to match ETH
Nodes require certification so it's quite centralized.
Technically, this is OK for safe smart contract execution, but not for a government-free currency.
Still, UTN is completely undervalued for what it offers, it's a better EOS.

As for TERA, looks like a copy+paste crapcoin with absolutely nothing special to offer. Feel free to point out how TERA actually accomplishes what OP said.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give me a coin that will easily go 3x on: January 18, 2019, 08:40:15 PM
Easy 3x-es nowadays only happen with low-cap low-volume coins where convincing one semi-whale to buy makes the price go x3.
Unfortunately no coin right now can achieve this on fundamentals alone, except maybe ETH.
