hi guys,

so i wanted to try some different strategies for the HI-LO game, but the auto-bet does not have all the features i need (like reducing the bet or increasing/decreasing multiplier by X%). I also noticed that there are quite some amount of JS scripts out there. with such a script i could automate my betting strategy, so i wanted to ask if it is legitimate to use something like that?

also can i create multiple accounts just for the HI-LO game, if i only use the faucet on my main account?

Yes, creating multiple accounts is fine as long as they are not done for the purpose of abusing the faucet. You can use any scripts for the dice game too but please check first to ensure that the script does not do anything malicious. If there are any options you would like to have added to the auto-bet, please let me know and I'll try to see if it can be done.

Everytime i buy lottery like 2 or 3 ticket after the free roll. My progress to next bonus is decreased. Like from 22.4567 to 22.2345 etc.. isn't every purchase(lottery and multiply) should increase the next bonus %?

The free roll decreases your percentage and the buying of tickets increases it. After you play a free roll, reload the page and then check the percentage and compare after buying tickets.

I love freebitco.in a lot and I've been in love with it for about last three years. It's 100% legit and what I like the most about it is before one could complain of anything not working fine or request a new feature the owner of freebitco are so smart and active and also sincere to their work that they accomplish everything needed well in advance (fixing bug if any, adding new feature etc). And that's why I guess it's been one of most visited website in bitcoin ecosystem.
https://news.bitcoin.com/the-9-most-visited-websites-in-bitcoin/

That is an interesting article. Back then blockchain.info was ranked 3,641 vs freebitco.in's 4,795 but as of today blockchain.info is at 1,284 and we are at 1,553 so we seem to be closing the gap. Maybe one day we shall be the most popular bitcoin website.

Throwing my 580 TH here to help crack the block.

I have my miners pointed at miningrigrentals and mine through there and when I added this pool, it gave me an error message that they were unable to authenticate but I ignored that error and miners seem to be mining fine at this pool. Not sure if the problem is at their end or yours. I haven't seen this error for any other pools that I have there.

Hi admin , i have a question..
if you have the max bonus active, in the future it decrease or not?

I'm not an admin, but yes. Yes, it does. The bonus you get is only guaranteed for next free roll.

The bonus rewards are still experimental and they will probably change as I work things out (probably go down). there is no fixed wager requirement to get an increased bonus. It is calculated based on what you have wagered/spent on lottery vs. how much you have claimed from the faucet. As that ratio increases, the reward will increase and as it decreases the reward will go back down. It isn't guaranteed.

The free btc bonuses have not been finalized yet, the numbers still need to be worked out. The bonus will stack with the reward points bonus so you can have both running to maximize your rolls. However the free btc bonus is only guaranteed for the next roll and if after that your requirements fall below the threshold, the bonus will be reduced as well. Just to make things clearer, the picture below shows the maximum your faucet can be boosted to with the current prices.

I think it's finalized now though.

I have changed the free play bonus formula one final time. Wagering in MULTIPLY BTC now has 1x weight towards calculating your bonus, playing for jackpots has 4x weight and buying lottery tickets has 20x weight.

If I may, would you mind telling us what the formula was the previous times, wetsuit? I'd like to know if the weights moved upwards or downwards from initial settings. How far off were you guys from your predictions? Did I miss out by not multiply rolling during initial release, or was I smart for waiting for things to settle down?

It didn't really matter because your wagers and purchases from before were always being recorded. So you didn't lose anything by wagering before or after because it was all being counted towards the bonus. Just the formula for calculating the bonus was changed. I tried to make it as fair as possible and at the same time not let the rewards get out of control.

Captcha hasn't been removed for all users, we still have a lot of bots trying to abuse the faucet. It is only removed for users who play MULTIPLY BTC/buy tickets over a certain amount since abusers wouldn't do that as it is not profitable for them to do so.
107  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: July 05, 2017, 08:24:40 AM
yes is straing some days ago i also had no captachs to solve .
i was woundering whats going on here XD but now i have again to solve chaptachs but its no problem on this major page.
iam doing this solvemedia thinks allways for freebitcoin admin so he gets a small bonus.

its still the greatest faucet out here !
regards

Is there a way to automatically select solvemedia, instead of clicking the drop-menu each time?

If you select it once, it should set a cookie so that solvemedia is automatically selected the next time the page reloads. Is that not happening?

Interesting to see that they start providing option to earn interest on your balance.
The lottery is provably fair, however, unfortunately haven't won anything till now(((
Lottery is provably fair  Huh Can't find anything regarding fairness of their lottery.
They are giving just 4% annual interest on your bitcoin deposits and I don't think it is worth if you consider the risk of losing all of your deposits if anything goes wrong with them.
I was also searching where we can check this lottery system is fair but have nothing about this and never have any person who post here about this because most of time we have random addresses as winners if OP want some more audience in this lottery need to work on this system in future

Oh come one guys, please read the thread before posting. In the lottery page there is now a link "THIS LOTTERY IS PROVABLY FAIR!". Clicking that link will describe the provably fair system that is going to be used from this round onwards.

This has gone hardly unnoticed, but I just want to thank Wetsuit for posting it on here. I have been one of the skeptics on this forum about the fairness of the Lottery and now you guys come up with this. ^smile^ A lot of people will try to poke holes into this method, but I think it is an excellent step in the right direction. Thank you for all the hard work that was obviously done to accomplish this task. You never fail to deliver. ^smile^

Thank you for your kind words. I would also like to thank everyone who posted their ideas to help me solve this problem which I previously thought was not possible to solve.
109  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: July 05, 2017, 07:30:27 AM
Yeah, the 4.08% annual interest is kinda low but still it's better than before. Before there was nothing, nothing at all, just an ordinary faucet gambling site. The best move so far was removing the captcha for faucet claims. Hoping they will increase the compounding interest.
"kinda low"? O c'mon, 4% is an awesome move! No such thing around since 2(?) years.
However one important thing must be addressed here, namely a huge thanks must be given to wetsuit.
We have seen a lot of faucet/services owners starting their businesses here, on bitcointalk.
Some of them vanished without a word, others stated that they have "outgrown" this great community and left.
Not to mention scammers(but who cares about them anyway?).
Owner of FreeBitco.in however despite being successful with his project haven't left us Smiley
Moreover he is still very active, with all kind of advices and support. Admirable, worth following/imitate.
Once again, thank you wetsuit for being different, for treating this place as a homebase, for sticking with blabbing and complaining users Wink Long last freebitcoin.

Thanks for the kind words. This forum is a great way of getting feedback on what we do and user complaints only help us improve.

Indeed 4% annual interest is so low, better to invest on gambling sites where you can earn more but of course there is bigger risk as well. Anyway, is there any stats on the investment at freebitcoin like how many people investing and how many btc invested so far?

Its in the STATS page.

The lottery page has now been updated with the details on how the winners will be picked from round 110 onward. Please let me know if it isn't clear or difficult to understand. I have tried to make it as easy to understand as possible so that everyone can do the verification themselves.

The system looks ok but is there any way you can assign ticket number when people purchase instead of assigning ticket number at the end of the round finish? I'm not a very technical guy, but this looks much better than the current system which no one can be verified.

It makes no difference to the provable fairness of the system because ticket numbers are assigned before we know the bitcoin block hash so we cannot predict the outcome when the numbers are assigned.

Assigning ticket numbers when people purchase tickets will have a couple of problems:

1). It would require us to store 250 million records in the database which would cause a lot of extra load
2) It will make the verification's file much larger in size (250 million records vs 500,000 now) - 500x bigger. Right now the verification file would be about 14 mb in size but having individual ticket numbers will make the file 7 gb in size so it will be much more difficult for people to download the file and verify the results.

Yes, it will not have any impact on provable fairness. But people buy lottery tickets with so many different numbers to increase their winning chance. But in this method, you're going to assign consecutive numbers to one member, and even though they buy tickets at different timings and day, still they will get consecutive numbers. If you can assign a ticket number when they buy, then they can get many different ticket numbers.

I understand that there is a psychological impact of having different numbers so that users can pick lucky numbers etc. but it is simply not possible to at a reasonable cost at our scale. Maybe someone can do a lottery with a fixed number of tickets and have users pick numbers that they like and it should be ok for lotteries with higher priced but limited tickets but we cannot price tickets higher since we give them out for free mostly and the ticket price is actually added to the lottery prize pool for tickets that are given out for free.

Why do you need for everyone to download the file, if you can possibly identify 1 or 2 reputable and knowledgeable community member to audit and verify the results? You could pay this person to do this audit and verification and you can ask the community for suggestions to whom this might be. Even if you can get this person to do spot checks, then you do not have to pay them weekly. < 2 random checks per month will be acceptable >

I cannot see why this cannot be done. ^hmmmmmm^

Isn't it better if everyone can verify the results rather than having only 1 or 2 do it? Also we have many many users who do not even use this forum so a "trusted" member here means nothing to them (also means nothing to me if you see the history of trusted members scamming). After all it makes no difference to the fairness of the system so isn't it better to pick the option that is easier rather than making it more difficult with no additional benefit?

I had asked people to pick out holes in the system about couple weeks ago and still do. If the system can be cheated, please let me know how.

Also a trusted member will not solve the issue of the database size increasing by 70 GB per round (and we have to store at least 2 rounds simultaneously so 140 GB that is replicated among 4 servers). In comparison, our current database size is 4 GB total. People who have worked with large databases will tell you how computationally intensive it is to sort 250 million records. If this was the only way to make the lottery provably fair, I wouldn't have done it at all because it would cost more to do than it would bring in. Hence I offered the 1 BTC reward for a better way and it has been found so it makes no sense to implement the worse method among the two.

Congratulations for both guys, 0.5BTC seems like a fine reward Smiley both winners will post their tx's I hope?
Out of curiosity, wetsuit why not try live lottery raffle? Like on youtube or twitch?
Such huge user-base would surely generate additional income on those platforms not to mention it could be first event of this type in business. It would of course mean another serious changes to the system and more expenses, can you imagine the first real bitcoin lotto machine (balls with numbers) that you can watch/play online... revolution.
Huge step, imo whoever makes it will take over small gambling world of bitcoin.

Couple of issues with that:

1). Creating a wheel for 200 million tickets and 500,000+ users/round would need a really huge wheel so that everything is visible.
2). Also, it is not automated so it will need to be done manually at a fixed time every week which might not be possible always.
3). Thirdly, pre-recorded videos can be made to appear as live.

I needed a system that is air-tight, automated and can be verified easily. This system fulfills all those criteria.

You are correct that there is potential in doing a live lottery, but it would need to be done as a lotto game like the UK national lottery.

The lottery round will be provably fair from the round starting today (round 110). The SHA256 hash for the server seed of this round will be b09379ba8c6f0e995b623d118ec1836ee3c92f3085c025a2ee100ce1e10c3806. Someone please quote this so that I cannot edit it later. The full details on how the winners will be picked will be updated in the website shortly after the new round begins.

The 1 BTC bounty for helping with ideas for developing this system will be shared equally between Zhor and edge777. If you guys see this message, please pm me your Freebitco.in user id's. If not, i'll contact you in a couple of days to ask for them.

This post describes how the winners will be picked: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=320959.msg19748669#msg19748669

I shall try to pre-generate the seeds for the next 1,000 rounds and post their hashes in the forum after the first couple of provably fair rounds have completed successfully.

If there are no technical difficulties, I'll have the provably fair system for the lottery implemented by round 110.
120  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: June 25, 2017, 05:39:26 AM
Since lottery is under scope now: I made simple statistic using last 10 lottery rounds.
And I found very , very interesting data.
It say that current it have 5,348,264 registered users.
From that number in last ten rounds  7 users got twice lottery and two of them got three times
They must be very lucky guys in private life.
Can I get little of theirs luck?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Tongue Tongue Tongue Tongue
I removed user data ID, but every one can make same and got same data

You should also calculate the profit. Quite a few of those users spent more on tickets than they won (or they got it free from the dice game).
