weird.... in gigabyte web said that the M.2 can be used to mine with GPU. Now that I get into the web it doesn't say

Having problems with Equihash autoswitch

MPH multi-algo switching
https://miningpoolhub.com/?page=gettingstarted
asia.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:12023
us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:12023

most of the cases doesn't mine the most profitable coin, and doesn't switch properly.

MPH Custom autoswitch (3 equihash coin)

asia.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17023 (ZEC)
asia.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17023 (BTG)

same case. And yes, I have the profit switch threshold on

Bminer Multi-algo switch mining on Miningpoolhub
https://www.bminer.me/examples/
stratum://foo.w:pwd@us-east.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17023

sometimes gives like $3 above from what it says in awesome miner, sometimes gives like $2 less.
From the other hand, sometimes mine not the most profitable. so what's the point of this pool???

104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 4th 1080ti has low hashrate. how's that??? on: February 15, 2018, 02:32:46 PM
I think I read somebody's post  with the same problem but I can't find it...

I have 4 Strix 1080ti using GPU Tweak II (no afterburner because had problem with the fan speed)
GPU Clock +80
Memory Clock +440
Temperature 71 / 69 / 64 / 45

as you can see... the last one has low temperature and low hashrate running at 270 sol/s while the others has 720~745 sol/s
I'm using mining pool hub with awesome miner.
and yes, I have enough power. Using a 1350w Platimax connecting 1 GPU per slot.

at the end I got it to work, I got scammed with the pack of 4 risers, received them dead :/
the mayor problem of the H110-D3A that I had, is the Mining mode that didn't want to load windows, don't remember how I solved it.

108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: external GPU to Laptop mining on: February 14, 2018, 01:35:12 PM
Realistically you will need a Thunderbolt port and a compatible eGPU enclosure that would work with your laptops thunderbolt revision (1, 2 ,3 ).

Anything else like using the wi-fi mini PCI-e slot is generally not going to work out. Lots of laptop BIOS have a whitelist and I doubt you be able to get 1 GPU to work let alone 3+.

Essentially you are MUCH better off buying a 3 PCI express slot embedded mobo like this one if you want a cheap miner: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157616&ignorebbr=1

Well.... not necessary need thunderbolt to have an external GPU, those are for new laptops with new technology...

with Mini PCI-E you can install lot of devices with an adapter. Specially a GPU using EXP GDC

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJabK8TfyOA

if it works for gaming, then works for mining. Keep in mind that it's 1 GPU only, I'm looking to attach a riser with 3 or 4 PCI-E 1x then hook up the 16x riser.

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Help with GA-H110-D3A not detecting GPU Through risers on: February 14, 2018, 09:32:38 AM
Hi Guys.... those who are using GA-H110-D3A please help me!!!
Windows can't detect the GPU through riser. I installed on the PCI-E 16x and it runs normal. But with many risers in many slots (16x & 1x) nothings happens. The monitor is connected to the onboard video.

below are my specs....

Windows 10 Pro 64bits
GA-H110-D3A
G3930
2x 4g Crucial DDR4 2400
SSD 120g Kingston
4x Strix 1080ti
Platimax 1350w Platinum
4x risers full capacitor with 6 pin conector

I did the configuration of Gigabyte website... also did some changes from other users who had problems too...

BIOS F23a (F20~F23 the mining mode doesn't work in some occasion, when enabled and not working, will not log to windows) it's a bug.
Peripherals - Mining Mode: Enabled (don't remember how I solved it)
BIOS - CSM Support: Enabled (Can't disable because will not log to windows)
M.I.T. - Max Link Speed: Auto (tried with Gen1 & Gen2)
Peripherals - Initial display output: IGFX
Peripherals - Above 4g Decoding: Enabled
Chipset - Internal Graphic: Enabled
2 Molex are connected to the board

Any suggestions and help are welcome....

I posted something similar in these days and I got deleted...
need an engineers help to see if this project can work, might help a lot of people out there

Alienware M11x R2
Mini PCI-E to PCI-E x1 cable
PCI-E 1X to 4 PCI-E 16X (the expansion card of 1 PCI-E 1X with 4 USB to 4 raisers)
PSU 1350w Platinum
4 1080ti (before installing the 1080ti, i will test with a 4850)

after watching the failure of this guy, I decided to change the cable and adapter to this one...

not really sure if will hold up 3 GPU, we are talking about 900w with an adapter and PSU. I'm affraid to burn something
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Best place to buy Etheruem on: December 22, 2017, 10:36:37 AM
When Ethereum was $400 I was saying it's gonna be more than $1000 in 2018, yesterday reached $800.

The price from Changelly is way too high. Selling 1 ETH for $1160 when now it's around $650. Any other places that I can buy for a better price???
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Ledger Nano S & Sell Bitcoin Pages on: December 21, 2017, 01:56:45 AM
Yes.
You'll have to make a transaction from your hardware wallet (Ledger) to one of those sites.

So I will have Bitcoins in Slushpool, then transfer to my Ledger and then transfer to another page to sell it. Have you used any of those pages mentioned???
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Ledger Nano S & Sell Bitcoin Pages on: December 20, 2017, 06:09:10 AM
Hi Guys, I'm getting prepared for the next batch of S9 and I'm studying some technical parts....

I'm planning to have my Bitcoins protected in My Ledger Nano, but in the future I want to sell it in some of these pages...

https://paxful.com/
https://bitjuk.com/
https://247exchange.com/
https://localbitcoins.com/
https://www.bitoex.com/

In these pages I have to create an account, which I will have a wallet with them. So.... it means that I have to transfer Bitcoins from Ledger to 1 of those pages right???

Any suggestions from some experienced with Ledger and selling???
114  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Ledger Nano S or Trezor??? on: December 15, 2017, 08:49:53 AM
I'm considering to buy the Ledger wallet but I saw Trezor, both seems to be really good.
