odds tells that someone is about to find block in next 7 days.. really would like to know if is it possible to add that users best share in stats it would make pool( and any other pools using same source) more reliable since then pool would be caught if stealing hashpower to another non public walllet. not telling that anyone is doing it but it is possible in my mind: possible scam(or extreme bad luck)= http://bitsolo.netlast block 17th August 2014 - 17:00 , hash power sometimes more than here Nope Bitsolo is a valid site. If you look at the hashrate it is relatively low compared to here (sometimes has a max of 90Th where this is always in the 100's -- current rate 54th which isnt really much).. the block finder in august found 5blocks and he chucked 250Th at the site.

So tempted to spend 2btc on 5-6hrs mining @ 700Th
would use same money to longer mining time slower hash I would hold onto the 2 BTC. The approximate odds of finding a block in 5 hours would calculate to: ~320,000 Th/s bitcoin network 700 Th/s your hashrate 30 blocks (1 block per 10 min, 30 blocks in 5 hrs) 320,000 / 700: 1 in ~457 per block 457 / 30: 1 in ~15 for 5 hours timeframe. Do you feel lucky? Can you afford to lose those coins? I know it's a risk, 1 in 15 is good odds. I've spent more on horses and casino. It would be a kind of 1 off thing Same here. Right now, 2 btc is a day in Vegas ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Ah but a block is a weekend, show and hooker..

So dead again ?
Looks like it. It's been 2.5mths since WaspJoe last posted and 9mths for Beastlymac. Can we just please have a post from WaspJoe or Beastlymac confirming if this project is dead in the water or not.

Looking at Ghash stats they used to be regularly in finding runs of consecutive blocks over a 24hr period but now it seem sthey find 3/4 consecutive with the largest gap between being 34 blocks.. for a size of that pool and a gap that big just shows it's not all about the size of the pool.

yes, it works; found a block with rented rigs ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) There are two reasons I can think of you're only seeing 120 TH. 1) the rig you rented isn't performing as it should or 2) the average hashrate shown on the ckpool website only climbs slowly to your real hashrate; so if you're only renting for a short period of time (my guess is you are since it would cost quite a lot to rent that much hash) the averages are way off. That's awesome, can I ask how much you had rented to find a block? I've been trying with 50-80THs over the last day but no luck for me. Was back in september; rented 6.25 TH/s and found a block within 24 hours. Very lucky! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=763510.msg8918508#msg8918508....
Fantastic. Roll on payday. Currently have 4 hand warmers, sorry I mean 333mh erupter's pointing here. I've tried using the calculators to work out how long at 340Th, would take and it returns about 8days + luck. does that sound about right? On average with current diff it should take about 6 days with 340 TH/s but luck obviously plays a big part so you could hit a block in a minute or it could take much longer then 6 days. EDIT: I see Quiveringgibbage already answered this question more precisely; missed it the first time. No problem thank you for the reply(ies).

Would rig rental work with this pool? I've used another one in the past but stats only recorded 120Th when I had 340Th pointed there (treat myself each month)
