101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: June 11, 2018, 02:29:44 PM
We are all hoping the bitcoin will surmount the present pressure on it and enjoyed more adoption by the world economics. If this happened then then the banks have no other choice than to adopt blockchain because they will need to continue in business. That will be when bitcoin can be accepted in  the banks.

I think it's going to happen, sooner or later. Banks have everything that is needed to do that. Once first bank start offering bitcoin wallet etc, that will be a huge milestone
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Central Banks? on: June 11, 2018, 11:23:40 AM
Shifting from Central Planning to a Decentralised Economy: Do we Need Central Banks?
by Professor Richard A. Werner, D.Phil. (Oxon)

I. The Central Bank Narrative

For more than the past four decades, public policy discourse, especially when touching on macroeconomic and monetary policy, has been dominated by the views held and actively sponsored by the central banks, particularly in Europe and North-America, as well as Japan.

Their policy narrative has been consistent over time and virtually identical between central banks, which is why I shall refer to it collectively as the ‘central bank narrative’. It has been mirrored in the type of economics that central bankers have supported and that has indeed subsequently become dominant in academia and among the economists selected as the experts of choice in the major newspapers and television channels: the theoreticians advancing neo-classical economics.

This central bank narrative (and hence also the dominant neo-classical economics, also known as ‘mainstream economics’) has at least five major pillars, which I shall list briefly:

The truth of the matter is: We don’t need central banks. Since 97% of the money supply is created by banks, the importance of central banks is far smaller than generally envisaged. Moreover, the kind of money that commercial banks create is not privileged at law. Legally, our money supply is simply private company credit, which can be created by any company, with or without banking license.

Eurozone countries, having given up the right to their own currencies, can still create money and reflate the economy: the government, for instance in Spain, simply needs to stop the issuance of government bonds, and fund the entire public sector borrowing requirement from the domestic banks that create it out of nothing – and can do so at more competitive rates as the bond markets: this policy of Enhanced Debt Management (Werner, 2014b) not only would make it obvious that Spain does not need the ECB, but it would also put the national debt profiteers – the bond underwriting firms such as Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley – out of business.

This reality of private money creation also means that we can, without legal obstacles, create a decentralized system of local currencies, without central bank involvement.

The key principle of such decentralization is local autonomy, self-determination, self-responsibility and self-administration. These are in fact the fundamental principles of the co-operative movement, as championed by Hermann Schultze-Delitzsch and Wilhelm Raiffeisen over 150 years ago. This co-operative movement early on realized that a crucial role for co-operatives is in the creation of co-operative banks controlled by the local communities. Sadly, in the UK credit unions are not banks, since they are not allowed to lend to firms in meaningful amounts, and don’t have a banking license. Thus we need to create true community banks.

Lord Action pointed out:

“It is easier to find people fit to govern themselves than people fit to govern others”.

“Towns were the nursery of freedom.”

The German banking system is dominated by 1,500 community banks, which are also the majority of banks in the entire EU. This means that 80% of German banks are not-for-profit, which has strengthened the German economy for the past 200 years. A banking system consisting of many small banks is also far less prone to boom-bust cycles and it creates more jobs per given amount of loan than large banks. Thus community banks also result in a more equal income and wealth distribution.

Local banking is highly popular in Germany, because SMEs get access to finance that would not be serviced by large banks. The community banks provide their services at competitive rates and support their customers also during recessions. With community banks, the wider community gets a bank whose goals are aligned with theirs, banks that pay taxes, banks that support local growth and jobs. At the same time community banks offer customers a place to put their money where it can benefit the local community, not far-flung projects or speculators.

Can we tackle this challenge?

Until the 1970s, there has been much optimism in economics and there have been high expectations that many of the problems of mankind would soon be solved.

Was this a reasonable expectation?

While it has not come true, it was a reasonable expectation. This is because

“Our problems are man-made, therefore they may be solved by man. And man can be as big as he wants. No problem of human destiny is beyond human beings”

John F. Kennedy

we would need central banks in case we felt that we can't deal with our problems on our own. I believe that time has already passed long ago. We're ready for decentralization.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Earnings on: June 09, 2018, 10:35:40 AM
Everything depends on the project, which will invest in its prospects but up to 1k dollars, more I have not received in one month. But even this amount looks good.

the thing is that usually after the ICO, tokens prices crash because of ill-educated bounty hunters who dump their tokens immediately, not understanding the real value of the economy.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: List Social Media Bounty No Need Report Daily or Weekly on: June 09, 2018, 10:33:55 AM
Helo bounty hunters let's join this thread to list bounty for social media that shouldn' report daily or weekly. It is disgusting to report link in bounty thread tweet : link
RT : link

it is too much time

please list bounty that not report here

honestly, bounty work doesn't take too much time, it's just few minutes per campaign. I don't like reporting work either, that is why I only join signature campaigns, but complaining about too much work is funny.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why hold ethereum on: June 09, 2018, 10:32:49 AM
If I could pick one crypto that suits for holding, that would be ethereum. Do you agree that this one is good for a holder ?

It's more established than other alts in the market and  companies are adopting it.

Eth is supposed to be used as a fuel for transaction on ethereum blockchain network. So if you decide to have ethereum primary purpose should be that, all else is the speculation that is not helping the market.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My opinion about ETH on: June 09, 2018, 10:31:57 AM
In my opinion , ETH is now more hot than BTC because the explosion of ICOs base on ETH Blockchain. During the recent dip, ETH price even a little come up, all altcoins and BTC holders lose funds but ETH holders still have profit. So i think that ETH will reach BTC price this year. What do you think guys?

even Eth has lost big part of its value, but it means nothing. You're right to say that Eth is fueling token economy and it will only grow when they sort some things out.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: encourage others to crypto on: June 05, 2018, 11:01:40 AM
Will you encourage others to invest in crypto and explain to them that this is not a scam or a pyramiding activity?

well, some of the crypto projects are scam. So what is important to teach is that things are not black and white, there are good crypto projects and bad ones, if someone wants to invest, let them do it. If not, don't push them.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: June 05, 2018, 10:59:12 AM
I noticed that many investors were afraid to buy during ICO because their reason they are cheaper can be bought on market. Especially when they found out  that a large percentage is allotted in the bounty program. Many Bounty Hunters  immediately selling token/coin even lower than the ICO price.

#Datarius

it's the truth, very often this happens, mainly because of bounty hunters as you pointed out. But if no one would buy in ICO, there wouldn't be anything after that. Maybe the best strategy is to support the project through ICO and then buy the rest after the ICO when the prices dip
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still did not get bounty rewards? on: June 04, 2018, 09:12:14 PM
One of the campaigns I joined ran for 20 weeks and that is approximately 4.6 months and their coin is not yet listed that's why my tokens have no value yet. (SMT) coin. Did you complete the weeks in the campaigns you joined? And are joining bounty campaigns that are managed by high ranked members? If not, next time you should because, high-rank members that handle campaign are more capable of knowing which project is a scam. Right now, I don't know if you joined scam projects but I think you should still wait for those projects' tokens if you really trust them.
Are you saying that joining companies that run high-ranking members can reduce the risk of running into a Scam?... In my little practice, I can say that this is nonsense, because I used to rely on this fact, and also looked at the ratings on sites like ICObench, but it did not make me richer) Tongue. Ratings of projects that are above 4.5 and with a bunch of reviews from" experts " also do not cost anything Tongue...And high-ranking members grab at dozens of projects at the same time and can be only 1 will be worth something... Undecided

Yes, that is right. Sites like ICObench sell their estimates for money. Recently I read on the bitcointalk (in russian locale) one person who was there an expert who revealed how everything works there. Everything is sold and bought (

I don't think that everything is bought, but I tend to believe it's possible to buy nice review with decent sum of money. But when you look at the ratings in general, they're pretty accurate I reckon
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you interested in cryptocurrency? on: June 04, 2018, 09:11:13 PM
Main reason is decentralization, it's bad to put all eggs in one basket.

it's bad and especially it makes you puppet in the hands of the basket owner. But if the basket is owned by many and democracy is the way the decisions are being made about the basket, the risks are much lower
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When your token goes down hard, are you going to sell it? on: June 04, 2018, 09:09:37 PM
No, buy high, sell low doesn't work well.
it seems to me that works just fine for many community members here Smiley and they're even asking others if that is justifiable attitude... well let them do so then, if they feel like charity
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for Airdrops: A bad precedence on: June 03, 2018, 01:20:53 PM
I have recently seen where bounty hunters were asked to present identifying documents.  Am really against kyc because one of the reasons I joined crypto was the anonymity which it provides. But sadly that's gently creeping away.

Now this KYC has come into airdrops. Imagine am to submit my ID to some I don't know which planet he or she or they are from for some pennies worth tokens.

It's terrible and this is a bad precedence these people are setting.

If as a community we do not say no to this,  then it would become the norm.

it's not great, I'm not happy about KYC either, but it's understandable for good projects that want to comply. he solution is to join only the solid projects, not every project. Then your data should be safe.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is for day trading on: June 03, 2018, 01:19:36 PM
Because its volatility promising higher profit than holding. Holding is bad idea if you want to make money in crypto, for the better learn about how to trade it with methode day or swing trading. By trade it you can turn your money more faster than holding but offcource you have to spend times and effort for that.

I don't see how is that a rule. I would say quite opposite, long holding gives you an opporutnity to gain more if the project kicks off, then the margins are really high. Day trading makes sense for bad coins that gain some traction for short term.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What made you Invest into Crypto Currency on: June 03, 2018, 01:18:15 PM
I am a newbie in crypto market. I was listening to the news every day about Bitcoin and ETH, I heard about Bitcoin in late 2012 but did not paid a heed as a lot of people around the world did and are doing still.

In late Oct 2017 when BTC was on it way to making its ATH, curiosity brought me to this world of crypto and as noob I started reading more about Bitcoin, Altcoins, how does market works which are local exchanges etc. I did my 1st Investment into bitcoin of 100 USD to enter into my first ever ICO Electroneum thought it was a good project as a noob though a good marketing team but they are long way ahead to deliver real results, having said this it gave a good return almost 10x on investment and with that initial 100 USD my journey to crypto started and now I am HODLING a dozens of coins since then.

I had only added 150 USD since then to get into a couple of projects when I was running out of some small investments. So with overall 250 USD Investment, my current portfolio stands at a couple of thousand dollars and still a long way to go. Added coins like CPX, DBC, BLZ, elec, nexo, qlc, Seele etc to my portfolio with minimum investment in each ICO.

I have very conservative strategy with a long-term approach, as a newbie, I am still learning basics of this market, making small mistakes, understanding the ways and means to generate wealth, searching long-term projects which can be potential game changer or life-changing investment.

Would love to hear fellow crypto investor about there experience in crypto world and about the learning, strategies they used to generate good returns, how can one go about finding good opportunities to invest into without trading and having long-term approach in mind.

Looking forward to learn from you people Smiley

it's nice to hear you're making a profit and progress. I've been around for a long time and the truth is that you need to be very patient and cautious when making the investments, do not go for hype or fud
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bounty not an investment? on: June 03, 2018, 01:16:18 PM
I have seen a lot of threads here asking about whether people will invest in a coin or do bounty. Its high time we all understood that, investment is not only about money. To me, any effort put into something to make it a reality can be regarded as investment. People who buy coins invest with their monies whiles those who participate in bounties also invest with their time and energy. Money is a replaceable resource but time can never replaced. To me, bounty hunters are also investors. What do you think?

You're right. It's slightly different than money investment, it's time investment. For some people it's much cheaper to invet 15 minutes a day into the bounty, for some people it's too expensive.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency? on: June 03, 2018, 01:15:15 PM
Can possible uneducated people join the Cryptocurrency?
Have one condition he have enough balance to trading. So what do you think guys?

my impression is that nowadays majority of newjoiners are uneducated people from 3rd world countries. There would be nothing bad about it if they were trying to educate themselves, instead they're trying to persuade others about their truth
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will crypto replace fiat money? on: June 01, 2018, 05:25:24 PM
I think one day cryptocurrencies maybe will not replace fiat money, but they will be accepted in a lot of stores and places all over the world. So when the resellers and people more like to accept cryptocurrencies then fiat money, i think we got it. Because fiat money will not dissapear in the next twenty years.

in fact, this has already been the case in china. although it is not directly related to crypto, but they already have an app called wechat whereby everything over there can be paid by this app. so they already considered to be cashless society already.

very true, either way, cash is going to diminish and online money will be here instead. let's all hope some cryptocurrency will be the one taking over, not some other technology.
118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are some of the best sources of information on Bitcoin? on: June 01, 2018, 05:24:05 PM
This forum will give you a lot of useful information.
Because this forum has all sorts of useful information.

I'm afraid that is not the truth anymore. Very rarely you can find some valuable posts here, mostly it's only questions on how to earn free bitcoins and when the prices of crypto will moon...
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge potential earnings in bitcoin, still not interesting for others on: June 01, 2018, 05:23:02 PM
As i began my journey through the world of cryptocurrency, it comes to my mind why other people are just ignoring the opportunities that bitcoin gives..

Can you give me some reasons why it's not that interesting for others?

I believe it's pretty interesting to many people in this community. It's human nature to be trying to become millionaire overnight, therefore now they're also looking at new altcoins
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver Apology Video - Give Him Some Credit Please on: June 01, 2018, 05:20:28 PM
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o8uNkcvtRtA

You  have to admit that it was actually a big step for Ver to come forward and apologise for his conduct during the infamous "Rage Video". We all know he did not have to do it but it was a step in the right direction. Personally I think it falls short because there is less apologising and more blaming the other party going on but nevertheless he stated why aspects of that interview got to him and he lost his temper.

Now when it comes to Ver and what people perceive as his failed attempt to take over Bitcoin and his current attempt to disrupt Bitcoin by trying to conflate it with Bitcoin Cash, I am with the majority in that what he has done and what he is doing is wrong but when someone tries to make some amends it should be appreciated and accepted by the community. Sure, his apology was all about his conduct during the Rage Interview and not about him creating confusion with his bitcoin.com domain but that might be a start, an avenue to a new beginning which might result in Ver being welcomed back to the community with open arms as long as he changes slowly but surely towards helping Bitcoin while still keeping and promoting his Bitcoin Cash.

Though Bitcoin is king and will remain for many years to come the truth is Bitcoin would be a little stronger having Ver advocating it and promoting it. Bitcoin will go on and move forward regardless of whether Ver is on its side or not but having someone with his profile and history (the positive parts) to promote Bitcoin will only be a good move. This morning I spent an hour or so looking at his posts from when as a newbie here. There was no indication at that time that he would be so disliked in the community because he was so helpful promoting Bitcoin with billboards and radio ads that he paid for, surely that counts for something.

Something obviously went wrong in the thinking and psyche of Ver which was the reason why he began to have a dislike of Bitcoin. If there is any way to get Ver back on side then it will be a win-win situation all round.

Does anybody know the actual specific grievances Ver has with the Bitcoin developers apart from fees, transaction times and block size?

it's nice he has apologized, but what is most disturbing is to see the person really cares about his ego and money more than anything other, he's no better than 99% of this community
