....
No it's a dump of the invite channel that Bar set up.

I think it was Lobbes?

Anyway, I am in there a lot and to be honest nothing exciting happens, we just wanted to be away from some users that keep spamming foul language all over the place.

If there is a channel where they decide to delete our posts, it's not that one.

This is true. The only discussion I saw there regarding censorship was directed towards the notorious 'Crumbs and his Cohorts.' There is no evidence in those dumps regarding censoring customers or anyone else.

However, you could extrapolate who has access to the ActM Thread account based on that and assume it is the same folks censoring today.

In the end, it doesn't really matter who is censoring, but knowledge never hurts right?

I wonder how many people have access to that account? I always thought Minerpart had access to the account but he has had a recent conflict with whoever they are.

I guess Zumzero, Stuartuk are the prime candidates as the creator of 'Actm Thread'

For what it is worth (not much), here's about a weeks worth of logs that were 'leaked' from #ActM. You can get a feel for who is behind the censorship, if you are curious.

103  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 30, 2014, 04:24:13 PM
You would think that investors would like to know what is going on with ActM's customers.

Except every investor in ActiveMining does want to know about the drama with the customers and Magzy.

Only ActM thread guy censors.

Remember that it is a select group of shareholders that have access to the ActM_Thread account, with Ken also having access.

Just to update -

emkay47 is claiming to have recieved his remaining Prospector Boards. No word on the functionality of said boards yet.

I have finally received my 4 remaining Prospector Boards .
Here are the pics - http://postimg.org/image/w6tex1tx9/

I guess , VMC just lacks logistics , but they are not a scam or a lie .
Ken , stood to his words , and i have got my package .

Thanks , ken .

This got deleted by the  "complete fascist and a fucking cock" - because it originated from me.
...

Thanks for posting this, magzy. It is the closest thing to 'evidence' I've seen regarding the MSD investigation.

I think it is B.S that you're getting censored from the shareholder's thread. You would think that investors would like to know what is going on with ActM's customers.. but the gate-keepers like to everyone to wear their green-tinted glasses.

Hey you got any tips? I have 40-50 btc coming my way and I want to get a good return on it. Any ideas?

If you have paid Virtual Mining Corporation for equipment, yet failed to receive your order, or purchased shares in Active Mining Corporation, please contact our office using the form below.

But this is probably your last chance of getting something out of it.

Ken had a chance to redeem himself (kinda): Get shares trading, release financials and revamped strategy, re-sell/mine with hashfast boards/chips until a 28nm was finally developed. Instead, this happens to customers:

...
Update [April 29 2014]
Of the 30 31 known Prospector boards ordered from VMC:

15 Delivered are dead on arrival - still waiting for replacement - (computerjesus/ Kodemadge)
4 didn't get delivered - waiting for 25 days (emjay47)
4 delivered and working. (2 to bargraphics & 2 to 'unknown user')
1 Delivered (of 5) waiting for confirmation of working unit (emjay47)
6 ordered by rogerli9 (ordered 2014-04-11 - 2 weeks ago) not posted - converting to gold rush cards - details(delivery, timings etc) TBA
1 orderd by VinceSaimos - 2 weeks ago today - yet to be posted

... and shareholders are told that they can't trade while, and very conveniently, would-be investors can buy in and trade at-will.
108  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 28, 2014, 06:57:55 PM
Without even waxing philosophical about shareholders owning shares or having say, I was just pointing out that it is hard to allocate funds when:

A) We have no cost data
B) No idea what profits can be allocated (or even if ActM is profitable!)

At least the discussion regarding the website is dealing with something tangible that we can see. My point is, Ken needs to get financials out.

Now THAT is asking the CEO for something specific about the company strategy.

...
We could sit here bitching all day about the company as some seem to love to do or we can ask the CEO specific questions about company strategy. I know which has the higher chance of actually achieving anything.

109  Economy / Securities / Re: Why do investors demand personal info when offering securities is against US LAW on: April 28, 2014, 06:39:31 PM
This has been bugging me to no end.

Investors require personal information of the business during IPO.. If the business is in the US, then it is already breaking the SEC laws. Do investors know this?

Yes. Which is why investing in bitcoin stocks is so shitty.

You only have two options:

A. Invest in anonymous company which will run away with the coins.

Or

B. Invest in company with names and wait for the SEC to shut them down.

And then after you choose one of these options, you are betting that the stock gives a greater return than if you just held BTC, which historically has not been the case for many.

This really only leaves opportunity for day-traders, or for potential s-c-c-c-cammers.

Ok. I still don't understand how you anyone could believe the eASIC deal, 55nm tapeout, MSD investigation with just an NDA signed no evidence, but at least you know who you are dealing with now.

I really want to convert the ActM saga into a non-fiction book. It has been quite the social experiment, for what it is worth.

I, too, was giving Ken the benefit of the doubt during the eASIC days. He's just been way too shady for me to take anything at face-value anymore. I wish other shareholders felt the same.
111  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 28, 2014, 05:55:38 PM
It feels pointless to debate percentages of reinvestment when Ken hasn't released any profit projections.
112  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 28, 2014, 03:01:47 PM
This is a really good point.  What is so difficult about bringing the website up to date?  Should this not be a priority?    Put me in charge for 24 hours please and I'll have a meeting to start the day, "Right, who's in charge of the website then?  You? Right.  I want it brought up to date and you've got until 3pm.  Right, who's in charge of shipping...?  Now get the MSD on the phone..."

++++

If only Ken had something, like an advisory board, to look over things like the website and make recommendations...

I know this post will be controversial but I'm going to play Devil's advocate.  We don't need a financial report and shouldn't see one for the next three months.   Here's why;
...

Zum... is that you?  Cheesy

I jest...

I would agree with DTS that a dividend disbursement system should be set up. This would definitely provide some 'good faith' towards investors, but I would bet the response would be: 'In legal hot-water right now, wait a few more weeks'
114  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 24, 2014, 05:15:47 PM
Weekly Update 4/23/2014.

Datacenter:

We are up to 64.34 Th/s and expect by the end of the month to be around ~170 TH/s.  Everything is in place to expand our hash rate to this level.

VMC:

We have announced our Gold Rush boards and have had a very positive response.  We are now training and switching our help to do more shipping than build of the mine.
We have 100 Gold Rush boards in stock for immediate shipping.  We have worked out the logistics for this.

MSD:

Nothing new at this time.

Shares:

Nothing new at this time.

And the financial report?

I'll ask in haiku
Where's the financial report?
This is overdue
115  Economy / Securities / Re: Looking for investment of ~$1.25M USD for music festival, return = ~$85M USD on: April 24, 2014, 01:27:52 AM
I thought people would be more open minded here given the mindset behind being an early adopter, apparently it's just as full of trolls as the rest of the Internet.

There are about 3 or 4 regular Trolls on here and they are very active.

The main Troll sponsor and poster is Mirceau Popescu - he runs a bitcoin exchange called MPEx. Anything and everything that could draw coin away from his site is Trolled. It doesn't matter how valid the proposition or company, he and his goons will Troll it.
Without them here you could have a sensible debate and present your case but it turns to delinquency when they are around and before you know it your thread is a joke.

If you are passionate about this you could try again with a self-moderated thread and monitor and delete Troll posts. It will work eventually.

...

great idea, thanks!
i'll get on that soon
i have had a bit of constructive input from a few sr members via private message, ill implement all of it in my second approach and self mod to delete these mindless ignorant posts

thanks!

There are Professional Trolls in these parts, sure, but part of vetting a business is trying to poke as many holes in the plan as possible. This will still happen in a moderated setting, albeit with less chaos.
116  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 23, 2014, 04:02:35 PM
Ken does not moderate this thread.
This thread was created and is moderated by a small group of shareholders (of which I am not one) who wanted to limit nastiness and trolling.

Complaining about the same things over and over again is pointless. We all want a financial statement. We all want to trade. We all want to become wealthier than our wildest dreams.

[snip]

Complaining about the same things over and over is justified. Investors gave Ken money, and they deserve to know what is going on with the company. Sometimes Ken actually answers.

Also, not so that Ken doesn't moderate the thread. He probably chooses not to, but he is certainly able:

If anyone is wondering why their posts have been deleted and you are not a troll it's because you either quoted a troll, engaged with a troll or your post has no context due to the removed posts.  Please keep this thread clean guys and simply ignore the trolls as their posts will be removed the moment they are spotted.  Ken has access to the ActM Thread account and may delete posts if he wants although it's unlikely because he has more important things to do with his time.

(1) can you set up some way for us to verify our shares.

If this is a simple spread sheet that list BTC addresses and their shares or it list their bitfunder Username and their shares (as you should have the BTC address for those who didn't tender their shares and the Username for the people who did).

(2) Can you address either the 28nm project or your idea for where you reasonably would like ACTM to be come Q3/Q4 of 2014.

(3) Can you give us an update of when you expect to have some form of financial spreadsheets for public view. (The April 1st Deadline has passed, so an updated deadline would be nice.) You have contradicted1 yourself on this subject and some clarification would be lovely.

Thanks.

1. At one point it was stated that the Financial auditor was already acquired, in a later announcement it was stated that you guys are beginning or now in the process of acquiring a financial auditor (I believe the later, if not both of these announcements were after the self imposed April 1st Deadline set by yourself).

+1

I would add "When do you anticipate the remaining 150 TH/s to be online?"
118  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 21, 2014, 03:06:51 PM
Kind of but not really.  It is a Tesla patent and the blue prints are now a available.  We tend to think as electricty creation from exothermic, and endothermic reactions....this creates electricity via induction.    You have to change what they tought you in public school about electricity(similar to bitcoin vs. Fiat)....if anything at all.  It does work.

Could you point me to evidence of people using this design to generate electricity?

Lol,  I love this quote from the FAQ:

Quote
If ‘free’ energy devices work, why aren’t the electric companies using them?
This should be obvious but in case you need a reference, please see:

http://hopegirl2012.wordpress.com/

But back on topic:

Ken, what is the status of the financial reports?
119  Economy / Securities / Re: [Active Mining] The UNofficial Active Mining Discussion Thread [UNmoderated] on: April 18, 2014, 04:03:29 PM
Ken is claiming that the reason it is okay for the other exchanges to trade is because 'they were listed before the investigation'

I don't know enough about law to be sure, but I smell bullshit. Shares on bitfunder and btct were listed before the investigation, were they not?

Also, if he doesn't want to 'pour gas' on the situation, why not HALT the trading going on in other exchanges? Wouldn't that be the SAFEST move??

...
Explain how you were allowed to list shares on cryptotrade?

The shares was listed on crypto-trade before the MSD Investigation.

---------------------------------------------
And now for some tabloid-style theories
---------------------------------------------

Conspiracy theory #345: VE is actually a sock of Ken, reporting himself to the MSD in order to prevent whales from tanking the price. This also gives him a scapegoat (think: "We can't release the names of our ___ because that time VE harassed eAsic")

or...

Conspiracy theory #9969: Mircea Popescu HIRED Ken to run this front of a business. 'Why,' you ask? To distract from his own slowly dying exchange and SEC investigation! To point out the 'failings and scams' in every place that is not MPex, by staging one himself. All while making some money in the process. It would explain the undying dedication to defaming ActM.

or...

Conspiracy theory #88993: Ken's just a bad communicator, and is becoming another start-up statistic. Most likely scenario, but pretty boring.

-------------------------------------------

EDIT: My point above is that no one has ANY idea what is going on. Investors shouldn't be so complacent just because Ken is actually answering questions. I've seen a lot of "Oh well... we just have to wait for CC, I guess. Okay!"

I'm not even heavily invested and I can't take that as an answer without more explanation. I don't understand how some of the larger shareholders aren't causing more of a ruckus.
120  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 17, 2014, 05:25:23 AM
I want my shares trading as much as the next guy, but a lot of you do not understand the legal ramifications of this shit. If the MSD is still actively investigating ActiveMining, Ken is protecting himself, the company, and us from a lot of trouble by leaving it as-is and letting the lawyers figure it out. This is a brand new industry in a legal gray area, you can't treat it like a blue chip investment, and that's precisely the argument his lawyers are likely making right now.

You all need to wake up to reality and be patient. It's very clearly not a scam. Inconvenient and beyond schedule to the point of almost incompetence, sure, but just chill the fuck out. It will happen when it happens.

This argument would have more weight if shares weren't already trading right now. The problem is that some shareholders can trade while others are prevented.
