101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 13, 2023, 05:52:27 PM
Ireland Cricket has been performing well for the past few days. Although their calculation of winnings are not more, but they shows a good sign. I fully support what you said that they are competing well with the big teams. I never imagined that a team like Ireland would be able to score such a big score against Bangladesh. Because Bangladesh team has some remarkable bowlers from whom getting more score is not a very easy task. Also my prediction was maybe Ireland team will win that match. If Ireland win the toss and decide to bowl then they might have a chance of winning the next match.
Ireland were going with 3.7 RPO till 12th  over and they ended giving a target of 320 runs in just 45 overs. Harry Tector 140 runs on 113 balls along with George Dockrell 74 runs on just 47 are the main contributions in setting a target of 320 runs for Bangladesh. It was a dream target for any bowling lineup to defend but Irish bowling gave it too easily. In fact Bangladeshi batting didn't faced any problem while chasing the target and won the match in 45th over with 3 balls to spare.
I was really surprised by the way Ireland's batsmen batted. The batting line-up of this team is very strong day by day. Batsmen are gradually becoming more experienced and their performance is improving. In the first 25 overs, Ireland could only score 124 runs with the loss of three wickets. And their collection was 195 runs in the last 20 overs. Ireland's players scored around 9.75 runs per over. They batted well. I would have been happy if Ireland had won the match. This would increase the confidence of this team. And they will be motivated to play better in future matches.

I think we all are going to agree that the pitch was really good for batting and not good at all for bowling. That's why both of the teams actually performed really well while batting. This chase was a really good one. But at the same time, I thought this should have been easier for Bangladesh.

Considering the fact that they were in such a good position in this match. When Shanto got out things started to change in favour of Ireland. But it was good to see the experienced Mushfiqur Rahim saving the match for Bangladesh. At the same time, I will also say that Bangladesh was actually lucky. I thought Rahim was going to be given run out and there was the no-ball as well.
Bangladesh batting was top good in last ODI although they started badly but the partnership of Najmul Hossain Shanto and Tawheed Hriday saved them from defeat . Ireland on other hand were good too they have shown great improvement in last matches but unfortunately couldn't win any .
102  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 08, 2023, 03:19:49 PM
In government jobs it's definite that you are going to retire after 60 or 65 years of age and after that you'll get pensions to support you in later years.  But in business you have no retirement and no definite working hours which is tiring as everyone wants to relax at some point in thier lives .
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Power outages causes huge economic loss in south Africa. on: May 08, 2023, 03:17:12 PM
Power outages in south Africa has caused the death of over 40000 birds in a poultry farm in south Africa, the farmer recounts his losses as the electricity distribution company refuse to bring power for some days.

The problem with people is that why do they have to be too dependent on government for their survival, in this case i wouldn't pity the people for their lost because you can't tell me to have implanted a big project in agriculture like this as an establishement and yet have not made any adequate backup for the power supply knowing how epileptic is the African power supply is, while your farm cannot withstand hours of power outage not to talk of a whole day, in everything that we do, let's always have a plan b to serve as our second alternative in other for us not to suffer losses than we could have used in securing a remedy as alternative.
With this increasing problem of power outages its advisable to go for solar panels installations or generators as backup to avoid such big loses . Obviously electricity companies or government will not take responsibility of anything like that  you have to look out for yourselves because at the end its your loss .

-snip-
I am sure that many people will support and predict that Bangladesh will win because they are a team that cannot be underestimated, even in the last meeting Bangladesh could win the match against Ireland.
Even though Ireland will have the advantage because the match will take place in England, I still believe that Bangladesh can win like in the previous match.
So far Bangladesh has always been a good team in every match of the ODI series.
Bangladesh has been really good in last couple of series and now this is their test that they have improved to that entend or as speculations home ground advantages .
Ireland have one more  chance to prove themselves.

GT Vs LSG match Gujarat Titans scored 227 runs in the first innings. Gujarat's batting performance in today's match was excellent and the complete match ended the game beautifully. Shubman Gill in particular batted extremely well scoring 94 runs off 50 balls narrowly missing out on a century. Another great batsman in the match was Wriddhiman Saha who scored 81 off 43 balls which narrowly missed out on a century. Gujarat performed so well in today's match that their wickets did not fall much with only two wickets falling. The way Gujarat ran in today's match, they will surely win. We have seen Gujarat lose one out of the few matches they have played this season and have won all of them. I don't think LSG can score 228 runs in today's match as Gujarat are currently in the best form.

Gujarat Titans once again played their best game and scored 227 runs in their 20 overs. They only lost 2 wickets. Wriddhiman Saha scored 84 and Shubman Gill scored 94 runs and remain not out. I wished he could have completed his century as he deserved it. Remeber they are on the top of the table with 14 points.

In response, Lucknow Super Giants are playing equally well and scored 75 runs without losing any wickets. Both the openers Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock are looking good at the batting pitch and i expect a close finish in todays match.
Brilliant batting by Gujarat Titans they gave a big target of 227 to Lucknow Super Giants with loss of 2 wickets only .
Now LSG is in good position too they haven't lost any wicket till now but in these types of matches where you have to chase big all matters is runrates . They have scored 88 runs in 8 overs (CRR is 11 and required run rate is 11 too ) which is good.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 07, 2023, 12:42:00 PM

For some reason, I really think that New Zealand honestly does not care about losing the series. But there should certainly at least try to avoid the Whitewash.

Strange thinking is that when a team is not interested in winning the series why would they be interested to avoid a whitewash ? Rather if a team has such an approach they should not tour for the series and bring a bad name to their country.

Now coming to today's final match, New Zealand have won the toss and they have decided to bat first. They have scored almost 72 runs in the first 15 overs and lost only one wicket. Will Young is playing at 42 and these young batsmen have survived the early spell from Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf. Mohammad Wasim too one wicket though.

I think NZ team has started well in this final match but it's too early to say if they will be able to win today or not ?
You cannot say Newzealand is not trying to win they tried to win in almost all the matches and they gave a good decent competition to Pakistan.  Pakistan is better as compared to them as they are playing with their new players and when situation like this happens stronger teams win always.
Now the question is can Newzealand avoid whitewash today?

108  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 07, 2023, 04:57:28 AM
Prosperity in a business depends on an entrepreneur. If he has long planned to expand his business then he will surely get success. It is important to remember that the business you are serving may be done by others as well ‍. You have to find where your difference from them? Why will consumers come to you? What are your facilities that others cannot offer? etc. To provide more benefits which can be a strategy to grow your business. But if one can maintain customer relationship along with all these facilities then surely those customers will not go anywhere else. As a result, your business will expand further and you can increase your profit.
The profit in business depends alot on business efficiency and products quality.  Of you are efficient in your service your profit will increase eventually .
Your business strategies are also very important for growth if business innovations are always welcomed in business world and accepted greatly by customers .
109  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Achraf hakimi's smartness be the new normal for footballers. on: May 06, 2023, 10:30:44 AM
His move is totally sensible and he's far sighted as he has seen that before that many girls will come in his life for money ad football players are good earners too.
May be his love for his mother is the reason as she is the one who made him this famous (family comes first) and he owes his success to his mother .
110  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Politicians can't be trusted. on: May 06, 2023, 10:26:58 AM
Politicians are the most selfish,  cruel and corrupt people in any country they think about their benefits and interests .
Lucky is any country who got honest politicians or atleat the ones who are not corrupt which is rare.
Politics is all about snatching seats from opposition  and than sit on that to enjoy the perks .

Pakistan's highest success in ODI cricket

After winning the fourth ODI match against New Zealand, Pakistan secured the number one position in the points table in ODI cricket for the first time. Pakistan has never been able to reach number one in the points table in ODI cricket before but after winning four ODI matches in a row in New Zealand vs Pakistan ODI series, Pakistan managed to achieve this huge feat.

Babar Azam's brilliant batting and Usama Mir's brilliant bowling helped Pakistan achieve this in the fourth ODI match. In the last ODI match, Babar Azam managed to score 107 runs off 117 balls and Pakistan's bowler Usama Mir took four valuable wickets with 43 runs in ten overs.  Congratulations to Pakistan.
Pakistan got a big achievement last night and this is a clear answer for all the teams and countries who have been insulting Pakistan and its love for cricket.
Babar Azam has once again made record  what a player he's spectacular and brilliant batting skills . Such a gifted boy he is.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: May 06, 2023, 10:21:00 AM
Even for the 2026 World Cup, I don't think that alcoholic beverages other than beer will be available at the stadiums. And ever since I have started watching football, I have never witnessed any issue related to alcohol during the matches. In western nations, people know how to behave themselves after taking alcohol. And in the third world nations, there is a blanket ban on such beverages. Anyway, I am of the opinion that the authorities should not tell to ordinary people what they should eat or drink. Whether or not to consume alcohol should be a decision to be made by the fans themselves.

Never understood the pleasure of drinking beer in a stadium. As you know, it is processed very quickly and you have to run to the toilet (which is usually full) during the game. It is absolutely inconvenient and unfun in my opinion.
By the way, about the fact that beer is considered a "light" alcoholic drink, I also have a big misunderstanding - with a sufficient amount of alcohol drunk, it causes no less intoxicating effect than other drinks.
But in general, I agree that as long as a person does not interfere with others, he himself has the right to decide what to drink and eat.

Some people like to drink beer and some other people don't like it but the whole point of this story is about the rules and freedom because if a country is hosting the world cup they should give enough freedom to people who came to this country for watching the world cup games and since drinking alcoholic drinks is something many people do, I was expecting to see Qatar allows that, but I'm sure in 2026 that's not forbidden in America.
Do you all think that the FIFA authorities can organize the next World Cup like the World Cup in Qatar? In fact, although the FIFA authorities have made a great contribution to organizing this World Cup, the country where it will be hosted needs the most craftsmanship. From that point of view, I don't think any other country like Qatar can spend so much money on football world cup.
Why beer or alcohol Is such important topic of discussion for western people , is it so important in their lives or they can't watch Football without that .
Let's see how matches will be and what will be arrangement of teams and stadiums . The environment of stadiums matters alot as that what matters.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 05, 2023, 12:26:08 PM

The current squad of New Zealand is without there 8 main players, and still, they were able to draw the T20 series. Pakistan has done relatively better in the ODI series, but still, 2 ODIs left and New Zealand have the capability to win the remaining 2 ODIs. If New  Zealand able to win next 2 ODIs then it will place big question mark on performance of Pakistan. 4th ODI is scheduled today and new Zealand will try there best today to win the game.
Match will start in 40 minutes. And I am again thinking that the Pakistan will again give surprise. Pakistan is looking strong like it was in the  previous matches. I hope Fakhar Zaman will make century again. And Imamulhaq will also make 50+ runs. And today I hope if Pakistan will take the bat first so the target will be 300+. Its a hope not a confirmation.
New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl first. Pakistan put up a decent start with the bat Despite Fakhar Zaman 14 runs and early dismissal Shan Masood 44 runs have provided stability to Pakistan innings 106 with a loss of 2 wickets in 20 overs. With Babar Azam 30 and Rizwan 15 at the crease, Pakistan still has a strong batting lineup to build a good total. It's great to see fans hoping for a score of 290 plus and with the way things are going it is possible. Let's hope for an entertaining and competitive game between Pakistan and New Zealand.
Pakistan is so far in a stable position after loosing 2 wickets they are are on 132 runs,  runrate is going good so far . Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam are playing so let's see how they'll score today as their partnership is very famous for Pakistan winning or loosing any game.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: May 05, 2023, 12:22:12 PM
For some people everything is about money so for them their success is money,  they don't want to achieve anything in life means they as ambitionless and goalless people who don't have any dream and passion in life all they want is to earn money by any means .
For me success is your achievements that makes your a complete person   your hardwork is everything in your life . Fame is optional if you want to get famous you can and if you want to remain undercover and low profile you can do that too.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Imagination and reality on: May 05, 2023, 12:18:13 PM
Imagination can be converted into reality through hard work and proper planning but day dreaming is not good just remember this,  if you want to achieve something big in your life first of all you should have a proper strategy and plan secondly you should be patient as success don't come over night .
You have to be consistent and determined in your plans and if you fail in your first attempt don't give up . Your grid is everything , your attitude defines you and your future so make sure you work on that first.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 05, 2023, 12:11:33 PM
The who threat is full of IPL there is also a series going on between Pakistan and NZ
Noone is talking about it.
Pakistan is taking the lead against NZ in its 5 matches series
Today is the fourth match of the five-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand, but the international matches are getting less attention and less discussion for the IPL matches. One of the main reasons for this is that 80% of cricket fans in the world are from India, so IPL matches are discussed everywhere but other international matches are not discussed much.
However, this is a T20 discussion thread, so the T20 matches organized in IPL are mainly discussed here. ODI matches between Pakistan and New Zealand will not be discussed here. An ODI discussion thread has been created for this.
The reason for ipl discussion is more obviously because all top players are participating in ipl currently and everyone's wants to follow their teams and players.  Ipl popularity cannot be questioned .
Pakistan vs Newzealand series is also followed by many people and discussed in a separate thread .
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 05, 2023, 12:07:27 PM
Middle order batsman and spin bowling for Pakistan is still underway. No perfect fit for the position. Atleast the team should've taken the step earlier and trained a player than experimenting the person for the position. Haris Sohail and Salman Agha were the pick for the moment. Pakistan seems to concentrate much on Fast bowling, inbetween it had good all rounders like Shoaib Malik. Now strong players that perform on bowling, if they didn't contribute good with batting isn't available in the Pakistan team.

Pakistan doesn't have any good allrounders now. And all of their available options are comprised of spin-bowling allrounders. Two decades back, they had some very good pace bowling allrounders, such as Abdul Razzaq and Azhar Mahmood. But nowadays they don't have any. Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah can bat a bit, but they can't be considered as allrounders. The Pakistani domestic cricket system is not producing such players, as the tracks are very supportive for the batsmen and doesn't support seam and swing bowling.
New Zealand performance is definitely very good as they are playing with their new players not main team, as compared to Pakistan who recently experimented their new players with Afghanistan and results we all have seen .
Pakistan is playing with their all top players and they had to win automatically so let's not give too much credit to them.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: What define your success, "money, fame or achievement"? on: May 05, 2023, 07:30:50 AM
Your success is your achievements in life money and fame will come automatically with that but what defines your success Is what you have achieved and where you have reached in your life. People now totally mix success with money and fame which is not true .
119  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: May 04, 2023, 06:12:32 PM
The truth is no one wants to remain poor everybody wants to make great name andown Fortune so I think if someone is poor does not mean he or she cannot be rich tomorrow.
In life there is a race we all must run wHicham is very important to us since money became so important that we all must get in other to purchase whatever we want it has become a major priority to each and every one of us
The world today is global and requires good living and we can only achieve this by putting effort to whatever we do our jobs is too important for us to play with
People stay poor because they want to stay like that,  those people who want to improve their lives they make use of all the possible opportunities and eventually take themselves out of poverty.
Hardworking people can do anything with their lives because they have that urge to grow and go better always.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you think of gold price in long term? on: May 04, 2023, 06:09:23 PM
Gold cannot lose its value since it is an in-kind asset that carries a functional value.  You can imagine the uses of gold in general in its natural capacity as a precious metal.  Actually, gold cannot be compared with the rest of the assets in the market, including precious materials, due to its scarcity.
Actually gold is not something that is difficult to get. Gold can be produced from nature, it's just that it takes expertise to get it. If gold can be purchased in tons, it means it is not scarcity. However, the price of gold is stable, and will not lose value.
Where I live gold prices are increasing drastically with each passing day and its impossible for any one to buy it or own it except from rich people obviously.
People wish to own it as their assets and investment because it is thought as a reason for financial stability for them.
