Sixers won 6 in a row and after Embiid named players of the week, he dropped 70 on Spurs tonight. That's a franchise record. He scored 30+ in 20 games in a row.
Wemby dropped 33 in his limited time after his injury, doctors don't let him play more yet.
In Timberwolves game Towns dropped 60 and there is still one more quarter left. What a crazy night. Meanwhile I'm watching Celtics game, they widened the gap in the third quarter.
102  Economy / Economics / Re: The savings problem on: January 21, 2024, 11:47:43 PM
This varies from country to country. I don't think there is a saving problem on a global scale. Some countries are even experimenting with systems like universal basic income, which gives money to citizens without them working.
I think the main problem is that some jobs pay very little. The injustice in income distribution is increasing day by day. The rich are getting richer while the poor can't rise to the middle class. Also, young people can't save or invest because they see the luxurious lives that come with social media all the time. They try to pretend like being rich and spend money relentlessly. They can't save money without changing their lifestyle.
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 21, 2024, 11:14:05 PM
I feel like Girona has a serious chance to finish the league at the top, despite their manager being pessimistic about their title chances. They play great, even if they fall behind they don't change their usual game plan and trust the process.
Dovbyk is a beast. He's the best Ukrainian player I've seen since Shevchenko. That 6 minute hat-trick was something else. This season is very special for Girona. I enjoy watching them more than Barcelona. Normally teams that start like this get stuck somewhere, but that doesn't seem to be the case with Girona. They should go for the title.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying house rent with bitcoin is it appropriate? on: January 21, 2024, 09:57:00 PM
Paying rent in Bitcoin is advantageous for the landlord. If I were a landlord and I had such an opportunity, I would accept payment in Bitcoin. Even if this is not the case, the fiat money received can be instantly converted into Bitcoin and the investment can be sustained. I haven't heard of anyone paying rent in Bitcoin, but if he receives his salary in Bitcoin and pays according to the exchange rate of that day, I don't see anything wrong with that. Coins should be evaluated according to the exchange rate at the time they are spent, not according to its value years later.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 21, 2024, 08:10:54 PM
Real Madrid is a crazy team, they continue to surprise us by making such a comeback every time, they make that comeback even when they are told they can't convert this time. In the match where Almeria was ahead 2-0, they could not maintain this lead until the end of the match, but just when everyone was questioning Real Madrid and wondering whether it was on the decline, they won with a magnificent comeback.

What a game. It could go both ways but Real Madrid managed to win this one. There were a lot of controversial positions and VAR did extra work today but in the end Real Madrid well deserved the win. Almeria closed down too much naturally. At one point it was obvious they'd find the winning goal, it came so late that made the ending more dramatical.
Today La Liga was full of actions. Barca also won 4-2, another dramatical finish there. Ferran Torres and Lamine Yamal were heroes. Real had luxury to lose points but Barca lost their all chances, they have to win no matter what.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 21, 2024, 07:52:22 AM
Sometimes Anthony Edwards plays very well and sometimes he makes simple mistakes like this. OKC deserved this game in the end. Should we not talk about SGA? He doesn't seem to get the attention he needs. He took the Oklahoma City Thunder to the top of the West. When you look at the roster, you can't imagine the Thunder here. They really have a different chemistry. There's no one player that comes to mind as a superstar, but when they come together they play really well. It's the first time they are this good since the days of Durant, Westbrook, Harden.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 20, 2024, 11:58:56 PM
With today victory , Valencia is just 3 points behind 6th place that will lead them into Conference League and by the looks on this team , I think they will achieve at least top 6 this season. Nevertheless , today they won against Bilbao who is a very solid team on away games but also placed on 3rd place.

Slight info about Valencia : the scorer is once again under 25 years old and proves that this young team of Valencia is capable of absolutely scoring against anyone.

I'm very happy for Valencia. I remember their last championship, those were the days. Now they are very far away from those glorious days but I'd like to see them in Top 6 constantly. They deserve it with their history.
When I think about La Liga, I have memories of Valencia and Deportivo La Coruña. They've always been successful. Now there is only the hegemony of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 20, 2024, 03:38:21 AM
Once again Boston showed that they can't play at the end of games, this time at home. The 27-game winning streak at home is over. Tatum had the shot to send the game to overtime, but he was in a hurry and took an early off-balance attempt without the right positioning. Denver played like champions, showing that the playoffs and the finals will be very difficult. The duo of Murray and Jokic played very well. Boston missed too many three-pointers except for the first quarter, if they shot with a little higher percentage they could've won the game. It's not that important to lose a regular season game but they have to be careful, this is a preview of a possible finals match-up.

Tek erkeklerde bu kortun favorisi tartışmasız GOAT Djokovic'tir. Burada 10 kez kazanan Djokovic artık Federer ve Nadal yokken 11. şampiyonluğunu daha rahat bir şekilde alır.
Geçen sene finalde Djokovic'in karşısında Tsitsipas vardı.

110  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 17, 2024, 11:57:34 PM
It's good to look for additional jobs to earn more Bitcoin, but the amounts you wrote are impossible to earn as a side hustle. It's very difficult to earn even monthly what you show as daily earnings.
It's normal for people to look for new ways of earning in this economic environment, but dreaming with such unrealistic earnings doesn't help anyone. Instead, it's best to specialize in a new job and work in that field.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 17, 2024, 11:32:22 PM
All the time! Whenever I had to sell my Bitcoin I regret later. But you can't hold everything forever, everybody have mandatory expenses. What I regret the most are the impulsive purchases I made and the coins I lost while betting. If I could've protected them, I would be in a much different financial position. Still, it's never too late. I spend less Bitcoin now. Smiley
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 17, 2024, 04:53:18 AM
-snip-

I don't even think you watch the game and write just by looking at the scoreboard. You either lack reading or just straight trolling. I feel like the latter here so I put you on ignore.
I always thought basketball is for everybody but it seems like there are exceptions.

...It was a tie game until last minutes...
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 17, 2024, 04:22:32 AM
The score looks close but the game wasn't???
I watched the complete game. Denver was leading at least 60% or the game and went to the last quarter with a 5 point lead.
So where was that not a close game? Philly had their biggest lead in the 4th, before that it went back and forth with countless lead changes.

The deciding stretch was a 18:2 run in a couple of minutes of the last quarter, that's why Philly won.

Nuggets choked on last quarter, so the game wasn't close. If you don't know how to close a game it's not important how you play first three quarters.
Sixers was double digit ahead in last 2 minutes. The game finished with 5 points difference. People who look at the final score could think the game was close, but it wasn't.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 17, 2024, 03:43:38 AM
That was like a preview of a potential NBA final. Philly looked stronger. It was a tie game until last minutes but Embiid pulled it off in last minutes. Both defenses were awful, score was 78-78 at half. Nuggets couldn't shoot anything in last 5 minutes. The score looks close but the game wasn't. Philly was way better and Embiid played like an MVP.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 14, 2024, 11:46:03 PM
Nuggets beat Pacers without Haliburton easily. Jokić didn't even sweat and did almost triple double with 25-12-9. Aaron Gordon played as Center, you can tell how bad Pacers' big guys.
It looks like Heat will pass Hornets. Jaime Jaquez Jr. started great. When Adebayo joins him, things get easier. I'll stop watching the game and instead watch a movie, there'll be no surprises here.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 14, 2024, 11:23:03 PM
Strong game by Valencia and after a long time they won three games in a row. I hope they will join at least Conference League next season. I miss watching them in European competitions. Javi Guerra came from the second team and adapted to the team well. Hugo Duro scored his eighth goal. These guys are young talents, Valencia can build a good team around them. The future looks bright.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Will they ever be able to afford a house? on: January 14, 2024, 02:07:05 AM
In 2024 it's very difficult to own a house, I accept that. But people in this forum between 18-40 years old can own a house. Anyone who embraces Bitcoin, invests in it regularly and manages to protect those regular investments will earn enough money to own a house before they retire, I'm sure of it. Someone who works in a normal job and doesn't invest at all cannot naturally own a house. Those times are in the past. 50 years ago, houses were really affordable with a standard salary and a loan, but the world is not like that anymore.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: January 14, 2024, 12:40:10 AM
After every single goal, Pep was as happy as if he was the champion. As if he hadn't been champion 5 out of the last 6 seasons. Smiley
When Manchester City are this ambitious, it's hard for other teams. De Bruyne came back and 20 minutes was enough for City to get 3 points. When De Bruyne and Haaland play together, City will be able to win every game again.
Arsenal gifted the leadership with their results in the last 5 weeks. It only takes Liverpool one game to fall behind. The inevitable is coming.
119  Other / Meta / Re: was gambling board restricted from merits? on: January 13, 2024, 11:50:38 PM
I try to send merits to posts there but it's very difficult to find quality posts. I find it hard to even read some of the messages. It's the most active section of the forum, but it's so scarce in terms of merit. Because of spammers, good messages are lost in the shuffle. I think it's important to have an active gambling section for the sake of forum and I would suppport any idea to increase the quality and the merit circulation there.
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval; Price dumps, what Next? on: January 13, 2024, 09:03:23 PM
It's a success in the long run. Bitcoin is now recognized by everyone and used everywhere. It's come a long way in 15 years.
If you ask what we are waiting for after the ETF, we are very close to the halving. It's enough to examine past halving times to predict what will happen next.
